Everything seems to be going smoothly with Hiccup and his parents, as Valka was trying to cook fish pieces on a stick. Hiccup was going on and on about how everything on Berk changed since they trained the dragons.
"And mom, you wouldn't even recognize it!" He rambled on, grabbing some fish out of a basket, closing the lid on Bing Bong's nose as he tried to sneak some. He grumbled a bit. 'You're no fun at mealtimes,' he thought grumpily. "Where we used to build axes and swords, we now do dragon saddles, slings, and heck, we even fix dragon teeth! You wouldn't believe how much everything has changed!" He finished excitedly, while his mom almost dropped the meals.
Stoick laughed heartily. "Our son has certainly changed Berk for the better! I think we did well with this one, Val." Valka dropped most of her ke-bobs as he patted her on the back. Before Bing Bong could steal some, Cloudjumper got there first, eating them, sticks and all.
Valka laughed nervously as she handed Gobber one of the fish ke-bobs. "I'm a little out of practice," She admitted.
Stoick chuckled. "Ah, you know, I didn't marry you for your cooking!"
"I hope not!" Gobber proclaimed. "Her meatballs can kill more beasts than a battle axe!" He chuckled, patting his stomach. I think I still got a few knocking around in here!
Hiccup comtinued excitedly, making Bing-Bong smile as he sat next to Cloudjumper. But still... Riley...
"And once you move in with your dragons, oh, Drago won't even stand a chance! Everything will be okay!" Stoick chuckled, placing his hand on Hiccup's shoulders.
"Slow down, son, it's a lot to take in."
Bing Bong was lost in thought, thinking of his girl, Riley. Cloudjumper glanced at him. "You okay?" He questioned. He simply nodded, not giving a straight answer.
"I know that something is troubling you, you can't keep it in forever. It's not healthy," Cloudjumper advised. Bing Bong sighed
"I'm torn, Cloudjumper. Between my former friend, Riley, and my new one, Hiccup. When Joy found me in Long-Term Memory, she promised me that she would help Riley remember me. But it didn't happen. I fell into the pit of Forgotten Memories, and ended up here. I hoped to take her on one last Journey with me as an Imaginary Friend, and now I'm this creature that Hiccup takes me on Journeys with. How can I simply forget Riley when I am with this new family? I'm afraid of breaking my friendship with Riley apart with this!" Sobbed Bing Bong, breathing heavily after his outburst, but making sure only Cloudjumper understood him.
Cloudjumper glanced at him sympathetically. "You know something, the way you talk to me about Riley before, being adventureous and great at hockey, I'm slowly seeing her in Hiccup."
"What do you mean?" Bing Bong asked.
"I mean, as long as you remember all the good times you had with Riley, she is never really gone. Her spirit image is probably with Hiccup right now."
Bing Bong looked over, where he saw Stoick and Valka dancing, Gobber laughing and dancing like a crazy fool, Hiccup smiling at the sight of his parents, and, to his surprise, a distorted image of Riley, smiling right at him. He felt his heart lift at this. He smiled at Cloudjumper, who gazed at him like any grandfather would.
"I-I really do see her. Thank you, friend. I know where I need to be. Hiccup and his family need me. As long as I'm with them she will always with me." Bing Bong said in a choked voice full of emotion. "Anytime," Cloudjumper responded in his slow rumbling voice.
The two suddenly were pulled away from their conversation by Gobber singing off-key. Bing Bong grimaced and covered his ear flaps, Cloudjumper let out a low moan of annoyance. "How much of that raw fish on a stick d id this man eat?" Bing Bong let out a hearty laugh.
"I'm done." Gobber announced, much to the relief of everybody.
Stoick smiled at his love. "I thought I'd die before we have that dance again!" He said jokingly. Valka laughed. "No need for drastic measures!"
Stoick took her hands. "For you my dear, anything." Bing Bong felt his heart swell at these words. "Will you come home, Val? Will you be my wife once again?" Valka had no words to say for this. She just stared in utter shock and happiness.
