Chapter 10- A troubled sould needs company
The first thing Myra did when she entered the kitchen wearing a long knee high blue nighty while scratching her head and yawn was pause. Her yawn was cut short as she stared at who was sitting at the seat hunched over- Yami.
Staring at him oddly she slowly walked towards the fridge while her blue slippers tapped the floor lightly, once she opened the fridge she spotted the carton of orange juice and took it before closing the door. Spying the draining board she saw no cups or glasses causing her to frown and look at him again, now putting the carton on the table lightly she looked at his appearance which was raggedy and his eyes were swollen which meant that he hadn't had much sleep to her confusion. Slowly as to not scare him she tapped his shoulder before moving it a bit more forcefully in order to catch his attention.
"Sorry?" Yami turned to look at her once she kicked his leg when he didn't respond. "Oh Myra, forgive me I didn't notice you were here" Yami commented softly causing her to frown and fold her arms.
"I can see that, I tapped and shoved your shoulders but you didn't respond" she signed with a blank look "penny for your thoughts?" she asked causing him to blink.
"It's an expression, I am asking if something bothering you?" she responded while tilting her head causing some hair to rest on her shoulders. Images of a bloody body from his dreams entered Yami's mind causing his breathing to hitch for a second, his hand that was on the table clenched itself tightly as he looked down leaving her baffled as to why he was uneasy to begin with.
"I... just didn't get any sleep last night. My apologies for being slow" Yami replied with a weak smile that faded quickly to her confusion.
"I see... do you know what caused it? A nightmare maybe?" Myra asked while observing him a bit more, chewing on the inside of his cheek he sighed wearily.
"Something like that" Yami replied faintly leaving her surprised.
"What happened?" she soon sat down now forgetting to ask for a glass, Myra soon notice him tense up and look away leaving her suspicious of his behaviour.
"I-It's just a silly nightmare" he tried to wave it off but she wasn't convinced as she stared at him blankly.
"Try me" she challenged him with a look that made his mouth twitch, it was like seeing a younger version of Rina to his dismay.
"I have to go, people are most likely getting ready to duel soon so if I am going to find Marik I would need to leave now" Yami said hastily causing her to follow him with worried eyes.
"Stop shutting me out!" came a distressed cry that froze him, it sounded like a child who was about to cry as they screamed. "Why do you keep doing this?! Is it because of mum? Because I look like her?! Because if so... I don't want to look like her... if it's the reason why you ignore us" the child said in a bitter tone that made his heart clench. Ignoring Myra he rushed to his room and locked it, ignoring Myra's constant banging not caring if it was hurting her hands. Nor did he hear or notice Yugi was now trying to get his attention, no he slipped down against the door with a traumatised look on his face.
"Wha... what's happening to me?!" Yami blocked everything out including the new voices that were as a result from Myra's constant banging. Spotting his duel disk he swallowing thickly before changing his attire and quickly opened the window. Making sure he had everything he climbed out and landed on the floor using his hands and knees. Then he took off without looking back.
Yami groaned weakly as he placed a hand to hid face and rubbed his cheek wearily. He had hoped that either walking or dueling would clear his mind but nothing was working, so far Marik's henchmen were nowhere to be found which was both a good and bad thing meaning he could recollect with his thoughts while pushing away the visions he was either seeing or hearing.
"Is it because of mum? Because I look like her?! Because if so... I don't want to look like her... if it's the reason why you ignore us..." Yami bit his lip while walking briskly past the fountain as he tried to shut out the noises. "THEN I HATE HER! SIS IS DEAD AND YOU DO NOTHING BUT PRETEND LIKE EVERYHING IS FINE! LIKE WE DON'T EXIST!" The voice wobbled and cried causing him to freeze, slowly he turned around with horrified eyes that were laced with tears caused by hearing the broken cries that continued to hit his ears but instead of seeing anyone... no one was there. But that didn't leave him at ease, no just hearing the scorn, bitterness and resentment plagued his soul enough to leave him feeling like he was being suffocated from the painful emotions. He could faintly feel that Yugi was trying to reach him but he continued to block the younger boy, just a bit longer... he wanted to be alone. Seeing a bench he allowed himself to collapse on it and place his head in his hands. Why was this happening? Why now? Was they his memories? Was that why it felt so real?
"Yami please don't shut me out!" Yugi's voice now entered Yami's ears stunning the male. What was he doing?
"Forgive me Yugi... I... I am lost" Yami admitted to his shame.
"Unbelieveable! The nerve of you running out the house! What if you were hurt or worse?!" Lily screamed at Yami who winced at how angry the mother was, she was right though. Marik or someone worse could have attacked him in his vulnerable state and this time he might not have been able to recover.
"If it weren't for Myra being at your door then we would be left wondering what was going on, I am absolutely furious with you! Whether you are pharaoh or some kind of important figure it means nothing to me. This is the twentieth century! Life here is more dangerous compared to years ago and in case you've forgotten- you are sharing my son's body! Think about who you are affecting by pulling this stupid stunt!" Lily shrieked almost close to slapping the life out of Yami who was definitely sure he had learned his lesson which was: DON'T tick off the mother! For they were more scary than any evil entity in this world when it came to their babies being put in danger.
Myra and Solomon stared at Yami with mixed emotions, while Solomon looked worried for the spirit and Yugi while Myra remained furious and upset for making her worry like that. For sure he had either made some of her hair go white or had shaven years of her life for adding such worry and stress.
"Forgive me madam..." Yami bowed, his voice laced with shame and guilt.
"Mother" Lily said sharply surprising him, blinking he looked up at her with baffled eyes "under my roof, as long as you share my son's body I am your mother. Is that clear?" swallowing thickly Yami was left completely stunned, after all he didn't really know what it meant to have a mother. Not that he remembered to even have one so hearing this unexpected comment left him speechless.
"M-mother... forgive me for making you worry" he bowed once more while his fringe shielded his eyes, seeing this causes her to roll her eyes.
"For now I will accept the apology but I want to know what possessed you in pulling that stupid stunt" she huffed crossly while folding her arms. Wincing he stood straight and avoided looking at Myra to Lily's confusion.
"Can I speak to you privately... mother?" this left Myra staring at him with a stunned expression. Had she done something wrong?
Nodding Lily guided Yami towards the room she uses for training before taking a brief look at an upset Myra.
"I'm sure it's nothing that you've done" Solomon said softly but the pair as they left heard his words leaving Yami more guilty for being a coward towards the sad girl.
"Now... tell me what's wrong" Lily said sharply as they sat down in the center of the room, Lily crossed her ankles as she leaned on her hand while her elbow rested on the arm of the chair. Yami remained quiet for a bit due to nerves and from trying to recollect his thoughts as he chose to sit on the floor. Soon the images of the dead body and the voice belonging to the upset child attacked his mind and ears causing pain to fill his eyes. Something this left Lily raising a brow at when she saw the state of his mind.
