A One in a Millionth Chance
*This is a Klaine and Blellie story. Weird combination, I know, but I had an idea. It may start out as confusing, but it'll become clearer.
*I don't think that there will be POV's, but it will focus on one of the main 4 characters in each chunk of the story. I might do POV's when something important happens though.
*So, every chapter is going to be titled. The title is going to be based off of a lyric of a song, or song title, that I think fits the chapter.
*This chapter is titled by 'Perfect' by P!nk
.Blaine.
"You guys were great!" Kurt sing songed as Blaine and Nellie walked back over to their table. "I loved the last song!"
"Thank you" Blaine smiled and kissed his boyfriend's cheek. "I'm glad you liked it" Kurt grinned and then nodded his head towards Blake and Nellie, and once Blaine saw the two of them blushing and smiling, he shared a glance with Kurt. "Yeah, they aren't dating at all" Blaine whispered and Kurt chuckled softly.
"Heard that" Blake said and Blaine looked at him innocently
"I have no idea what you're talking about"
"Shut up" Blake said as he pushed his shoulder, causing Blaine to laugh at him. Blaine then turned and looked at Kurt and then his eyes flickered to Nellie.
"Do you guys want to come over to our apartment? It's only 6, so it's not that late"
Nellie and Kurt exchanged glances and then Nellie nodded and smiled at Blaine "Sure, that sounds like fun" Kurt and Blake then took that as a sign to slide out of the booths so the four of them could leave. Kurt slid to the end of the booth and was about to stand up when he felt his phone vibrate from inside his pocket. He gave the other three an apologetic look and then fished his phone out of his pocket, staring down at the text he just received.
"It's Rachel. She said that some of our old Glee Club friends are over at the apartment and they're waiting for me" Kurt looked up at Blaine with another apologetic expression. "You guys are welcome to come with us if you like. Then Nellie won't feel like the odd woman out" Nellie smiled. She had been in this situation a lot, and she usually just stayed in her room, writing songs or going through hr Tumblr.
Blaine looked back at Blake, and his eyes flickered to Nellie and then he nodded quickly. "Yeah, that sounds fun" Blaine smiled
"Great!" Kurt grinned as he stood up and they all started walking towards the door. "Fair warning, Mercedes can also be a diva" Nellie lets out a snort and Kurt glares "And Santana can be a real bitch, and she will most likely say something rude."
/
"Rach! We're back!" Kurt called back as they all entered the apartment. Rachel came rushing out with a large grin, obviously over everything that had happened at the café.
"Kurt- Oh! Great you brought Blaine and Blake!" Rachel grinned and grabbed Kurt's hand. "Mercedes and Santana have been waiting forever!"
"You texted me 10 minutes ago. Up until then I had no idea they were here!" Kurt cried out defensively, as he was pulling into the kitchen, Nellie, Blake, and Blaine following closely behind.
"That's not my fault" Rachel said with a look at him over her shoulder.
"Then whose fault is it?" Kurt shot back. They both heard a groan coming from behind them, but they chose to ignore Nellie. Rachel was about to respond, but a voice cut her off.
"KURT!" A curvy African American cried as she ran over and hugged Kurt tightly.
"Hey, Cedes" Kurt chuckled as he hugged her back. "Haven't seen you in a while"
"I know! It's been so long!" Mercedes pulled away and Santana walked over and smirked at Kurt.
"Hello there, Tweedle Gay"
"Hi Satan, how have you been?" Kurt chuckled and Santana laughed as she hugged him.
"Good, how have you been?" Santana smiled
"Great" Kurt said as they pulled back and he turned towards the other three standing behind him. "Santana, Mercedes, as you know, this is Nellie. Mine and Rachel's old roommate, that moved back in with us a couple weeks ago" Nellie smiled "And then this is her…not boyfriend" Kurt said after Nellie glared at him "Blake, who is also my assistant. And then, this is my boyfriend, Blaine, who is Blake's roommate"
"Oooh, my boo got himself a boyfriend" Mercedes snickered "Well, good for you."
"How do you keep up with how all of you know each other? It's like a social web" Santana commented.
"Well, we got practice. The couples in Glee Club were changing daily" Kurt commented.
"That's true…that's very true" Mercedes smiled "God, that's one thing I do not miss about high school"
/
"You know, I'm glad you guys came over here" Nellie said as she sipped on her water, staring at the two boys that were sitting on the stools across from her. "Every time their Glee Club friends come over, I'm usually bored."
"So, do their friends visit a lot?"
