Myra's clenched hands shook with rage as they were by her sides, her eyes flashed crossly as she stood in front of the one who caused Yugi and Seto pain during the time they were in Duelist Kingdom. Only he was now her opponent.
"You surprise me girl, after all he's done you are defending him?" The dark spirit of the ring said with a smirk growing on his face. Exhaling mutely she narrowed her eyes while raising her head high which left the spirit and Pegasus baffled at the change.
"Didn't I warn you about causing problems?" A silky voice entered their ears before Myra's pendent glowed causing the males to shield their eyes, soon an older Myra appeared and her eyes shone with anger.
"I should have known you would be after the eye. What a greedy fool you are" she spat coldly as the spirit smirked at her.
"How did you-? Who are you?" Pegasus asked in alarm but was ignored by the pair who continued to stare at the other. Shock didn't describe what Pegasus was feeling at the moment. She was an anomaly that not even his eye could sense let alone locate. This girl, one who is or was a mute had not only changed appearances which revealed to him that there was a spirit located inside the pendent just like Yugi's puzzle contained a spirit. However the difference was that there was something blocking his sight, he could see or hear nothing when he tried to see into her mind. It was like she didn't exist to his horror and what was worse- he had no idea of who she was and what she was going to do in retaliation for his actions. In fact just observing the pair it looked like there was a lot of bad blood between them. Which in itself was surprising since the pair or at least the ones who's bodies they inhabit behave like friends, maybe close friends if he took a look in Bakura's mind. However the girl-Myra had given him a hard time and had somehow blocked him from seeing her mind, instead he had received a severe splitting headache once he had tried and had been lucky to recover during the Duelist Kingdom tournament. Whatever power she and the spirit of her pendent have, just thinking about it terrified him to his core.
"Enough, you've already given me a migraine as it is" Myra said loudly causing Pegasus to go quiet.
"What a surprise you would show up, last time I appeared you didn't respond. But I must admit the girl was smart enough not to take part in my plans" the spirit said while folding his arms.
"We're not as naïve as you assume us to be" she spat "now leave or else I will carry out my threat from before" she said before an icy aura appeared around her. Taking the hint the spirit took a step back.
"This is not over, I will get that eye" he vowed before leaving. Sighing Myra placed a hand to her hips.
"Good luck" she muttered before turning to face Pegasus who's knees suddenly buckled from losing energy.
"He will make true on his words, you were fated to die today but I prevented it" Myra said darkly to his horror.
"So the why did you interfere?" He asked in a breathless voice while his hair shielded his face, placing a hand on her right hip she frowned.
"Power can be a drug, it's addictive and can ruin lives as well as yours... I don't like you don't get me wrong, but no one should suffer a fate like that" she replied bluntly.
"So then... what will you do?" Pegasus asked softly as he felt faint from the whole events that took place. He had lost the duel to Yugi, lost the right to gain Kaiba Corp and had to release the souls of the not only brothers but Yugi's grandfather so now his plan to being his wife back failed. But where had he gone wrong? Myra's eyes narrowed.
"I want to extract the eye, this time without him killing you. It has caused you sleepless nights and pain, surely it would be nice for you to part with it" She asked calmly to his horror.
"Please... if you take it, I will never see her again" Pegasus pleaded as he got up and crawled using his knees, once he was close did he hold her hands causing her to stare blankly.
"All the more reason to take it" he froze with a helpless look on his face that almost broke her heart but she had to remain strong for his sake, for the sake of the living and dead. It had to be done, a similar but kinder fate compared to the cruel karma he was going to be subjected to. Despite his wrongdoings she could see some light, desperation had consumed him and he had been taken advantage of to her anger. So in the end mercy and compassion was all she could give in return.
"It's driving you mad, if she was here she should cry in grief for what you did and have become" Myra said darkly.
"I... I can't part with it-" he paused when she placed her hands on his shoulders.
"You must" her tone now stronger and firm leaving Pegasus feeling powerless. "This... Pegasus is not to be taken lightly, people were slaughtered for these items. Men, women, children" she added but ignored the shock as it ran through his body.
"My mother was murdered before she could stop it from happening, I know what it's like to grieve and it hurts so much that you feel like someone took a piece of you and destroyed it in front of you. You feel broken and lost but you can't go on like this" she gestured to the mirror after sitting on her knees, he slowly turned to look at the mirror which revealed his tired appearance "would she want you to feel this way? To be a hollow shell of the man you once was, losing who you were when you were with her? I know, I know how losing someone you love can damage you but... you have to get up and carry on, if not for your sake but for hers. Can you try?" Myra asked softly as she looks at him with sympathy.
"What if I can't?" Pegasus asked in a broken tone that had her eyes become more sad.
"You need to see someone about this, you've bottled this up for so many years that you've aged and have began to wallow in despair. But you can do this, you only have to take the first step and call" Myra added softly, Pegasus released a broken shaky chuckle however didn't comment. She was right after all.
"Can I ask who you really are madam? After all the girl I saw with Yugi boy never spoke a word" Myra's eyes lit up slightly as a fond smile formed on her lips.
"Marium, my name is Marium and like the spirits of the puzzle and the ring we have lived since the Shadow Games" Marium replied kindly but watched his reaction as he immediately grew pale before turning to look at her.
"Then you must be the woman spoken about in the carvings, the one who died before-" Marium placed her fingers to his lips.
"I have one last chance to help make things right... personally I would like to punch that foolish idiot for the pain he caused back then but" she sighed heavily "how can I when he doesn't remember what he did, bit too cruel however it doesn't stop me from remaining by his side" Marium commented with a warm smile.
"What a pair of fools we are" she giggled causing him to smile.
"Why can't little Myra not duel?" Pegasus asked as even now he found himself unable to read the child's mind, Marium piped up and smiled.
"The same way she blocks you from seeing into her thoughts, she is a psychic" this took him by surprise "and if you think logically, what if you accidentally brought monsters to life? Would you still want to duel?" She asked with a lopsided smile, Pegasus bit his lower lip before nodding.
"If that is the case, I want you and little Myra to guard this card, I made a few cards that can help bring it to the field but you might end up using a new method to summon it" Pegasus soon stood up and opened a draw, curious Marium stood up while dusting some of her long light blue dress and followed. Her eyebrows furrowed from seeing a case with a lock on it but remained quiet until the case was open. Her eyes went wide in shock as she recognised what the card was.
"I made two, one was unfortunately stolen by a group who are also after the second card. But this card is the final product of the prototype I made. With this I am sure you both know how to summon it" he said softly as he handed her the card. "It's only right to hand this over to you given your history, I am truly sorry for the pain I caused" he added causing her to look and smile at him.
"I will remember your kindness... magic multiplier" Marium spoke with a baffled look on her face.
"It's use effects one magic card of your choosing more than once, I have a feeling that if you and little Myra do take up duelling. It will be one to watch, I have no regrets in handing this to you because I know it will be in safe hands" Pegasus added before she nodded.
"Thank you" she smiled.

