Hey anyone still reading this story, thanks for sticking around. I do want to give this story the ending it deserves once and for all. I just finished re-reading it myself to reacquaint and avoid any major plot holes. Enjoy.

It was very late at the Taisho mansion, the maids had called in for the evening. The only thing that could be heard was the light click of InuTaisho's work shoes as he made his way to his office. The mansion felt barren after the boys had moved out. He missed the fighting between the two brothers and the giggles when they had friends over. His clawed hand clasped over the handle to his office and swung it open lightly. Right away something caught his attention. There was something different about the room. His breath was caught in his throat as he gazed above his desk at the empty display shelf that once perched his old sword from the feudal era.

"My poor son, just what are you up to?"

InuYasha gave no time for Akira to greet him with the police. According to Miroku, Kagome had went to the bathroom when they were at the community park. Sango went to go check on her and found that she had vanished. Several calls and a stop by her apartment later, they found their only option left was to call the police. InuYasha tried to piece the puzzle together in his head as he ran at demon speed back to where Kagome was last seen. The park was quiet now, except for the chirping of lonesome crickets. InuYasha inspected all the stales in the restroom, trying to find any sort of clue. At the corner of his eye he saw a faint shimmer on the ground. The sight almost tore his heart into two.

"Kagome's necklace." He said out loud to himself in a whisper. So it was true, his dear friend really had been taken by someone. Kagome would never abandon her friends. He punched one of the stall doors cring out in frustration, feeling helpless. This wasn't how his homecoming was supposed to go. He was supposed to surprise Kagome, like in those heart-wrenching videos posted online. He was going to pick her up and spin her across the room planting a passionate kiss on her. His eyes started to well up in tears. He couldn't remember the last time he had shed tears for someone. Every memory of them together began to surface in that very moment. His heart seemed to be beating a thousand times a second. He barely mustered up enough strength to answer his cell phone that had been ringing for quite some time now. He cleared his throat and answered.

"whelp." Said the other line.

"Sesshoumaru?"

"You still don't have my number saved into your phone? I'm offended."

"What do you want? I'm a little busy." InuYasha gritted through his teeth.

"Oh nothing. I'm just here with someone right now that might know where your beloved is."

"Would you like some more tea, Kaede?" Sesshoumaru offered, hanging up his landline settled right beside his sofa chair. Kaede, appearing slightly older than Souta or Kohaku gripped her tea cup just below her nose and shook her head. She was seated across from Sesshoumaru in his lovely beach home. His three newborn children were already put to bed for the night. Bundled tightly together side by side in the same crib. One out of the three of them slightly resembled him but the other two took more after Rin.

Rin, already lathered up in lotions and creams from her beauty regimens for the night, wrapped his silk robe around her body tightly and sat beside her husband. She seemed to be a little oblivious to the situation at hand but then again, that was her most of the time anyways. Sesshoumaru poured Kaede her drink before fishing the letter off the coffee table that his guest had brought him. He had read it three times over, it was a ransom note stating that they had Kikyo in possession. Kaede didn't know who to turn to, her parents didn't have that kind of money laying around. She just happened to come across Sesshoumaru's number in her contact list from when her sister was dating his brother.

"My parents and I haven't seen Kikyo for the past 4 months. We believe she fled the country. Running from whoever was after her." Kaede pointed down to the letter. "She's only ever called once to let us know that she was well. There's no way they have had her for that long and are just barely sending a ransom note. It doesn't add up."

The three of them sat in silence, pondering on just what exactly was happening. In any other situation, Rin would be freaking out, but the calmness of Sesshomaru helped eased her mind. She knew that he had this figured out in some way or another and that her hopefully soon to be sister in law would be fine. Their thoughts were interrupted by the soft cries coming from the nursery room. Rin winced and smashed her head back against the sofa in defeat. If one woke up, the other two were bond to join in shortly. It had taken her almost two hours to get all three of them to get even a little tired and to go to bed finally. Sesshoumaru began to get up and cupped her face.

"Don't worry, I got it. You should get some sleep."

Sesshoumaru disappeared into the nursery leaving the two women alone in the living room. They were waiting on InuYasha to drop by.

"So, is there possibly a third Taisho I could get my hands on or….?" Kaede lingered, trying to lighten the mood a little bit.

InuYasha arrived shortly after Sesshomaru finished nulling the babies back to sleep. The letter was clutched in his hand tightly. His father's sword was sheathed beside his hip. He didn't know what kind of trouble he was getting in without getting the police involved but Sesshomaru thought it was best to keep everything low.

"This is the same fucker that the government has been after this whole time? It's one youkai behind all of this?"

"One mastermind with god only knows how many followers." Kaede added. "Sesshoumaru showed me a picture of Kagome. Its insane how much they resemble one another. I wish I knew what kind of trouble she got herself into."

"So we just go to the address he provided, tell him Kagome isn't the person he is looking for and then we go home. Easy." Rin shrugged with a smile.

"It's not that simple, love." Sesshoumaru chimed in, ascending from the basement with his own sword at his hip. Rin got up in protest and placed her hands on her husband's chest, searching his face desperately for an answer.

"Sesshy, you can't do this! We need police as backup." She begged. InuYasha took that as his cue to get up as well.

"You stay here with Kaede and keep her safe until we return. If you need any help please don't hesitate to call Izayoi." Rin bowed her head in defeat, wrapped her arms around Sesshomaru.

"Lets go get your girl." Sesshomaru stated confidently. He's been waiting for the day to unleash his full potential as a full-fledged demon.
