GrimmFall: Toonami Rebirth

Episode 2

TOM made it to hangar, stopping at the switch next to the door and manually opening the doors. His jetpack blasted him off the ground and towards the bay doors as they opened. Once he was out in space he swooped around the Absolution, spotting his target.

"SARA, I see the engines up ahead." TOM said, flying towards the engine and finding the emergency airlock at the rear end of the ship, directly below the engine room.

"What are you planning?" SARA asked as TOM opened the airlock.

"I'm in. Now all I need to do is shut down the hyperdrive." TOM answered, re-entering the ship and closing the airlock. "If I can take the power off-line he won't be able to do anything with the ship."

"Not a bad idea, TOM!" Control Freak suddenly spoke, surprising both TOM and SARA. "Too bad I already thought ahead and locked you and SARA out of the engine's systems."

"Good thing I wasn't going for that." TOM replied, walking past the engine computer and over towards the coolant system.

"What are you-"

TOM pulled out a blaster and aimed at the coolant tanks, blasting them open and releasing the coolant gas across the engine room, freezing the main reactor and the computer system.

"NO!" Control Freak shouted. "You're freezing the system!"

"Yep." TOM moved to the exit as the doors opened, saving himself from being frozen. "SARA, how are we doing?"

"The coolant gas is freezing the systems and forcing them to shut down. The engines are losing power." SARA reported.

"Meaning, Control Freak that you can't hijack the ship." TOM said smugly, looking up at the ceiling. "And you can't use it to go wherever you are going."

"Clever, TOM. But I can still open a portal with what I have. I hope you enjoy the ride!" Control Freak cackled before closing the channel.

"SARA, what is he talking about?" TOM asked, having a bad feeling.

"Hang on…" SARA said, scanning the ship. "He's rerouting part to the thrusters and he…The wormhole is opening!"

In front of the Absolution the wormhole appeared in a flash bright multi-colored lights that would have been beautiful to see if anyone was paying attention.

"But the engines are out!" TOM said, racing down the hall.

"He's taking all remaining power and-" SARA was cut off as the ship lost gravity, causing TOM to float off the ground.

"Oh great." TOM muttered, quickly magnetizing himself to the floor. "Can anything else go wrong?"

"I'm afraid so. He's trying to bring the engines back online by taking power from other systems and he's got enough for one jump." SARA reported before alarm klaxons rang. "He's taking us in!"

"And we don't have shields on do we?" TOM asked, dreading the answer.

The Absolution entered the wormhole and without the artificial gravity the entire ship shook as it fell into the glowing tunnel.

TOM watched as a bright light appeared at the end of the tunnel. "SSSSSSSSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

The light engulfed him…

And he then he fell back into what felt like eternity.

Falling…

That's what I feel in the beginning.

Distant voices ringing inside my head or my CPU if you want to be technical.

I can't feel anything anymore other the feeling of falling through the long tunnel I saw for a second and then…

I see everything.

From the moment I was created.

To the times I was destroyed.

And the times I will be destroyed.

I see worlds and stars born and die, only to be born again.

"TOM?"

I look up and see her, having a body of her own and looking completely real. "SARA."

She never looked as beautiful as she did now.

I hold out my hand…

And stop as I see it.

I look like my first body, TOM 1 before it was destroyed by the Intruder.

I then morph into my second body that was destroyed by Orcelot.

And finally back into my third and current form.

I look up as SARA appears before me, holding out her arms to embrace me.

I reach out to her and just as we embrace each other there is another bright light.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

I look, seeing that idiot who took over my ship. "CONTROL FREAK?!"

He was now a giant, towering over me. "MAN THIS IS TOO GOOD! I FORGOT THE SHIELDS WERE DOWN SO WE WEREN'T PROTECTED WHEN WE PASSED THROUGH!"

"What is happening, you maniac?!" I shouted.

"Isn't it obvious? We are in a point where time, space and matter all come together! You and SARA both must have a real consciousness to be affected like this for our minds to be merged together like this." The idiot threw his head back, laughing even more like a maniac than before. "Guess we're stuck with each for an eternity before we come out of the wormhole which will be like in a second!"

"No way. I am not spending an eternity with you." I said, refusing to believe I had done something so wrong the universe would make me spend an eternity with him as punishment. "If we have to spend an eternity together be ready for a beat down for eternity."

Control Freak just laughed. "Okay!"

What happened next was too fast for me to even try to remember.

We fought for eternity but the idiot treated it like a game through it all.

Fighting in space with giant robots.

Fighting with laser beam swords that were epic, not that I admitted out loud.

Becoming giant monsters and destroying entire planets as we fought.

We were everything.

We fought and killed each other over a million times.

It didn't matter if we knew this or not.

I just wanted to make him pay for everything he put us through.

It is exactly what he said.

We became Time, Reality and Space in a moment that lasted eternity.

Then it was finally over.