The pair went down stairs to see Yugi and the others standing at the foot of the steps.
"May you have a safe trip home" Pegasus said before bowing politely to Marium curtsied in reply.
"Thank you, do take care of yourself and remember what we spoke about" Marium replied before hearing some of the group either gasp or yelp in surprise.
"You can talk?" Joey cried before she turned to give him a foul look, Marium soon felt Pegasus slowly backing away but paid no heed.
"I believe that I am Joey Wheeler, I am sure that I can hear my own voice thank you" she bit crossly as she placed her hands on her hips.
"But how? I thought that you were a mute" Joey asked before Yugi gasped as realisation struck.
"You're the woman I saw at the museum a year ago" Marium smiled as she tilted her head slightly while the others were left baffled "back then I thought you were Myra but older" Marium placed a hand to her mouth a chuckled.
"How sweet of you to say, you almost flatter me" she said brightly causing his face to go red from her words, moving towards him she bent down slightly before placing her hand on his right cheek causing him to tense up. Téa as she watched felt a twinge in her chest but didn't say or do anything but instead watched the woman touch Yugi's cheek.
"Who knew... that I would see this line flourish" Marium giggled mentally as she smiled at his curious expression.
"You remind me of someone" she mused taking him by surprise as he blinked from her words "he unfortunately had a habit of making me worry and thought he had to suffer alone" she added before sighing, meanwhile as Yugi looked at Marium he felt as if he knew her from somewhere and just being near her gave him comfort. Almost as if his mother was right in front of him which was impossible since his mother didn't look like her... right?
"You're a good boy Yugi, you did right by sparing Seto. I am sure he has suffered his just reward for such unorthodox means so worry not, as for the spirit... I am sure my words are still ringing in his ears" she added the last bit in a stern tone that almost had most of them shivering as they remembered her appearing, they had watched her storm towards him in order to slap the older Yugi in the face before giving him a serious scolding not caring that his face was going red from the force of the slap. Just as Yugi was about to speak she pulled back before sighing.
"I will see you in the future I am sure Pegasus but remember our talk" she added warmly before cradling her right elbow with her left hand. Smiling softly the man nodded before having one of the members of his security escort them to the boat that will lead them home.
However Marium laughed as soon as Mokuba the youngest Kaiba brother made Seto bring everyone to the helicopter.
Now content with everything Marium closed her eyes and relaxed not caring if some were looking at her due to being tired. She knew she had stopped Shadi from appearing but she had done what she thought was right, she spared someone who she knew would help in the future, she had gained something that would infuriate the evil spirit of the ring as he knew it would be hard to get anything from her for good reasons.
"Um Miss..." Yugi called shyly.
"Hmm?" She sighed softly.
"Did we meet before? I feel as if I know you somewhere" Yugi asked only to see her smile softly while her eyes remained closed.
"Ask your mother, not that I mind if she doesn't say. It's not like she would know much" Marium replied softly as she listened to the blades of the helicopter.
"Is Myra okay?" Yugi asked causing her to open an eye.
"She is sleeping, you'll see her later" Marium promised.

Myra stared at the rain with a bland look from the doors that led to the gates of the school.
"See you tomorrow at the station" Yugi's voice caused Myra to look at where his voice came from and blinked from seeing Téa. Curious Myra soon shook her head since it was not her concern, once she grabbed her umbrella she left the school while allowing the sounds of the rain to soothe her slightly. Her mind went the cards that were in a case stored her bag, to think she was thinking about dueling again but as Marium had stated she had to protect it for Pegasus gave the card to her for a reason. She had to do this and yet it felt like being reunited with a lost friend thanks to it's aura. As she walked her mind went to St White's day and how she blacked out to give Marium space since she wanted to experience the day only now she dreaded tomorrow since it was arriving on Monday, the day they were suppose to be at school.
"Great... another sick day for me, BLEH!" She pulled a face from the thought. Once at home Myra placed her bag on the table before taking the case out to see the first card which was a yellow creature that left her smiling. Her fingers trailed across the face of the creature before taking the other cards out. One card revealed to be a small white haired fairy with green eyes wearing colourful leaves for dress, just seeing it left her wanting to giggle.
"Lil fairy, Pegasus was kind enough to make this type of deck. Sure it will be annoying to try and get all the elemental pieces to fuse but it will be worth it" Marium's kind voice echoed in Myra's mind, hearing this made Myra smile.
"Like pieces of a puzzle" Myra signed with a wider smile.
"Only it's not Exodia, I found it to be quite troublesome... I am just relieved I could teleport the pieces into my hand before they could find out. Solomon was happy to get them back" Marium replied as Myra remembered using hers and Marium's powers to catch and warp the cards to her before hiding them in her bag after sneaking on the boat.
Even Yugi had been surprised that she had hid this from him but understood how he had to discover how to win without the use of the strategy.
Smiling she looked at the cards before packing them away.
"Bad people will be after this card, however if we summon it when we're alone. It will only truly obey you Myra" Marium explained with a worried look. Myra's mouth went to the right as she contemplated Marium's words.
"Okay" Myra signed before blinking as she sensed Yugi feeling happy next door.
"He's going on a date with Téa?" Myra signed with a curious look, only Marium had a pensive look on her face which showed she wasn't truly thrilled.
"He's doing it for the spirit" Marium replied softly shocking Myra.
"But you- will you be okay with this?" Marium sighed before nodding.
"If he wants to be with her... let him, he doesn't remember me darling" Marium said while trying to remain calm but Myra was no fool, spying her top draw she opened it to see the Millennium Eye staring at her.
"To think... Akefia's father's soul is trapped inside this eye... what a cruel way to suffer" Marium said before retreating inside her mind.
"I had hoped to see him on St White's Day, but it's only a pipe dream" Myra frowned at Marium's thoughts and sighed. She eyed the date before nodding sharply.
"School it is then" she signed, she then eyed the card and the eye.

When the older Yugi arrived at the house his mind was still out of it from what he had heard.
"I had expected you to arrive with someone else Yami, perhaps fate has it's own way of changing. That or she does not want to be found" Ishizu's words rang in his ears. Even now he was unsure of who she was talking about until he saw Myra putting items away with a frown on her face, however once she looked at him she stopped and waved briefly before going back to work taking him by surprise. Had he done something to upset her or something?
"Myra... is everything okay?" Yami asked as he went towards her, immediately she stopped before frowning.
"I don't know, you tell me? Did you learn anything today?" Myra asked before putting more stuff on the shelves. Pausing Yami pondered on her words.
"I found out that I was once a pharaoh from Ancient Egypt" he replied softly only she didn't stop as she listened leaving him feeling a sense that something was wrong.
"Anything else?" She signed but didn't look at him, blinking he was surprised by her lack of reaction.
"There will be an ancient evil that will rise to destroy the world" he replied after trying assess why she was acting this way, his eyes did widen as she sent the box into his arms.
"Finish up, I am going to eat" she signed with a cold look before leaving him alone with the items.
"Why is she so mad? All you did was hang out with Téa" Yugi commented but Yami as he tried to process what had happened had a sinking suspicion he had done something wrong, that or he had forgotten something important.
"I had expected you to arrive with someone else Yami, perhaps fate has it's own way of changing. That or she does not want to be found" Yami paused from the words as they echoed in his head once more causing the pack in his hand to drop.
"What did she mean?" Yami muttered before picking up the item, just then he staggered for a bit and dropped the box.
"Yami what's wrong?" Yugi asked but Yami's mind was somewhere else.
"I'm sorry... this is my fault, please... please come back! I'll do anything, just... open your eyes please!" Yami covered his face as he felt his eyes brimming with tears, an image of a bloody white dress entered his mind but he could not see who the dress belonged to only just trying to see left his heart weeping. Who was it? Who would cause him to feel this way?
"Yami are you okay?" Yugi asked but Yami didn't respond.
"Perhaps fate has it's own way of changing. That or she does not want to be found" Yami bit the inside of his cheek before looking at the box.

