Ty:

I stepped into the elevator and hit the button for it to go up. Within seconds the door closed and the elevator shot up toward the Citadel Tower where Saren and my future awaited. I began to have a panic attack as the fact began to dawn on me, I could be gone after this. My heart began to pound heavily and I couldn't think.

Things immediately went from bad to worse as the elevator stopped and I was stuck. Slowly, I crept to the edge of the elevator and looked up. The Citadel arms were closing and Sovereign was heading full bore for the tower. Bracing my hand against the glass, I realized that I was truly stranded.

By this point, Shepard, would put his space gear on and climb the tower all the way to the top. I, however, couldn't due to my destroyed gauntlet. It was a breach in my armor that couldn't be sealed and forgotten about. Luckily, I wasn't just a human. I was a User and as a User I did what Users do best. I improvised.

Pressing my hand against the glass, I closed my eyes and focused until I saw the matrix code for the elevator. I began to focus on the words "top floor" and the matrix obeyed me. Letters and numbers began to freeze in place and spell different words like up and high. Just as I thought it was going to finish it all stopped immediately as a red line of code snuck in and changed all the green code I was looking at to red.

It then zapped me and I pulled my hand away from the window. It was all over before it had begun. I needed to go up but I couldn't. I was going to cease in an elevator stuck in mid transfer.

I took a few steps away from the glass and sat down on the floor. Nothing could possibly make what I was experience any worse. That was when she decided to show up. The glass pane rippled and my reflection changed from me to Layla. She was waving at me and leaning on the right side of the reflection.

"Ah, what's wrong Ty? Did big mean Ol'Saren do something to stop you? Why not just make a joke and give the elevator your stupid smile?"

I was in no mood for her shit and turned away, "What do you want Layla?"

She held up three fingers and gestured to each one of them as she talked, "Okay, a few things. One, my offer still stands. No emotion, no regret, no hurt just you and me for eternity. Two, you should have expected this, Saren remembers everything."

"Three, I will figure something out."

A small smile came to her face, "Heh, forgot how nice optimism is. Three, how badly do you want to beat Saren?"

"Is this a rhetorical question or are you asking me to give you a reason to help me?"

She let her smile fall down to a smirk, "The later."

It turned around and looked her strait in the eyes, "I have been a loser until the moment I stepped into here. I have no job, my apartment sucks, and I lost you. Since I have stepped in here I have been winning but this, it's like I'm in the real world all over again."

Her smirk got a bit wider, "Heh, you would have had a better chance putting on your stupid smile and making a joke."

With that she disappeared, and I was stuck on the elevator for good. The panic I was feeling fully took over. I began to bang on the glass of the elevator and yell at the top of my lungs.

"You fucking bitch, help me! Don't just leave me here! I don't want to cease, I don't want Saren taking my life! Come back!"

Something in my brain snapped and the panic fleeted away until it was gone. In its place now was pure rage, and I was fired up like a spark in a propane tank. The rage drove me forward and forced me to put my hand to the glass.

Immediately, the red matrix code surrounded my hand and pain shot up my arm but I didn't pull away. I focused on solely the red matrix code and forced it from the elevator. It lifted up and flowed straight into my chest until all of it was gone. As soon as the last zero was gone, the elevator flew upward and I was again on the track to facing Saren.

As the elevator went up I felt a pain in my chest where the red matrix code had gone in. It felt like something was singed into my skin and the pain became too much. I dropped to one knee and clutched at my chest. For the first time since Noveria, matrix code flooded my vision and I had a dizzying feeling overcome my senses.

The elevator made a ding sound that brought my vision back. Quickly, I pushed myself up and tried to put on a calm and cool demeanor. The doors opened to a path lined with Geth. None of them made any sudden moves and they all had a uniform stance.

I stepped out of the elevator and between the Geth, ready to react if I was threatened in any way. Yet, none of the Geth made a move; they just stood and directed my path. I followed the path all the way to the council court where Saren was using the Citadel controls to finish closing the arms. As I reached the top step; Saren turned around and greeted me.

"Hello Ty, I must say that I am very pleased that you decided to spend your last moments with me. Watching as I take the last of your code in and utterly decimate your friends."

I stood silent and began to focus on the armor that I wanted to fight with. Slowly, my armor grew out and morphed into the nanosuit from Crisis. My muscles grew and buffed while my lungs strengthened and fed more oxygen to my blood stream. I would have felt amazing if it were not for Saren's growing smile.

"What's to be happy about? I can snap you in half with this armor."

Saren shot forward and I was only barely able to react in time to stop him from slashing my face. Saren let out a hiss that morphed into a growl and brought his other arm in. I had to release my grip on his left hand in order to catch his right.

"The reason I am smiling is because that armor can only augment your reaction time enough to catch my blows. You see I over clocked my systems, now I can move at speeds that would make a humming bird's wings look slow."

Saren set off and began sending a barrage of blows at me in such a succession that I was only able to block a fifth of them. Head, chest, stomach, arms, legs. The battle wasn't so much a battle as it was how much punishment I could afford to take before one of us faltered.

