A/N I do not own Twilight. Everything you recognize belongs to Stephanie Meyer. This will follow the books with some changes throughout. This is told through the point of view of Bella's older sister (OC). This will be an Emmett/OC story with Rosalie/OC. I prefer stories where Rosalie and Emmett are paired with someone else. All other pairings will be canon. I might use some quotes from the movie but it will mostly follow the books. Please review. You can criticize but please no extreme criticism. I have changed what Emma looks like. She is now portrayed by Nina Dobrev. Enjoy the chapter!

Chapter 2: Open Book

The next day was spectacular for me but I had a feeling that it was not the same for Bella. It wasn't raining yet, though the clouds were dense and opaque. I was excited. Emmett was picking me up today. I took a quick shower and washed myself with mango flavoured shampoo and body wash. After my shower I dressed myself in tie-dye jeans, a red long sleeve ruffle hem top, a grey coat, and a pair of black boots. After, I grabbed my ruby ring and four leaf clover necklace and slipped them on. I then grabbed my shoulder bag and walked into the kitchen.

Bella was already there as well as Dad. "Good Morning" I said brightly. "Morning" dad grumbled out. "Morning" Bella said tiredly. I skipped to the cupboard and took out the cereal. I poured myself a bowl and got the milk out of the fridge and poured some in my bowl. I quickly put the milk back and poured myself a glass of orange juice. I ate my breakfast in silence. The only sounds were Bella and I eating and Dad sipping his coffee. "Well I'm off to work. See you both later. Have a good day at school." Dad said as he put his dishes in the sink. "Bye Dad, have a good day!" I said brightly. "Bye Ch-Dad" said Bella. I shot her a look. "Sorry" she mouthed. We both waved as he left. After he was gone I quickly finished my breakfast and rinsed my dishes and left them in the sink. "I'm sooo excited!" I sang aloud to Bella. "Why" she asked. "My car comes today and Emmett is driving me to school!" I squealed excitedly.

"Well good luck!" she said with a forced smile. I was about to question her when I heard the sound of a horn. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! "I got to go, see you later" I said grabbing my bag. "Bye" she said smiling falsely. I ignored her and ran out the door. Emmett was there waiting for me. I ran towards him and he scooped me up and gave me a hug. He gently set me down and opened the passenger door of his jeep for me to get in. I quickly hopped in and bucked my seatbelt. Emmett got in beside me and started the jeep. It came to life with a quiet purr. "How are you this morning?" I asked Emmett brightly. "Better now that you're here." He said winking at me. I lightly blushed.

"Aww, did you miss me?" "You know I did" he said in a booming voice. "Okay let's start asking questions to get to know each other better." I said. "Okay, I'll start," Emmett said, "What is your biggest fear?" "Snakes and spiders. Yours?" "Fire, what is your favourite outdoor activity?" "Cliff diving, what do you miss most about being a kid?" Emmett looked deep in thought. "The freedom and how I didn't have a care in the world. What is the first thing you notice about a person?" "Their eyes, If you were a crayon what colour would you be?" "Green because it's awesome. Who do you miss the most?" "My best friend Clara, she passed away a year ago. Is it easier to forgive or forget?" "Forget, can you fake any accents, if yes what accents?" Emmett asked.

"I can fake a Bulgarian, and an English accent. Have you ever been arrested, if yes for what?" "Once, um for running down a street naked during a game of truth or dare." "Somehow I can imagine that" I said laughing. Seconds later we pulled into the school. I undid my seatbelt and go out of the car. I walked over to Emmett and took his hand. We slowly walked hand in hand to class.

The rest of the morning past quickly and I was happily skipping to lunch with Rose laughing at my side. "Emmy" I yelled as we entered the cafeteria. Emmett turned and looked. I bounded up to him and he spun me around. I laughed and stumbled as he set me on the ground. I ate off their trays as we chatted. RIIIIIIING! RIIIIIIIING! The bell rang signalling the end of lunch.