The first thing Myra did as she looked around the endless see of sand and buildings was wonder if she was really dreaming. The people even as they dressed in a certain way, the plain flat roofed buildings, the merchants who spoke and tried to encourage people to buy from their stores. It looked like she was in a scene of a play which surprised her deeply. Walking inside the village she marvelled at how they behaved but kept to herself by remaining out of the public eye, she would remain a spectator but part of her wondered if she was invisible or not.
She smiled at the positive energy in the area while walking until she saw an audience, curious she approached it only to wince and fall from someone who had knocked her over causing her to glare at the cloaked person before sending her foot on their leg earning her a yelp from the person who sounded male. Standing up she stomped her foot and gave him her fiercest look that left the male pausing as she pointed to the floor. The male blinked at the floor before looking at her even as she made the gesture of pushing someone.
"What do you want me to do about it? You were in the way?" He said bluntly. Her eyes flared in anger before she took two angry steps towards him and punched his stomach causing him to cry out in pain before she slapped him as his face was lowered. Stomping her foot repeatedly due to being unable to speak she pointed at him before making the apology gesture not caring if they were making a scene. He sneered at her while his hood came off revealing a tanned white haired male with purple eyes, his face had a long scar with a few lines across it but she paid no heed.
"Apologise now!" She signed as her mood darkened.
"What is going on around here?" Asked a very angry man.
"Who dares disturb the precession of the Pharaoh" Before Myra could process what was going on the man she was angry with grabbed her and ran, fury filled him for being so reckless at causing a scene, and with a girl of all things!
He could have ended the Pharaoh but he didn't because of her, just what possessed him to allow himself to get side tracked?
Huffing mutely she glared at him from where he had taken them- to a tavern.
"Who are you girl?" He demanded once they were alone in a room "Who are you to do that to me?" He added however to his anger she looked away while folding her arms. Twitching he grabbed her white collared shirt and pulled her up in order to face him leaving her unimpressed. Now that she was looking at him, he did look like Bakura but why was she dreaming of him?
"Speak!" He demanded but she did not causing him to grit his teeth.
"And who are you dare I ask?" She tried to sign clearly while making noticible gestures that had him pausing.
"Can't you speak?" He snapped but with a little less anger.
"Congrats! You do have a brain after all" this left him more angry for the insult.
"You dare disrespect the King of thieves?!" He yelled only to growl as she yawned mutely showing that she wasn't impressed by anything, sneering he dropped Myra causing her to raise a brow at him while her eyes narrowed from what he did. Spying a papyrus and ink she teleported them to her hands and began to write but ignored the cry of surprise that left his lips.
"Thanks sweetheart that was really nice of you, hurt me even more why don't you" she showed him with cold eyes that had him tensing up.
"H-how did you do that?!" He screamed in surprise.
"None of your business nosy! Do you always send girls to the floor? If so what a heartbreaker you are" she added with a sarcastic look leaving him more irritated.
"Who are you?" He asked in the same cold tone before she wrote something down.
"Again none of your business! You pushed me to the floor without any remorse or care about how I would feel so go stare at a wall. Honestly some king you are, no doubt it's a self proclaimed title" his eyes flashed at the insult however instead of hurting her he punched a wall.
"What a little kid" she said dryly earning her a growl at him.
"Shut up!" He yelled in anger.
"Can't speak genius, honestly didn't we go through all this?" She asked with an unimpressed look on her face.

The pair soon stared at the other for almost the whole evening, neither moving an inch as anger and annoyance filled them.
"This wouldn't have happened if you hadn't pushed me" she wrote as laughter downstairs hit their ears not that it made him anymore happy. He knew that he had made a stupid move and yet part of him was surprised that he had pushed someone who reminded him of a girl who stayed at his village for a bit before heading back to the city where the Pharaoh lived. Everyday since his misfortune he had wanted to see her but only after he arrived, he had found out of her marriage much to his dismay. It wouldn't have been so bad but it was to the newly crowned Pharaoh, the one who's father ruined his life. Of all the people she could have married it had to be that fool. Just knowing this made his blood boil so he had tried to think of a way to end the pharaoh's life, sadly he had to push this girl ruining that one chance he had.
"And you shouldn't have been in my way" he said knowing it was a silly excuse and he was in the wrong. Raising a brow Myra folded her arms but continued to frown until he sighed and got up.
"Stay here while I go downstairs for food" he ordered.
"Don't keep me waiting" she rolled her eyes as she stared at him, pausing he looked at her from the corner of his eye and then left. Huffing silently she glared at the door but kept to herself. Was she even dreaming? It felt all too real to her surprise.
Once he came back his hands were holding a tray, placing it on his side of the room Myra immediately turned her nose at the rude behaviour and shook her head. Blinking the man stared at her and then at the food, the young male slowly stood up and handed her one of the fruits only to wince as she knocked his hand away.
"Hey I am being nice to you here!" He faltered as he saw her eyes harden in anger, for a split second he could almost imagine that he was seeing the girl he once knew in not just her appearance but her eyes as well leaving him completely unsettled. How could he see the girl he knew in this girl now? It made no sense and yet he was unable to shake the feeling away.
"Who... are you?" He asked lowly but she kept her head turned causing him to now wince, why wouldn't she be mad after what he did? But wait... why was he feeling this? He was the King of thieves, he took what he wanted and had no remorse for doing so. He had a hatred for the royal family who ruined his life and those who lived in his village, why should he care about what she felt? Only... thinking back to the girl he knew, his heart twisted from the fact he lost her.
"I'm sorry" he said while kneeling on one knee, his eyes showing sincerity to his surprise but she didn't look to his dismay. It was then his mind went to how she knew nothing about him nor did he know anything about her and he had kidnapped her, did she have a family waiting for at home? Just thinking this left his stomach twisting while bile filled his throat. Why was he now feeling remorse now?
"My name is Akefia, I use to live in Kul Elna before the previous Pharaoh ordered his men to kill everyone in order to make the Millennium items" Akefia said only to pause, why had he said all that?! To his surprise she shuffled but kept one eye on him now signalling to continue.
"Today... I was going to get my revenge on the pharaoh by killing his son" just then she grabbed the items she used to write before causing him to go silent.
"Revenge never works the way you want, you will end up bitter and will be forced to carry the burden of what you've done. It is a cruel life to lead regardless of what he did or didn't do. Never blame the child for the father's misdeeds" she wrote before frowning at him. He blinked before narrowing his eyes.
"What do you know? You didn't live my life!" He snapped.
"No excuse!" She gave him a stern look causing him to falter. "Would your family be happy to see you act like this? I sure as hell wouldn't in fact I would be ashamed" she slammed her pen like item onto the ground and gave him a scolding look causing him to bits the inside of his cheek. His mind went to his warm hearted mother who despite been born and raised in Kul Elna was hardly anything like her people, his strong but brave and kind father who would allow him to sit on his shoulders while they would often travel from city to city at times thanks to his father's work. Work that Akefia was told he would inherit from his father when he was older. Then there was his sister Rui, his baby sister who had been shy but would always smile at them. Just thinking about them broke his heart as he remembered his father taking his sword and instructing his mother to hide them, only his mother had been unable to bear the suffering thanks to her kind nature instructed Akefia to take Rui and leave the city in order to seek aid from the Pharaoh. Sadly he had lost his sister from the massacre and soon learned that it was the Pharaoh who made them suffer. Why should he seek the man who caused all this? His father had at times spoken highly of the Pharaoh and acted like he was an old friend... some friend if he forced his father to head into an early grave.
"You know nothing..." he shook his head in disgust.
"Did you even ask him if he did what you assume him to have done and asked why?" She asked with a raised brow as she saw his memories, at least she knew who's memories she had seen during her dreams. Frowning at her question Akefia scoffed.
"Why should I?" He spat only to paused as she gave him another stern look, sighing mutely she shook her head.
"If you are going to accuse and ruin someone's reputation, do it fairly and ask. Evidence is everything and we often miss out on important details" she puffed the left side of her cheek while showing him the note.
"Why should I-?" he froze as she threw a fruit at his head causing his hair to be covered in gunk from the offending food. Giving him a look she turned her head but did nothing else. She had to get out of here, she was unsure on how she could pull it off due to the fact he was a thief but using her powers were out of the question. She had to learn without being too reliant on something that could fail, she had learned before but she had to wait for the perfect opportunity.
Staring at her with his dirty hair shielding his eyes, he sighed knowing he had offended her somehow. But why was she so quick to defend the one person who ruined his life? Evidence? What good would that do? He was the only surviving witness to the massacre, his word meant nothing.
Getting up he went to the door and left, there was no way she could escape. He would easily track her down and who would believe a mute?
Only as he arrived back now clean he froze as the window was open, however... the girl was gone.

