Story Time:

Hello again you must be here hoping to see the kabuto fossil i found. You've arrived just in time, you see after finding this fossil in kanto i immediately started to build a machine that would allow me to revive the kabuto. I was able to finish the machine last night we were just about to test it.

Is the fossil ready?

Well sir it is secured inside the machine and all the rocks and debris are removed but their is still some moss on the outside of the fossil.

Who cares it won't cause any harm start the machine. Watch carefully this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

The machine whirrs to life and then suddenly it explodes*

What am i going to do i'll never get my hands on another fossil. Wait it looks like something is coming out from the smoke. It worked it worked we successfully revived a kabuto, but wait kabuto isn't supposed to be green is it? That's even better we've discovered a shiny fossil pokemon.

My hypothesis is that while the machine was exploding the fossil was successfully revived but the moss on the outside merged with the shell of kabuto. This is probably what caused the machine to explode in the first place.

It would appear that shiny pokemon can not only be found naturally (though i have yet to discover a natural shiny) but pokemon can also become shiny with the correct situation. My next experiment will test the claim that each pokemon only has one shiny variety.

I will report back when i have new data. I am sure more will come soon.

Sincerely, Colress