I walked to gym with Emmett, Jason and Jasper. Once we reached the gym we split ways to change. I quickly changed and stored my clothes in my locker. I grabbed my water bottle and went inside the gym. I walked up to Emmett, Jasper and Jason. "Hey" "Hello" Jason and Jasper murmured. Emmett stared at me open mouthed. I started to feel self-conscious. "Do I look okay?" "You look amazing" Emmett said. The rest of the period passed peacefully. I was teamed with Emmett and we lost to Jason and Jasper. Once the period was finished I walked to Spanish with Emmett.

In Spanish we worked on a worksheet. Once me and Emmett were finished we spent the rest of the period talking. When the school day was finally done, Emmett and I slowly walked to his jeep. It was parked beside the shiny Volvo from yesterday. Jason, Jasper, Alice and Rosalie were already there. I felt like I had been spending a lot of time with Emmett. "Rose?" I said as we walked. "Yes" she answered. "Do you want to go shopping with me? I really need some more winter clothes. Please" I asked. "Alright" she finally answered with a smile. "Alice, do you want to come to. We can make a weekend out of it. Fly out on Friday to Edmonton. It is the biggest mall in the world with an amusement park and over 500 stores." I'd loooooove to" she squealed. "You boys are coming to" Rosalie ordered. "Please Emmy!" I pouted. He took one look at my face and caved. "Alright" he said grinning. "Great," I clapped, "I'll see you guys tomorrow." "Bye" they said. Emmett and I got in his jeep and started following the path to my house.

Once we got to my house Emmett parked in the driveway. I saw my car still had not arrived. "Do you want to come in for a bit?" I asked shyly. "Sure" he grinned. I led him to the backyard where the little cabin was. "Where are we?" he asked. "It's my room" I explained. I opened my purse and took out my key. I unlocked the door and gestured him to come through. I led him into my room. "Wow" he said, "It's nice" "Thank-you" I said. We both went into my room and sat on the bed. "Let finish getting to know each other. It was your turn to ask a question" I said smiling at Emmett. "Name one hidden talent you have." He said. I felt my heartbeat increase. I couldn't tell him about that, not yet. "I can sing" I said. "Can you—" "Ah ah ah. My turn. Do you like your name?" "Yes, mostly because my parents named me it though. Now can you sing me something?" "Sure, one minute." I got up and put a cd in the CD player. "This is just background music" I said and pushed play.

"That was amazing" Emmett said staring at me with warm golden eyes. "Thanks" I whispered. Somehow I had gotten really close to him. So close we were almost touching. Slowly we leaned in. Gently our lips brushed against one another. All I could feel were his cool lips. Sparks exploded in my head. It was amazing. Slowly our kiss got more passionate until finally we broke apart. I gasped for air. "That was amazing" I said breathlessly. "It sure was" he said looking down at me with an unreadable expression in his eyes. "Now I now we normally don't kiss before this happens but Emma Swan will you please go on a date with me?" he asked. "Yes I will go on a date with you Mr. Cullen" I said smiling. He hugged me grinning from ear to ear. BEEP! BEEP! "My car is here" I squealed excitedly. "Well let's go then. Hopefully you have better taste than your sister." He said walking beside me.

There it is my baby. Beside me Emmett whistles appreciatively. "Nice car, babe." He says grinning down at me. "Thank-you" i said. I went up to the delivery guy and signed the papers for my Aston Martin 1-77. Afterwards me and Emmett said goodbye as he had to get home. "Bye" I said hugging him. "Laters, Baby" he said kissing me. I waved as he pulled out of the driveway.

