This story is about Meowth working with a different partner instead of working with Jessie and James. I don't own pokemon.
The Squirtle Squad
Sometime after capturing pokemon in Cerulean Cave, Meredith and Meowth came to a town. Meredith checked in the pokemon center and then she and Meowth went to the café area for some lunch. While eating they heard some people talking about some Squirtles called the Squirtle Squad running amuck in town. "Squirtles causing trouble?" said Meowth. Meredith went over to the people and asked them about the Squirtles. Apparently the Squirtles were all deserted by their pokemon trainers so now they go around town playing horrible pranks and steal food from people. Meredith became interested by this.
"Are we going to catch the Squirtle Squad for the boss?" asked Meowth. "No; the boss has already got lots of Bulbasaurs, Charmanders and Squirtles," said Meredith "I wish to catch a Squirtle for myself. I never got Squirtle, Charmander or Bulbasaur as a starter pokemon. I got my Machamp as a starter when it was a Machop. But now I can get one of the kanto starter pokemon for myself". "Got you" said Meowth.
Meredith sat down on a bench in a park, pretending to read a book peacefully. Meowth was playing with a ball. Meredith's plan was to pretending to just enjoying the peace and wait for the Squirtle Squad to turn up. It wasn't long till a Squirtle, wearing circular glasses, came up. Squirtle was just about to soak Meredith, when suddenly it was lifted into the air. "Sorry Squirtle," said Meredith "but your pranking days are now over". This was another part of Meredith's plan. She sneakily hid her Kadabra behind a tree and she told Kadabra to use confusion when Squirtle came. "Psybeam Kadabra" said Meredith. Kadabra struck Squirtle with psybeam and Squirtle fainted. Then Meredith took out a pokeball and caught Squirtle. "Nice job there Meredith" said Meowth. "Finally my own Squirtle" smiled Meredith.
Meredith went to Officer Jenny, in her disguised form, and told her about capturing Squirtle. "I hope you don't mind me capturing of the Squirtle Squad members officer" said Meredith. "Not at all Mary" said Officer Jenny "having somebody to care for Squirtle is what I want and for all the other members. Please take good care of Squirtle Mary". "Don't you worry Officer, I've always wanted a Squirtle" said Meredith. Officer Jenny was happy to hear that.
A few days later Meredith saw in a newspaper about the rest of the Squirtle Squad putting out a forest fire caused by Team Rocket, and then becoming the town's fire fighters. The newspaper also talked about Ash capturing the leader. "Wow so the Squirtle Squad is no longer a troublesome gang," said Meredith "it's a good thing I caught my own Squirtle in time". Meowth agreed and he was happy the Squirtles finally had somebody to care for them; he felt that way because Meredith cared for him more than anybody.
I decided to have Meredith encounter the Squirtle Squad before the gang encounters it. Meredith will get her own Charmander and Bulbasaur. She'll also get the other starter pokemon.