Myra dashed towards where the palace was, she knew Marium would be there and could help. No doubt she would have sensed Myra appearing. But why? Why was Myra here? Who brought her here?
She shook off the thoughts and ran, she had to seek aid. She had to find out what happened in Kul Elna for Akefia's sake. As much as she wanted to go home this was too important, she knew without a doubt injustice had been made on the city but she wanted to know why and what caused it to happen.
As soon as she spotted the gates she tried to run inside but was stopped by spears to her dismay.
"Halt! This is the royal palace, what is your business here?" Asked a guard. Looking at him she pointed at herself, her mouth and then at the palace. Curious the guards looked at her feeling baffled they looked at the other.
"Speak girl, why are you here?" The second guard asked sternly adding to more of her frustration, she then pointed at the palace with a panicked before making a crown gesture on her head.
"You... want to see the pharaoh?" The first guard asked sounding more unsure of what to make of this strange clothed girl, shaking her head rapidly Myra made a crown gesture again and flipped her hair back but never took her eyes off of them.
"Does she mean the queen?" The second asked, hearing this she nodded with a shaky smile before gesturing to her mouth and then the palace.
"Who are you girl? We have never seen you here before" Myra groaned mutely and stared at them, she stomped her foot a few times before pointing at the palace.
"Maybe we should alert Shimon?" The second asked.
"We don't even know who she is and she wears strange clothes. She looks like a beggar as well, why would she want to speak to the queen?" Myra gave then a frustrated look before kneeling so she could write something down, baffled the men look.
"Auntie is inside. Need to speak to auntie Marium it's important" she stood up and stomped her foot a few times before gesturing to the palace while her eyes showed she needed them to hurry up. Growing uneasy the pair looked at the other before getting another guard.
"Get advisor Shimon, he will know what to do" the first one said, Myra hearing this shook her head rapidly before stomping the ground more harder than before.
"What is going on? Why are you all standing here instead of guarding the gate?" Said a voice Myra knew too well. Looking at a young man with brown hair, blue eyes and white robes while holding a yellow sceptre like object Myra watched him with startled eyes.
"Priest Seto!" The guards knelt whereas Myra remained standing. She soon before the guards could speak gestured to the floor where her writing was, she then stomped her foot angrily causing Seto to narrow his eyes.
"Can't you speak?" Seto asked only to blink as she shook her head with sad eyes, placing her hands together she gave him a pleading look that left him confused if not on edge.
"You say she is your auntie?" Seto asked before cries behind him alerted him that something was happening.
"Oh honestly! She is just a girl, what could she do to me?" Came a very angry female voice that made the hairs on all the male's neck stand on their ends. Turning round Seto saw a woman that looked like Myra to his shock storm over towards them while ignoring protests of both maids and guards. Myra's eyes went wide while a smile formed on her lips, not caring if it was inappropriate Myra snuck past the four and hugged a laughing Marium.
"You surprised me for sure, what are you doing here?" Marium asked with a light smile.
"Wait so you know who I am?" Myra signed after pulling back but was pulled into another hug.
"Nothing escapes my sight" Marium laughed.
"Not even one who's soul has gone to the past" Marium commented mentally, however Myra was in shock. She had been sent to the past?! But how? She didn't do it.
"My queen it is not proper-" Marium's glare silenced the guards.
"You two! For insulting my niece you are going to the crocodile den and will be cleaning there for a month, do I make myself clear?" Marium barked crossly. The pair mentally cried but ended up kneeling before leaving.
Shaking her head Marium then turned to look at Myra with a concerned look.

"Let's go in. You look pale" Marium said softly before guiding Myra inside. Soon an old man who was similar to Solomon appeared while running towards them
"My Queen, you shouldn't run off in your condition" the man said while panting for air after he stopped running. Marium soon placed a hand to her belly alerting Myra enough to look. Her eyes widened as she saw Marium's swollen belly.
"I am fine Advisor Shimon, my poor niece however was being troubled by the guards. Layda my poor sister tried to send her daughter to me for a visit and the misfit guards almost hurt her" Marium huffed in anger.
"But my Queen, it is dangerous now a days. You are due in a few months, the physician even said to rest" Shimon pleaded wearily.
"I will rest when the darkness is dealt with" Marium huffed before taking Myra with her. Looking at Shimon briefly from the corner of her eye Myra was left baffled by what she was seeing.

"My husband's doing work in the throne room" Marium explained as they sat in one of the rooms located in the royal chamber in order to gain privacy. Thanking the servant who placed two cups on the table in front Marium soon looked at Myra who bit her lip.

"He understands that I need rest just as much as I want to get involved with the affairs..." Marium released a small smile "something my mother and I had in common" Myra looked away from the balcony to look at Marium who relaxed while placing one hand on top of her belly.

"Does it bother you? Don't you feel like a nuisance?" Myra asked causing Marium to laugh.

"No no Myra, I know that there are things I can do and cannot do. I'm not all powerful and I'm sure my husband wants me to rest after passing out during a meeting" she mused but cared not about the shocked expression Myra had. "I had forgotten to eat earlier that day, it's normal but I regress... what has brought you here however I have no idea to be honest" Marium said softly with a sad look, Myra looked down at her cup before her shoulders slouched in defeat.

"Whoever brought you here must have called you, but if you want I can send you back. After all a soul without a body is at risk of terrible danger if you know what I mean" Marium said in a grave voice, Myra nodded before Akefia's image came to mind.

"Did you know that the people of Kul Elna were killed to make the Millennium items?" Myra asked with a worried face, Marium immediately froze in shock.

"What did you say?!" Marium asked as she went pale. "Please do not jest, no one is allowed to harm the village. It was a rule created by my father in law for specific reasons" Marium said now feeling her heart race from dread. However to her dismay Myra's expression remained sombre leaving Marium wanting to weep.

"Was... how do you know about this?" Marium asked now wanting to be sick. Her friends had been there, her mother's friend had been there and just hearing this left her wanting to weep. Myra feeling her emotions bit her lip.

"Akefia told me after he took me from the procession"

CLATTER

Marium's cup fell to the floor, her hands went to her mouth while tears formed in her eyes.

"He's alive, my gosh he's alive" Marium shot up only to wince and bend over in pain due to the sudden movement.

"Marium please be careful!" Myra sighed rapidly as she helped Marium back onto her chair.

"S-Sorry... It's just... I had no idea, just this news... you may not know this but I have been trying to find out who killed my mother. Something my husband has been helping me do secretly but we've had no results, not even a body and I know she is not alive! She would never leave us like this" Marium said while tears ran down her face. Myra hearing this swallowed thickly.

"Do you think there's a connection?" Myra asked while Marium remained in tears.

"There has to be, mother was murdered then Akefia's family was missing no doubt after that and then my father in law... you may not know this but they were friends" Marium thanked Myra for the water and slowly took sips. "My mother, my father in law and Akefia's father. Since they were young they trusted the other and whenever they needed help they would be there. Which was why my mother was the second advisor to the Pharoah while Akefia's father was the one who helped deal with issues with the kingdom because like mother he knows how to bond with them. Just knowing that they all died one after the other and just them, I know that there's a connection. My husband does to but what can we do, we have to trust the guardians but it's hard... especially with my husband's uncle" Marium bit her lip weakly.