After Emmett left I walked into the kitchen. Bella had not gotten home yet so I was waiting for her. About 15 minutes later I heard Bella arrive in her monstrous truck. I helped her unload all the groceries. We shoved the stuff in any available cupboard. I hope dad won't mind. After we were finished I helped Bella prepare dinner. We wrapped potatoes in foil and stuck them in the oven to bake, covered a steak in marinade and balanced it on top of a carton of eggs in the fridge. "What was your problem this morning?" I asked Bella. "There was no problem" she responded. "Don't lie. When I mentioned Emmett your smile became forced. What's wrong?" "Nothing's wrong" she replied not looking at me. "Bullshit. What is the matter?" I asked. "It's just there is something different about that family." "That's it, Bella?" I asked in disbelief. "I'm just worried" she said. "And I love you for that but Emmett would tell me if I was in danger. I really like him. He makes me happy and I would appreciate it if you gave him a chance." I said. "Okay, for you" she said smiling.

When we were finished with that, we went our separate ways. I went to my room and Bella went to hers. When I got to my room I changed into a pair of sweats. Afterwards I got started on my homework. I had a couple questions in both Biology and Chemistry and a worksheet in both English and Spanish. My homework was easy and I finished it in 75 minutes. After I was done I started up my Mac laptop. Once it was loaded I logged onto my e-mail. I had a couple of new e-mails. I opened the first one.

"Emma," my mom wrote... Write me as soon as you get in. Tell me how your flight was. Is it raining? I miss you already. I'm almost finished packing for Florida. Do you like it there? Are you and Bella still sharing a room? Phil says hi. Mom. I sighed and went to the next. It was sent eight hours after the first.

"Emma," she wrote... Why haven't you e-mailed me yet? What are you waiting for? Mom. The last was from this morning.

Emmalina, if I haven't heard from you by 5:30 p.m. today I'm calling Charlie. I checked the clock. I still had an hour, but my mom was well known for jumping the gun. "Mom," I wrote … Calm down. I'm writing right now. Everything is fine. Emma. I sent that, and began again. Mom, Everything is great. Of course it's raining. I love it here. It's been a busy few days and I haven't had time to write. I met someone. His name is Emmett Cullen. Our first date is tomorrow, I'm so excited. His sister Rose is becoming my best friend. Dad renovated a cabin in the backyard which is where I sleep. It is nice and peaceful here. I needed it after what happened. I miss you, too. I'll write again soon, but I'm not going to check my e-mail every five minutes. Relax, breathe. I love you. Emma. xxoo

I finished reading the rest of my e-mails. They were from friends back in Phoenix. Most of them I wasn't close to. There were only one or two people back home that I was close to but they are still not my best friends. After I replied I checked my facebook. There was nothing interesting there so I checked my twitter. Most of my friends ask how Forks is. I quickly typed a reply. EmmaSwan I'm really enjoying it here in Forks, Washington. Everything is beautiful and very green. The air is fresh and the people are very welcoming. #Going Green

I just logged off when Bella called me in for dinner. I walked out of my room and into the house. I entered the same time as Dad. "Smells good, Bell, Em." Dad said. "Thanks." Bella muttered. "Yeah, Thanks daddy!" I exclaimed. We ate in silence for a few minutes. It wasn't uncomfortable. "So, how did you like school? Have you made any friends?" he asked us as he was taking seconds.

"Well, I have a few classes with a girl named Jessica. I sit with her friends at lunch. And there's this boy, Mike, whose very seems pretty nice." Bella said. "That must be Mike Newton. Nice kid - nice family. His dad owns the sporting goods store just outside of town. He makes a good living off all the backpackers who come through here." Dad replied. "Do you know the Cullen family?" Bella asked hesitantly. "Dr. Cullen's family? Sure. Dr. Cullen's a great man." "They... the kids... are a little different. They don't seem to fit in very well at school."

Charlie looked angry. Good or I would have said something. "People in this town," he muttered. "Dr. Cullen is a brilliant surgeon who could probably work in any hospital in the world, make ten times the salary he gets here," he continued, getting louder. "We're lucky to have him - lucky that his wife wanted to live in a small town. He's an asset to the community, and all of those kids are well behaved and polite. I had my doubts, when they first moved in, with all those adopted teenagers. I thought we might have some problems with them. But they're all very mature - I haven't had one speck of trouble from any of them. That's more than I can say for the children of some folks who have lived in this town for generations. And they stick together the way a family should - camping trips every other weekend... Just because they're newcomers, people have to talk."

