A One in a Millionth Chance

*This is a Klaine and Blellie story. Weird combination, I know, but I had an idea. It may start out as confusing, but it'll become clearer.

*I don't think that there will be POV's, but it will focus on one of the main 4 characters in each chunk of the story. I might do POV's when something important happens though.

*So, every chapter is going to be titled. The title is going to be based off of a lyric of a song, or song title, that I think fits the chapter.

*This chapter is titled by 'Two Pieces' by Demi Lovato. The full lyrics is "And I don't have to fall asleep to see my dreams, cause right there in front of me."

.Blaine.

"So, Blaine," Burt said after a while of making small talk with the rest of his family. Blaine looked up and smiled politely and waited for the question to come. "Kurt tells me that you're a singer, you any good?"

"I would hope so. I was often lead soloist in my Glee Club and I sing in cafes now. But I don't think I'm even close to as good as Kurt is." Blaine smiled at Kurt, who simply blushed and hit his shoulder.

"Wait! Dude! You were in a Glee Club?! So were me and Kurt!" Finn exclaimed.

"God, Finn, chew with your mouth closed," Kurt rolled his eyes and Finn gave him an apologetic look as he continued to chew. "And yes, Blaine was in Glee Club, he was in the Warblers."

"Wait! Didn't we go against them in junior and senior year?!" Finn asked and Kurt nodded.

"We did indeed." Kurt said as he took a bite of his spaghetti.

"You beat us though." Blaine smiled and Kurt grinned.

"We did indeed." He repeated teasingly and then turned to his dad. "Dad, Blaine went to Dalton, you know the school you and Carole almost sent me to, but I wouldn't let you?"

"Wait, you almost went to Dalton?" Blaine questioned and Kurt nodded.

"Bullying got bad." He explained simply. "But it was expensive and I didn't want them wasting their honeymoon money on me, so I just stayed at McKinley."

"Bet you regret it now, right Kurt?" Finn grinned and then Kurt kicked him under the table, with an innocent look on his face. "Ouch! What the hell?!" Carole gave Finn a stern look and he gestured to Kurt "He just kicked me!"

"I don't know what you're talking about…" Kurt said, giving Finn a weird look. "My foot is in my space bubble, so relax,"

"You're so lying!" Kurt simply hummed in response and continued to eat his spaghetti. "So, you didn't kick me?" Kurt shook his head, a mischievous look twinkling in his eye. "Okay, let's talk about something else then," Finn then turned towards Blaine. "Did Kurt ever tell you about the time when he dressed up like Lady Gaga?"

"Rachel did, so don't even try," Kurt said nonchalantly. "Plus, I'm not ashamed of that. I looked amazing."

"Okay, what about when we did 'Push It' for the school assembl.y" Finn questioned, smirk still on his face.

"Wait, what?" Carole questioned, eyes wide, and Finn just waved her off.

"Rachel brought it up, I had to explain it to Blaine on the way here," Kurt said "Just stop, I know what you're trying to do, it's not going to work." Kurt said, casting a sideways glance at Blaine.

"Football?" Kurt made a noise, telling his step brother that his boyfriend had already heard that story. "Single Ladies?" Another noise. "Crush on me?" Kurt opened his mouth to respond "Correction, obsessive crush on me?" Kurt simply glared, but nodded. Finn laughed and then thought for a moment. "Week of Straight?" At this moment, Kurt had been taking a sip of water. His brother's words caused him to choke on said water and start to cough. Finn, who was sitting on Kurt's right, slapped his back. "Guess not."

Kurt shot a glare at his father who was trying not to laugh at the other end of the table. "Don't you dare laugh. That was your fault."

"Oh! I thought of another one!" Kurt shot Finn yet another grin "When April Rhodes was at McKinley and she taught you-" Finn was cut off when Kurt kicked him in the shin again, harder than before.

"Taught you to what, Kurt?" Burt asked sternly and Kurt flushed, sinking into his chair. "Kurt…"

"She just taught me this embarrassing dance." Kurt lied. "I'd rather not talk about that."

