After double-checking Breezie Blossom to make sure it was fine (the only casualties were a few trodden flowers, which the Breezies worked tirelessly to help), everyone partied for the rest of the afternoon. As evening fell, Pinkie Pie called everyone to the square to make an announcement.

"Thank you, uh, everyone from everywhere, for helping us all save everything and everyone from this threat. Hopefully the Master, or whoever he was, can learn from the love we showed him and become a friend, too."

"Nice speech," Minty said cheerfully, and everyone giggled as Pinkie Pie went on.

"Just like Kimono said, we found a light of unity in all of us, and our love helped save the day and make new, valuable friends. Ponies from all over—Ponyville, Breezie Blossom, Butterfly Island, and Unicornia—came together to unite as one. I think," Pinkie Pie continued, "to further our newfound unity we should come up with a name for all of our lands put together."

She paused. "Umm… Does anyone have any suggestions for a name?"

Immediately, voices filled the air.

"Friendship Gardens," cried Fluffaluff the Breezie.

"Equestria," called Sunrise Song the unicorn.

"Can't we just keep Ponyville," asked Cotton Candy.

"Pony-butterfly-cornia-blossom-ville," yelled Baby Honolu-Loo.

"Wait, I think I have it," Minty called. "Storybelle showed me a story from a time when ponies from all over lived and worked together—and the name of that place was Ponyland. How does that sound?"

The assembled ponies smiled and began to chatter, excited.

"Ponyland, yeah!"

"I like it!"

"It's 'cause we're all ponies, except Spike and Whinsey!"

"Uh, maybe they can have, uh…Dragonia?"

At that Spike chuckled. "We're happy to live in Ponyland with all of you. Right, Whimsey?"

"Yup," the orange dragon said with a smile, now happily wearing two more of Minty's socks as a hat. "Ponyland's fine with me!"

"Then that's what we'll call it," Minty said. Just then, Rainbow Dash's face fell. She turned to the Forgotten Ones, looking a little sheepish.

"Darlings, er…I know the Master made us forget you some time before all this. I'm worried that even though he was defeated, it doesn't seem like we'll be getting our memories back of the times we shared. I'm truly sorry."

The ponies and dragon looked saddened at that, but Sweetie Belle gave a big smile that brightened the faces around her. "It's okay. We can just make new ones, here in Ponyland!"

She pulled Rainbow Dash into a hug, and the others followed, to cheers.

From then on, life in the lands was peaceful, but things weren't quite how they were before—they were better.

Pinkie Pie, Star Catcher, and Rarity were named official emissaries of Ponyland, but refused the titles unless everyone else was granted the same recognition, and they were, with Wysteria joking that she hoped no one would give her a third title any time soon.

Sweetberry's Sweet Shoppe, the Cotton Candy Café, and Daffidazey's Petal Parlor had quite a few more customers as a result, as the ponies began to explore the lands beyond home—but always came back in time for a good meal and a new hairdo. Razzaroo officially added Scootaloo, Cheerilee, Toola-Roola, Starsong, Sweetie Belle, and Whimsey to her birthday book, and the lands joined in celebrating whenever a party happened.

The inhabitants of Unicornia and Butterfly Island visited Ponyville and Breezie Blossom more frequently, and parties in each of the lands became a tradition that every pony (and dragon) enjoyed. Storybelle and Kimono wrote down the memories the Forgotten Ones shared of their past as well as more current events, now having new legends to share and embellish.

Spike and Whimsey made a home in Celebration Castle fit for dragons, while Toola-Roola went to Butterfly Island to draw inspiration from the tropical surroundings.

Sweetie Belle broke with Unicornian tradition and became the first Rainbow Princess who wasn't bright pink, while Cheerilee and Scootaloo shared a home near the Story Loft, perfect for telling stories and playing sports in equal measure.

Starsong became the first pegasus pony to live in Breezie Blossom, singing songs to the flowers and about the flowers to help them grow.

And the snake that was the Master?

After a long, long sleep, he woke up… and gave a grateful smile, his heart full of good dreams, hope, and love.

Then he slithered down the path to Ponyville, to make friends.