"I... I don't know where to start" Yami admitted with a hesitant look as he kept his eyes down.
"Let's start with the dead body you've been seeing" Lily commented in a neutral tone, Yami immediately flinched from her words. How did she know?
"Myra's not the only one who can read minds, like her I chose to block them from my mind until I need to use it. So talk to me, what is ailing you?" Lily asked softly while changing the positions of her crossed ankles. Now weary and fearful he kept his eyes down.
"I've been seeing visions of a dead woman" Lily nodded signalling that she was listening. "I... I don't recognise her because her face is shrouded, or at least until last night" Yami admitted which left her curious. "Marium entered my mind before I went to sleep, she told me someone has been tampering with my soul room and tried went inside one of the doors to deal with the problem" Lily's eyebrows went up in surprise.
"Did she tell you why?" Lily asked only to see him shake his head slowly.
"All I know is that someone had tampered and she said that it shouldn't happen again... but it did" he gripped the seems of his faded blue trousers tightly, not caring if it damaged the bottom "only it was more vivid and I could see myself crying with the woman in my arms" Yami said bitterly. Lily looked at him with an emotionless look as she looked at him from the corner of her left eye, Yugi as he listened grew worried at how the spirit's mind was in turmoil from how badly someone was messing with his memories. Whoever it was Yugi could only hope that they would stop but who? Who would want to hurt Yami?
"Do you know who the woman is?" Lily asked with a guarded tone that had him looking at her wearily, not trusting himself to speak he nodded.
"I do…" Yami replied in a low soft tone "I… I just don't understand why, why am I seeing Rina- that is if that's her true name" watched his face contort but knew that he was thinking about Marium, knowing that she was using a fake name to hide herself however it was damaging Yami for he could see her and yet not knowing who she truly was. Why he was drawn to her to begin with and as a result even Lily who was nothing more than a spectator knew that it was hurting them both deeply.
"If it isn't then she must have a reason, wouldn't she?" Lily commented as she moved her legs again. "Yami, in my opinion it is very easy to think that she's doing this to be cruel but the mind is a fragile part of your body. If it gets unsettled it could cause irreversible damage" Lily explained as she watched him slowly look at her with a raised brow, his lips quirked as he looked at her properly.
"She told me" Yami commented, Lily's eyes flashed a bit alerting him to sit straight.
"And with good reason that she knows. In fact I have a nephew who's a doctor according a family relation who I had just gotten into contact, one of the things he knows is neuro due to how he's a general surgeon and that like the heart is a very delicate part of your body which should be kept not only safe but healthy" Lily added sharply before scowling "sadly someone hasn't gotten the memo and is using some of your memories to hurt you, it's almost as if they know which door to interact with and which one contains a bad memory" this left Yami and Yugi pausing.
"You don't think someone from Yami's past is doing this?" Yugi cried in alarm, Lily hearing this remained still before nodding.
"It could be, but it must be someone who has a grudge against you…" Shaking her head Lily relaxed as a thought came to mind. "And no it's not Rina, she's one who I am sure will be a really dangerous problem for the one who holds the grudge against you. Keep her close and it will most likely scare the person away" Lily advised.
"So I have to rely on Rina? Isn't there away for me to deal with this without her?" Yami asked as he gritted his teeth. Blinking Lily looked away.
"She would sure be offended if she ever heard that… yesh… men" she sighed.
"The only thing I could suggest is to train in order to strengthen your mind, to create a barrier of your own to block the one causing it. However finding out who it is could be a start" Lily suggested as she placed both hands on the arms of her chair. Staring at her Yami pondered on her words before nodding.
"Yes… I could give that a try, could we try now?" Yami asked to the pair's surprise.
"Um… well I did have a training session with Myra but if you want me to train you then that's fine, I can reschedule with her" Lily said softly before getting up in order get an item from her box. Moving towards him she showed him a green stone comma like item that had a hole inside the top middle part of the item, attached to the top of the item was a sturdy black rope.
"It's a magatama, this jade pendent will protect you from evil so if there is an evil spirit they will be forced to avoid you. I've channelled a lot of my spiritual power inside this item which I was hoping to give to Myra for special purposes, but I think that until the one who is harming you remains at large it would be best to keep it with you" Lily said before placing the rope around his neck. Yami felt the cool green stone touch his skin but instead of feeling cold, warmth filled him which he immediately knew was her doing.
"Thank you mother" Yami said still feeling awkward about calling her that, smiling she shook her head.
"Let's get started now okay?" Lily said before getting some candles lit.
"But what about Myra?" Yami asked in surprise, turning she smiled.
"She has left the house, something about seeing a friend" she shrugged but hearing this left Yami uneasy, for he had no idea if she was still upset from his actions.
"I think she understands. She might just be trying to give you space" Yugi offered to the troubled spirit.
However as the week progressed Yami had noticed that Myra was avoiding him altogether, she had not once signed to him let alone looked at him. Yes she had communicated with Yugi when he was in control but not once did she ask about Yami nor did she pay any attention to anything Yugi said about the spirit, that or she had just brushed Yami's existence away from her mind leaving him troubled.
Lily watched this and sighed heavily, shaking her head she just dipped her tea bag into the cup of water and watched how tense it was getting in the room. Even her father was worried about how they were dancing about, almost too scared to tread on dangerous grounds.
"Myra, I'm see you about your training in five minutes" Lily said now trying to get things back to normal.
"Sorry Lily, I've to meet my friend today so I can't train" Myra signed to a shocked Lily who's mouth dropped. Slipping out of her chair Myra left the room just as Lily was spluttering from what she had just witnessed. Myra was skipping out on training?!
"Oh hell no! Myra! You're training today and that's final-OH ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Lily's screams alerted the pair in the kitchen that something was wrong, soon she was stomping over towards them and took the chair Myra had sat on and slammed herself onto the offending item while folding her arms. She huffed in anger.
"What is it?" Solomon asked in surprise at from seeing her sudden angry mood, Yugi was staring at his mother while holding his fork not knowing what to expect.
"She teleported out of the house that's what father!" Solomon who was drinking spat and choked on his drink while Yugi dropped his fork, his eyes went wide as saucers not believing what he was hearing.
"She can do what?" Yugi cried in shock.
"Not important" she waved her hand in a dismissive manner "she knows it's dangerous now a days and yet she's gone to see this friend, wouldn't even tell me who it is either" she huffed crossly as she sunk slightly into her chair. Solomon seeing this winced, this wasn't good.
"At this rate I should call my brother… maybe borrowing his cane would smack some sense into her" she huffed darkly. Yugi hearing this was left baffled.
"I didn't know I had an uncle" Yugi commented with a surprised look only to hear his mother muttering something that he could not make out. Solomon however grew unsettled.
"I thought that you said that you wanted nothing to do with them?" Solomon commented causing her to look at him with a sad expression.