"Kurt, you're lying."

"Fine, April Rhodes gave me alcohol…I might've gotten drunk and threw up all over Miss. Pillsbury."

"And he referenced Bambi," Finn added with a smirk, Kurt blushing bright red.

"How'd you know?!"

"Kurt, it happened in the middle of the hallway!" Finn exclaimed with a laugh, "Stuff gets around."

"Kurt…how come I never knew about this?"

"Because I only actually drank it because I thought it would give me more courage and maybe I could stand up to all of the bullies." Kurt's eyes then met Finn's, the twinkle coming into his own blue eyes as he decided that if he was going into trouble, so would Finn. "For instance, football players who threw pee balloons at me."

"Finn!" Carole gasped "Did you guys really do that to him?"

"I…uh…" Finn then looked at Blaine. "So, Blaine, how do you know Kurt, you know, other than the fact that you two are dating?" Kurt rolled his eyes at this, Finn just made everything awkward. Kurt caught Blaine's eye and he silently asked him if he should share the full story, so Kurt just shrugged. His father knew, so he honestly didn't care, long version or short version.

"Mutual friends." Blaine ended up saying and Kurt couldn't help his snort.

"What's so funny about that?"

"It's more than just mutual friends…Blaine just gave you the short version,"

"Give us the long version, I'm not in the mood to get in trouble right now"

Carole slapped her son's knee and then looked at the two boys sitting on the other end of the table. "I would actually love to know how you two met"

"Well…you guys remember Nellie right?" Burt and Carole nodded, both smiling, remembering the sweet girl, but Finn shook his head. "Finn, you know her, she's mine and Rachel's roommate, you flirted with her and then Rachel got pissed because you guys were still dating-"

"Oh yeah!" Finn exclaimed "I remember her now." Kurt simply rolled his eyes and continued on with his story.

"So, anyway, she moved back to New York, and I told her she could have her room back, but she felt bad, so she went out to get a job,"

"I hired her as my backup singer," Blaine jumped in, causing Kurt to smile at him. "Then Kurt and Rachel showed up at our first gig to support Nellie-"

"And I also came because I admit, I had a huge crush on Blaine, knew who he was and thought he was insanely talented." Kurt smirked. "Nellie was just a little help in meeting him," Blaine laughed.

"Then he, Rachel, and my roommate and Kurt's assistant, Blake were hanging out at their apartment and Nellie and I were working on some songs and I just ended up asking him out"

"Correction. I asked you out, remember?" Kurt winked "You said you were going to, but then we got to talking and then I beat him too it."

"Aww, that's sweet," Carole gushed. "So what was your first date like?"

Kurt and Blaine shared a smirked. "Our first date was interesting to say the least…" Kurt said mysteriously and then the two of them began to tell the Hudmel clan about their odd first date, the whole time, the two boys sharing cute glances, making Carole grin, Burt smile, and Finn grimace at all of the couple-y stuff going on.

.Nellie.

"Hey, Nell, I've been meaning to ask you something…" Blake said as they sat on the couch in Kurt, Rachel, and Nellie's apartment, watching some random show on TV, not paying attention at all as they snuggled up on the couch. Nellie looked up at him, smile slowly fading from her face, wondering what he meant. She raised an eyebrow, signaling him to continue, so he did. "Earlier, when we were walking into the café, you said something that confused me, and I just wanted to know what you meant..."

"What I'd say?" Nellie asked, her eyebrows scrunching together as she tried to remember.

"You said something about that video Rachel showed us made you want to puke…why's that?" Nellie went pale "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to," Nellie adjusted so she was sitting up. She turned her head towards Blake and sighed as they made eye contact. "I was just wondering,"

"I should've told you when I told you all about my relationship with Josh…but I usually leave a key point out…because I try really hard to forget about it," Blake's eyes widened.

"Nellie, you don't have to tell me-" But Nellie simply cut him off, fiddling with her hands.

"I told you he cheated on me right?" Blake nodded, silent. "Well, I might've left out a tiny detail."