"Some of them do. But others, like Mercedes, don't that often. Santana does sometimes since she lives closer to New York, but Mercedes lives in L.A., so it's a big commute" Nellie explains. "But usually when they come over, they do the same thing"
"What do you mean?" Blake raises an eyebrow.
"I bet you right now, that they're talking about relationships. " Blaine raised an eyebrow as well, confused on how she knew that. "And then, that causes them to slowly transition to their old friends and who there are dating. And then that goes into old memories" Blake and Blaine looked at her in shock "Oh! And then it usually ends with them singing a whole bunch of songs from their Glee Clubs days"
"Is it like that every time?"
"Usually…sometimes they switch it up a little, but usually, it's in that exact order."
"Wow, so, is it entertaining to listen to them sing a lot?"
"It can be…depending on the song…Usually Rachel and Kurt force their friends to do Broadway songs" Nellie rolled their eyes "And I get tired of those ones since the two of them usually walk around singing them all day"
"That's your fault for living with them" Blake teased and Nellie smiled
"I guess you're right" Nellie shrugged, taking another sip of her water. She was about to say something else, when they heard a loud laugh boom through the apartment. "It gets loud…a lot." The two guys in front of her chuckled "Come on; let's go see if they'll sing now. Because, I know Blaine here hasn't heard Kurt sing yet"
"Seriously, dude?" Blake asked his best friend "You have never heard him sing?"
"No…?" Blaine shrugged "Why?"
"He's incredible!" Blake exclaimed and then hopped off of his stool, grabbing Blaine's arm, forcing him to get off his own stool. "Come on, you need to hear him sing, now." Nellie laughed and followed the two boys out of the room. "KURT!" Blake exclaimed as they entered the living room. Kurt looked up and raised an eyebrow at him. "Blaine seriously has never heard you sing?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! White boy! You're boyfriend hasn't heard you sing?!" Mercedes exclaimed loudly.
"Wow, Hummel, I'm shocked."
"As am I" Rachel said as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Am I supposed to have sung in front of him already?" Kurt questioned, giving all of his friends a weird look. "We haven't been dating for that long"
"I do not care!" Rachel shrieked "He should've heard you sing before you even began dating!"
"Excuse me?" Kurt let out a laugh
"What?! You love singing! And performing! I'm surprised you haven't sang any song to him"
"Correction, I used to love singing and performing"
"W-what? I'm sorry I thought you said used" Rachel said dramatically.
"I did" Kurt rolled his eyes and slumped into his chair. "If you all don't remember how my dreams were ripped away from me when NYADA rejected me…" He trailed off
"You still love to sing! You sing all the time!" Nellie jumped in, trying to help.
"Kurt, I bet you anything, you would sing with us if we sang one of your favorite songs. You can't just not sing" Santana said. "We know you. You sang all the time, and you wouldn't just quit"
"Fine." Kurt groaned since, they obviously wouldn't let this go, I'll sing a song with you guys." Kurt rolled his eyes and Rachel squealed "But one of you guys has to sing it with me"
"I will!" Rachel exclaimed, jumping at the chance to sing and show off her own skills, causing everyone else to roll their eyes in annoyance "We've done tons of duets!"
"Fine" Kurt sighed "What song, Rach?"
Rachel grinned and skipped over to her iPod doc that sat in the living room. "You take first part" Kurt raised an eyebrow but then smirked when he heard the song start.
"Instrumental version?"
"Of course"
Kurt grinned as he stared at Rachel as he started, trying to concentrate on his lyrics.
Forget your troubles
Blaine stared at him with admiration as he sang. His voice was so angelic. He didn't take his eyes off of him as Rachel started to sing.
Happy days
Kurt grinned softly as he and Rachel switched back and forth with their lyrics, grinning at each other as they did so.
C'mon get happy
Are here again
You better chase all your cares away
The skies above are clear again
Shout hallelujah
So let's sing a song
C'mon get happy
Of cheer again
Get ready for the judgment day
Happy days are here again.
The sun is shining
C'mon get happy
Shout it now there's no one
The lord is wait to take your hand
Who can, doubt it now
Shout hallelujah
So let's tell the world
And just get happy
About it now
We're going to the promise land
Happy days are here again.
We're heading cross the river
Sun you case when I'll be gone
There'll be no more from now on
From now on...
Happy days
And just get happy
Are here again
You better chase all your cares away
The skies above are clear again
Shout hallelujah
So let's sing a song
And just get happy
Of cheer again
Rachel then grinned and started their belts.