"Why?" Myra asked with a confused look.

"He hated my mother and always looked down at me ever since I first arrived with my husband, he's never hesitated to put me down in front of everyone... however he does it so slyly that it leaves my husband unable to help" Marium said bitterly as she looked at her belly.

"Don't give up, you went through a lot so in a way he's a pushover" Myra added causing Marium to smile and hum with her eyes closed.

"Yes... thank you Myra, I truly am grateful for telling me about Akefia because in a way, I now have more hope that things can work out for the best. I now need to make it happen" Marium smiled "it won't be easy but for our fallen loved ones I will fight tooth and nail to make my dream of a peaceful kingdom a reality and seeing you" Marium opened her eyes to show Myra tear filled eyes that were brimming with joy.

"I know that the future will be secure, it won't be how I expect it to be but I will fight despite my shortened lifespan" Myra was about to smile until she heard the last part.

"Shortened lifespan?" Myra asked now looking baffled while Marium sighed with a saddened look.

"I didn't tell my husband because I didn't want to burden him but... I am cursed, as was my mother but how it started I do not know. Nor do I know anything about my grandmother who died the day my mother was born" Marium looked at Myra with tired eyes. "If he knew, it would ruin him and I don't want him to suffer. Not like this" Marium shook her head while holding Myra's hand tightly but not too tightly to hurt the girl who was left stunned.

"My mother died when she was twenty four, which according to father is the same age as my grandmother... something I now have to prepare since I am twenty" Marium said with a bit of mirth in her eyes as she saw Myra's mouth almost drop.

"How old is your husband?" Myra asked now looking curious, not that Marium minded.

"He is twenty one... growth spurt might be taking some time for him" Marium joked causing Myra to purse her lips together despite the amusement in her eyes gave her away.

"You should tell him, secrets can hurt a lot of people" Myra signed with a frown to which Marium nodded in reply.

"Yes, I know... It's just hard after finding out" Marium added with a broken smile.

"How did you find out?" Myra asked with a curious look as she tilted her head.

"My power is tied to being a seer, I know who will die and how but I often send their souls to the afterlife with my powers as well as have the ability to see into the future. A price to pay when born during an alignment" Marium shook her head before releasing a heavy sigh as she saw that the sun was setting.

"It's late, my husband will come see me after the servant informed him of my collapse in this room" Marium said with a shake of her head. Honestly...

Myra nodded before getting up.

"I shall send you home now, but take care when you dream. Somehow whoever brought you here needed you but has somehow become indecisive, something even I would be annoyed about" Marium said before Myra rolled her eyes. "Take care darling and stay strong but remember, you have live past twenty four. If not, live life to the fullest and remain strong" Marium told Myra before kissing her forehead.

"But what about the boys in your family? Are they cursed?" Myra asked with concern filled eyes, to her dismay Marium's eyes grew weary.

"Twenty six" was all Marium said in such a cold bitter tone before she sent Myra's soul back to it's time period. Sighing she looked at the door to hear a sandals slapping the floor before arriving at the door.

"Marium! Are you alright?!" came a male who had tri coloured spiky hair, smiling faintly Marium stared at him.

"I'm fine dear, just stood up too quickly" Marium replied lightly while watching him storm towards her, now at the table he knelt down and examined her.

"Shimon please call the physician" the male ordered the priest who nodded.

"Oh darling why?" she exhaled while eyeing him weakly.

"Was no one with you? Why are you here by yourself?" he asked sternly before helping her towards the bed.

"I had a friend visit me, she had to go home" Marium explained lightly.

"A friend? I thought your niece came to visit?" the man asked causing her to smile "and since when did your niece arrive? Last time I remember she is only three" Marium giggled softly.

"A different kind of niece darling, one I cannot explain so freely. Even to you" she chuckled as he frowned in a child like manner while puffing his left cheek to show he was not happy. What a little kid and he was older... oh well, he was her husband/kid and she married him for better or worse.

Myra now dressed in a white dress with a white belt attached to the waist sat at her desk with a pensive look on her face. She remembered waking up the day before to feel extreme agony as she was unable to move a limb resulting in a confused Lily to enter the room after sensing a disturbance from Myra's room. Alarmed Lily had immediately begun helping the distressed girl who was in tears as the pain grew.

"Your soul and body are acting as if they're detached from the other! How did this happen?!" Lily had screamed before shooing a scared Yugi who had ran in the room the moment he heard his mother's panicking screams. Both remained in a traumatic state until Myra's body and soul had finally settled. Sadly the girl had remained severely weakened even as she tried to recover. Even now Myra remained confused as to why this had happened since the last time she had unintentionally inhabited someone's body in the past but felt no after shock. However there was nothing she could do except recover from the state she had been put under.

"-ra? Myra are you okay?" Miho asked softly alerting Myra to the girl beside her.

"I'm fine, did you need something?" Myra asked with a curious look.

"What happened to Myra? I hope she is okay" Miho said mentally while Myra waited for her to speak.

"Miho wanted to know if you could help bring the books to the Teacher's lounge? Please Myra Miho need help because some people in our class asked me for help" Miho pleaded as Myra looked at her while blinking with a blank look. Nodding Myra stood up and accepted the books.

"Thank you! I really appreciate it!" Miho hugged a now surprised Myra before running to help a trio of girls who were in their class. Staring at the six books in her arms Myra guessed they were to do with attendance and other stuff. Shrugging slightly she left the room to find the lounge located two floors above her class.

"Myra!" Yugi called as he ran from the row of stairs below her, sighing mutely she stopped to look at him as he reached her while dressed in a white shirt, white tie, white trousers and white shoes. "How are you feeling? Do you need help?" Yugi asked as he noticed the books in her arms. Staring at the books she nodded and watched him take four books off the pile in her arms leaving her staring at him as he struggled slightly from the weight.

"I'm fine don't worry" Yugi grinned as he saw her frowning leaving her to roll her eyes at his stubborn streak before walking up the stairs.

"So did you send any letters or chocolates?" Yugi asked with a smile as he remained two steps behind her, blanching in disgust Myra stopped so she could be level with Yugi and gave him an offended look. "S-Sorry just curious that's all" Yugi smiled weakly as he knew that he stepped on a nerve, part of him giggled mentally as he saw her stick her tongue out in a 'bleh' like manner. Shaking his head at her reaction he kept walking until they were on the third floor and resumed walking after taking a breather.

"I was thinking of talking to Téa today" Yugi admitted shyly to her surprise "I really like her but things keep coming up and... I don't want to lose her if she doesn't feel the same way" Yugi added now feeling down from thinking the worst. Raising a brow Myra nudged him slightly and nudged her head up taking him by surprise.

"You mean it? You think she would say yes?" Yugi asked with hope filled eyes.

"Won't know until you try" she mouthed before shrugging with a small smile on her face, Yugi's mouth parted slightly before he beamed at her supporting him.

"Yeah! You're right! Why should I assume the worst when it could turn out differently?" Yugi chirped as he now felt determined look on his face that left her almost wanting to smirk at how easy it was to cheer him up, then again she did hope it would go well for the pair.

As the duo arrived on the forth they soon made their way towards the Teacher's lounge, now at the door Myra knocked on the door while balancing the two books with one arm. Yugi remained smiling as he held the books even after a teacher opened the door.

"These are to put on our teacher- Mr Devs' desk" Yugi explained after they greeted the female teacher with a brief bow of their heads.

"Daaaw such a sweet pair of students" Smiling the ebony haired teacher helped them with the books and cleared some space on their teacher's desk.

"Thank you Miss Ria" Yugi beamed causing the teacher to almost blush at how happy Yugi was. Did he get confessed to? Curious she looks at Myra who gives her a 'not on your life' look surprising the teacher.