It was the longest speech I'd ever heard Charlie make. He must feel strongly about whatever people were saying. Bella backpedaled. "They seemed nice enough to me. I just noticed they kept to themselves. They're all very attractive," Bella added. "You should see the doctor," Charlie said, laughing. "It's a good thing he's happily married. A lot of the nurses at the hospital have a hard time concentrating on their work with him around. What about you Em, any friends?" he asked. "I'm mostly friends with Emmett and Jason Cullen and Rosalie Hale. They're all really nice and funny. We clicked as soon as we met. I feel like I've known them for years." I said. "That's good." He said sounding happy.

"Speaking of friends I was wondering if I could go shopping with them this weekend." I asked. "Where?" "Well we wanted to go to Edmonton. The mall has over 700 stores and I need more winter clothes. I'll pay." I said. "I suppose. Who's all going?" he asked. "Well me, Rosalie, Jason, Emmett, Alice and Jasper. Edwards away." I said. "That's fine. When do you leave?" he asked. "After lunch on Friday and we'll be back on Sunday but I'm going to stay the night at the Cullens and be back at school on Monday." I said. "I give you permission. Just call when you land and check in on Saturday and Sunday at least once" he said.

We lapsed back into silence as we finished eating. He cleared the table while Bella and I started on the dishes. He went back to the TV, and after we finished washing the dishes by hand - no dishwasher - I went to my bedroom and started reading vampire academy by Richelle Mead. At about 10 I put the book down and changed into my pajamas. That night it was finally quiet. I fell asleep quickly, exhausted.

The rest of the week was uneventful besides my date. It was wonderful. Emmett took me to a nice restaurant and then a movie. We saw The Vow. It was a romantic move. I liked it but I could tell Emmett only chose it for me, so I promised we could go to an action movie next time. I also told Dad about Emmett and introduced him. He seems to like Emmett so far.

The rest of the week I also got used to the routine of my classes. By Friday I was able to recognize, if not name, almost all the students at school. I mostly stuck with Rosalie, Jason and Emmett. They were my best friends but I did meet a couple of other people. There was Cassidy, a pretty dark skinned brunette haired girl, Angie, a pale brunette haired girl, Ashley, a pretty blonde haired girl, Diana, a beautiful blonde haired girl, Kayla, a pretty brunette, Naya, a brunette haired Latino, Katie, a pale skinned brunette, Nate, a gorgeous brunette, Alex, a blonde haired guy, Chace, a blonde haired guy, and Nick, a handsome blonde haired guy.

On Friday I was excited. I woke up early and showered and dressed in a black off the shoulder t-shirt, a grey skirt, white leggings, a tan coat, a pair of black ankle boots, a Tinkerbelle necklace, a pair of Tinkerbelle earrings, a believe bracelet and a believe ring. After dressing I quickly hurried into the house. It was only 6.45am but I had to leave at 7.00 am since I had to go to the Cullen's house first. I quickly had a bagel and rushed out the door. I put my suitcases in my car and waved to dad before leaving.

It took about 30 minutes to get to the Cullen house. I would have been faster if I knew where I was going. When I arrived Emmett was waiting for me. "Hey, babe" he said kissing me gently on the lips. "Hey" I said brightly. "Am I taking my car or leaving it here and catching a ride with one of you?" I asked. "You're riding with me if that's okay." He said. "That's fine, babe." I said. I got back in the car and parked closer to the house. Once I finished I took my suitcases and put them in Emmett's jeep.

The rest of the morning passed quickly and before I knew it we were on a plane to Edmonton. It took 2 hours to get to Edmonton. The plane ride passed quickly. Edmonton is an hour ahead of Forks so it was nearing 6 when we got out of the airport. The first night passed quickly. I ate dinner and we all went to one of the clubs. Saturday was full of shopping. It was fun but exhausting. Sunday we spent the day at the amusement Park, Swimming pool and the rides. It was fun and amazing. I got to spend time with each of the Cullen's and we grew closer.