Bing Bong smirked playfully and butted Valka gently into Stoick's arms. She giggled and Hiccup also went into the group hug. Valka petted Bing Bong lightly as he let out a soft dragon coo noise. "We can be a family!" Said Stoick gleefully. Bing Bong smiled at the word. 'Family', such a powerful word. One that could almost never be broken.
"Yes!" Valka said happily, Bing Bong leaning his dragon form into her affectionately. Gobber suddenly joined them. "Great! I'll do the cooking!" He announced, making everybody laugh. Bing Bong sighed. If only this moment could last forever...
But then there were loud roars and screeches coming from outside the cave. Bing Bong's eyes widened and he smelled something foul in the air. He growled softly. Hiccup looked worried. "Toothless?" He asked, using his friend's nickname. Multiple dragons in the sanctuary were flying out in huge groups, obviously scenting danger, too. Hiccup's mouth fell open at the sight. "What's happening?"
As if on que, a loud explosion echoed through the sanctuary, making everyone stumble a bit. Valka raced out, small bits of ice hitting her as she made it out. What she saw made her gasp with fury and horror.
Drago's ships and armored dragons were flocking towards the Ice Cave armed to the teeth with traps, spears, etc. Bing Bong started in horror. He was coming to wipe them out!
Valka was seething with fury before Stoick grabbed her hand gently. "Val, it's alright. We're a team now. So what do you want to do?" Bing Bong knew what she was going to say, he felt wat she felt. "We have to save the dragons!" She said determidley. "Aye, you got it. Come on, son!" He called to Hiccup and Bing Bong, who both nodded.
Drago snarled menacingly as he watched a dragon fall by a net. He surveyed the scene before him. "Whatever comes, keep hitting the mountain! We need to draw the Alpha out!"
Dragons from the Ice Cave and Drago's Army clashed with each other, claws and teeth ripping at scales. "Ready the traps!" Drago ordered.
Traps that held dragons inside were used as bait when two dragons got snared in them. But in another one, one hunter was looking confused by all the green smoke that surrounded him. He was too late to move out of the way when the gas exploided into flames, revealing the Berk Dragon Riders.
"Surprise!" Tuffnut cheered gleefully on the back of Barf Belch the Zippleback with his twin sister, Tuffmut. The group flew into battle with Astrid and Freya (and Eret, clinging on for dear life). Astrid smiled at Eret. So did Freya. "You really are full of surprises!" She complimented. She pulled him onto her Nadder's back and they took off.
The gang used their dragon's firepower to blow up as many traps as they could, including Barf and Belch spewing gas along the line of traps and Freya using her magnesium flame on it to do more damage. The dragons inside broke free of their bonds and joined the fight. Drago was utterly furious at this.
"CUT THEM DOWN!" He bellowed at his men, who started shooting strange knive weapons at the Riders. Freya stared in horror as they nearly hit Barf and Belch, causing Ruffnut to fall of her head and plummet towards earth.
"Eret, son of Eret!" She screamed, though Eret could do nothing but watch since he can't move Freya very well. Ruff thought for a moment that she was going to die, but then was suddenly snatched in mid-air by both Fishlegs and Snotlout, looking very interesting indeed. She smiled and closed her eyes in bliss from her rescuers.
"Up, girl!" Astrid called to Freya, who obliged. "Lean left, Eret!" Eret barley managed to avoid a large icicle. But then a overly large piece sailed toward them as she screamed, "Look out!" A sudden banshee like scream filled the air and a white/blue flash of flame blasted the icicle to bits. Freya glanced up, and to her relief, she saw Hiccup, Bing Bong, Stoick, Skullcrusher, along with Gobber and Grump joining the fray. Bing Bong flew as hard as he could in the air as his prosthetic tail would allow him. He was determined to stop this madman from destroying everything he loved once and for all! He and Hiccup flew around, blasting traps here and there.