"Shunning them is the last thing I should do, I guess being with Myra has helped me realise that taking a cowards way out is not the answer. My family's fought tooth and nail to be here today and throwing away their lives is not the answer" she smiled before holding his hand "It's alright father, no matter what this place is my home and it will never change" her smile grew as she saw his eyes mist up from tears.
"You and Daichi have done a lot for me…" she looked down with a sad smile "even though being near me has also caused him some sadness as well" Yugi blinked in surprise.
"Mother?" realising that Yugi was in the room she shook her head and smiled.
"I'm fine Yugi, just reminiscing" she said before her mind went to how one of her older brothers was doing before shaking her head. He was probably bullying his son again.
Myra exhaled mutely as the holographic simulators slowly vanished revealing an empty panelled room with a robot attached to the wall opposite her.
"That was great Myra!" Mokuba cheered as he opened the door to greet her, smiling softly she waved at him "that was an awesome duel, don't you think Seto?" Mokuba asked with glee as the male in question entered the room.
"Average at best" Seto said causing Mokuba to yelp in surprise, Myra meanwhile just stared blankly but was mentally smiling knowing that Seto was also amused by what was going on. "Something tells me you were holding back" he added once he was a few feet away from them.
"Huh?" Mokuba blinked in surprise "what do you mean big brother?" he asked now looking confused.
"I mean is that you had a magic card that wasn't registered but you never played it when it went to your hand" Myra shook her head and smiled briefly.
"Nah ah! Not telling but it was made as a thanks" Myra waved it off while both brothers stared in shock.
"What? Pegasus gave you that card? What is it?" Mokuba asked while she took her deck out, looking through her cards she showed him Magic Multiplier. "That's definitely a card I've never seen before but…" Mokuba examined the effects.
"Isn't that dangerous? You're risking your card and yet it does have an unfair advantage" Mokuba looked at her.
"True, but the risk is worth it… BUT! I'm not telling why I would need to have this card, I promised him that I would not to show it" Myra said with a sheepish smile.
"But why would he give you something that you can't play?" Mokuba asked before the trio left the room, Myra mused for a bit before looking at him.
"He says the prototype of it was stolen, he finished this card but it was incomplete until the moment it was activated. The card now has effects different to the prototype but it has a deep meaning to it" Myra grinned leaving the pair baffled, the brothers looked at the other before looking at her as they stood in the lift.
"Can't you at least tell us? Maybe let us have a peek?" Mokuba pleaded which left her wanting to laugh.
"Remember what happened last time with your brother and blue eyes?" Seto twitched knowing that she had hit below the belt, all this in a way started because of his obsession. Something she carefully introduced to his dismay but it helped him back away… slightly to the point he was not doing ANYTHING to claim any similar cards.
"Oh yeah… okay I see your point, it's a shame though. I would have liked to see it but I really like your fairy deck. Each one now that I think about it reminds me of pieces of a puzzle or better yet siblings" Myra's eyes twinkled as she nodded.
"That's right, sisters stick together and when working together create even more tighter bonds that extend" Myra explained before hearing the bell ring.
"I've heard Yugi's got Slifer the Sky Dragon from one of Marik's goons" Mokuba commented causing Myra to raise a brow.
"That's one card down I guess" Myra commented when they started walking, once at the office the trio sat down and relaxed for a bit… mostly because Myra had threatened to throw Seto's computer out the window if he didn't take at least an hours break.
"Seto still has Obelisk but Marik has Ra" Mokuba added before looking at his brother's blank expression.
"Do you even believe all this nonsense about fate? There's no evil or magic" Seto muttered as he looked away.
"I believe you, there's no magic but there are forces out there that we do not understand" Myra explained "For example the ability to see spirits, having the powers of a psychic and no Seto I am not joking but did you forget to check your car?" Seto bolted out the room causing the pair to blink before laughing.
"Wow you really know how to get my brother rattled up, how do you do it?" Mokuba giggled while he rubbed tears from his eyes, Myra shrugged.
"Dunno, he just listens but I think that despite the walls he puts up. He's not a such a bad guy… just hurt because of people who didn't care about him" Myra commented causing Mokuba to go silent.
"You're right, it has been hard on him but we've pulled through. Big brother's now becoming more nicer and I think he does see you as a friend, even if he is pulling a front" Mokuba added with a weak smile to which she nodded quickly in reply.
"True, hey thanks for trying to learn sign language. It gets annoying having to write all the time" Myra commented causing him to chuckle.
"It's no problem really, I can understand you're always frustrated by how some people just don't want to listen" Mokuba said before pausing as Seto stormed into his room in a furious tone that made his coat ends ruffle from how quickly he entered.
"That fool's fired AND he's buying me a new car" Seto hissed before shooting a surprised Myra a look. "I don't know how you knew but at least I was able to catch him in the act" Myra nodded a bit knowing he was trying to say thank you.
"You can just say thank you, I'm not judging" she signed causing him to twitch.
"Whatever" he said bluntly which had the younger children grinning. "So how many years did you skip?" Myra gave him a look.
"Three years of school snooper! Don't think I didn't know you were trying to access my files" Myra signed with a vexed look. Mokuba blinked.
"Wait what? What are you talking about Seto?" Mokuba asked looking confused, Seto looked at her while she rolled her eyes.
"He's saying that I skipped three years of school because I was too smart for them" Myra said with a mute sigh. "Yeesh tell everyone why don't you?" she asked with a bland look.
"What I still don't understand is why you still chose to be in school, surely you could be doing other things" Myra shrugged as she looked at the window to see a white bird fly by, a mused smile formed on her face.
"I just wanted to be normal, as normal as I could get… after all we're young for a certain amount of time. I wanted to cherish it and ditch being smart all the time, besides I'm smart because I worked hard when I was traveling from place to place thanks to my caretaker" Myra explained surprising the duo.
"That does sound nice, I can understand you there" Mokuba commented as he shuffled slightly in his seat but kept smiling. "So what if you're smart or rich or poor, we can still try to live as normal as we like… even if-" Myra nodded in understanding.
"I have an uncle who owns a company, I understand my cousins who live with him and their mother. It's not easy but at least you get to spend time with each other" Myra smiled causing the pair to relax. "So! What shall we talk about now?" Myra clapped her hands and grinned before the trio began a new conversation.
Myra stretched as she entered the shop, with a small smile on her face. So far everything was okay and no issues had taken place… yet.
She spotted Solomon and nodded before going upstairs only to wince as she collided onto something on the top step.
"Forgive me" came a panicked voice that grabbed her arm and placed their arm around her waist so she could move forward instead of backwards. Looking up she saw Yami looking worried, instead of responding she remained calm and moved back a step before ducking under his arms so she could go past.