"It is a pleasure, you know Mr Devs has spoken about you Myra if I am guessing correctly" Miss Ria said brightly taking Myra by surprise.

"He has?" Yugi asked showing his surprise earning him a giggle.

"Of course, straight A student in arts and history. He really is happy that he speaks about the achievements during break" Miss Ria said while Myra raises a brow at the comment.

"I'm not that impressive" Myra sighed earning her another giggle.

"Oh really Myra? The last piece you made left him wanting to enter it in a contest but you refused. What was it called again? Floral-"

"Flourishing feathers" Myra signed with a blank look, meanwhile Yugi was left stunned at what he was hearing.

"I never saw it! Is it still in school?" Yugi asked now looking excited to Myra's dismay.

"Of course, it's locked in the room opposite your art classroom" Miss Ria smiled despite Myra's upset mood. She didn't want anyone to see it, she only painted it to honour Abbas and his wife. To her it didn't need to be showcased like it was something special because it was precious and who's to say it wouldn't be damaged by anyone?

"Can we see it Myra?" Yugi asked now almost jumping on the spot as he was itching to run and find the piece leaving Myra to frown.

"But what about confessing to Téa?" Myra asked with a sour look.

"I can do that later, come on Myra please let me see it please!" Yugi pleaded causing her to raise a brow.

"No Yugi and that's final" Myra signed before placing her hands on her hips while resisting the urge to falter due to his puppy dog eyes. Rolling her eyes she walked away.

"Where are you going?" Yugi cried but she just kept walking away which left him groaning.

"Oh dear, she is a secretive one isn't she?" Miss Ria smiles at him "I can lend you the key if you want" she offered to his surprise.

"Really?!" He said with an excited look.

"But! You must give it back" she added sternly while smiling at his behaviour.

"I promise Miss Ria" he nodded quickly.

Myra sighed mutely as she relaxed against the blossom tree, that was not fun even for her.

"My, that was something" Marium mused with a soft smile while seeing Myra roll her eyes.

"Why is he so interested in the painting? It's private and I cannot believe she would tell him" Myra groaned mutely due to dread. This was the last thing she wanted- attention despite the fact it was to appease two spirits. Soon her mind went to the playful expression of the other Myra while her husband smiled in the painting.

"If I may be so bold, can I take a look at the painting?" Marium asked with a soft smile given that the painting meant a lot to her. Blinking Myra gave her an odd look.

"Do you have to ask? Of course you can, it is a painting of your daughter and son in law after all" Myra replied while remaining surprised, this made Marium smile and chuckle lightly.

"True but it is your painting" Marium replied with mirth in her voice as she remembered the painting, even though she could not see her daughter she could see the last thing that showed she had lived.

Myra looked at the sky before standing up, brushing away the dirt and petals from her clothes she soon made her way to the art room located on the forth floor. As she walked Myra soon opened the door to the art room and made her way to the adjacent locked room, looking behind her with suspicious eyes she soon turns back to the door and took a key from her pocket before unlocking it.

"I'll let you take over" Myra signed as she felt Marium's nerves grow from she covered painting. Her mind as she walked after taking over went back to how Myra had spent time after school or during her breaks designing and painting the final product. Marium remembered every brush stroke, every scratch on the easel and even the smell of paints to the feel of the calm wind as it blew when Myra had opened the window to allow cool air to enter during the hot days. Each day was something Marium cherished and would always remain grateful for what Myra had done for her.

Feeling the soft texture of the brown blanket she slowly pulled it away to reveal a very happy couple that she knew too well.

"I have no doubt in my mind that Myra and Abbas are truly happy in the hereafter" Marium said with a content smile.

Yugi seeing that the area was empty entered the art room to see the door connected to it was locked, despite having permission he was worried about being in trouble for entering the room without a teacher present. Getting the key from his pocket he rushed over towards the adjacent door and opened it earning himself a click from the lock. Yugi shuddered with mixed emotions as he grabbed the handle and pulled the door to the side, as he heard the door moving he could also feel Yami's nerves grow as he too was curious about what it was Myra had painted.

"Do you know what she painted?" Yami asked as he remained watching.

"I forgot to ask the teacher" Yugi replied with a sheepish smile that left Yami stunned but he ended up smiling at how eager Yugi was quick to forget one small detail- the description of the item. "But I'm sure that I will be able to find it" Yugi added with a cheerful smile.

As the doors to the room fully opened, a thin layer of light streamed into the room from the room behind him, he soon saw that the adjacent room contained various canvases that were either covered or half covered by thick blankets. But what caught his attention was the canvas which was resting on an easel near the back of the room while it remained half covered by a thick brown blanket, however what he could see was part of a white dress peeking from behind the painting. This encouraged him to step into the room and pull the blanket off allowing him to see the full painting, to his surprise it was not what he was expecting.
"What?" Yami gasped in shock from seeing what Yugi was seeing.
"This is-?!" Yugi was left speechless from seeing a tanned black haired female who looked like she was in her early twenties, she was sitting on the side of a golden chair while having a playful smirk on her face while winking with her left eye. She wore a long white cotton dress with gold bracelets that were on her lower and upper arms, also on her right angle shone a thin round golden bracelet that peeked slightly from under the dress while she wore sandals. Her hair was free but allowed some of her hair to rest on the front left part of her shoulder and chest. On her head was a golden circlet that had a white stone in the middle with a small thin chain dangling from the middle of the circlet, attached to the bottom of the chain was the Egyptian Eye that rested just above between her brows, the sides of the circlet contained feather like patterns and shapes as it rested snuggly on her head. Around her neck was a golden necklace that contained a pattern that had Yugi thinking about Myra's necklace to his confusion. Yugi also noticed that there was the male standing right beside her who had white hair, brownish purple eyes and was also tanned skinned like the girl. Under the male's eye was a small but very thin horrizontal scar located a few centimetres from below the eye. His face contained a gentle smile and warm eyes that left Yugi wanting to smile without knowing why, Yami as be looked almost glared before realising what he was doing and shook off the uneasy feeling as it was only a painting.
The male wore a white vest like shirt and black trousers that were wide on the bottom, his shoes were almost ballet flat like but looked very old.
Taking note of the pair Yugi was left baffled on why they looked like Myra and Bakura, however what left Yugi second guessing was the girl's eyes. Eyes that were amethyst and contained the same hue as Yami's to Yugi's confusion. The expression on the girl's as he noticed was playful but serene, almost as if she was content and yet very happy in the painting. Examining the painting in more depth he noticed the pair were holding hands as they remained close as possible while she say almost hunched over as she faced straight ahead. He also noticed that there were some faint coloured feathers and petals flurried in certain parts of the painting, but what took his attention when he noticed a particular spot was the Egyptian Eye located on the side part of the belt belonging to the male.
"They're Egyptian?" Yugi was left in awe at how detailed the painting was to the expressions and how it was presented. Almost as if he was looking through a window and they were staring into his soul.
"This is really good" Yugi stared in a transfixed manner but could not turn his head away even if he tried to his confusion.
"Do you think she painted this?" Yami asked while remaining transfixed at the painting. Why did the girl strike a cord with him? It now started to leave a nagging feeling within but he could not understand why.

"My... I leave the room for ten minutes and you arrive" said a familiar voice that had the pair looking at an amused Marium standing with her hair in a braid while resting on the right side of her shoulder.

"A-Ah! Miss Marium!" Yugi yelped in surprise as she folded her arms and giggled at his reaction.

"Easy Yugi, I won't bite" she commented causing his face to go slightly red. "So did you drop a letter in Téa's locker?" this snapped him out of his embarrassment.

"N-No I didn't" Yugi replied meekly as he looked down shyly causing her to shake her head.