"And what's that?"

"He cheated on me with my old best friend/" Blake looked at her in shock. "We drifted in middle school but then I started dating Josh, and she was suddenly my best friend again, and then I walked in on them…guess I know why, don't I…?" Blake gave her a wondrous look and then wrapped his arms around her.

"I'm so sorry that he did that to you. I'm also sorry that your friend did that to you..." Blake placed a kiss on the side of her head. "Was your friend in the video? Is that why it made you feel sick?" Nellie nodded, scoffing at the mere thought of the video playing in her mind.

"She sang first…that's why I didn't want to watch it. I actually had fun making that…I just hated being there with her…it was after I found her with Josh…she just rubbed it in my face thought, kept calling him and texting him when we were all hanging out together, Josh even showed up once. I left."

"I would've too." Blake admitted. "You didn't deserve that. You don't deserve anything that bastard did to you."

"Thank you," Nellie breathed and kissed his cheek "When you say things like that you make me really glad I met you."

Blake hummed. "I'm really glad I met you too. Without a doubt, you're the best girlfriend I have ever had." Nellie giggled and adjusted herself so she could look at him.

"Well, aren't you sweet" She smiled and pressed another kiss to his lips. "But you are definitely the best boyfriend I have had." Nellie rubbed their noses together softly "Not that you have much to compete with though…"

"Which I don't understand. You're perfect" Nellie snorted.

"I'm not perfect. Nobody is."

"Fine…you're perfectly imperfect. Happy?"

Nellie didn't respond, she simply kissed him, giggling as she did so.

.Kurt.

"Don't care how old you are, bud, door open!" Burt yelled after he and Blaine as they ascended the stairs to Kurt's room. Kurt felt his face heat up, causing Blaine to chuckle. Kurt glared at him and then hit his arm playfully.

"Gee, thanks Dad!"

"You're welcome, kid!" Kurt smiled softly to himself; he really had missed his dad.

Kurt led Blaine to his old bedroom, wondering how much stuff was still in the room, having taken most of it and trashed the rest. He opened the door, and let Blaine walked in before him, taking in the sight. Blaine hummed and Kurt raised an eyebrow at him in questioning. "Nothing, it's just really classy for a teenager,"

"Why thank you," Kurt smirked. "I like to think that I was a classy teenager," Blaine chuckled and the two of them sat down on either side of the bed.

"I'm sure you were," Kurt raised an eyebrow as he watched Blaine's smile falter slightly.

"What?"

"I've just been thinking about what was said at dinner tonight,"

Kurt's eyes widen. "Is this about what Finn said about my week of straight, because I can promise you, that was some sort of phase, I'm 100% gay-" Blaine let out a chuckle and shook his head. "Then, what's it about? The fact that I got drunk in high school and threw up on a guidance counselor with OCD?" Blaine laughed again and shook his head.

"I'm just thinking about the fact that you almost went to Dalton." Kurt raised his eyebrow. "Obviously, we would've known each other because I'm sure you would've auditioned for the Warblers," Kurt smiled and nodded. "but, I just keep wondering if we…if we would've dated…"

"I'll tell you what would've happened if I had ended up going to Dalton," Kurt said, scooting closer to Blaine and taking his hand. "We would meet, become best friends," Blaine raised an eyebrow. "What? We have a lot in common!" Blaine chuckled and then Kurt continued. "I would have a huge, almost obsessive crush on you, and I believe that you wouldn't see it, but everybody else would. Then, you would end up realizing that I like you, but you would politely turn me down-"

"How do know that? I know for a fact, that I would never turn you down,"

"In my mind, you were in a relationship, or liked a guy and it didn't work out. You liked me back, but you didn't want to ruin our friendship." Blaine chuckled. "Then, I was sad for a while, but we remained friends. Finally, you realize you had feelings for me all along, kiss me after a well rehearsed speech," Blaine nodded and smiled. "Then, we get together, but eventually, I transfer back to McKinley-"

"Why?"

"Shh," Blaine gave him a shocked look. "It's esstential to the storyline!"