It was time to go home. Next time I hope we go on a holiday so we can go to Paris, London or Italy. When we got back to the Cullen house it was nearing 11. I left my stuff in Emmett's jeep as I would have to put it back tomorrow. We all talked with Esme and Carlisle for a bit before we went to the kitchen. Esme made me some pasta. "Why aren't any of you eating?" I questioned. "We aren't hungry" Alice said. "Now that I think about it I haven't seen any of you eat at all this weekend." I said looking at them. They exchanged a look. "What aren't you telling me?" I asked looking at all of their faces. "Emma…" Emmett trailed off. "Don't Emma me, tell me what's going on." I said. "We can't" Rose said apologetically. "Why not?" I asked. "It's dangerous." she responded. "I don't care. Just tell me what's going on." I demanded.

"We're vampires!" Emmett blurted out. I started laughing. I couldn't help it. I looked at their faces. They were completely serious. My laughter drained away. "You're serious." I said quietly. "Yes." Emmett said without his usual joy in his voice. My heart started to pound. Was this weekend just a ruse to kill me? Now that we were in private are they just going to drain me? Was I going to die? I could feel myself getting dizzy. I stood up and swayed. "Emma" Emmett said while reaching out to steady me. I stepped back quickly which was a bad idea. I could feel myself getting dizzier as everything faded to black.

I woke up to the feeling of softness. I blinked my eyes open and took in the room I was in. it had dark brown walls, one wall was glass, tiled floor, a fuzzy mat sat in front of the bed, there was a huge tv set in front of the bed and there was a chair to the side. It was an open room. Behind the tv led into the hall and the closet was too the side. I slowly slid off the bed and walked into the bathroom. I rinsed my face and walked out. Emmett was in the room. "Good, you're up." He said sounding relieved. "Why? So you can eat me." I spat out. "I could never too that you're much too enjoyable to be around." He said cheekily, grinning at me. I could feel myself beginning to melt but I snapped out of it.

"I'm serious." I said crossing my arms over my chest. "Is that why you pretended to like me? So you can get me alone and drain me?" I asked with tears in my eyes. "Never." He said stepping closer to me. "My family and I, we're different from other vampires. We don't drink human blood. Instead we survive off of animals." He explained. "oh." I said. "Emma, I never pretended to like you. I genuinely care for you. My whole family does. While mostly me, Rose and Jason but I digress. I really like you Emma." Emmett said.

"I believe you." I whispered. His whole face lit up and he came and hugged me. "But, before we can continue our relationship I want to know more about vampires." I said. "Okay what do you want to know?" he asked as we sat on the bed. "Everything." I said. "Okay but no interruptions." "Okay" I said. "Let's start with the basics. Vampires are extremely fast, strong, they have enhanced hearing and they are virtually indestructible. The only way to kill a vampire is to rip them apart and burn the pieces. Some vampires have extra powers like causing pain with a look or controlling an element. In my family Edward, Alice and Jasper all have powers. Edward can read minds, Alice can see the future based on people's decisions and Jasper is an empath which means he can feel and control people's emotions. The rest of us technically don't have powers but Jason and I are really strong, Rosalie has enhanced beauty, Carlisle is really compassionate and Esme is extremely caring. Carlisle's theory is we bring over these traits from when we are human." Emmett explained. I nodded to show I understand.

"Vampire's never age, we don't sleep or eat, and we all have what is called a mate. A mate is a person's soul mate. You feel extremely connected to them and they mean everything to you. You can never leave your mate unless they were in danger. You would protect and love your mate for as long as you live. Jason and Rosalie, Esme and Carlisle and Alice and Jasper are all mated couples. Do you have any questions?" Emmett asked me.