Saren punched me in the chest and I noticed that he was heating up, hotter than an HP laptop. My mind began to formulate a plan; I would need him to get a little hotter before I could enact it though. I began to block more aggressively and even took a few swings at him. The end results got me one punch and a melted armor on my wrists.

Finally, Saren began to glow with raw heat and I was able to act. I quickly dropped to the ground and rolled off to the side just dodging Saren's punch. As soon as my roll stopped I grabbed my pistol out and set it to cryo-rounds. He let out a laugh and left his fist sitting on the ground.

I fired my Stiletto until it over heated and Saren was properly cooled, "Take that you son-of-a bitch!"

Saren pulled his hand off the ground and gave a chuckle, "What exactly were you planning on doing there?"

"Why don't you come over here and I will show you," I retorted.

He turned to walk over to me but his feet wouldn't move, "What the?"

My pistol's cooling cycle completed and I pushed myself up off the ground, "What's up Saren? Your feet part of the floor now?"

Saren roared and began punching at the metal that had melted around his feet. Since he was bent over, I took the opportunity to give a swift kick to his head. Saren retaliated by stabbing his arm into the ground and flooding the floor with red matrix code.

When it all dissipated the floor was good as new and he was free. Saren took off right at me and I did the only thing that came to my mind. I dropped to one knee and took a swing at him, deactivating my armor mid-punch.

My hand collided with his chest and everything pulled back and went black. When color and sight came back, I was back in the white room with Saren across from me. He looked around as if disoriented for a second and then turned to me.

"So, you bring us here again to finally seal the deal and be fully merged into me. Can't say I blame you. It's so much easier knowing that piece of you will stay behind rather than knowing it all will be gone."

I charged Saren and went to tackle him. He caught me around the stomach in mid stride and lifted me up in the air. I was hanging upside down and did the stupidest thing I could think of. I punched Saren in the stomach. He dropped me, head first on the spots began to dance over my vision and Saren stood over me.

"It's so much easier to finish you this way."

He reached down and grabbed me around the neck, squeezing as hard as he could. The pain, choking and daze all began to numb as sense after sense began to shut down. Slowly, my mind wandered and reflected to another time where I couldn't breathe.

Saren let go of my throat and my senses flooded back into me. I was falling; the planet below me was tropical with ocean surrounding an island. It took me a second but I realized what it was.

Ilos, I was falling to Ilos but why? I looked over and saw Saren was too. His armor was different though, it had changed. It was smoother, with a skin tight weave instead of the bulky stuff he had on just moments ago.

It looked like he was wearing the technocyte armor. When I looked down I realized that I was too. The realization came rapidly with the grounds approach. What the consort said was right. I have to defeat Saren with my experiences.

There was no way I could battle with Saren in the air, that meant I would have to take him on in a place that I was strong on the ground. Closing my eyes, I focused on my strength and power. I felt a force move me and when it was done I was holding the weight of a fully packed semi-truck. I opened my eyes and I was holding back a leg of a Geth colossus.

The weight made my muscles scream in a very familiar way but I was only holding back one of its legs instead of both. I was holding the right leg so I looked left and saw that Saren was struggling to hold back the other leg. I glanced at my arm and noticed that I was in the technocyte armor again.

Focusing, I had the technocytes beef my arms so I could be quick and prepared to make my move. I dropped the leg and side stepped over to Saren. My hand went back and I snatched the glaive off my back and dug the first blade into his side then yanked it out.

He screamed bloody murder and let go of the Colossus leg allowing it to pin him to the ground. I stood over him and brought up the glaive to deliver a final blow, but he grabbed my leg and used his power. Matrix code shot up my leg like a swarm of fire ants; it hurt and was very efficient.

The matrix code arrived at my head and forced my thoughts to another time. Pain centered on my right hip and when the matrix code fell away from my sight I was on the other side of the cave and the piece of Mako was sticking out of my thigh. My eyes drift up and Saren was standing over me with a glaive right above my head.

He smiled with an evil smile that only told me that I was going to die. He lifted up the glaive and brought it down on my head. I felt the pain as it shot through my neck, everything began shutting down and went into black. Something pulled me forward and I was back in my body.

I looked at my hand in Saren and something began yanking me into his code. I pulled back my arm but his hands grabbed me on the shoulders and yanked me in. I threw a punch at his gut but the red matrix code grabbed my hand and I was getting pulled in even faster.

I felt my mind connect with Saren as I was pulled in. Everything shifted over to Saren and red matrix code merged into mine. Then I was gone...

My beta-reader is out of commission for a few weeks so I apologize for the errors I didn't catch when I gave it a look through. I rewrote this chapter like three times because of occurrences that fit too much into movies. If you are wondering, I ended it like Gamer the first time and had a moment that someone accused me of ripping off Die Hard 4.

I hope the PM answered your question LordCybot.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter, next one is already done and depending how badly you want it. I can put it out by tomorrow.