Happy times!
Kurt then repeated with an equally large grin.
Happy times!
Happy nights!
Happy nights!
Happy days! Are-here-again!
Everyone in the room started clapping. Rachel grinned, accepting the applause, obviously used to it, as Kurt smiled shyly, a hint of a blush on his porcelain cheeks.
"Wow that was amazing"
"Wasn't it?" Rachel exclaimed "I was so perfect, wasn't I, Kurt?!" Kurt rolled his eyes at the comment she was using. "Why'd you roll your eyes?"
"Because you're annoying me" Kurt said as if it should be obvious to her.
"Ok!" Nellie exclaimed "We're not starting this again! How about you four sing something from your Glee Club days!" Nellie suggested eyes wide as she begged the other girls to help her out. Mercedes smiled sympathetically, feeling sorry for the girl that had to live with the bickering friends.
"Yeah! I'd the love to hear what you two sound like!" Blaine jumped in, smiling at Mercedes and Santana, not wanting to have to listen to yet another Kurt and Rachel fight, knowing that they never end well.
"Well, there is a song the four of us sang in high school" Santana smirked "I'm sure if Cedes started it, Kurt and Rachel would stop arguing" The others turned toward Kurt and Rachel, who were still fighting. "Right Mercedes?"
"Of course, because those two have gotten worse over time"
"And that's possible…how?" Blake questioned and the other four laughed as Kurt sent them a harsh glare, now starting to listen to their conversation. "Mercedes…this might a smart time to sing…" Kurt then rolled his eyes at his friend and started insulting Rachel once again, as she teased him. Mercedes sighed and then opened her mouth and started singing her heart out.
There's a boy I know, he's the one I dream of
Looks into my eyes, takes me to the clouds above
Santana then jumped in, eyes flickering over to Kurt and Rachel, who were still angry at each other, not really caring that their friends were singing one of their favorite songs.
Ooh I lose control, can't seem to get enough
As Kurt's harmony came up, he stopped arguing, Rachel still spurting insults at him, and started to sing along with his two friends, glaring at Rachel as he did so.
When I wake from dreaming, tell me is it really love
Rachel smirked at her best friend as her solo came up and her friends sang back up for her. Kurt simply sat there and rolled his eyes at her as she grasped the spotlight, yet again.
How will I know (Don't trust your feelings)
How will I know
How will I know (Love can be deceiving)
How will I know
The other 5 watched as Kurt and Rachel both tried to out sing each other, but still stick with the rhythm. At one point, you could barely hear Mercedes or Santana, because it was all Rachel and Kurt singing as loud as they could, but still staying perfectly on key.
How will I know if he really loves me
I say a prayer with every heart beat
I fall in love whenever we meet
I'm asking you what you know about these things
How will I know if he's thinking of me
I try to phone but I'm too shy (can't speak)
Falling in love is all bitter sweet
This love is strong why do I feel weak
Oh, wake me, I'm shaking, wish I had you near me now
Said there's no mistaking, what I feel is really love
Oh tell me
If he loves me, if he loves me not (X3)
How will I know (Don't trust your feelings)
How will I know
How will I know (Love can be deceiving)
How will I know
How will I know if he really loves me
I say a prayer with every heart beat
I fall in love whenever we meet
I'm asking you what you know about these things
How will I know if he's thinking of me
I try to phone but I'm too shy (can't speak)
Falling in love is all bitter sweet
This love is strong why do I feel weak
How will I know?
Mercedes and Santana high fived "We still got it!" Santana exclaimed and Mercedes grinned. The others laughed as they clapped, but of course all the cheerfulness was ruined when Rachel started yelling at Kurt.
"I wish you would just appreciate me!" She squawked as she stood up, glaring down at him, causing Kurt to roll his eyes.
"Oh my God" Mercedes whispered "It's like high school all over again"
"You need to calm down!" Kurt shouted back as he stood as well "Where is all of this coming from?! Is it that time of the month?! Oh, wait! We put that on our calendar so we know when to not talk to you!" Kurt exclaimed and then Rachel gasped as her hand flew to her mouth in shock.
"How dare you?!" She shouted and then she walked over to Blaine "Have fun with him. You'll wish you went running for the hills in a couple of weeks" Everyone's eyes widened as they watched Kurt's reaction as Rachel continued "Seriously leave now, he's a bitch and he deserves to be lonely." Kurt said nothing as he brushed past all of his friends and into his room, slamming the door behind him. Rachel rolled her eyes "Way to be mature, Hummel!"
