And so, Lucy, Natsu, Gajeel and Levy all went to the bumper cars, with the boys praying that they won't throw up (motion sickness sucks). But hey, if riding on a vehicle wasn't bad enough, bumping into other cars was probably the worst, especially if you ate a lot of food(*cough* Natsu *cough*) before going to a carnival where there are a lot of rides and you feel like your stomach's about to explode. But I guess the boys (Yes, Natsu AND Gajeel) didn't have the heart to tell the girls about their sickness, because they wanted them to be happy and have fun. Of course, they were all here to have fun. But after this who knows what will happen.
Anyway, let's move on to the next group.
Words couldn't describe how happy Gray was. He had never felt this way with anyone, well, he wasn't much into romantic relationships, it was too dramatic. You get into pointless fights, things get out of hand, jealousy gets in your way, and of course, not having faith in each other and that is one of the most important things in a relationship. They break up and after some time they make up, then they fight and break up again and later make up again, and again and again. As if they couldn't decide whether they were made for each other or not.
How Gray knows this, well, his parents went through all of this. (just imagine it, it's for the story). They used to be so happy together, enjoying each other's company, having fun and laughing together, they never argued or fought, they were always being there for each other through good and bad times...but that all change after Gray was born.
After they got married, they thought they were ready to take the next step and after Gray was born, things got out of hand. They argued and fought a lot, with the father going out to work and the mother being left in the house to take care of Gray. Not only that, but she was also left to do all the chores, like laundry, cooking, cleaning etc. She would be exhausted from all the work and so would her husband, but when the baby started crying his mother would ask her husband to take care of the baby, but the father would yell that he was tired and didn't have time to take care of some baby. And that was how they would fight.
Gray honestly didn't know his father, he was barely a year old when his parents divorced and he moved away with his mother to live with his grandparents. Sometimes when he was old enough he would ask about his father, but his mother would always say that he was always travelling around the world and working hard. And when he became 14, his mother decided that Gray was old enough to know the truth.
Gray didn't know who to blame. His mother, who kept the secret from him for years, or his father, who never loved him and cared about him.
When he entered high school, girls would always try to get close to him and flirt with him. He was athletic, good-looking, cool, calm and collected. Well, with Natsu, that's a different story. Despite their pointless fights, Natsu was one of his best friends. And when he met Lucy, she looked like a nice and sweet person and didn't treat him like all the other girls did, them being all clingy and wanting his attention. Mira and Lisanna were also good friends of his, who treated him like a normal person. So yeah, he had a few girls that he considered them good friends.
Then there was Juvia...
She was, to say, different than all the girls he met. She was a sweet and very shy girl, when he would get close to her, she would stutter and a dark blush would appear on her cheeks and he had to admit it was cute. Her blue eyes would always sparkle and a big smile would always appear on her face everytime she saw him, as if he made her the happiest person in the world with just his presence. And it would make his heart flutter everytime she smiled at him genuinely. And whenever she was nervous, she would look down at her hands and play with her fingers. She wasn't clingy or flirty, she was just sweet and shy Juvia. And he admired her a lot.
He didn't know how, but he was glad he met Juvia.
His thoughts were interrupted when he felt someone poking his arm. He looked at the person who was smiling at him innocently...well too innocently.
" Admiring Juvia, aren't you? " Mira still had that oh-so-innocent smile on her face, which creeped out Gray a bit.
He cleared his throat and said " Well, yeah, I mean she is my girlfriend, after all, why wouldn't I? Can't I be happy for once? "
Mira only laughed and patted his shoulder. " Of course you can! I've just never seen you look so happy before! I'm really happy for you two! "
" Don't look at her too much, Gray, we'd think you were undressing her with your eyes. " Cana, who was standing next to Mira, snickered when Gray tried to give her a death glare, but failing because his face was as scarlet as Erza's hair. Mira put a hand over her mouth and giggled.
" You're sick, Cana. " he growled.
