War,

"I'm only here to push,

The rest is all you.

You hardly need an excuse

To go at each other's throats.

I add one ingredient to the mix,

Fear or pain or prejudice,

And I can sit back and relax

While you all do the rest.

All you need is a reason, logical or not,

And you will destroy yourselves

In an instant.

Scary for you to realize this now?

But all that I will have done,

Is bring to the surface what was always there."

Famine,

"You assume I'm all about food,

That I will take it away

And you will starve.

This isn't quite the case.

I make your hunger surface in a

Dramatic way

I heighten your hunger

For whatever you are hungry for.

You will not starve, no.

You greedy creatures will become so hungry,

That you stop at nothing to satisfy yourself,

You will binge and endure the consequences.

And all that I will have done,

Is bring to the surface what was always there."

Pestilence,

"It's funny how weak you all are,

How precise everything must be

For you to remain healthy.

It's funny how when one thing goes wrong,

Your whole system can collapse.

And yet, the causes are everywhere.

You live in a world where there is always

A potential for sickness.

All I have to do is shut one thing down,

Or allow something to pass through,

And your entire body can crash

Your weak bodies fail you.

And all I will have had to do, is change

One variable that could have always been there

Death,

"How would you like to have my job for a day?

Every day I must make thousands of people die.

Children and adults of all race, religion and culture.

Not only do I watch them all die,

I am the reason.

If I don't, the natural order is disrupted.

Sure it would seem kinder to let that dying child live,

But what are the consequences?

Because she was never meant to live,

Chaos and destruction follow her throughout her life.

Yes, it is for the greater good of you ignorant creatures,

That she should perish.

But with my job, I can see the aftermath, all of the pain.

I am what is, will and was always here.