Gobber and Grump flew down, Gobber calling out "Heads Up!" And his Hotburple's tail slammed into groups of trappers, knocking them over like dominoes. Drago growled watching his army getting taken out by these blasted Riders, when he heard a banshee screech from above, and saw a black dragon soar through the air. "Dragon Master," he muttered. So the blonde girl wasn't lying after all...
Bing Bong flew up towards Freya, Astrid, and Eret.
"Where were you?!" Freya exclaimed. "We thought Drago got hold of you two!"
"Well, you know, we were catching up with Hiccup's mom!" Bing Bong said slyly. Freya tilted her head in confusion before he pointed out Valka standing on Cloudjumper and wearing her mask, her staff raised as the Alpha rose from the next, roaring furiously. Freya's jaw dropped as did Astrid's.
"That's his mom?" Freya cried out in utter astonishment. "Pretty cool, right? Now you know where he gets his dramatic flare!" Bing Bong said happily before flying off to the rest of the battle. The Bewilderbeast bellowed, smashing ice with it's tusks as it joined the fight. Drago smiled triumphantly. "The Alpha! Now we have a fight!"
Valka pointed her staff towards the Hunters, guiding all of her dragons to defeat the evil. Zipplebacks rolled into flaming death balls, destroying traps and weapons in its deadly path (pray to the gods the twins don't use this attack method!). One got caught in one, however, which Hiccup and Bing Bong noticed. "C'mon, Bing Bong! Let's show them what you got!" Bing Bong put on a determined smile. "Let's bring the heat!" He divebombed the trap and set it alight with a plasma blast, the dragon able to break free. Hiccup cheered at their victory!
Cloudjumper noticed a Windwalker being taken down by an armored dragon. He and Valka charged forward in the air and freed the dragon from it's claws. But then a net hurtled out of nowhere, ensnaring Cloudjumper causing Valka to fall off onto the ground. Cloudjumper felt fear for his Rider as he struggled to free himself. Drago slowly approached her menacingly. "I've waited a long time for this!" He said triumphantly. Valka rushed at him, whacking every inch of his body as she could while he deflected her attacks. "You can't take our dragons!" She shouted defiantly. "They are controlled by the Alpha!"
Drago smirked. "Then it is a good thing that I brought a challenger!" Then, to Cloudjumper's fear, he started to let out a fierce sounding yell, waving his staff around.
The water began to rumble. Then ships started to shatter and break as two large tusks rose up from the depths, leading to the second, even larger Bewildebeast! Bing Bong noticed this huge beast, his and Hiccup's mouth falling open in complete shock and disbelief. A second one?! Bing Bong thought in horror while Hiccup shouted out "Another one?"
Fishlegs shrieked, "I was wrong! THAT IS A CLASS TEN! DEFINETLEY A CLASS TEN!" The Dark Bewilderbeast went along a rampage, roaring out a challenge to the White one and stepping on traps.
Valka stared in utter horror. "No..." She whispered, terrified. She shook herself out of it and tried to knock Drago down again but he swiped at her, making her fall on her back. She grunted in pain as he placed his boot on her chest. Cloudjumper cried out for her, trying to break free. Drago raised his spear, preparing to strike her heart, when an explosion to his face caused him to fall to the floor, dazed. He shook his head to clear it and stood up, and a shocking scene met his eyes!
Stoick was helping Valka to her feet, Skullcrusher standing in defense mode and glaring at Drago. "Thank you," She murmured to Stoick, who smiled at her then pulled out his axe. "For you my dear, anything!" He declared firmly, glaring daggers at Drago as the two circled each other. At the same time, the White and Dark Bewilderbeasts began their battle for the Alpha position. They roared and clashed tusks together. Stoick noticed this.
"Valka, do you think you can stop them?" He asked. Valka nodded. She freed Cloudjumper from the net. "We'll do our best! C'mon Cloudjumper!" She exclaimed, jumping on his back and flying over to prevent them from killing each other. Drago yelled and sent a punch at Stoick, who blocked it. "You!" He bellowed. "I watched you burn!" Stoick shoved him back furiously. "It takes a lot more than a little fire to kill me!" He added a few punches of his own for good mesure.