"Rachel…too far…way too far…" Nellie said softly as she made her way to Kurt's room.
"Of course you're all going to take his side!"
"Rachel…" Nellie sighed "I'm not taking sides, I never take sides, but I just think what you said was a little harsh and it got to him"
"Well he should get over it" Rachel rolled her eyes and then grabbed her coat "I'm going out"
"Rachel" Nellie said as she moved to stand in front of the tiny brunette "You should apologize"
"Not until he apologizes to me" It was silent until they all heard a quite sob coming from Kurt's room. All of them sent Rachel a look, well expect for Blaine, who looked worriedly at the door. "Don't give me those looks. He is a bitch"
"That doesn't mean he deserves to be alone…" Santana trailed off "I'm a bitch and I got someone and think I deserve her" Rachel rolled her eyes and then shoved past Nellie, causing Nellie to spin around and face Rachel's retreating back.
"What is up with you lately?!" She shouted out and Rachel stopped in her tracks. She spun around and stared at her best friend, tears evident in her eyes.
"I'll tell you later" And with that said, Rachel walked out of the apartment, giving all of them an apologetic look as she did so.
"I'm gonna go check on Kurt, see if he's alright" Blaine said after a few moments of silent. He turned to walk towards Kurt's door but Mercedes' voice stopped him.
"Could you tell him we said goodbye and that we'll talk to him tomorrow? Santana and I should really get going" Blaine nodded and smiled softly at the two "And Blaine, please be easy on him. His life has been pretty rough" Santana nodded in agreement "He's the one person who doesn't deserve to be alone" Blaine smiled softly at them and nodded.
"I completely agree" Mercedes grinned at him "It was nice meeting you guys"
"You too" Santana smiled and then her eyes flickered towards Kurt's door "Hummel can be a bitch, but stick around. I'm sure you'll find out he's worth it" Blaine grinned at her and then turned and walked over to his boyfriend's bedroom door. He heard Nellie say that she would show Mercedes and Santana out right before he knocked on the door lightly.
"Kurt? Can I come in?"
"If you're going to break up with me, than no" He heard a voice grumble and he frowned and knocked once more, praying that Kurt would let him in.
"Kurt, I'm not gonna break up with you, I just want to make sure you're okay" Blaine said as he leaned against the door and he sighed as he heard a sniff and then a rustling of bed sheets.
"I'm fine" Kurt choked out and it sounded pretty muffled as if Kurt's head was buried in a pillow or something. Blaine knocked once more and leaned his head on the door, glancing back into the living room where he could see Blake and Nellie sending him looks from the couch.
"Kurt, could I please come in?" He waited for a moment, hoping to get a response, and he breathed in a sigh of relief when he heard a small voice mutter "Fine". He pushed the door open and then shut it behind him. He looked over at his boyfriend and was upset to find that Kurt was laying face down on his bed, sobbing into his pillow. "Kurt…"
"Don't pity me. Please."
Blaine couldn't help the tug of his heartstrings at the sound of misery in his voice. Blaine hurried over and kneeled down at the edge of the bed, rubbing Kurt's back. "I'm not here to pity you, I'm here to tell you that Rachel's wrong" Kurt said nothing, he simply buried his face deeper into his pillow. "I'm not going to break up with you, Kurt, I really like you and something your friend said isn't going to change that"
"She's not my friend anymore" Kurt grumbled and Blaine sighed
"Kurt, I know you're upset with her, but I know you still think of her as a best friend. Do you know how many times Blake has done something to me that made me want to hate him?" Kurt was silent for a moment and then he turned his head to look at Blaine with a raised eyebrow and confused expression as he bit his lip softly.
"Really?"
Blaine nodded and smiled "Rachel didn't mean it"
"Yeah she did. Because Rachel Berry means everything she ever says" Kurt rolled his eyes, as if remembering a time she had once said that. "It's not whether she meant it or not that hurts me…it's that she said it"
"What do you mean?"
"Everyone in high school told me that I didn't deserve love because…well…you know, I'm not straight. Rachel knew about this and always told me that I deserved someone and I would finally find that perfect someone someday. She also told me that someone would accept me and all of my flaws, but yet she just said that…knowing it would hurt my feelings"
"Oh, Kurt" Blaine said sympathetically and he patted his back and then started rubbing it again. "You will find your perfect someone someday, and I sure as hell hope that someone is me, because I know that I already accept you and all of your flaws, you know, if you actually had any" Blaine winked and Kurt smiled softly at him, a hint of red on his cheeks. "You're not going to be alone. No matter what you'll always have us" Kurt looked up at him and smiled a genuine smile. "I promise"
"Thank you Blaine"
"You're very welcome, Kurt, but I shouldn't have to say it. You should know that you're perfect to me" Kurt smiled and then scooted over so he was closer to Blaine and placed his lips over Blaine's, loving the feel of Blaine smiling as he started to kiss back.