"You've had a lot of time to think about this…"

"Do you want to hear the rest of our could-have-been-relationship, or not?" Blaine laughed and squeezed Kurt's hand.

"I'm sorry, continue." Kurt smiled at him and kissed him quickly on the corner of his mouth.

"Anyway, I transfer back to McKinley, but we keep our relationship going. Then, the next year, in my mind, I was a junior when we got together and you were a sophomore, so in my senior year, I convince you to transfer to McKinley –see, I told you it was essential to the storyline–. You then join the New Directions, we make it to Nationals, and win. Then you start getting worried because I'm planning to go to New York the next year, and you still have a year left of school-"

"Tragic," Blaine commented.

"-then, I move to New York, and we have some trouble communicating, but we make it through our rough patches and then you graduate, and you join me in New York," Kurt grinned. "Then eventually, we prove everybody wrong about 'high school sweethearts' never make it and get married," Kurt's eyes widened. "I took it to far, didn't I?" Kurt ripped his hand away from Blaine's and buried his head in his hands and groaned loudly.

Blaine chuckled and wrapped his hand around Kurt's left wrist and tugged gently, getting Kurt to bring his hands down and look at Blaine. "You didn't take it too far. If it happened like that, we would definitely be married by now," Kurt bit his lip and blushed a little. "But, fate decided to be a bitch and not meet each other until a few months ago." Kurt laughed. "But, I'm not really complaining."I still got the pleasure of meeting you, and eventually getting to be your boyfriend," Kurt blinked back tears. "Oh no, Kurt, please don't cry, I didn't mean to-"

"I'm not crying because I'm upset, I'm crying because I'm happy, you idiot," Kurt laughed. "Nobody's ever said anything that…sweet to me before,"

"Well, you deserve it. You're the most amazing man, I've ever been able to say I know." Kurt didn't say anything this time, he just leaned forward and kissed Blaine soundly on the lips.

He completely agreed with Blaine. He didn't care if they didn't meet in high school, they knew each other know and that's all that matters.

.Blake.

Blake's eyes fluttered open when he heard a tiny giggle. He looked around, obviously confused to why he wasn't in his bed, or even in his own apartment. Everything seemed to click into place when he felt something on his chest. He looked down and couldn't help the smile that appeared on his face when he saw Nellie snuggled up next to him on the couch. He looked up when he heard footsteps and rolled his eyes when he saw Rachel, with her hand over her mouth, trying to stop laughing. She had her phone out and she was holding it up as if she was taking a picture.

"I'm sorry!" Rachel snickered. "You guys are just so cute!" Blake rolled his eyes and Rachel smiled fondly at him. "Don't worry, I'll send you the picture,"

"Rachel!" Blake whisper-shouted.

"What?" She giggled. "I'm just so happy for you. You've all had your fair shares of heartbreaks and you both really deserve to be happy. And it's obvious that the two of you are happy," Rachel smiled and walked to stand behind the couch. She reached down and ruffled Blake's hair. "I really hope this works out,"

"Me too," Rachel smiled and then started walking towards her room.

"I'm going to call Noah, have fun with your little nap," She turned back and winked at him and he just smiled at her and rolled his eyes.

Nellie started moving a little and she looked up at him, her eyes slightly hazy from sleep. "Was that Rachel?"

"Yea, she got back from her rehearsal," Nellie smiled when he brushed an hand through her hair. "Everything's fine, just go back to sleep,"

Nellie leaned up and kissed him softly. "Thank you,"

"For what?"

"For being so understanding," Blake smiled and she lay her head back on his chest.

"Well, you're welcome," Blake kissed her forehead. "And thank you,"

"For what?" She mumbled.

"For letting me in,"

I'm terribly sorry that it's been MONTHS since I last updated. But I forced myself to sit down today and put up a chapter. So, I'm sorry if it sucked. I have something major coming up in the next chapter, but it could be a trigger, so some may want to skip it. I'll warn you about it again in the next chapter!

Thank you for being so patient! :) You guys are amazing!
