Around The World
Jack waited patiently for a new world day to begin. Artemis lay in her new bed, shuffling in her sleep causing Jack to chuckle at her slightly. Being a guardian, he had no real need for sleep, that was unless he was hurt. As creepy as it may had seem, Jack enjoyed watching Artemis sleep. It was peaceful, watching her slow moving breaths, her adorable face as it dreamed away. He shook his head violently, he couldn't think of something like that. But as his mind raced more, his thought became more...interesting.
To his relief Artemis sat up in her bed rubbing her eyes. She was still half asleep, in a zombie mode practically, she wasn't aware where she was so Jack found it a perfect time to prank her. Floating just above her at eye level he smirked and waited for her eyes to open and adjust. Then with a quick motion Artemis went through a spasming fit.
"Jack!" She yelped as he started laughing. She glanced around and quickly remembered everything, gripping her pillow and throwing it at a flying Jack Frost. She pouted as he continued in his laughing fit, soon calming down he went back over to her.
"Ready to see my work?" He asked, her face twisted in confusion as Jack just instructed her to dress quickly or he was leaving without her. He walked out of the room, leaning on the door waiting as she came out in her normal attire.
"Aeehh...I would bring a coat" He said smirking at a very confused Artemis. She raised her brow to him and walked back into her room, grabbing her dark purple almost red-pink coat. Jack smirked at her, abruptly picking her up and onto his back, she gave a quick yelp and latched onto him quickly, afraid to fall, especially at Jacks speeds.
"Ready to do some work?" He asked grinning widely, other than the slight slouch Jack had to keep Artemis balanced on him, he was standing tall without defiance. Artemis mumbled something into his ear, but before he could process it, he lifted his staff opening a portal and jumped through. Eventually landing somewhere Artemis had never even set foot before, they were now on the bustling city streets of Russia. He grinned looking up at her wide mouthed look.
"As long as you keep in touch, like as in contact" Jack grinned wider now getting her attention.
"No one will see you...okay?" He stated rather than asked really. Artemis nodded and Jack ran down the streets, his staff releasing emits of cold air, frost and snow. The children on a far east playground threw went smoochy snowballs at each other, the ground was melting fast then it should have and Jack knew just what to do. Putting Artemis down he instructed her to hang on to any part of him, and that there needed to be a little more fun around. She smiled widely and watched as Jack made a perfect snowball out of this goop.
Aiming, he hit a random child, causing them to turn. Jack through more snow balls, all the children following him, over the direction as Jack lead them away from the snowy mess. And just as the children began to investigate, he grabbed Artemis by the waist, waving his staff over the land he now hovered. Covering it with new snow, then just simply let a flurry of snow from the sky to land on the ground and top it all of.
"That was nice of you~" Artemis said smiling to him. He grinned and pursued her slightly.
"What? I'm the guardian of fun remember?" Artemis just chuckled innocently to her self, shaking her head lightly as she turned back to face him.
"What ever old man~" She said playfully, only to be taken by Jack and lead to another place. Once and a while he would let her stop and get something to eat, or just rest in period. Artemis was enjoying her day though, or a few days, it was hard to tell with all the different time zones. It was a wonder on how Jack always visited her on good times, but then again, he was over 300 or so.
Artemis sat on a large thick branch of an evergreen tree, they were somewhere in the mountains and Artemis was taking a break from all the different zones, it was apparently a little to much for a human. She swayed her feet and drank some hot coco that she had gotten not to long ago. She had a pretty well view of the trees, circulating around the mountains, as the sky twisted in a white pale blue color. The clouds were more like hazes than anything. The word haze brought back something from the dream Artemis had a night or two ago. The worst nightmare she faced, yet she couldn't even remember most of it. But as her mind started to lay tricks on herself, she started thinking of nightmarish things that could have brought her to be so frightening.
"Ready to go?" Jack said popping his head through a portal. Artemis jumped, frightened and fell back, only to be caught by Jack.
"Woah, whats the matter, I wasn't even trying to scare you" Jack said half jokingly. Artemis tried to gain her composure and smiled, weakly speaking.
"I saved the coco!" Lifting up her cup Jack chuckled at her, studding her face for no matter than a mere second before leaning his face in and licking her cheek, which after wards was blistering red.