.Blake.
"I guess we'll see you guys later" Mercedes smiled softly at the two of them "Nellie, nice to see you again, and Blake, it was nice to meet you"
"You too" Blake and Nellie responded in unison with smiles on their faces.
"Okay, seriously, you two aren't dating?" Santana asked, looking the two of them over like a science project. "I don't fucking believe that for a second. You two are like…all over each other" Santana nodded towards Blake's arms, which was draped around Nellie's waist, which neither of them had actually noticed before that moment. Blake quickly pulled his arm away from her, causing them both to blush a bright red. "Get your shit together"
Mercedes bit her lip, trying not to laugh and then gave the two a little wave. "See you guys later" Santana sent the two of them a look and then wiggled her fingers as she smirked.
"Bye bye, love birds" She snickered as she pulled the door shut behind her. Nellie stared at the closed door, cheeks beet red as she tried to calm down. After she had, she turned to Blake, threw him a bright (embarrassed) smile and then walked over to the couch and plopped down. Blake sat down beside her and then they both sent a look over to Blaine who was leaning on Kurt's bedroom door, trying to talk to him.
"I never thought Kurt would get so torn up over something Rachel said." Blake said softly to Nellie "He usually ignores her and keeps his head held high" Nellie sighs as she slumps in the arm of the couch even more.
"Kurt can put up a good front" Nellie said, looking towards the door again, seeing that Blaine was no longer standing outside. "Apparently being bullied does that to a person"
"Were you ever bullied?" Blake asked softly as he turned so he was facing her. Nellie drew in a shaky breath and nodded slowly.
"A lot...actually. I try to forget about it…but it still happened"
"Why were you bullied?" Blake asked tentatively
"People always said I got more…depressed after my sister died,..and all of my classmates often made fun of me for being different and sad all of the time. Some of them even knew why I was like that, but they still teased me" Nellie sighed "It died down after a while. I'm sure Kurt's bullies were worse"
Blake leaned over and sent her a tiny smile "You can't compare bullies. They're bad no matter what" Blake scooted closer to her, grasping her hand "I was bullied in middle school and it was awful, and I'm sure Kurt had some awful bullies, like that guy we saw at the café earlier, but bullies are bullies. They're awful no matter what"
Nellie smiled and leaned a little closer to him as well. "You make a really good point"
"I've been told" Nellie let out a giggle and before either of them knew it, their faces were just inches apart. Blake blinked and then his eyes wandered down to her lips. His eyes traveled back up to her eyes and she nodded slowly, as if granting him permission to kiss her yet again.
And he did just that.
"What does this make us?" Blake whispered as he pulled back from her, their breath hot on each other's faces, as they were stills so close. Nellie smiled and Blake couldn't help the goofy grin that appeared on his face not much longer after that.
"Well, it depends…" Blake's eyebrow arched in confusion and Nellie smirked at him. "on if we're going to get our shit together like Santana said" Nellie joked and Blake laughed as he played with her hair.
"I'd say that I've got my shit together. What do you think?" Nellie hummed softly and just pressed her lips onto his in response. "I'm taking that as a yes" Nellie smiled and let out a breathless laugh. "So, Nellie…"
"Yes…?"
"Will you be my girlfriend? I know we both have some issues, but I'm sure we can sort those out together-"Once again, Nellie placed her lips over his, maneuvering so she was closer to him and her arm was wound around him neck, pulling him closer. After a moment, they pulled away, trying to catch their breath. "I'm taking that as a yes too"
"Good" Nellie responded and hugged him tightly. Blake was about to wrap his arms around her in response when she ripped away from him and jumped off the couch, running off towards the kitchen. Blake chuckled and then he followed her, wondering what she was up to.
"Whatcha doing?" Blake questioned as she got a tall glass, a large spoon, and some milk out, setting it on the counter. She simply grinned and opened the freezer. She reached into the far back and grabbed a tub of chocolate ice cream. "Rachel lets you have ice cream in the house? She once forced me to have vegan ice cream at my birthday party." Nellie smiled and then shut the freezer after setting the ice cream on the counter.