"Myra please" Yami called but she ignored him. "I apologise, really I didn't mean to make you upset. My problem it's not with you or Rina" Yami said as he watched her walk way, clenching his hands he stared at her weakly as she didn't respond. Once in her room she closed the door and examined her shoe box, Myra bit her lip as she looked at the door before taking her right shoe out and began feeling the soft part of it until her fingers caught the end of the fabric which she then pulled back slightly until she saw an empty compartment. Grabbing her deck she took half of it and hid it carefully inside the right shoe before closing it and repeated the same process with the left shoe. Now satisfied that they were safe she placed them back in the shoe box and hid them.
"There, now if anyone tries to search me they won't find anything" Myra wrote on her leg before seeing the door open revealing Yami to her dismay. Silence filled the pair until he sighed heavily.
"I know it's rude to enter without knocking but I really want to talk with you" Yami pleaded before seeing her turn her head while folding her arms in a defiant manner. "I know, I acted like I didn't trust you but it…" he looked down weakly. "I had a nightmare and it left me too shaken to say anything" he admitted. Eyeing him she narrowed her eyes.
"How is that an excuse to behave like that? Do you know how worried I was? Did you think about how it would affect anyone around you?" she asked with a cross look.
"Stop shutting me out!" Yami briefly remembered the voice of the upset child who sounded upset and angry at him, something that even now hurt him deeply.
"I didn't mean to shut you out, I just… things have been happening and I was at a loss of what to do" Yami confessed to not only the voice but to Myra who stared at him oddly.
"Again how is that an excuse? You know we will want to help you, you're not alone you know" she added with a frown, blinking from what she signed he bit his lip and looked down weakly.
"It was an error in my judgement, one I hope to never do again" Yami said before walking towards Myra, her eyes went wide as he gave her a hug. "I… heard hugging is something that might help" he said weakly while she eyed him oddly, soon she patted his arm weakly.
"Whatever floats your boat" she signed only seeing this made him laugh to Yugi's relief and got her smiling faintly.
"I mean it, I will try not to do it again. In fact Yugi's mother-my mother wants me to train so I can try and shut away the bad thoughts. She even gave me this" Yami showed her the pendent that left her eyes wide.
"Ah a Magatama! That's good though it should give you some temporary healing" Myra commented with a small smile.
"Myra there's a problem!" Myra blinked as she heard Marium's frantic voice.
"What is it?" Myra asked as she looked away leaving Yami confused.
"It's Joey and Tea, they're about to be taken by Marik in five minutes" Myra's eyes went wide as she looked at the clock.
"But how can we stop them-wait SETO!" Myra slammed her cupped hand to her open hand.
"What about Seto?" Yami asked before seeing Myra's severe look.
"Rina just had a vision that Marik's going to take Téa and Joey, we can ask Seto to track Joey's duel disk but I'm worried that he's going to brainwash them like the others" Yami went pale as a gasp left his lips.
"But how are we going to contact Seto? Would he even want to help?" Yami asked before Myra took out her phone and started texting.
"Mokuba Marik's going to kidnap Téa and Joey, can you give us the coordinates to where Joey's disk is located please?" Myra typed quickly before sending, looking at Yami she bit her lip until she heard a messaging tone.
"Of course I will, hang in there where are you?" Mokuba replied to her relief.
"At the game shop with Yugi, is Seto with you?" Myra responded with a worried look.
"What's happening?" Yami asked before Myra showed him the text, his eyes went wide at how she was in contact with Mokuba. "How long have you two been in touch?" he asked now looking curious if not worried. She grinned.
"I've to keep that a secret for now, I promised them I wouldn't spill anything" she added to his confusion, blinking in surprise he felt a bit uneasy given Seto's past behaviour.
"I'm surprised that Myra's able to speak to Seto, but this could be the break we need in helping us find Joey and Téa" Yugi commented leaving Yami a bit at ease.
"That is true, but I can't help but feel uneasy" Yami explained weakly.
"Yeah I know what you mean, but if this is why Myra's been out a lot then he must not be so bad as we all like to think. There must be something that she sees in him otherwise why is she trusting him?" Yugi replied before hearing her phone.
"Yeah, Seto's getting the satellite to pin point Joey's duel disk as we speak. It shouldn't be too long, we will meet you at the game shop in five minutes" Myra nodded.
"Okay, I'll tell Yugi to get ready" Myra texted back before looking at Yami.
"Okay so right now we have to go outside to meet Seto and Mokuba, they'll take us to Téa and Joey" Myra commented before Lily appeared at the door.
"Myra I need you here now, there's something I need to ask you" Lily said calmly much to Myra's dismay.
"I have to go with Yugi and Yami right now, Téa and Joey are in danger" Myra signed rapidly.
"I understand but it will not take long, you can catch up with them later" Lily said before grabbing Myra's wrist, looking at Yami Myra's eyes were wide but the pair were powerless to stop Lily taking her away.
"What are we going to do now? With Myra staying behind how will we get help from Seto?" Yugi asked weakly.
"I… I don't know, but we have to get moving" Yami said before rushing out the shop after grabbing his coat and shoes. Once outside he spotted a helicopter approaching the shop to his surprise.
"Hey where's Myra?" Mokuba asked as he opened the helicopter door and peeked out while grabbing the railing.
"Y-Mother wanted to speak to her, I don't know how long the talk will take" Yami explained, Mokuba almost felt his jaw clench before blinking away the bad feeling.
"Okay, hop on in we'll take you to your friends" Mokuba said with a determined smile, Seto however folded his arms while remaining quiet. So much for some peace and quiet, now he had to deal with Yugi of all people.
"What is this all about?" Myra asked as she sat at the kitchen table only to pause as she saw Solomon and Lily staring at her with neutral looks.
"I just got a call from you cousin Rioto, apparently your test results came back" Lily said almost resisting the urge to get hysterical leaving Myra confused, in truth Myra never did care about it even after her guardian took her away before she could hear about them after being admitted to the hospital after a fainting spell. To her relief however she hadn't had another fainting spell for a while but she still kept on guard.
"Okay… but I don't think I really-"
"Why didn't you tell me?" Lily asked sharply while Solomon looked away with a grim look on his face, blinking Myra looked at them with a raised brow.
"What are you talking about?" Myra asked silencing Lily who shook from her phone call.
"Your tests reveal you have the gene, that your life expectancy is to last until the age of twenty four" Lily said bitterly, Myra froze as she stared at them in shock but at the same time stopped herself from showing anymore emotions. Marium who heard this felt sick and yet somehow she knew that Myra was one of the casualties of the curse, however that didn't stop her from trying to deny or push it away from her mind. "Did you not know this?" Lily asked while trying to stop her voice from shaking despite the fact Solomon was trying to calm her down.
"So… So that's why my guardian took me away, to hide the truth from me" Myra bit her lip as she looked down, tears welled up in her eyes as she felt like crying until there was nothing left.