"A couple. When were you born and where? How old were you when you turned? Who turned you? Why did you turn? Do you have a mate? Can humans have powers before they are turned in vampires?" I asked quickly. "One question at a time. I was born in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 1915. I was turned by Carlisle in 1935 when Rosalie found Jason and I being mauled by a bear. She carried us both back to Carlisle and begged him to change us. I was 20 years old when I was turned. Yes, I have a mate and I am not sure if humans can have powers but anything is possible." Emmett said. I felt a pang in my chest when I heard he had a mate. I really liked him, maybe even loved him.

"Who's your mate?" I asked curiously. "Well she has long silky dark brown hair, lovely chocolate brown eyes, beautiful creamy olive skin, a heart shaped face, a beautiful smile, white teeth, high cheekbones, a killer figure, she's about 5 ft 6 and she is standing right in front of me." He said smiling. I was stunned for a second then threw myself in his arms kissing him. "I love you" he admitted smiling at me. "I don't know if I'm ready for that yet but I like you a lot and am falling for you fast Emmett McCarty Cullen." I said softly looking into his eyes. He smiled dimples and all.

"Why did you ask about human's having powers?" Emmett asked curiously. "Well I kinda have a power." I said nervously. "Really? What is it?" he asked. In response I lifted the bed with my mind and gently sat it down again. "Cool." Emmett boomed his eyes lit up. "Can we go see the rest of the family?" I asked shyly biting my lip. "C'mon" he said. We walked back downstairs and I saw them all in the living room. "Sorry I was scared of you all. I'll keep your secret and I'd really like it if we kept on being friends." I said looking at them. "We'd all really like that." Rose said speaking for all of them. "I know you probably all heard what I said so do you have any questions?" I asked. "How long have you had your power?" Carlisle asked. "Ever since I can remember. No one knows. My best friend and my old boyfriend used to but they passed away a year ago. I was afraid to tell my family. I thought they would look at me like I was a freak." I said. "Interesting." Carlisle murmured. "Anything else?" I asked. They shook their heads. "Well I'm going to go to bed. Am I sleeping in the bedroom I woke up in?" I asked. "Ya, c'mon I'll show you." Emmett said grabbing my hand.

We went back upstairs into the bedroom I was in before. "I hope you don't mind but I put you in my room." He said looking at me. "This is your room. It's huge. I like it." I said. "Thanks, well your bag is in the bathroom feel free to shower." He said. "Will you be here when I'm done?" I asked. "If you want me to be." He said. "I do." I said. "Then I will be." He said. I kissed him quickly before going into the bathroom. I quickly showered using apple shampoo, conditioner and body wash before changing into my pajamas.

After I was finished I walked back into the bedroom. Emmett was under the blanket already. I climbed in beside him and lay on his bare chest. Wait. Bare. "Are you wearing anything?" I asked quietly. I felt his chest rumble with laughter. "I'm wearing boxers. Now go to sleep love." He whispered in my ear. I snuggled into his body and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning I woke up on Emmett's chest. "Morning babe." He said looking at me with warm golden eyes. "Good Morning." I smiled sleepily. I yawned and stretched before straddling Emmett and giving him a kiss. I quickly hopped off him and showered. I dressed in a grey dress that had two small cut outs on my sides, black leggings, red ankle boots, a red coat, and a red bag.

When I walked downstairs Esme had made me pancakes. I took a sip of orange juice and ate my pancakes. "Thanks Esme. These are amazing." I said smiling up at her. "You're welcome darling." She said smiling at me warmly. After I was finished Emmett and I drove to school in my car.

When we arrived everyone stared. Some people whistled as I stepped out but soon shut up when Emmett glared at them and possessively wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I laughed and snuggled into him. Bella stared at us as we passed and I winked. She huffed and crossed her arms.

