Chapter eight
Sesshomaru drew his Tensiega in order to block Inuyasha's attacks. Sesshomaru put himself between Inuyasha and his sister's, even tho he hated them. It was for Kira, watching her Father brutally slaughter his sister's would scar her for life. "Inuyasha, think, this isn't who you are!" Sesshomaru tried to reason with him. "What the fuck do you know about me!?" Inuyasha yelled.
Sesshomaru was surprised, Inuyasha seemed like he was in control. "Get out of my way Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha demanded, cracking his knuckles. "So, the half-breed's transformed has he?" Anikka chuckled. "So be it." She smiled brandishing the Tetsiaga. "Shut up you fool!" Sesshomaru yelled, walking back slowly as Inuyasha advanced towards him slowly.
"Do you truly believe he can beat me?" Annika was furious at the thought of Inuyasha being stronger than her. "Why are you defending them?" Inuyasha snarled as he continued forward. Sesshomaru didn't know how to respond, because he honestly didn't have a reason. Inuyasha leaped forward without warning, Sesshomaru was barley able to block his attack.
"Get outa my way!" Inuyasha yelled, knocking Sesshomaru off his feet, and leaping towards his sister. "Allow me too demonstrate the Tetsiaga's true power!" Annika called. Inuyasha let out an evil chuckle. He smashed through the vortex of wind, destroying the wind scar. "Do you honestly think you know my sword better than I do?!" Inuyasha laughed as the gap closed and Annika froze with fear.
Something hit Inuyasha, moments before he ripped into Annika with his claws. He looked over, Sesshomaru, he had managed to knock him off his feet. Inuyasha let out an annoyed growl as he stood. "Stop interfering!" Inuyasha demanded, cracking his knuckles. "Stop it, Inuyasha!" Kagome called to him, covering their daughters eye's. Inuyasha couldn't say she didn't know him, she knew him better than anyone.
"Stay out of this Kagome." He ordered. 'He isn't going to stop until they're dead!' Kagome thought horrified. "I've never seen him like this." Kasuga trembled. "You fools have awakened his demon blood!" Sesshomaru yelled, ducking Inuyasha's claws. "I have no interest in fighting you." Inuyasha admitted, looking to his sister's. "But they have to die!" Inuyasha narrowed his sights on the two.
"Inuyasha." Sesshomaru's voice didn't carry it's usual malice. "I'm sorry." Sesshomaru announced the second Inuyasha's attention was back on him. Inuyasha's attention was grabbed by the apology. "For?" Inuyasha tilted his head confused. "I should have been there for you when you were young, and protected you as Asuka did. I'm sorry that I was too foolish to accept you as my brother." Sesshomaru apologized. Inuyasha's eyes lightened and one tear dripped onto his cheek. "It's too late for that." Inuyasha shook his head. Sesshomaru thought of a way he could stop him.
He glanced at Asuka's motionless body, and knew that there was only one way to stop him. Sesshomaru jumped to her body, Inuyasha leaped for his sisters. 'Do not fail me now Tensiega!' Sesshomaru thought landing next to Asuka's body.
"Inuyasha!" Asuka's voice was raspy. In shock Inuyasha tripped and stumbled to the ground. He didn't even notice; immediately sitting up and looking at his sister.
"Sister?" He smiled, the demon in him subsiding slightly. She nodded, as Sesshomaru put his tenseiga back in it's sheath. Annika took a deep breath, and looked at her siblings. Inuyasha walked to his sister's side, collapsing to his knees. "I'm- I'm sorry." Annika said, dropping the tetsiaga turning to leave, her head was hanging in shame.
"Wait." Inuyasha stopped his sisters before they could leave. They stopped and looked at him, curious as to what he wanted. "This ends here. You can choose to be in my life, or else you are to stay far away from my family. Either way Im tired of your petty, misplaced aggression towards me." Inuyasha stated in a calm but stern voice.
Annika, turned, lowering her head as she disappeared. "Brother? Sounds better than half-breed." Kasuga giggled nervously. Inuyasha smiled warmly, his daughter appearing by his side. "Welcome to the family Sister." Inuyasha laughed as the sun began to come up over the ocean.