"Lily… I don't think she knew until now" Solomon said now feeling guilty and sad for what was in store for Myra, Lily however now registering this went pale and placed a hand to her mouth in order to mask her horror. Guilt and shame filled her as Myra stood up while her hair shielded her eyes.
"Myra" the girl ignored Lily as she left the table "no Myra I'm sorry I thought that you knew which was why you were avoiding-"
Slam!
Lily no longer able to hold it in started to weep and cover her mouth from realising her own actions. What had she done?
"You didn't know, neither did she Lily" Solomon assured her while his mind went to Yugi and how this would affect him, looking at him angrily she moved him away from her.
"How is that an excuse father? Now… oh gosh and Yugi doesn't know either" Lily dug her nails into her scalp now feeling frustrated and distraught for the fact she had now revealed that Myra was not going to live for much longer.
"I think it would be best to keep it a secret for a while longer, the last thing we need is to create more stress when things are already happening" Solomon said to which she nodded shakily.
"Y-Yes, I know…" Lily felt her heart weep at knowing the news would damage Yugi deeply.
"I… I will need to get a swab test for Yugi, or least a blood sample at best" Lily admitted as she looked down at her hands which now clenched themselves tightly, Solomon hearing this froze.
"You don't think?" Solomon shook his head "no… that wouldn't be-"
"Twenty four for girls, twenty six for boys…" She said with a sick look "it's rare to live past the age and so far only two percent of us actually push past the age mark, I only escaped because mother helped me… but I didn't think of the consequences which was my folly" Lily said bitterly leaving Solomon conflicted.
"No, there's no need for a test. Yugi is fine, he just diabetic and that's it. There's no need to think about adding more things when they are most likely not there to begin with" Solomon said shakily as he tried to avoid thinking about the possibility, no they were already upset over Myra's condition there was no need to assume something that might not even be there.
Myra ran through the streets after being given the coordinates thanks to Kaiba Corp. To her dismay Mokuba had been captured while Yami and Seto were forced into dueling more of Marik's henchmen which meant that she had to try and locate the captured pair. Turning a corner she felt something nearby and frowned.
"Shadow magic, most likely from Marik using an item… the stench is worse now compared to before" Marium said with distain as Myra looked around until she felt Joey's aura coming from a nearby the pier, his aura was faint but she could pick him up to her relief.
"I don't want to duel Marium, what if I hurt someone?" Myra asked weakly knowing that despite the fact Seto had been testing the system it still remained unable to stop real damage to her dismay.
"We have no choice, if Marik does use them then we can't let Yugi or Yami get to them. He'll use them as a means of getting Slifer and the puzzle, something even I'm sure is the last thing they would want to do" Myra nodded before slowing down so she could scout the area. Looking round she narrowed her eyes.
"I don't see anyone yet" Myra said before heading to a part that contained a square sized platform while the ocean lapped against the beams.
"Well well… I never thought you would show your face, then again if it means involving the life of your friends then it would be expected you would come alone" said a voice that left the hairs on Myra's neck stand on ends, turning to her left she saw Joey only his eyes were vacant while a smirk bloomed on his face which left her unsettled but angry.
"Marik let them go!" she signed crossly.
"Sorry, can't understand you… might want to SPEAK up!" Marik jeered before realising a cruel laugh that caused her eyes to wide before glaring hatefully at him.
"Oh that no good sonova-!" Myra seethed in anger as her body tensed up from the insult.
"Don't, he's trying to provoke you" Marium warned while fury filled her soul.
"But what can I do?" Myra signed now feeling helpless about the whole situation.
"You have to duel him, you need to get through to Joey" Myra's eyes went wide at what Marium was suggesting, the one thing she refused to do for various reasons.
"What's wrong? Too scared to talk back?" Marik jeered causing both females to glare.
"OH IT'S ON!" Myra signed furiously while Marium yelled through Myra's lips startling Marik who now forced Joey to take a step back. Something told him that this wasn't going to end well.
"You are going to rue the day you developed that smart mouth of yours Marik Ishtar!" Marium's voice left Myra's lips while Myra glared furiously, the spirit's voice spoke of a promise that he was going to suffer hell for the insult.
"Get your duel disk out! We're dueling right now and if I win you release your hold over the children" Marium snapped as she continued to speak through Myra. "I'll gladly tear you limb from limb" she hissed causing Marik to laugh, however it was a little weaker knowing that he was now somewhat in trouble.
"You do realise that you'll hurt your friend right? Or does he mean so little to you?" Marik jeered, however Marium smirked at him, a chuckle left Myra's lips which left Marik confused.
"Silly boy, Myra's a psychic so that threat means nothing if she chooses to hit your soul through your control. After all you are also putting yourself into his body so whatever happens… you'll take the brunt of it" Marium smirked with a triumphant laugh leaving Myra's lips as the girl placed a hand on her hip, imitating Marium's actions. Marik hearing this now felt his stomach drop as fear slowly trickled in.
"Now tell me… how many minions do you have?" her eyes roamed around to see herself surrounded "how many will it take to make you collapse? Not even the rod can save you and even you know it takes a lot of control, so if your control… slips from being hurt. How quickly would chaos commence from such a simple slip of control?" Myra asked as her smirk grew dangerously. "Let's not forget I too have that power, something that makes me a dangerous foe indeed no?" she said with a calm smile.
"I-You're not going to win, I doubt you even duel since you're not even registered" Marik said as he tried to regain his composure, Myra tilted her head side to side while Marium hummed.
"Hmm… point taken but…" her smirk was back "my host has practiced with Seto's robots and believe me… the amount of money it's taken to repair those things, oof what a mess indeed" Myra fanned her face as her body mimicked Marium's actions.
"If you think that will scare me then show me what you can do in a duel!" Marik snapped as he made Joey go to one side of the square platform, Marium and Myra however noticed that Marik was shaken by Marium's words. However they chose to remain calm and collected, after all the fun was only just starting.
"Let's duel I guess" Marium sighed as Myra's deck appeared in the disk, once in position they looked at Joey but kept themselves together. For his sake and Téa's they would win.
"Duel!" Marik and Marium yelled.
"I wouldn't try anything funny, otherwise Miss Gardener will suffer a nasty incident with the container above her" Marik said through Téa's lips as she sat down. Above her was a massive crate that was attached to a crane, raising a brow Marium sighed and shook her head.
"Ugh… bad showmanship, really is getting on my nerves! Where's the honour?" Marium grumbled before allowing Myra to draw a card.
