This story is about Meowth working with a different partner instead of working with Jessie and James. I don't own pokemon.
Meeting Ash and Misty
Meredith and Meowth had made it to a forest outside of Pallet Town. "Why are we in this forest and not in Viridian Forest?" asked Meowth. "I heard a big flock of Spearow live here and Spearow will be perfect for Team Rocket" answered Meredith. Meowth understood. Meredith took out a pokeball and released an Electabuzz. "That's pretty cool to have an Electabuzz" said Meowth. Meredith had other pokemon besides Electabuzz; she had a Gyarados, Magmar, Scyther, Machamp, Gengar and Rhydon. Despite she had to pretend to be a fifteen year old pokemon trainer Giovanni pulled some strings to allow her to have more than six pokemon.
Just as Meredith, Electabuzz and Meowth were walking through they noticed a big flock of Spearow in the sky. "Wow look at all them" said Meowth. From how they are flying fast like that, I reckon somebody has upset them" said Meredith. She ordered Electabuzz to fire thunderbolt at the sky, which it did. The Spearows saw the thunderbolt, noticed the trio and flew straight towards them. "Here they come" said Meowth, feeling scared. Meredith calmly told Electabuzz to use thunder and Electabuzz's thunder attack shocked all the Spearows. Once the Spearows fell to the ground Meredith caught them all. "You're good Meredith" said Meowth. "I've had a lot of practice with pokemon battling" said Meredith.
After catching the flock of Spearow Meredith and Meowth calmly made their way into Viridian City. Meredith was dressed in normal clothes and Meowth pretended to be a normal Meowth. They passed an Officer Jenny who was patrolling and Meredith passed her pokedex for ID. Of course it fooled Officer Jenny since it didn't reveal her real name and identity.
Just then a boy with a hurt Pikachu riding on a bike hastily entered the city and quickly asked Officer Jenny where the pokemon center was. Meredith saw the hurt Pikachu. "Come with me," said Meredith "I know where it is". Thanks to Meredith Ash came to the pokemon center and Pikachu got treated by Nurse Joy. Meredith introduced herself as Mary to Ash, since she didn't want any trainer know who she really was. "So Ash what happened to that Pikachu?" she asked. Ash explained they were attacked by a flock of Spearow. "Mind you it was my fault really, because I threw a rock at one of them to weaken it". Meredith made a face. 'Pathetic' she thought. She could see Ash was a new beginner and was an absolute rookie.
Suddenly a girl with red hair shouted "There you are!" She demanded where her bike was to Ash. "Keep it down would ya you're disturbing everyone here, and you're bike is outside all parked for you" said Meredith. The girl went to see her bike and was glad to see it was still okay. The girl thanked Meredith and introduced herself as Misty. While Ash waited for Pikachu to heal Meredith spoke with Misty. "Are you Misty of the Cerulean Gym?" she asked. Misty was surprised Meredith knew about her. "Are you battling the gyms Mary?" asked Misty. "No I'm just traveling to see what to do," answered Meredith "you better be careful with Ash. He is a real amateur rookie". "I know that already" said Misty. Meredith felt Ash was going to have a hell of a time while travelling.
After talking to Misty, Meredith and Meowth were in a room. She was calling Team Rocket Headquarters about her catch of Spearow flock and was asking someone to come and get them and send her more empty pokeballs. She was keeping one of the Spearows for herself. "I can't believe that kid threw a rock at a Spearow; everyone knows it's not a good idea to make a Spearow mad" said Meowth. "When it comes to beginner trainers Meowth, you can get those who do stupid stunts," said Meredith "I've seen plenty of pathetic rookies in my time".
Suddenly there was an explosion coming from the entrance of the center. "What was that?! gasped Meowth. He and Meredith went to see what was happening. A magenta haired woman and a lavender haired man was in the center. 'That's Jessie and James,' thought Meredith 'what are they doing here?' She and Meowth hid out of sight. Jessie commanded Nurse Joy to hand over the pokemon, but Nurse Joy tried to tell them that there were only weak pokemon here. Jessie and James took no notice. "What shall we do Meredith?" whispered Meowth. "I can't let those two see me here because they'll just blabber out who I am," whispered Meredith "so I'll have to deal with them". She took out a purple scarf to cover her hair and put on black sunglasses; this was a disguise she used to keep herself unknown by other rocket agents. Then she came out of hiding and defeated Jessie and James with her Electabuzz. Just then Ash's Pikachu and Nurse Joy's Pikachus came out and sent the duo away with thundershock.
Nurse Joy was grateful to Meredith; Meredith took of her disguise as soon Jessie and James left. "I thank you Mary" said Nurse Joy. "Think nothing of it," said Meredith, acting all innocent, "glad to see those two are gone".
Meredith and Meowth went back to their room to sleep for the night. "Won't those two Jessie and James?" sked Meowth "I saw them once". "It's best you don't hang around those two Meowth;" said Meredith "Jessie and James are the stupidest agents in all of Team Rocket and they are real cowards. Not to mention they don't really think before they do things. I'm surprised the boss is still keeping them". 'If they're stupid then it's a good thing the boss paired me with Meredith' thought Meowth.
Next day Meredith was giving a Pidgeot a bag filled with the pokeballs she caught the Spearow flock with. This Pidgeot was from headquarters. "Take great care of that you hear?" Meredith warned Pidgeot. Pidgeot flew away back to headquarters. "Come on Meowth, it's time to head into Viridian Forest". "Righto" said Meowth. The duo left the city for the forest.
To make sure everyone understands; no one not even Ash Misty and Brock will find out she's a rocket agent. She goes by the name Mary to everyone while disguised as a normal pokemon trainer. The time when Mary catches the Spearow Flock is after Ash falls into the lake, so Misty's bike doesn't get destroyed in this story but she will still travel with him. I'm going to make some other differences to what happened in the anime like this.