"We hide it" Nellie responded "We did when I lived here before, and apparently old habits die hard in this apartment" She smiled and then started to scoop ice cream out of the tub and force it into the cup. "Every time Kurt's upset or something, and Rachel's gone, I make him a milkshake"
"Why not hand him the ice cream and call it good?"
Nellie grinned, as if she was hiding something and it seems like she was because she replied with "It's a long story" Blake didn't question it and simply watched as she scraped the sides of the tub. "Damn, I ate most of it" Blake chuckled and Nellie smiled "I'm serious. I ate like half of it, so Kurt better not fucking waste this" She said as she got the remaining ice cream into the cup. She then grabbed the milk and poured it up about half way. "He can stir it himself"
"You're so thoughtful" Blake remarked and Nellie sent him a glare
"And you're mean" Blake let out a laugh and then she stuck a spoon into the ice cream and milk mix and sloshed it around a little and then picked it up. She walked out of the kitchen, Blake hot on her heels as she made her way to her best friend's room. She knocked on the door and heard a soft 'Come in'. Nellie opened the door and grinned as she saw Blaine and Kurt sitting beside each other on the bed.
"Is that a milkshake?" Kurt asked with wide eyes
"Yep." Nellie grinned and handed it to him. "Cherish it because we no longer have ice cream"
"Fatty" Nellie glared
"Do you want this milkshake or not?"
"I do and I'm sorry" Kurt smiled innocently and Nellie laughed as he took the milkshake from her. "Would you like me to tell the story of why you made me milkshake?" Kurt asked with an arched eyebrow. Nellie's eyes widened and she quickly shook her head "Come on, it's hilarious"
"Not really" Nellie glared at him "My way made sense"
"Okay…really?" nellie nodded "'My milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard, and damn right, it's better than yours?' That is not about milkshakes, so you're way doesn't make sense" Nellie huffed and Blaine let out a loud laugh.
"You thought milkshakes was really about milkshakes?!" he exclaimed and Nellie pouted.
"She has an innocent mind" Kurt commented with a smirk, taking a sip of the milkshake.
"Yes, I do, and you ruined it" Nellie huffed "I was perfectly fine with not knowing that it was all sexual and stuff" Kurt laughed and Nellie grabbed the milkshake from him, causing him to pout. "Don't worry, you'll get it back"
"Why'd you take it then?" Kurt asked, clearly confused. Well, he was before Nellie launched herself at him, shoving him so he was laying down, promptly sitting on his chest. Blake let out a chuckle and Blaine grinned. "Get off of me"
"No"
"Nellie!"
"Kurt!" Nellie mocked and Kurt tried to roll over, but she wouldn't let him. "Just stop trying. You're wasting your energy"
"Blake! Control your girlfriend" Blake simply chuckled and Kurt stared at him in shock. Blake raised an eyebrow at his friend and then Kurt adjusted slightly and pointed at Blake. "You didn't deny it"
"What?"
"You didn't deny it!" Kurt exclaimed "So, you two are dating now!" Kurt exclaimed and shoved Nellie off of him.
"Ow!"
"That's what happens!" Kurt said as he looked down at her. "So, did he like just ask you out or something?" Nellie hid her face as she felt her cheeks heat up. Kurt smirked down at her and ruffled her hair. "I'm taking that as a yes"
"I hate you" Kurt laughed and nudged her, which caused him to get slapped on the arm.
"They act like we're not even here" Blake said, smiling at the two. Kurt smiled widely as he turned back to Blake.
"I'm sorry, what'd you say?" Kurt teased and Blake rolled his eyes, smile still evident on his face.
"Shut up"
.Nellie.
"You know what we should do!" Nellie exclaimed as she looked up again, happiness clear in her eyes. Everyone looked at her questionably "We should watch a movie!" After a nod and a smile from the other two boys she then turned to Kurt and at the exact same time they shouted out "My pick!"
"It's my turn!" Kurt exclaimed "You picked the last time!"
"How would you know? We haven't watched a movie together since I moved back!" Kurt scoffed at her and then grabbed her wrist and dragged her down to Rachel's room. Blake and Blaine quickly followed, probably wondering what the two of them were doing. Kurt stopped in front of a chart on the wall. He pointed towards it and smirked "Rachel keeps track"
"Seriously?" Nellie asked as she stepped up to the 'list'. She skimmed down it and saw hers, Kurt's, and Rachel's names in one column, the movie they chose in the next, and the date in the final column. She skimmed it down to where her last name appeared. Her eyes flashed over to date and then looked at Kurt's name right below hers and saw that it was after she had up and moved to back to Tacoma "Damn."