"You remind me of a boy who was too shy, very sweet but in the end had to be verbally kicked to do something when we were younger" she mused with a smile while his face went redder from the comment only to pause as she patted his head lightly before ruffling his hair slightly.

"We only get one chance Yugi, have confidence okay? What could go wrong? And besides if it does fine but at least there will be no uneasy feelings in the air" she added with a motherly smile that caused him to stare at her in awe. "Why not give her a white ribbon?" she asked with a twinkle in her eyes, pausing to order to understand what she meant Yugi froze while his eyes went wide in shock.

"Remember if you tie a white ribbon to a girl you like-"

"Then the love lasts forever" Yugi concluded but remained uncertain. She chuckled.

"Oh how I wish I was born in this time period, it seems like a silly tradition but it's a sweet one" she winked before removing her hand off of his head.

"So... what do you think of this painting?" Marium asked lightly as she went towards the painting with a soft but kind smile. Yugi's mind remained thinking about what she had said before looking at her.

"Did you have someone you like?" Yugi blurted without thinking.

"Yugi?!" Yami cried in alarm the moment Yugi asked the question but Yugi remained looking at Marium who had a far off look on her face.

"I wouldn't know what to tell you Yugi" this left both males baffled at her statement, however Yugi quickly noted the sad smile on her face that looked slightly cracked leaving him to wonder what happened. "Love for someone like me is a pipe dream, yes I had experience with it but to me it was too short and was filled with so many problems. I could never fit in such a world filled with snobs" she added now smirking slightly as she gave Yugi an amused look, hearing the last bit Yugi snorted without warning. Yami meanwhile blinked in surprise as he listened intently.

"What was he like?" Yugi asked as he stood next to her, blinking with a surprised look on her own she released a cheeky smirk.

"If I can be honest he was an ass if you don't mind my language" Marium replied with an even wider smirk while his eyes went wide from the comment.

"I-I see" Yugi stammered as she giggled with a fond smile on her face.

"A very clueless one unfortunately" she added with a heavy sigh as she placed a hand to her face.

"But you did love him?" Yugi asked in alarm.

"I question the term love with him" she muttered before chuckling as she saw both males' jaws drop in shock "just joking of course I did" she said lightly before sighing again.

"So... what happened?" Yugi asked with a curious look only to blink as her smile dropped leaving him confused.

"I died" Marium replied softly taking the pair by surprise.

"How? I-If you don't mind me asking" Yugi asked meekly, he didn't know why but he wanted to know which was strange since he would never do stuff like this. Pausing she patted his head.

"I would rather not say little one, it's not one for a child to hear" she added before looking at the painting one last time and began covering it with the blanket.

"Do you know who they are?" Yugi asked quickly catching her attention.

"Hmm? Yugi, it's only a painting" she chuckles softly causing him to almost pout. "Just an idea that formed" she added before nodding at him politely, just after that she started walking towards the door. Startled Yami by the fact she was leaving took over Yugi's without thinking and grabbed her left wrist causing her to pause and look at him.

"Oh? Hello Yami, Pleasant day is it not?" Marium greeted politely.

"Yami why did you do that?" Yugi asked now sounding completely shocked by the sudden switch, pausing Yami continued to stare at her.

"Yugi, I... I want to speak to her in private" Yami spoke to Yugi mentally while Marium watched the pair.

"Is something wrong?" Yugi asked sounding concerned.

"I just need to speak to her" Yami explained while keeping his hand on Marium who continued to observe the pair, Yam soon felt Yugi's unease since it would mean being in the dark about what it was that Yami was about to talk to her about. Then again it wasn't the first time that Yugi would be unaware of what Yami had been doing, not that Yami would tell.

"All… alright but if anything happens, you will tell me right?" Yugi asks causing Yami to chuckle softly.

"Of course Yugi" Yami commented before diverting his attention to Marium who tilted her head softly causing some hair to move slightly which made the strands hover on her chest.

"What is it?" Marium asked softly but didn't dare think of what it was that he wanted to ask, she knew that he still didn't remember anything.

"Back at Duelist Kingdom" Yami looked to see no change of expression on her face "what did you say to Pegasus?" he asked now trying to force himself to not falter.

"Oh?" Marium blinked in surprise "well he was thanking me for saving him from the bad spirit of the ring, I guess you gave him a wake up call when you defeated him" she brushed if off lightly but he didn't back down.

"That's it?" she nodded.

"Of course, the dark spirit wanted the eye and I scared him off just after he tried to challenge Pegasus to a Shadow Duel" Marium asked before frowning slightly "why? Did you think I was up to something?" she asked with an edge in her voice, realising his mistake Yami shook his head.

"No Miss-?"

"Ma-Rina, my name is Rina" Marium said before biting the inside of her cheek at how she had to lie, what was the point of telling him her true name when he wouldn't know her? It wouldn't make a difference even if she said it. Blinking Yami almost felt his eyebrows furrow as he heard her pause and say something else.

"Rina? That's your name?" Yami asked while his voice was laced with suspicion, something Marium at times wished he would chose the right times to be perceptive.

"Hmm hm, that's right" Marium nodded before pausing as his hold on her wrist slightly tightened.

"I'm sorry but I don't believe you" Yami said in a stern tone that left her startled.

"What…?" Marium spoke in a semi breathless tone, why-how did he not believe her? Fair enough she stumbled on the name but there was no way that he would know her name.

"Your expression changed for a second" Yami explained while staring at her before her eyes narrowed slightly.

"I don't see how this makes a difference, whether Rina is my true name or not why should it make a difference" Marium spoke bluntly as she tried to pull back but he resisted leaving her slightly vexed.

"It matters to me!" Yami snapped causing her to freeze, "before this whole problem with Pegasus happened. Back at the warehouse- you kissed me remember? So why are you acting like this?" he added with a higher tone in his voice, Marium's eyes went wide at how he spoke to her in a harsh manner. Something he hardly did that before and it left her unsettled, realising that he had scared her he swallowed and looked down.

"S-Sorry, I just… why did you do it?" Yami asked as he bit his lip due to the conflicting emotions filling within him, just remembering that day he went to the museum… yes it had been fun but-

It felt almost hollow, like he was missing something and it agitated him deeply. Not that he would tell Téa or Yugi that, keeping a blank face Marium used her powers to release his hold over her wrist this left him startled and yet he kept his eyes on her.

"Do what exactly?" she asked tonelessly as she looked away slightly but Yami wasn't backing down.

"Kiss me, why did you kiss me back then?" Yami asked feeling stressed and agitated by how he was feeling to her behaviour.

"You're still gnawing on the past? Did I need a reason?" she shrugged with the same expressionless look "I didn't want anything really, it was just a game. Don't take things too literally" Marium added bluntly only to pause as he took a step closer causing her back to slightly touch the wall behind her leaving her startled for a bit.

"A game? You think that it's okay to just kiss whoever you want and not think about the consequences?" he barked crossly.

"And you think it's okay for me to watch you go with other girls? Unbelievable… I am willing to turn my head to the fact that you spent time with that girl numerous times and you won't let me just joke about? You were never like this but things change so I have to adapt to the fact you'll never truly be the same. So don't you dare start acting all high and mighty with me! You're no king of mine and last time I checked your kingdom crumbled" Marium bit mentally while trying not to look furious at him.

"It's just a kiss, it means nothing I'm sure with you so why are you acting like this?" Marium asked causing Yami to pause, why was he acting like this anyways? She's right it was just a kiss… no it was more than one time she had done this so it had to mean something. So why was she acting like this?

"Because you kissed me more than once" he added causing her to almost roll her eyes.

"Again I was playing, heard of flirting?" she asked bluntly thankful for picking up words here and there thanks to the descendants who wore the necklace.