The Bewilderbeasts continued their battle in a raging fury. Gobber flew down on Grump and tossed Stoick his weapon from his prosthetic arm. He caught it and rammed Drago right in the face with it letting out a battle cry.
Bing Bong and Hiccup watched in the air as Valka guided Cloudjumper towards the battling Bewilderbeasts. She flew in between them and held out her hand and staff commmandingly, but was forced to retreat as the two banged together in fury.
Please beat him, White Alpha! Please beat him! Bing Bong prayed silently but he somehow already knew that the White One was older and not as strong and agile as the Dark One. In a horrifying move, the Dark One shoved the White Alpha upward, exposing the soft underbelly. He forced the older dragon to the floor, and delivered the fatal blow. The White One let out his death cry and then silence.
The Good Alpha was now dead..
Bing Bong stared in utter horror and grief as the new Alpha let out it's roar in victory. No! No! The former Imaginary Friend thought, tears threatening to come. It was hard to believe now that their dragon leader was dead!
Hiccup pulled back his mask and let out shuddering breaths, looking grief-stricken while both Astrid and Freya let out cries of "No!" Bing Bong glanced around in despair at all of the other dragons that have been ensnared by the Dark Alpha's hypnotic call, their eyes turned to slits as they flew over to join him and bowed their heads.
Drago smiled evilly. "We've won! Now," he pointed his bowstaff at Valka and Cloudjumper "finish her!" Stoick noticed and shouted "No!" right as the Dark Alpha blasted ice at the pair. They nearly avoided getting covered completely covered in ice, but Cloudjumper felt an icy pain in his tail, which was coated in ice.
A downed dragon was a dead dragon.
Stoick felt horror fill him as he remembered these words and quickly took action. He hopped onto Skullcrusher's back. "Go, Skullcrusher!" He turned to his old friend "C'mon, Gobber!" Gobber followed behind him. "Right behind yeh, Stoick!"
Valka struggled in vain to stay on her dragon, but she had no saddle, which proved difficult. Finally her fingers slipped and she screamed as she fell. Stoick grabbed her just in time, jumped off his dragon, and used his axe to slow their fall. They quickly found cover as the Dark Alpha began to sniff out his prey. Drago smiled ruefully at the sight but then he heard a young man's voice cry out. "STOP!" The Dragon Master and his Night Fury landed in front of him.
Bing Bong stood protectively behind Hiccup as he took off his helmet and threw it aside, revealing himself to Drago. Drago laughed in amusement.
"So this is the great Dragon Master? The son of Stoick the Vast! What shame he must feel!" Now tbat really pissed Bing Bong off as he growled silently. There's more to Hiccup than you know, Bloodyfist! He thought furiously. Hiccup glared at Drago. "All of this loss, and for what? To become unstoppable? To rule the world? Dragons, they are kind amazing creatures that can bring people together! And Toothless here," He said, gesturing to Bing Bong, "He's got more emotion than you ever know!" He declared, hoping to reach through to Drago. Drago just glared at Hiccup.
"Or tear them apart!" Bing Bong couldn't help but tilt his head. What happened? Then a horrific sight met his eyes. Drago had taken of his prosthetic arm to reveal a mangled stump where his arm used to be! Hiccup had the same expression he had. Drago put his metal arm back on and continued. "You see, I know what it is like to live in fear! To see my village burned, my family taken. But even as a boy, left with nothing, I vowed to rise above the fear of dragons, and liberate the people of this world!"
As he said this, he turned to Bing Bong, who shuddered at the thought of what Drago could do to Riley, Joy, and the other Emotions. "Then why a Dragon Army?" Hiccup asked. "Well, you need dragons to conquer other dragons!" He stated, as though it ended the conversation. "Or maybe you need dragons to conquer people? To control those who follow you? And to get rid of those who won't?" Drago chuckled. "Clever boy!" Hiccup placed his hand out towards Bing Bong, who was feeling a lot of hate towards this madman. "The world wants peace. And we have the answer back on Berk. Just let me show you-?"