"Your move" Marik said while watching through the eyes of Joey, Myra looked at her hand with furrowed brows. She soon placed a card called Lil Fairy (500/1000) in attack mode, a small blond haired cute fairy with two pigtails floating on either side of her shoulders appeared wearing a light pinkish sleeveless dress made up of petals, she had a pair of petal shaped wings that were see-through pink, her eyes were light blue and pupil less but she smiled and waved at the opponent while floating in front of Myra. Soon a card came from her deck to her hand causing Marik to stare with suspicious eyes. Nodding she placed the card she drew to the field which was called Lil Fairy Water (800/1200). A sleepy blue haired fairy with waist length hair appeared wearing a blue sleeveless petal shaped dress, like the other fairy she had light blue eyes and was barefooted, on her back were a pair of see through blue wings that released a faint light when the sun's rays touched it. Marik watched as he remained confused as to what she was doing, the cards to his amusement were weak but he watched her as she said nothing except draw another card from the deck and played it. This time it was a calm earthy brown haired fairy called Lil Fairy Earth (600/1500) with blue eyes, it's dress and wings was earthy brown and was also bare footed, the fairy's hair was in a pony tail and fluttered as she moved. All three fairies started to sing and dance as they started to glow causing a card from Myra's deck to glow in response, soon Myra played the card now released from the deck Lil Fairy Wind (1000/1300) A light greeny blue fairy with blue eyes, like the other fairies she had a greeny blue petal shaped dress, translucent wings and was bare footed. Waving her hand Lil Fairy Wind moved back to allow a red haired fairy who was similar to the other fairies to appear with a frown on her face after Myra had summoned her. Eyeing Myra Lil Fairy Fire (1200/400) turned her head to look at Joey with an unamused expression.
"What is the point in summoning them? They're too weak?" Marik asked as he stared at the fairies with annoyance, was she that much of an amateur? What a waste of time!
Soon Myra drew a card thanks to Lil Fairy water and raised a brow before activated a card in her spell and trap zone called Polymerization and it to fuse all the fairies summoning a tall fairy with a short sleeved long white petal dress that went up to her knees with a clock like object on her left hip, in her right hand was a long staff which had a crescent shape on top that a white clock like object in the middle, the white clock like object had black pointers inside while it released ticking noises time went on. Her golden yellow hair was in long and in two high ponytails compared to Lil Fairy's low pigtails, one on the front of her chest and at the back, her ears were pointy and her blue eyes contained a playful kind smile. Her back contained petal shaped multicoloured wings while her hairbands that held the pigtails were also multicoloured and changed when she moved. Myra smiled as she saw her new fused creature Ancient Fairy of the Compass (4000/3500) hovering in front of her, taking a deep breath she activated a card thanks to the Lil fairy Earth's effect after being summoned, the card that now showed was a long compass like staff that resembled Ancient Fairy. The title of the card said Staff of the Ancient Fay leaving Marik now a little worried as a new monster that looked like the new fairy appeared only it had monotone hair with same similar hair style as Ancient Fairy, blue eyes, pointy ears, a greyish black short sleeved petal dress and semi grey skin in contrast to the light skin Ancient Fairy had. In her right hand was a black staff similar to Ancient Fairy's but the staff was black but the pointers inside were white. Huffing the new fairy glared at him Dark Fairy of the Compass (3500/4000). However thanks to the glowing staff their points were boasted by a thousand leaving Marik yelling in horror, just seeing this Myra giggled mutely before placing a card face down and gestured for him to make his move.
"H-How did you summon two fusion monsters so quickly?!" Marik yelled before Marium hummed with an amused smile that left him scowling.
"Lil Fairy's effect calls Lily Fairy Water and because she is on the field she can summon Earth who like with Lil fairy's conditions can summon Wind who summons Fire. Then thanks to Water's second effect Myra can draw a card. Then thanks to Earth's effects when it's used as a fusion summon she can draw a card. Now here's where it gets more interesting Marik if you're paying attention" Marium taunted leaving him more angry than ever "Using Ancient Fairy of the Compass' effect as long as she is equipped with Staff of the Fay which is another word for fairy mind you she can summon her counterpart Dark Fairy of the Compass also known as Ancient Dark Witch of the Compass but these two have a really annoying effect for the opponents" Marium said while smirking as she had two cards in her hand.
"Oh really and pray tell are they?" Marik asked as he glared hatefully at her, raising a brow she smirked.
"Ancient Fairy cannot be destroyed or targeted by card effects and as long as Dark Fairy is on the field she is protected as well, however Dark Fairy's effect protects herself and Ancient Fairy from monsters so they can't be destroyed in battle" Mark's mouth dropped slightly as he gawked at the impervious monsters "what is the saying? They're a very bricky pair. Then again as long as Lil Fairy was in my hand to begin with it could happen however, Dark fairy can only be summoned if the staff is equipped which would have happened anyways thanks to Ancient Fairy's effects" Marium said sharply while placing a hand on her hip.
"Now you see I'm not one to be messed with and neither is Myra. So make your move Marik by all means, see if you can break my defence" she said with a sly smirk.
"Who- how did you acquire such cards?" Marik asked now feeling more angry at how he was at a severe disadvantage and it was only turn 2. Marium smirked at how frustrated he was getting.
"Oh… just some energetic man who likes to watch cartoons" Marium waved it off, however hearing the word 'cartoon's left Marik flaring up in anger.
"THAT GUY?!" Marik yelled before Téa's eyes blinked causing her to look around in confusion.
"Wait… where am I?" Téa murmured before hearing a female laughing, her eyes widened as she saw Myra with a look similar to the spirit who took over her body.
"Hey Myra and I have a fairy thumb" she shrugged before sensing Yami and Seto coming towards them.
"Myra you can talk? Wait a minute that voice, are you the spirit within Myra?" Téa asked causing Marium to look and nod briefly before looking at Joey.
"Myra!" Yami yelled causing Marium to stare blankly at Marik who was now smirking, Téa however was now relieved that Yami had arrived but the question was how to get Joey out being controlled.
"In the end he falls in to my trap, just wait I'll defeat-"
"CANNOT be destroyed by monster or card effects!" Marium yelled sharply causing him to go quiet but twitched crossly at how she was undermining him "honestly do you ever clean your ears?" she asked sharply startling Téa as she felt like moving back slightly from how cross the spirit sounded.
"I'm glad she's on our side" Téa said weakly before going quiet.
"I can hear you just fine!" Marik ranted causing her to scoff.
"Doesn't sound like it" she retorted earning her a growl startling Seto, Téa Yami and Yugi.
"Wait a minute! She can talk?" Seto said with shock evident in his voice, Yami however felt his stomach drop as he recognised Marium's voice.
"THAT'S IT! I'M ACTIVATING HINOTAMA!" Marik yelled causing Myra to wince and shield her face as fireballs hit her.
"Myra!" Téa cried "please Joey stop this you're hurting her, you've got to snap out of this"
"Marium please… don't want to get burnt here" Myra looked at Marium weakly.
"Oh don't worry that's all he can do" Myra rolled her eyes before looking at Joey. Clapping her hands Myra looked at him with worried eyes.
"Joey please I don't want to hurt you! Snap out of it!" Myra made gestures that had Marik laughing.
