AN: So first of all: This is not a chapter. Sorry, guys. I solemnly swear that I am hard at work making Chapter 18 the best installment yet, but it's taking a while.
One of the reviewers, a guest, commented that the story, while certainly enjoyable (thanks!), tends to get confusing, because there's so many characters and places and everything.
Your illustrious author must take some of the blame for this, because he is an idiot who cannot keep his characters' last names straight.
But anyhow, I decided I would make a little character guide type thing, so everyone can keep everyone straight. This will definitely include where everyone is in the story, up to and including Chapter 17. Hopefully this will tide ya'll over and convince you that I'm not like dead or anything.
I own the rights to none of these excellent songs.
Praetor Percy Jackson: Your intrepid hero and favorite son of the sea god is currently at Mt. Olympus, Greece, where he is a top commander in the Greek-Roman army and training under his father to enhance his water powers.
His theme song is "Orca- Instrumental" by Deadmau5.
Annabeth Chase: Percy's number one girl is also in Greece, where she is helping him train.
Her theme song is "Springsteen", by Eric Church.
Jesse Fairway: This young son of Hermes, hailing from Sterling, Georgia, and trained at Camp Half Blood, is the main character. He is now almost fourteen, and a good fighter, though not generally a very aggressive one. He is well liked by almost everyone, despite his slightly shy demeanor. His weapon of choice is his sword, Cutter. He first appeared in Chapter One, Arrival/The Beetle Scheme.
Jesse is currently in Rio de Janeiro, where he is he helping track down the Doorway pieces for Hades.
His theme song is "You Rascal You" by Louis Armstrong.
Amanda Brooks: Amanda, daughter of Apollo, a fourteen-year-old from a small town in Tennessee, and Jesse's bestie, arrived at Camp with him at the beginning of the story. She is a fierce fighter with an intimidating reputation, even among older demigods. Amanda first appeared in Chapter One, Arrival/The Beetle Scheme
Amanda is doing her best to stay alive in the streets of Rio. Unfortunately, there are a lot of assorted bad guys who would like to change that.
Her theme song is "Where the Green Grass Grows" by Tim McGraw.
Travis and Connor Stoll: The leaders of Hermes cabin, and Jesse's big brothers, are making mischief in Greece, much to Percy's exasperation and Katie's annoyance.
Their theme song is "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones.
Steven Rust: an eighteen- year old son of Aeolus with a shady past, representing Durango, Colorado, he is both a camper and a mid-level member of Echelon, a top-secret organization that answers only to the Olympians. He is very strong, though Percy and Clarisse, at least, are both said to be stronger than him. He loves weapons, but the most coveted piece in his collection is the extremely powerful sword he named Carinae's Fire. He first appeared in Chapter Two, Tuesdays Suck/Shadow Traveling Blues.
When we last saw Steven, things weren't looking good: a massive mob of monsters was closing in on him and his friends.
His theme song is "Seven Devils" by Florence + the Machine.
Ana Massri: a daughter of Gaea and the commander of the army opposing the Greeks and Romans. She is nineteen and from Alexandria, Egypt, though her father brought her to London when she was a preteen. Her weapon of choice is a long spear with a distinctive seagull feather tied to the haft. Her level of strength is unknown, but she wields a large amount of power among her fellow children of Gaea, so she probably isn't weak. She first appeared in Chapter Ten, Black Ops/Standoff.
Her theme song is "Slow and Steady" by Of Monsters and Men.
Nico di Angelo: Having been rescued from his captivity at the hands of Gaea, Nico is trekking about with Steven Rust and company in Brazil. His theme song is "The Darkest Nights" by As I Lay Dying.
Gardner Peck: a fifteen- year old son of Asclepius, god of medicine, Mr. Peck (You can't call him Gardner. He's not your friend.) is much more skilled at administration than medicine or fighting. He first appeared in Chapter Four, Conspiracies/Acceptable Lovin'.

After the death of his brother Pollux at the Battle of New York, he devoted himself to his friends and his younger sister, Lydia. His theme song is "These Boots," By Eric Church.
Vincent "Vinnie" and Kara Corleano: These twin children of Apollo, fifteen years old, and the kids of Italian immigrants in Providence, are well-known sights around Camp Half-Blood. They are each others constant companions and best friends, even though they are polar opposites: Kara is talkative and outgoing, while Vinnie is quiet and usually too absorbed in a book to really socialize with people, an unusual trait for a child of the Sun god. If there's one thing they both really love, it's music, playing it or writing it. They first appeared in Chapter One, Arrival/The Beetle Scheme.
Vinnie and Kara are part of the Greek-Roman Army at Mt. Olympus.
Their theme songs are Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C. Minor (Vinnie) and "You Belong With Me," by Taylor Swift (Kara).
Praetor Jason Grace: The son of Jupiter is enjoying the days leading up to the Demigod-Giant battle at Mt. Olympus as best as he can, while trying to sneak in as much training as he can. Although it's weird having three Praetors, most of the legionnaires have pretty much shrugged and accepted it.
His theme song is "Trojans" by Atlas Genius.
Drew Tanaka: The former head of Aphrodite cabin has changed a lot since the arrival of Jason, Piper, and Leo at Camp Half-Blood, to the great delight of her fellow campers. Although her temper is still razor-sharp and wild, Drew seems much more mellow and easy-going then before. Some attribute this shift to her boyfriend, Steven Rust, though others wonder how this could be, since he's much more bloodthirsty and unpredictable than Drew at her worst. Her prefered weapon is her fists.
Drew is helping Rust, Nico di Angelo, Danny Hemingway, Amanda Brooks, Jesse Fairway, Jacob Van Isaac, and Lily Mérida find the pieces of the Doorway artifact.
Her theme song is "Halo" by Beyonce.

He joined the Twelfth Legion at an older age than most kids, and is still only a legionaire, even though most other his age are officers. Jacob's preferred weapon is his longbow. He joined the quest for the Doorway with his best friend, Lily, at the request of Praetor Reyna.
His theme song is "Make Her Say" by Kid Cudi feat. Kanye West and Common.
Dannielle "Danny" Hemingway: a fifteen-year-old daughter of Ares from Columbus, Ohio. Don't call her by her full name unless you're quite tired of being alive.