"Ha!" Kurt exclaimed
"Please don't choose a musical….Rachel's not here" Nellie whined and Kurt waved her off as Blaine and Blake looked over the list.
"Most of Rachel and Kurt's movie choices are musicals" Blaine commented
"Do you see what I have to live with?" Nellie frowned and Kurt elbowed her playfully.
"And most of your picks are Disney" Blake smiled and Nellie shrugged
"Told you she was innocent" Kurt murmured as they all walked out and Nellie nonchalantly hit him. Kurt gasped out and she snickered "That hurt!"
"Boohoo" She then smirked at him "I think I should get to pick the movie because I so graciously made you a milkshake" Kurt laughed "I'm serious"
"No, you're going to make us watch Lilo and Stitch!" Kurt exclaimed as they walked into the living room.
"I love that movie!" Blaine exclaimed and Nellie looked at Kurt with a satisfactory grin.
"I'm not the only one who thinks that it's a good movie"
"Good movie?!" Blaine exclaimed "Try great movie!" Nellie smirked and then sent a puppy dog pout Kurt's way.
"Not that look"
"Please?" Nellie pleaded with large brown eyes "I haven't seen that movie in a year"
"No-wait you haven't?"
"Nope, for some reason my parents don't have that movie, so while ion Tacoma, I couldn't watch it" Kurt thought about this for a moment and then sighed.
"Fine" Nellie grinned and hugged him. "Get off of me and go get my milkshake. I'll set the movie up" Nellie nodded, smile still plastered on her face as she skipped off to Kurt's room and grabbed his milkshake for him. She walked back in and set it on the end table near the couch. Blaine sat on said couch and then Nellie grabbed Blake's hand and they sat on the love seat. "I cannot tell you how many times I've watched it"
"And he also cannot tell you how many times he's actually cried during it"
"I do not cry" Kurt snapped and Nellie rolled her eyes as she leaned into Blake's side, just as the movie was starting.
"Shh!" Nellie exclaimed as Kurt then rolled his eyes at her, sitting besides Blaine on the longer couch, cuddling up to him anyway.
/
"Sorry, it's my dad, I should probably take this. I haven't talked to him in a while" Kurt whispered to Blaine as he held his vibrating phone in his left hand. Blaine looked over at him and smiled softly, it grew even larger when Kurt had to dodge a pillow that came hurdling at him from the other side of the room. "What the hell, Nells?!" Nellie didn't say anything she just shushed him and turned back to the TV. Kurt huffed and then walked out of the room.
"This part is so sad" Nellie muttered to Blake as tears welled up in her eyes. Stitch was in the rain after leaving Lilo. "I cry every time"
"I think it's cute that you cry over Lilo and Stitch"
"He's lost" Nellie said, a tear rolling down her cheek as she stares at the TV again. Blake smiled and kissed her hair, causing her to lean further into him, without taking her eyes off of the screen.
"I still think it's adorable" Nellie looked up at him and he raised an eyebrow "What?"
"You're already way better than Josh"
"How so?" Blake smiled
"He used to make fun of me whenever I would get upset during movies. You don't though"
Blake smiled and it only got bigger when Nellie leaned up and kissed him. But she pulled back not long after and then smiled as she looked at the screen again. Blake didn't object, he just wrapped his arms around her even tighter, grinning down at her head.
Yep…way better than Josh.
.Kurt.
Kurt hated to admit that he actually loved the movie Lilo and Stitch…and he also hated to admit that he pretty much cried every time Nellie did…though he tried to do anything he could to convince her that he wasn't crying. And to convince her to that he didn't like this movie…when in reality, he watched it like every month when she was away.
So, yeah he was a little mad when he felt his phone vibrating, signaling that someone was calling him.
But when he glanced down at and saw that it was his father, he was happy again. He quickly told Blaine that he was going to talk to his dad for a little bit, dodged a pillow that was thrown at him by Nellie, and walked into his bedroom, pressing 'Accept Call' as he walked in and shut his door.
"Hey Dad" Kurt breathed out with a smile. He and his father hadn't talked for a while now. So, Kurt hadn't told him about the latest issue of the magazine he was the editor of (not that his father cared much about that type of thing), or about Blaine, or even about Nellie moving back to New York and her moving back into her old room.