"What are you trying to do? Be a trained seal?" Marik mocked causing Yami to narrow his eyes and clench his fists at what was happening.
"She's trying to get Joey to snap out of it, but how if he's under Marik's influence?" Yugi asked, spying the crate Myra looked at Joey weakly. Clapping rapidly she pointed at the crate a few times before Ancient Fairy released a battle cry and sent her staff up.
"What is this?!" Marik yelled "What is going on?" Purple wind swirled around it before a bright light fired from the clock like object right at the object above Téa's head. Téa screamed before falling to the ground as the rubble slit the sides of the ropes.
"Téa!" Yami ran after Téa in order to get her away from the danger.
"That attack was real! How did that happen?" Yugi shook a bit while Yami kept his composure, there was a time and a place to panic and given the fact that the brainwashed servants were trying to intercept and stop him from getting Téa was not helping. Dark Fairy seeing this raised her staff and caused the broken wood to fly at the servants causing them to dodge allowing Yami to reach Téa.
"Are you alright Téa?" Yami asked as he helped her up.
"I think so, but the damage… how is it real?" Téa asked before they tried to get away. Seto kept watch as he saw Marik summon a face down monster and card in the spell and trap card zone.
"He's finished, Myra's two ace monsters are out… be thankful the final one isn't around" Mokuba said after catching up to Seto. Startled Téa and Yami looked at the scene.
"Woah those monsters have high levels! How did she summon them that quickly?" Téa asked while Yami was watching the duel with dread. Something was going to happen and he wasn't sure if it was good.
"Myra's been testing the deck Pegasus gave her, she's tried so many combinations in order to find the best way to summon her ace monsters. It has taken her a while but what can I say, I'm glad we managed to get her dueling… even if it's for this moment only" Mokuba said with a wide grin as he looked at his brother who was frowning at the scene.
"You think you could just do that and think you could get away with it?!" Marik yelled now furious that she had helped cause one of his hostages to escape.
"I am pretty sure we are both aware that the damage I give is very real so stop whining, at least it's not a Shadow Game" Marium said with a shake of her head "so let's just continue, it's your move still"
"With pleasure, I tribute one of the scapegoats to summon Jinzo in defence mode" Marik yelled as he placed the card on the duel disk. Myra stared at him but didn't made any sign comments, instead her mind went to something that could jog Joey's mind, without wasting time her eyes went back her phone and took it out of her pocket causing the viewers to blink.
"What is she doing?" Mokuba asked while Seto kept his eyes narrowed, even he was confused by her sudden move. As she sifted through the phone she paused from an image that she was fond of, the one involving Christmas when Joey decided to dress up as Santa which had somehow almost gave Solomon who also dressed up as Santa a heart attack. The picture showed a semi blank faced Myra sitting with Yugi who was grinning in the image, behind them was Téa, Tristan, Bakura, Soloman and Lily who had been reluctant to be in the photo. Staring at it with guarded eyes Myra almost smiled until she saw the faint images of Marium sitting on her knees behind Myra and Yugi, only right beside her was Yami who had a smirk on his face despite the fact he knew that he wasn't going to be seen. However now as Myra looked at it carefully she could see them as clear as day.
"Why are you stalling? It's your move girl!" Marik snapped "Don't tell me you want to call home because you're now having second thoughts-what are you doing?" Marik asked as she walked over towards Joey's possessed body, once she was in front she showed Joey the photo and blinked as she waited for Joey to respond. Marik who saw this scoffed.
"What is this? It's just an image" Marik said while Myra stared at Joey with sad eyes but didn't move the photo away.
"What is this… hey wait a minute! I know that photo!" Joey blinked briefly as images of that day formed in his mind, just then he remembered a few incidents that took place but in the end it had a few laughing as a result. His mind went to how Yami had accidently tripped and landed on the spirit who was lived in Myra's pendent as she sat on the chair, shocked and angry the spirit had slapped Yami causing some to go quiet until Lily- Yugi's mother had laughed as Yami looked terrified while the female spirit was fuming over how he wouldn't get off of her legs.
"I know that picture, that was taken during Christmas" Joey muttered causing Myra's eyes to go wide at how the plan worked.
"How is this possible? How did I lose control?" Marik yelled before trying to take control of Joey, sensing that Joey had lost control Myra took a step back.
"If you think that will stop me then you've got another thing coming!" Marik yelled as he pushed Myra using the power of the Millenium item causing her to fall into the water.
"MYRA!" Yami screamed in horror before Tristan pulled him back.
"HA! I win!" Marik yelled with glee.
"You cheat! That's not fair!" Téa screamed but Marik just laughed at how Myra was not coming out of the water.
"What's wrong? Can't swim?" Marik taunted before seeing a bright light from within the water shocking him to silence, hearing the battle cries of both fairies who turned into balls of light they went into the water causing the light to grow.
"What's happening?" Yami yelled as they tried to shield their eyes, until suddenly the water shot out from below them revealing a tall woman with long silvery blond hair that was in a braid, the woman had a four purplish petal translucent wings that shone as the light touched it, she wore a long sleeved sky blue dress with petals on the bottom of the dress. Her ears were pointy and she had bright blue eyes that shone with anger as she held Myra's drenched form in her arms, her right hand held despite holding Myra with both arms a long sceptre which contained a compass on the top part of the sceptre which took the shape of a compass. Ancient Mother of the Compass- (6000/6000).
"6000 attack and defence points?!" Yami yelled in shock as the woman landed back where Myra had once stood, coughing Myra glared at him before looking at her monster. Nodding She made a few gestures with her hands.
"Get that idiot of THAT idiot's body!" Myra signed angrily before pointing at Joey, glaring at him the woman nodded before summoning the two fairies that were used to summon her. Both had equal angry expressions on their faces that left the others a little worried.
"Uh oh…" Mokuba muttered as soon as he saw their angry looks, before anyone could process what was going on-
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Marik and Joey screamed as the sun's beam hit them from where they stood causing everyone to blanch in shock.
Marik meanwhile was sent flying into the water causing a tanned male to jump in and safe him from drowning due to how badly Marik was twitching from the aftershock of the attack. Anger and shock field Marik at the fact she had bested him using her own power to overthrow his control.
"Master Marik are you okay?" the tanned male cried after getting them onto the boat, only Marik's body was still in shock from the attack to move properly.
"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!" Joey screamed in agony as he briefly recovered enough to storm over towards a fuming Myra who was still glaring at him, despite being slightly burned from the sun's intense flare he still forced himself to make his way towards her before blinking as he realised that he could finally move and speak.
"Hey… I'm back to normal" Joey muttered before looking at his hands and then at Myra who was tapping her foot weakly. "I'm back!" Myra winced as Joey hugged her while her monsters just watched with mixed expressions.
"Bit out of character for him, but I'm not complaining except… I wish he would stop hugging me" Myra signed to a weak smiling Marium who watched.
