"Now ladies, gentlemen, fangbangers, teacup humans and vampires, I want to present to you all Mr. and Mrs. Northman. And on behalf of my maker and his new wife, I want to thank everyone for turning out tonight, and may I now also introduce to you, the grandmother of the bride Adele Stackhouse" Pam said, holding her hand out towards Gran, who then stood up just as Pam cast her very own version of a smile upon everyone, amongst the claps and cheers of everyone else around us.

"Now, as Pamela has already said, I would like to thank each and every single one of you for coming here tonight to celebrate and to witness the union of my very much beloved granddaughter Sookie and her vampire, Eric" Gran started, and here I lifted Sookie's hand off of my lap, before giving it a peck with my lips.

"I love you" I whispered, as though she had somehow forgotten it since the last time that I had told her.

"I love you too" she whispered, and then laid her head down on top of my shoulder while still keeping a tight hold of my hand.

"And even though the majority of you all here tonight already know this, I am going to say it again for those that don't. When Sookie was eight years old, and her brother Jason was just a little bit older, both of their parents tragically passed away and I became their legal guardian, a parental figure to the both of them, even though I knew that some how and in some way, I would eventually have to give you away. And I figured that if I was lucky enough, you would be able to find someone special, just like what I did with your grandfather, and like what your father had with your mother. And Sookie, you did. You found your Mitchell. I know that your parents would have been so proud of you, Sookie if they could have seen everything that you have achieved and everything that you have somehow managed to overcome in your short life" Gran continued, and then turned around to face us with tears in her eyes.

"And just before I hand proceedings back over to Pam for what I am sure is going to be one hell of an amusing speech, I just want to ask you all to raise a glass of whatever it is that you may be drinking in a toast of good health to the bride and the groom" Gran said, and everyone did as she asked.

"To good health" the whole crowd shouted.

"Also, and this really is the last thing here, I promise. I would just like to say that Eric, even though you are over one thousand years old and a vampire but if you ever do anything to hurt my granddaughter, you are not too big or too old for me to put you right across my knee and give you an ass whoopin that you are not ever going to forget" Gran said, before she sat down.

I did not doubt her threat for one second.

And, yes I really was completely and totally afraid of Gran. Even though she was an elderly retired woman.

Pam then stood back up again amongst all of the laughter of our wedding guests.

"Eric, since I want to see Gran giving you an ass whoopin', I dare you to do something on Sookie" Pam grinned, and that caused another chuckle from the rest of the audience. "And now we have the chief bridesmaid herself, Lafayette Reynolds."

"Now once again, I's don't really wants to say too much here before Eric makes his speech and says whatever it is that he needs to say, but I have known Sooks here since we was little kids and some of the rich kids in the school playground began picking on me, and Sookie puts her great big personality right in the middle of the whole entire situation and basically tells them to fuck off" Lafayette said, and then paused to take a breath.

"After that we became the three Stoogies – Tara, Sooks and me, and to this very day we are still best friends. Most of the time. But Sooks if you ever gets bored of yo' hot sexy piece of meat over there, I am all ready and waiting for him" he finished, and then sat down.

It was now my turn, and I was feeling now almost nervous than what I had been earlier on, and that really was saying something.

"Lala, as much as I appreciate the offer, Sookie is mine and I don't ever plan on letting her go. Not now and certainly not ever" I said, to which there was a loud "Aww!" that came collectively from the rest of our wedding guests.

"Now, my lover. And everyone else here present, we all know here just how much that I love my wife but I want to start off my very short speech by saying that I love you, Sookie Northman" I said and then I dipped my head down to give my beautiful wife another peck on the lips before continuing.

"And my lover, I can exactly pinpoint just when I began to fall in love with you. It was right from the very first moment that I laid my eyes on you that night at the bar. Although whenever I found out that you had come into Fangtasia on the arm of Bill Compton, that I really was jealous. For a lack of a better term. But then you did agree to be mine, and we were able to build our own lives together, as partners, lovers and now in marriage. I am yours, Sookie" I said, before sitting back down into my seat.

It was now time for Pam's speech, and by hell this should be a good one.