Drago cut him off "NO!" He yelled, startling both Hiccup and Bing Bong, who felt slightly terrified at the outburst. "Let me show you!" He then turned, letting out his horrible yell and waving his bow staff around, getting the Dark Alpha's attention to the duo. Stoick narrowed his eyes in confusion. "What in-?" He saw the Bewilderbeast heading towards his son and his dragon. His eyes widened in horror. "HICCUP!" He and Valka charged down the mountain. "Come on, Gobber!" He shouted to his friend, who was half-way up the hill. "Okay, change of plans!" He deadpanned.
Bing Bong backed away, terrified as the Dark Alpha loomed above them. "No dragon can resist the Alpha's command!" Drago said sneeringly. "So he who controls the Alpha, controls them all!" Drago pointed his staff at Bing Bong, who flinched. But then his ears were filled with a rumbling hissing sound that was almost hypnotic. Fall under my power, Bing Bong Imaginary Friend! Hissed the Dark Alpha, increasing his power on him.
Bing Bong shook his head to clear it, but it was too strong. How did you know? He thought, trying to throw off his influence. Your eyes. The way you talk to your rider. You're not a Night Fury. Just a pathetic elephant creature of a little girl's mind who forgot you! I can help you become a powerful being if you submit to me! He hissed temptingly.
Bing Bong shook his head furiously. NO! he cried in his mind. I WON'T LET YOU USE ME! The Dark Alpha growled. THEN I WILL TAKE YOU BY FORCE! Even more hypnotic snarls and rumbles broke in Bing Bong's head, making him writhe and cry in pain. Hiccup turned to his friend, who was thrashing around in agony.
"Bing Bong? He asked, forgetting to use his nickname. Drago raised his brow at this, but decided to ignore it. "You okay, bud? What's going on?" Hiccup asked, worried for his friend, who suddenly stopped thrashing violently and was now gritting his teeth as hard as he can, trying to shut it all out.
"Witness strength!" Drago announced. Bing Bong slowly felt his Memories and feeling fade away. Riley...Joy...Hiccup...Freya...Stoick...Astrid... Dagur...Windshear...Heather...Valka...Cloudjumper...Thornado!
The Dark Alpha's face looked into his mind's vision, sneering at him. Soon, you will be my SLAVE! He hissed in a honey-venom voice. No..no... Bing Bong could barley remember who he was anymore... his mind became an empty void. His eyes opened and everything was a blurred reddish color. Now you are mine! Said the Dark Alpha triumphantly. I await your command, my master... Bing Bong thought mindlessly. All he had was his Alpha now, nobody else.
Hiccup noticed Bing Bong straightening up, but something felt wrong. When his green eyes open, they were slits. He stood still, like a puppet waiting to be used. "And in the face of it, you are nothing!" Drago pointed his staff from Bing Bong to Hiccup. Hiccup was now really worried. What happened to Bing Bong? Bing Bong heard his master's voice reach hi. In his empty mind. Kill the human boy! Yes, my Master. Bing Bong turned his head, and slowly turned and stalked towards Hiccup like a Predatory Night Fury would. Hiccup backed away slightly. "Uh, what did he just tell you?"
Stoick continued to run towards his son, desperate to save him. He noticed his Night Fury was moving closer to him, but not in a friendly way. He new that look all too well...
"Bing Bong!" Cried Hiccup, backing away even more. "What's the matter with you?" Controlled Bing Bong continued to stalk forward, intent on killing his prey to please his Alpha. "No, no, C'mon what are you doing? Knock it off." No response. "STOP!" Hiccup yelled, but his voice was distorted in Bing Bong's ears. "SNAP OUT OF IT!"
Bing Bong finally spoke, but not in his friendly funny voice he got used to. It was a voice that sounded like Satan himself. "I SERVE NOBODY BUT THE ALPHA!" He hissed in a throaty deep snarl. "AND NOW YOU DIE!" Hiccup felt all hope for his friend fading at that voice. He was really gone. And about to kill him.
