Post T.A.A.H

Voldo looked like an overgrown sunflower in the outfit Master Hand had ordered him to wear in the tournament. His usual outfit was too inappropriate, he explained, and they had to censor the fighter's wardrobe before he was acceptable enough to fight in any of the scheduled matches. The Italian's fate was sealed when Crazy hand offered to make him a proper outfit.

Needless to say, his idea of proper was Voldo's idea of a reason to massacre. He may have been blind, but he knew when he was wearing something ridiculous. Especially when he heard people mocking him.

Siegfried had held back the laughs for as long as he could, and as best as was physically possible. He considered it a miracle that he had been able to hold them in for so long. Maxi had not been so lucky. He had lasted all of five minutes before he burst out laughing. After that he wound up running around the manor laughing about dollops of daisies and magical flowers with a murderous Voldo following his every move.

There was only one thing that had been able to calm the fighter down.

Link had purchased a bouquet of fresh sunflowers to decorate Voldo's room with. He explained that they reminded him of the sun, and were always able to make him smile when he could see no glowing orb in the sky. After that the costume seemed more like a blessing than a curse. Voldo accepted it, seemed to embrace it, and even grew to like it after a long drawn out process. Link liked it, after all, and so he could grow to do so as well.

Though he still attempted to maim anyone who made a comment about it.

Pre T.A.A.H

Link did not like Hwang, had never liked Hwang, and never would like Hwang.

When the two of them first met, Link had had every intention of politely greeting the man and extending his hand out in friendship as he had with every other fighter he met in Siegfried's world. Apparently, the man knew nothing about being polite or any form of decent tact. The first thing Hwang said to Link was a highly insensitive joke about the Hylian's ears. Link had sputtered, Siegfried had shouted, Seong Mina had whacked the Korean over the head with her Zanbatou, and that was the end of that.

Or it was for a little while.

A few days later Siegfried had been discussing theories about Soul Edge's whereabouts with Hanmyong. The conversation had been edgy from the first uttered word. The man was suspicious. Even though his daughter saw reason to trust the stranger, he did not.

Siegfried knew how to be patient. Suspicion was nothing new to him, and it was only harmful to a person if there was nothing to ease it. Lucky for them, Siegfried was very good at finding the little something that would give him just an ounce of trust from even the most reluctant of individuals.

He had just been about to get some decent information, when he heard Link cry out in indignation. Siegfried barely held himself back from beating up Hwang, who had decided in his infinite curiosity to tug harshly on one of Link's ears. As it was, he had to settle for holding Link back from punching the warrior in the face.

Ever since then, the brunette had developed a weird fixation with the Hylian's ears. Blowing in them, tugging on them, screaming in them, poking at them with sticks…Siegfried had never had to retrain a murderous Link so many times in his life.

Hwang stated he was just being curious. Link was still very much enraged. The kind of curiosity Hwang had was a type that Link found he could not stand. A reason to ridicule, a reason to mock, a reason to point and laugh, and a reason to seem superior. That was what Hwang wanted, and that was why he was so interested in the one aspect that made the elf different from him.

They were relieved when their journey in Korea had finally come to an end.

However, Link was furious when Seong Mina had appeared before them months later with a smiling Hwang in tow.

Fang: Quick question. Do you have a problem with Hwang?

MistressOfTime: (Completely serious) Not at all. Why do you ask?

Fang: …No reason.

MistressOfTime: Please R&R guys.