"Kurt! I haven't talked to you in forever" Burt chuckled into the phone "I was just calling to check up on you and see how you're doing"
"I'm good Dad. I mean some things could be better, but I'm pretty great other than that"
"What do you mean?" Burt asked, clearly concerned, which caused Kurt to roll his eyes at his father, but keep the smile on his face.
"Rachel and I just had a little fight, but we'll work it out eventually. We'll have to, we live together" Burt chuckled again and Kurt walked over to his closet, trying to find something to do as he talked with his father.
"So, are you still coming down for the weekend?" Kurt's eyes widened as he remembered that he had a plane ticket scheduled for Thursday night to Columbus, Ohio. How could he forget?
Then an image popped into his head. It was a man with curly hair, that was usually gelled down and he had bright hazel eyes and Kurt knew exactly how he had forgotten about his trip to Lima. Stupid Blaine.
"Yeah, of course I am." Kurt said, trying o hide that he had completely forgotten about it…but of course, his dad knew right off the bat that Kurt had forgotten all about his trip.
"You forgot didn't you?"
Kurt sighed "I did, but I promise, I'll be there. I want to see you and Carole, and of course Finn" Finn had decided that he would settle down a couple blocks away from their parents' house and continue to work at the auto shop. He had found a girl, and they were now currently living together. Kurt couldn't remember her name at the moment, but he believed it was Jen…he could be wrong though.
"What's on your mind, bud?" Burt questioned his son. "Is work getting stressful because it's that time of the month?"
"My job isn't like a period Dad" Kurt remarked and then chuckled as he heard his dad laugh "But it's not work. It's been quite easy lately. And I'm not even stressed out"
"Oh really?" Burt asked, and Kurt could practically hear his eyebrow lift up in question "And why do you think that is?"
Kurt ruffled through his closet, cheeks bright red and for once, he was glad he wasn't with his father at this exact moment. "No reason…"
"Did you meet someone?" Burt could always tell. Kurt loved it, because he was happy that his father knew him so well, but it also sucked sometimes. And right now, it was one of those times where it sucked.
"Dad" Kurt blushed and Burt snickered from the other line.
"I take that as a yes" Burt said "So, what's his name?"
"Blaine…"
"And how do you know Blaine?"
"Well…I know him because Nellie-"
"You're old roommate?"
"Yeah, she moved back in by the way"
"Wow…I am so out of the loop." Burt sighed "So, anyway, how does Nellie know him?"
"She's his backup singer"
"He's a singer?"
"Yes….and Dad…he's perfect."
"When he's singing…or…?"
"All the time. He's a gentleman, he's talented, he's handsome, and one of the sweetest guys I've ever met, and he's just…" Kurt sighed. "…Perfect" Kurt heard his father laugh slightly, but he could hear the hint of bitterness and Kurt couldn't help but smile…he had always loved how protective his father was over him…well most of the time.
"I'm happy for you. We'll have to meet him soon"
Then, it was if a light bulb went off inside Kurt's brain. "Hey Dad…" He said innocently, feeling like a teenager again, asking his father for something important, and knowing he would most likely say no. "Do you think maybe Blaine could come with me and meet you guys this weekend?" He heard Burt sigh "His family lives in Westerville, if that helps your descion so he wouldn't have to spend all weekend with us"
"Yes, Kurt, Blaine may come…the sooner I meet him the better" Kurt squealed, and then covered his mouth, remembering that Blaine, Blake, and Nellie were in the other room.
"Thank you Dad!"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, so tell me more about this guy…"

Kurt walked in about 20 minutes later. He plopped down next to Blaine and grinned at him as Blaine wrapped an arm around his waist, tugging him closer to him. "How was your conversation with your dad?" Kurt grinned, sneaking a glance at Nellie and Blake, who were too engrossed in the movie to notice their whispering.
"Good, he reminded me that I was going to spend the weekend down in Lima"
"Oh really?" Blaine smiled and Kurt nodded and then bit his lip. Now or never… he thought to himself and then locked eyes with Blaine again. "What's up?" Blaine questioned as he looked down at Kurt. Kurt smiled up at him nervously and then said it.
"So…I know we haven't been going out for that long…but I…I wanted to know if yo wanted to come with me…I don't know if you have any performances or something this weekend, but it would be really great if you could come. And you could even spend some time with your family" Kurt said nervously.
"Kurt" Blaine whispered, leaning his forehead up against his boyfriend's. "I would love to go with you" Kurt breathed out a sigh of relief and then their lips met in a brief kiss before they both turned and continued to watch the movie.