Emmett and I looked at each other and laughed as we walked to class. We chatted on the way about movies for some reason. "I still like Thor over Captain America." I said. "No way Captain America is the bomb." Emmett said dramatically. I burst out laughing. "No one says that anymore." I said in between giggles. "Well I do. Are you calling me no one." Emmett said in fake hurt. "Oh I'm only teasing Emmy." I said and kissed him. I groaned as we arrived in class but made no comment. I hung up my coat and Emmett and I sat down at our desk. "Today we are learning about Thermochemistry …"

I smiled when the class finally ended. Emmett and I quickly packed up our books and went outside. Outside the air was full of swirling bits of white. I could hear people shouting excitedly to each other. The wind bit at my cheeks, my nose."Yes!" Emmett boomed out. "It's snowing." I chuckled at him and looked at the little cotton fluffs that were building up along the sidewalk and swirling erratically past my face. "Awesome." I said excitedly bouncing on my toes. My eyes were sparkling. Emmett picked me up and swirled me around as I squealed. Today was going to be amazing.

Emmett and I met up with Rose and Jason as he walked me to my class. We parted ways. "I'll see you in a bit." I said and kissed him. "Bye babe." He said waving. The rest of the morning passed quickly as everyone chattered excitedly about the snow; apparently it was the first snowfall of the new year. I walked with Rosalie into the cafeteria. Emmett and Cam were behind us. I turned around about to ask Emmett something when I saw the snow in their hands. "Emmett, don't you dare." Rose turned around. Emmett and Cam grinned identical grins. Rose and I were about to back up but they were too fast.

They smashed the snow over our heads. I squealed as I felt the icy wetness going down my back. "You better run." I threatened Emmett grabbing some snow. I hurled it at him with perfect aim and he couldn't dodge as he was in public. It smashed against his face. He shook out his hair and advanced on me. I squealed and ran through the parking lot. Emmett caught up to me and picked me up and spun me around. I laughed and kissed him. We finally made it into the cafeteria.

I decided just to eat off their trays as they wouldn't eat it anyway. I looked at Emmett, Jason, Edward and Jasper. They had their hair entirely saturated with melting snow. Alice, Rosalie and I were leaning away as Emmett shook his dripping hair toward us. We were all laughing.

We all calmed down and I started eating off their trays. "That's mine." Emmett said playfully as I went to grab an apple off his tray. "Fine, then eat it. Mr. It's mine." I said smirking. "One second thought…" he trailed off. "That's what I thought." I said smugly biting into the apple. Everyone laughed as Emmett pouted. "Aww poor baby." I said after I swallowed. "Do you want I kiss?" I asked pouting. "Yes." He pouted. I laughed and pecked him on the lips.

The rest of the day passed quickly and in no time Emmett and I were walking to the parking lot. The snow had already meted and it was raining as per usual. "Are you coming over?" I asked as we reached my car. "Do you want me to?" he asked. "Yes Emmett I would really like it if you came over." I said. "Then I will most certainly, my lady." Emmett said bowing theatrically. I laughed and slapped him lightly on the arm. He grinned and jumped into the passenger seat.

We arrived at my house a few minutes later. I led him to my room with him carrying most of the bags from the shopping trip. "So I was thinking we should just get the exes conversation over with." I said as I started to put the clothes away. I peaked at him over my shoulder to see he had frozen. "Do you want me to go first?" he finally asked. "Please, mine is kinda a long story." I said. "While I haven't really had long term girlfriends. Even when I was human. I have had flings over the years but I knew that dating a girl who wasn't my mate would not work." He said honestly. "Okay, my turn." I said as I finished putting my stuff away.

"I've only had one serious boyfriend. His name was Damon. I had been friends with him for a while before I started dating him. I loved him and I was happy with him but he died along with his brother Josh, my best friend Caroline and her boyfriend Cameron. It happened about a year ago. It took me awhile but I'm not crippled by their loss. I'll miss them but I need to move on and I have." I said looking at him. "I'm sorry baby." Emmett said hugging me. "Don't be. Maybe it was just their time but I can't dwell on the what if's and could have's. I've moved on." I said softly. Emmett hugged me and I kissed him softly on the lips. "Thank you for listening." I said. "It's no problem Ems. I love you." He said. "I love you to." I said surprised that I had fallen this fast. He grinned and kissed me.