Stoick threw his axe at a rope holding up a beam, that created a bridge that he jumped across to get even closer. This was his only chance!
He tried once more.
"Please, I know my friend is in there! And he's still fighting!" It was false words as the beast before him heard his Master's final orders. Fire! Bing Bong felt a plasma blast well up within his throat, deaf to Hiccup's pleas to him to stop. Stoick suddenly yelled out, "SON!" and raced even faster to Hiccup, who turned to him and tried to push him out of the way. "Dad, NO!" He screamed, but too late as Stoick moved him out of the fire range. There was a deafening explosion along with a loud grunt, then silence.
Valka gasped with horror at the noise, terrified at what she was about to see...
Hiccup got to his feet, a bit stunned, but alive. He glanced over at Bing Bong-no, he was gone- at the demon dragon, just staring blankly, a trail of smoke issuing from his mouth. Then he knew... his father jumped in the way, getting hit in his place... He leapt to his feet and ran over to the unmoving form of Stoick, covered in ice chunks. He shoved them off trying to wake him up.
"Dad!" He screamed, throwing off the last piece as Valka joined him, placing her ear against her husband's chest for any heartbeat, but there was nothing. She gave a small whimper of grief as she glanced at her only son. He stared, horrorstruck and in disbelief.
No, Bing Bong, You didn't... you couldn't...
But no matter what he thought, he then realized. The gentle fun-loving Imaginary Friend had killed his father. Astrid and Eret then landed Stormfly and jumped off. She gasped at the scene before her, running over to comfort her future husband.
The Dark Alpha smiled wickedly, releasing his hold on Bing Bong, who shook his head in confusion, wondering what happened. He then heard Hiccup moaning with grief in his voice. Cold dread filled him. What did he do under the Dark Alpha? He turned, tilting his head at the sight of Hiccup crying over his father. Bing Bong cautiously moved closer, letting out a soft croon as he nudged Stoick, trying to get him to wake up. Then he smelt the stench of plasma and Death on him, and tears fell down his face. You can't be dead, Stoick! It's too cruel! Rough hands suddenly pushed him away.
"No! Get away from him!" It was Hiccup. Bing Bong stared. "W-what?" He asked nervously, not bothering to disguise his voice.
"Get out of here!" Hiccup yelled, grief and anger toward him in his voice. "Hiccup, please, I didn't mean-" He couldn't finish as Hiccup snapped again. "GET AWAY!" He yelled. "I CAN'T BELIEVE I EVEN SAW YOU AS A FRIEND, TRAITOR!" His words stung Bing Bong's heart until it broke. Tears in his eyes, with nothing else to say. he ran. Ran blindly away through the remains of the battle.
Am I going to loose everyone I love? Is this a punishment? Why was I even sent here?! He wailed silently before Bing Bong suddenly felt his vision go a blurry red, the Dark Alpha possesing him once more. Forget about the boy. Rumbled the Dark Alpha's voice in his head. Rid your mind of all your troublesome friends and past family. Bing Bong bowed his head, accepting the control. He had nobody to comfort in, anyway.
Drago noticed Bing Bong come his way, his eyes turning to slits from the Bewilderbeast, then attempting to fly up to him. He chuckled darkly, approaching the Night Fury and using his bowstaff to pull him down and getting on his back.
Hiccup sobbed after he pushed his friend away. Valka placed her arm around his shoulders. "It was not his fault, you know that. Good dragons, under the control of bad people, do bad things." While she said this, the Dark Alpha took control of the other Rider's dragons. They begged them to come back, but to no avail.
Hiccup suddenly then heard the familiar Night Fury moan from Bing Bong. He turned, and to his horror, saw Drago riding him. He growled on the inside. Absolutely NOBODY used his best friend without his permission, NOBODY! He tried to run after them. "Bing Bong!" He yelled in despair and fury, but his mother stopped him. There was no point. Not yet. "No, don't!" she protested, feeling her own grief.
He watched despair as his friend was taken away. They had lost.
I'm sorry I did this to Bing Bong and Stoick, I'm so sorry! :( :(
