So, everyone here we finally get to hear Pam's speech….. And for those that are interested, the song is called "Lay Down Beside Me", and is by Nathan Carter, but originally by Don Williams.

"Now, Eric. Over the past hundred plus years you and I have had together, we have been through pretty much everything. I have seen you happy, sad, pleased, smug, lucky, sad, angry, tearful, on the edge, fearful, nervous, full of pride, in shock, in need of an ego boost and in need of a real tongue bashing. And of course I have been a witness and even carried them out on many of an occasion. However, ever since I have known the maker, and have had the pleasure of being his childe, I have never ever witnessed him in love. Well, until he met his new wife, Sookie. And I will admit that in the beginning I was unsure. I thought that Sookie really wasn't good enough for my maker, but just because she was a human because at the time, nobody was ever going to be good enough, in my eyes. Anyway, I did think that Sookie would eventually drain my maker dry both emotionally and financially. And now I am not ashamed in the slightest to admit that I was wrong. Sookie is one hundred per cent perfect for Eric. They are both perfect for each other" Pam said, and that she sat straight back down.

Next it was time for the wedding dinner to be served, and as the first course Eric and I had chosen to have the vegetable and chicken soup, along with the same flavour of synthetic blood for all of the vampires. We had also opted for streaks as our main course, and finally for the desert we had the wedding cake, which was split between plain sponge, chocolate and fruit as well as the similar synthetic blood for the vampires.

And then before I knew it, it was time for Eric and I to share our first dance together as husband and wife.

"Ladies, gentlemen and vampires, I want to present to you Mr and Mrs. Northman, and if I can just ask them to take to the floor for the first dance" the DJ asked, after the room had been transformed for the evening party part of the ceremony.

"Gladly" Eric said, and then he led me to the dance floor, before gathering me up into his arms. I put one of my hands on his chest, and the other one I wrapped tightly around his neck. Eric and I were also looking at each other directly in the eyes as the music began, and we started to move, a slow and gentle sway to the rhythm of the music.

As we danced, I was able to hear the faint clicks of the cameras going off all around us, as well as seeing all of the bright flashes.

"Do you really want to give them something to take pictures of my lover?" Eric questioned, with a cheeky glint in his eyes.

"of course" I replied, with a slight smile of my own before Eric so gracefully lowered his head to my own and he managed to connect his lips with mine for a few short seconds before he began to use his human teeth (as I liked to refer to them as), to nibble and suck at my lower lip, and then I granted him access in order to allow his long slender tongue to slide into my mouth.

And it did, much to the complete and utter delight of the rest of our wedding guests, but then the song was over and it was time for the two of us to schmooze away with our guests for the next few hours.

Although, that said, all I really wanted to do was drag Eric out of the room, and have him fuck me hard and fast until the sun came up, and we would have been forced to stop.

"Lover…as much as I would want nothing more than to be able to do that, we do have to stay here with everyone else. At least for a little while longer. But don't worry, it won't be long until we can be able to get ourselves out of here. And I promise you that I will fulfil each and every single one of your wishes and desires" Eric answered, but before I had any real chance to respond or say anything one of Eric's vampire … friends? came up to us.

"Congratulations, Sherriff. Mrs. Northman" the vampire said, even though I didn't have any sort of a clue about just who exactly this dude was, vampire or not.

I decided I had better just keep my mouth shut, unless I was spoken directly to.