"It's not a game!" Yami snapped as he placed is arm over her head but kept it on the wall so he was leaning over her, Marium almost went frozen by how was acting.

"Then I'll stop if you continue to take this literally" she said before trying to duck under his arm in order to escape but was unable to. "Can I go now? You've made your point" Marium asked darkly as she tried to go, seeing this he placed his hand on the back of her neck and-

Marium froze as she felt his lips push themselves on hers causing her to move back a step until her back was now firmly against the wall. At first she resisted until she felt him now easing the forcefulness of the kiss leaving her baffled by his sudden move. Why was he kissing her? He was complaining before so why do it to her? Was he trying to get even somehow? Just the thought of it angered her but was unable to stop her knees from almost shaking from how the kiss was affecting her. She didn't want him to kiss her like this, being forceful and acting out but what could she do? She 'flirted' slightly but that was all she could do. She couldn't outright tell him she was his wife, no that would sprout too many questions and unwanted problems. If he did somehow remember wouldn't he hate her for leaving him so unexpectedly? Even though his temper had caused Marium to leave the main chamber room allowing the assassin to catch the upset female at her most vulnerable time. Yes she had been hurt and angry but she could never hate him, it wasn't right nor fair. Stress had got to him and seeing his cousin possessed it would hurt anyone deeply.

Feeling her body sink Yami kept her up with one arm and pulled back slightly.

"Please tell me your name" he almost pleaded as he looked at her with half lidded eyes, Marium as she tried to regain sense on what had happened had almost laughed at why he did that. Seriously?

"Not telling you" she commented as she tried to regain her breathing "so nice try" she added before looking away with a frown, staring at her Yami moved her face so she was looking at him even though her eyes weren't.

"Please look at me" Yami said as he traced her jawline with his thumb, something she wished he would stop.

"Why is it so important? Anyways? It's just a name" Marium hissed darkly but felt her resolve faltering from how he was being towards her.

"It's a part of you, even though I cannot remember my name doesn't mean I shouldn't know yours" Yami replied as he felt his eyes grow heavy as his emotions continued to remain conflicted. Who was she to him? Why did she kiss him numerous times before? It made no sense.

"I had expected you to arrive with someone else Yami, perhaps fate has it's own way of changing. That or she does not want to be found" Ishizu's words rang in his ears as he looked at Marium who kept looking away.

"It's my name to know now are you done?" Marium asked wearily causing Yami's heart to twist at the fact she was pulling away from him compared to before.

"Please, I just want to know" Yami spoke while looking at her, why was it so hard? He just wanted to know and yet he knew he had upset her deeply.

"As I said Yami, it's my business so now we need to let the children head into class. So we need to go" Marium said sharply feeling her own heart weep, she couldn't continue to keep herself in his life. It was painful as it was, knowing he was close and yet knew nothing of her. She had came back for him, to help him against the darkness but was only greeted with a former shadow of himself.

"A-" Yami looked down as he berated himself for forgetting the time, however just being near her it made him stop caring about the fact they had to be in class but how did she do this? Why did she have this kind effect on him? His eyes soon went to the tie around his neck leaving his mind to go blank.

"I heard this rumour that if a boy ties a white ribbon around you, they said that you're love will last forever! Pretty cute right?" Miho's giggling entered Yami's ears as he remained staring at the tie on his shirt not seeing Marium duck under his arms and brush any dirt off her, now standing straight she walked towards the door.

"Ugh! What is it now?" Marium snapped as she rounded to glare at Yami due to the fact he had grabbed her wrist once more. Pausing she saw him staring at her with unreadable eyes which left her unsettled. What was wrong with him now?

Marium almost gasped as he kissed her and nearly buckled from the sudden shock of his move, her eyes were squeezed shut as he pulled her closer towards his torso. Why was he doing this now? He didn't like her that way, his actions told her so why was he doing this? And yet feeling hands on her face she could feel he was being gentle and was trying not to go any further with her, something Marium would be grateful for. Her mind slowly went blank as she threw caution to the winds after all, what were the chances of this ever happening again? Placing her hands around his waist she kissed back causing him to tense up for a bit before he guided her back to the wall once more but moved one hand without paying attention.

Marium soon felt something touch her neck but ignored it as his hands went back to holding her close, to her in a way it felt like a cruel joke to be with him once more and yet here they were. Only one was aware of who the other was while the other remained oblivious. Sadly she knew that there was nothing she could do for if she told him the truth, it could damage his already fragmented mind and it was the last thing she wanted.

Yami as he kissed her soon felt a sense of familiarity the moment he touched her once more, had he met her before? There were so many questions to his past and yet being with her it felt like the answers had been staring at him in the face but he could not grasp them. It frustrated him to no end however what could he do? He could only take things one step at a time starting with this unknown female in front of him. One who would always dance around him with her wit and sly mannerisms, it left him frustrated by how she would always elude him at the last minute or would not let him near her. Almost as if she was afraid of him or something which left him baffled for he had idea as to why she would have to do that. Did he do something to her before to make her uneasy around him?

Yami soon moved his head back so they could catch their breaths, both looked at the other with half lidded eyes as they did not look away. Soon Marium looked down to see something hanging on her dress, placing a hand to her neck she felt a something silky around her neck and looked up at him in surprise.

"Yami?" Marium was left stunned while Yami almost smirked at how he saw her reaction.

"A fair trade- my tie for your name" he said in a joking tone that left her scowling at him.

"Really…? You had to go there?" she asked dryly before hearing him laugh, this made her roll her eyes until a soft smile formed on her lips. "I'll give you an alias which is Rina, that's all you're getting out of me" she said in a semi stern tone before moving her head up so she could peck his nose, hearing him groan weakly she giggled causing him to look at her. Just hearing her giggle caused a smile to form on his lips and knew that was enough for now.

"Well Rina, for now until I find out my true name and past is Yami" Yami greeted causing her to roll her eyes and laugh at his antics causing a wolfish smile to form on his face.

"Okay Yami" Marium smiled as she placed her arms around his neck. "But seriously, this tying your tie around my neck is a joke right? You know that you have to explain this to Yugi right?" she asked with a raised brow, however that was the last thing on his mind.

"For now let's just not think about it" Yami said before moving his head down to kiss her once more, this time Marium accepted the kiss and smiled at how sweet he was being towards her. It felt nice, maybe this could work… something she did hope would-

"Yugi?" A shocked voice startled them enough to break apart, Yami now saw Téa standing at the door with a stunned look on her face before she took off running the moment the pair looked at her. Now realising that Yugi had wanted to talk with Téa and how bad this looked Yami immediately ran after her.

"Téa wait!" Yami called in horror as he ran not taking a minute to acknowledge Marium who was left staring with slumped shoulders, her eyes were filled with sorrow, dread and heartbreak as she watched him leave the room. Slumping down on the floor she pulled her knees to her chest the spirit started to feel tears form in her eyes, but she cared not if she was crying. No she knew where she stood, it was going to be Téa… it always was going to be her while Marium was left in the dark once more. Placing her clenched left first to her mouth Marium released muffled sobs until she closed the door to the rooms, once the doors were closed the distraught female pulled the tie off of her neck and threw it away to one side harshly before placing her hands to her face. She was done, she was tired of this. No more! She didn't want any part of this farce. If he wanted Téa then fine she was done waiting for him. Amnesia or not it hurt her too much to even near him. Flirting at first she hoped would hint to him that she liked him, that it would be somewhat of a fresh start where he could love her once more but it was not going to happen. It was no secret she knew that Téa liked him but she had been patient and understanding. Only now as she rested her back against the wall which allowed her hair to cover some of her wet cheeks, Marium hunched over slightly as she pulled her knees to her chest once more and began to weep at the love she had lost.

OUCH! That's not going to end well O.O