"Thanks Myra, I don't know how you did it- hey wait your arm and face" Joey pulled back to see blood streaking down her left upper arm while her cheek had a gash caused from hitting the beam. Blinking Myra winced as she placed her non injured hand to her face.
"Myra Joey you're both okay!" Tristan yelled as he helped Serenity find her way towards the pair. "What happened? I saw you fall in the water and then this monster showing up. Myra looking at Marium nodded signalling for the spirit to speak.
"She's known as Ancient Mother of the Compass, she's a ten stared monster who cannot be destroyed in battle or card effects. Her ability allows her to summon Ancient Fairy and Dark Fairy who will share their ability with each other once more" Marium explained surprising the group.
"Hey! You can talk?" Joey cried causing him to hear her groan.
"Honestly Joey, I'm borrowing her mouth do we need to go through this again that you cannot recognise my voice?" Marium asked wearily leaving him to freeze.
"Your that spirit that took over Myra's body back at Duelist Kingdom" Joey cried causing her to shake her head slowly.
"I would applaud you but Myra's arm needs medical attention otherwise she might lose it" Marium gestured to the blood that was dripping.
"Oh yeah, sorry about that" Joey said weakly as he scratched the back of his head. Shaking her head she looked at Seto.
"A little help would be nice please Seto if you please" Marium hinted politely just as the group approached them.
"Are you okay?" Mokuba asked only to see her frown.
"I need to get some wood out my arm, please can I see a doctor?" Marium asked causing Mokuba to react.
"I'll call our doctor at the hospital, Seto can we get her there by the helicopter?" Mokuba asked, not saying anything Seto guided the pair to their mode of transportation.
"Should we come as well?" Yami asked as he approached the helicopter.
"Too cramped" Seto muttered before slamming the door shut causing Yami to freeze at how cold Seto was being.
"That was really harsh Seto" Mokuba said softly.
"Yeah well I'm not in a good mood, as for you I want answers" Seto said to Myra who's eyes changed slightly.
"Honestly Seto… my injuries first then questions" Marium muttered as they were now moving.
"Just how bad are they?" Mokuba helped remove her jacket only what they saw left them pale, Myra went still as she saw a large piece of wood lodged into her upper arm and the worst part- it was sticking out the other end of her arm.
"Hurry the chopper now" Seto said sternly Mokuba went pale while removing his jacket and placed it on the other end of the injury.
"Didn't you feel it?" Mokuba asked now looking frantic.
"To be honest Myra and I didn't feel it, we just felt dizzy from the head injury that when we slammed against the beam behind us the cold water must have numbed our arm" Marium explained before getting Myra to enter her soul room so she didn't feel anymore pain. Marium who was now in control took slow deep breaths as she looked at them.
"Just who are you?" Seto asked with a curious look on his face that left her shaking her head but ended up stopping due to the head rush.
"I'm a spirit like Yami who existed quiet a long time, half a millennia to be exact" Marium explained softly while watching the stunned expressions of the boys.
"Wait you're that old?" Mokuba asked causing her to chuckle weakly.
"Yes, although I died early because someone decided to kill me" Marium explained as she saw the hospital at a distance "please keep me talking, I don't want to pass out or I might not wake up" Marium asked softly as she felt her head get dizzy, she placed her free hand to her head and her eyes started to become heavy.
"Miss, miss stay with us" Mokuba said as he grabbed her uninjured arm with his free hand, meanwhile Seto started barking out commands but kept his eyes on Marium who was about to pass out. "Miss, can you tell us your name?" Mokuba asked as he tried to tap her face with his hand lightly, watching him with blurry eyes she smiled briefly as sweat formed on her brow.
"-ium, -arium… y… ame… s… Marium" Marium slowly closed her eyes before passing out, her ears no longer were able to hear the frantic noises in the helicopter.
I feel bad that I had to get Myra injured, who knows what will happen next.
As for the cards Myra has, these were ideas that I came up with for some time and I wanted to put the deck into the story but it took a while before I could put them in. Thankfully they are here just altered due to not writing them down ^ ^;
Yes they are in a way op, but they do have weak points like most monster cards do. Here are the list of cards she has so far and when she plays them it is based on luck since the other fairies wouldn't appear unless Lil Fairy is on the field.
Fairy's call (Spell card)- Summons a Fairy with less than 1000 points to the field.
Fairy Enchanted Spring (field spell)- Can protect fairy monsters from spells and traps, can send a fairy that is in the grave back into the deck.
Dark Fairy of the Compass/Ancient Dark Witch of the Compass- Cannot be destroyed by monster cards when Ancient Fairy is on the field and can protect her from monster cards
Lil Fairy- When normal or special summoned she can summon a Lil fairy e.g Fire, Wind, Earth and Water who in turn can summon their own counterparts. When equiped with Ancient Staff of the Compass she can summon counter parts Lil Witch of Northwick, Eastwick, Southwick or Westwick who can be used to summon Ancient Witch of the Compass (Will appear later ^ ^ with her counterpart Dark Witch of the Compass)
Lil Fairy Fire- when Ancient Fairy is in graveyard can draw a card, can summon Lil Fairy Wind, Lil Fairy Earth or Lil Fairy Water, Depending on who is on field
Lil Fairy Water- Draw one card and helps summon Lil Fairy Earth, Lil Fairy Wind or Lil Fairy Fire depending on who is on field
Earth summons Lil Fairy Wind, Lil Fairy Water or Lil Fairy Fire depending on who is on field. Player can draw a card once used to fusion summon
Wind summons Fire and can banish cards from opponents graveyard if they are of similar names. Can also draw card when no monsters are in player's graveyard
Ancient Fairy- Cannot be destroyed or targeted by card effects when Dark Fairy is on the field and can protect from card effects. Can also bring Staff of the Ancient Fay to hand
Fairy Charm (Spell)- Adds a fairy spell card to hand.
Ancient War Cry (Trap)- Sends all cards from Graveyard and banished zone back to the deck, both sides must draw three cards if one less than two stars then hand goes to the graveyard and must redraw the hand that was lost.
Staff of the Ancient Fay (Spell) - 1) Can summon Lil Fairy from deck to hand. 2) Can be used to summon counterpart of Ancient Fairy of the Compass- Dark Fairy of the Compass.
Compass reform (Spell) - Can fuse the compass pieces together as a result can select one spell from deck to hand.
Fay Mirage (Trap) - Attacking monster is sent to the banished zone and attack is negated, player must then add a Fairy monster to hand
Ancient Mother of the Compass- (6000/6000) Cannot be destroyed by monster or card effects. Can summon Ancient Fairy and Dark Fairy or Ancient Witch of Compass with her counter part Dark Witch of the Compass from graveyard with their points increased by 1000. Can send cards from opponents hand to banished zone for every Lil Fairy or Lil Witch type card in the graveyard.