Cana raised an eyebrow in amusement. " Oh, so you're not denying it? "
" Wha-! No, get those perverted thoughts out of your thick drunk head! "
" Excuse me?! Says the one who was looking at his girlfriend, as if she was a delicious meal! "
Mira, seeing that things were getting out of hand quickly, decided to butt in. " Come on, guys, we are supposed to have fun together! Do you want Juvia and Erza to hear you guys fight? "
That immediately made Gray's mouth shut. Now Mira had a point. If that were to happen, Juvia would probably think he was some sick pervert (he made a mental note to kill Cana later) and Erza would with no doubt chop him to pieces. He shuddered at the thought of that. He looked around, trying to find them, but they were nowhere in sight.
" Now that you mentioned them, where are they? "
" Over there. " When Gray turned around to see where Cana was pointing with her chin, he saw them at a game stand. They quickly walked to them and saw Erza paying the guy, who was in charge of the stand, and the guy was about to give her three balls, when Erza held her hand to stop him.
" I will need one ball, thank you. " she kindly said. The guy only blinked at her before shrugging his shoulders.
" If you say so, miss. Good luck. " he told her and moved out of her way so he won't get hit. In front of her were cans of soda that were placed on top of each other, four at the bottom, three on top etc., resembling a pyramid.
" Is she gonna knock out all those cans with one hit? " Gray asked in curiosity, standing next to Juvia. Juvia, in return, nodded her head.
" Erza's got good aim, she never misses her targets. " They watch as Erza concentrated on her targets with her left eye closed. After that, she gripped the ball tight in her hand, and with all her might threw the ball and successfully knocked out all the cans. Juvia, Mira and Cana clapped their hands and smiled, Gray was shocked, but he soon joined the clapping and they all congratulated her. The man's eyes were wide open and he stood there, dumbfounded. He blinked a few times and looked at Erza, who had her arms crossed around her chest, a proud smile on her face.
" C-congratulations, young lady. Uh, choose your prize! " he stuttered and gestured towards the prizes hanging above their heads.
" Thank you, sir. I would like.. that one! " she pointed with her chin and when the man went to grab it and then give it to Erza, she turned towards her friends with the prize in her hands, revealing to be...a strawberry cake plush.
" What? " Erza asked offended as her friends were giving her shocked and weird looks. " Is it my fault that I am cursed for loving strawberry cakes? I mean, it looks so cute, it even has a smiley face! "
" I'm actually surprised they have plushies like these! But you're right, it looks adorable! " Mira agreed and smiled brightly.
Juvia looked around and saw Gray paying the same guy and this time instead of balls, he gave Gray ten darts.
Juvia walked towards him and asked " Are you gonna try as well? "
Gray smiled at her. " Yeah, decided to give it a shot. " he then winked at her, making her blush and bite her lip, and Gray found that to be adorable.
" All I have to do is pop ten ballons. " he explained, and just like Erza, he also had a good aim, and once he had his targets in his mind, he threw the darts, one by one, popping all ten ballons. Juvia's eyes were wide in astonishment and she had the biggest smile on her face that could bright the whole world. The man had the same expression on his face when Erza knocked out the cans with one ball. He once again, stuttered and congratulated Gray.
" That was amazing, Gray! " Mira clapped her hands and smiled.
" Wait to go, lover boy! " Cana smirked.
" Very impressive! " Erza complimented him.
Gray smiled and thanked them all. He picked his prize and the man handed him a white octopus with a red heart on the right side of its head. Like Erza's plush, it also had a smiley face. A while ago he caught Juvia admiring it and he thought it was cute as well.
He turned to her and gave the plush to her. " For you. " Juvia, speechless, took it in her hands, it was fluffy and it felt so soft she couldn't help but hug it tight. She then looked at Gray with so much love and respect for this man, she couldn't be happier than she was now. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.
" Thank you, thank you soo much, Gray! Juvia is soo happy! " she buried her face in his neck and Gray immediately wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him, enjoying her scent of strawberries and chocolate. Mira awwed with her hands clapped together, Erza smiled brightly and blushed and Cana crossed her arms and grinned at the happy couple.
When they pulled away, Gray gave her a look of adoration. " Anything for you, Juvia. " He then softly kissed her lips.
Oh my god, I apologise for making you wait for so long, I mean it's been like, a year since I've updated! Why am I so lazy...wait, did I just say that? No, I mean *sign* I give up, too lazy to make up an excuse..darn it!.. but please don't hate me.
