It's not New Life by jloveyslas. She goes to England after they leave or later but she never goes back to Japan as she didn't have money and I'm not sure if she wanted to go back. Lin finds her at a hostel or some club and invites her to his apartment to stay. I'm not sure if one of her powers was to go back into the past with the ripper and she gets cut in real life which makes Lin take her to his parents to help with her power. Not sure if I'm mixing up 2 stories but it sounds about right. It probably has been pulled.
