I'm alive! I just barely made it through the past weeks, actually, I didn't, but I'm alive, so it doesn't matter. Ah, homework, who doesn't hate I? I know I do, terrible teachers who think we don't have anything to do in our free time. I quote my teacher German language from last year: "I don't care about your social life, your sports or whatever you do after school, homework is more important!" Can we even consider someone like that human?

awesome dt: I'm glad you liked it! And yes, Len loves Rin as a sister, but is it enough for her, or is it not? That's the question... Okay, I think we all know the answer already. xD Thanks for reading and reviewing.

zhane17: Long review... I love long reviews! And I kinda agree with you RinLen is just... wrong... But it's an interesting story element to play with. And I actually like it when they're not related and when the story's well written, just because it's a nice story. xD
And personally, I hate KaitoLen, not because it's gay (okay, maybe slightly because it's gay and I don't see Len as someone who's gay) but because it would make Kaito a pedophile. O_o And our ice cream-loving baka is not a pedophile!
Uhm... This had nothing to do with the story... Anyways, thanks for reviewing! xD

WolfspiritSD: I'm glad you like it! And you really think so? Wow, that just made my day, thanks. :D And I actually think this is our future... Well, a bit less extreme, but with money and success as our main focus, and enjoying ourselves somewhere at the bottom of the list. Yeah, I'm a bit of a pessimist. :p
Anyways, thanks for reading and reviewing, and I hope you enjoy this chapter. :)

I don't own Vocaloid, hell, why would I? xD

Rin's p.o.v (I know I said it was Len's turn, but Rin seems like more fun :p)

Look at them. Their faces red, and both not sure of their next words. Despicable, even pretending to love that girl is impossible, so how could Len even fall for her, for real?

I give them a few more seconds before interrupting the awkward silence which has grown between us. "Are you two coming already?"

I try to hide the disgust in my voice, but I'm sure Len noticed it in my thoughts already. I can see it in his eyes, and feel it in his mind. Whatever, he knows I don't like it when he's with other girls, so it's not my fault.

"We're coming, you don't have to act so impatient." He tells me, but I know it's also for Miku, otherwise he could have said it through telepathy. He's agitated by me, I know because he remains silent in his thoughts while looking at me with an angered impression.

Whatever, we'll work it out later today. The most important thing is that we're finally entering the studio, which is a square room with bright orange walls, which are sound proof. A black carpet lays on the floor.
In one corner stands a lonely wooden chair which Len sits on when he plays the guitar while singing, I never use it myself because Len likes to play the guitar during my recordings.
In the middle of the room stands a microphone which we use whenever we record a song, but there's a second one in the room where we just were.

On the opposit side of the microphone is a large window, behind it is another room full of equipment which we use for recording.

"Len and I will be in that room over there while you're here. Don't start panicking or whatever, just sing in the microphone, we'll be able to hear you, and we'll record it for the bosses to judge." I explained to Miku, who was playing with the microphone as if she'd never even seen one in real before. She probably hadn't, since most of them were destroyed.

"Please, be careful with it, it's not like we can a new one whenever we want to." Len says with an irritated expression on his face, and I feel a bit of a triumph, he isn't going all lovey dovey over Miku anymore. Then again, it could be that he's still irritated by me. And the feeling quickly goes away.

"Interesting, how does this work?" Miku asks Len while pointing at the microphone. "I've never seen one before, but is it an instrument? It doesn't make any sound, or does it? How does it make sound?"

"One question at the time." He answers, but I can see a tiny sparkle in his eyes. Miku's stupid questions made him forget my remarks from earlier. Maybe I'm lucky they did, maybe it doesn't matter, whatever. I know Len loves to explain things. He acts tough most of the time, but when he gets to explain something he gets this tiny sparkle in his eyes. So I let him.

"Anyways, a microphone isn't really an instrument. It's used to amplify a singer's voice or for recording. Just stand close to it while singing and everything should work out fine." He stood close to the microphone and sung a few lines to show her what he meant.

I rolled my eyes. "Making music for dummies?"

Len just ignored me, which surprised me. Normally he would make a snarky comment, but not today. Was it because of Miku? No, that's ridiculous...

"So~ Now I know this micro-thingie works, what should I sing?" She asked it, Miku asked the question! This was going to be a long day...

"Microphone." Len corrected her, and I could see he was about to offer her a list of songs of which she would be unable to choose from, so I quickly stepped in before we spent all afternoon at making that one decision.

"You can sing whatever you like, as long as you're able to sing it." I could feel the faint smile on my face which was directed at Len, and I could see the anger glinstering in his eyes. One should always annoy her older brother when she has the chance to...

I couldn't wait any longer, so I dragged Len off to the equipment room while I left Miku pondering over which song to sing. It, honestly, didn't matter that much to me, as long as she made the wrong choice, had a horrible voice and was rejected as a vocalist. The sooner she was out of my life, the better.

As soon as we were in there Len turned around and pushed the loudspeaker button. "Miku?" The girl looked up confused, trying to find the source of the sudden sound. "Relax, we can talk to you from in here, no need to be confused. Have you decided on a song?" She gave a quiet nod before answering in the microphone. I could barely hold my laughter. She stood very close to it, almost touching it with her lips, talking weirdly, ridiculously articulating each word. Even Len had to turn away from the loudspeaker's microphone because he couldn't hold his laughter.

"I'm going to sing Electric Angel." I nodded in approval, there was no way she was going to make it through her audition now. Electric Angel was a duet by Len and me (1), and there was no way she could sing it on her own. But if she wanted to try it than I wasn't going to stop her, especially not when I actually wanted her to fail.

I could see the doubt in Len's mind, he was staring at Miku with a worried expression on his face, unable to keep his hands still. "Just let her sing it, we'll see how it'll turn out." I told him, and he nodded in approval.

"Okay Miku, good luck." Len said through the loudspeaker. He signaled her to start and turned on the music. Miku was moving her hips to the beat while she waited for the point on which she was supposed to start singing. Finally she started, and to say I was surprised wouldn't be enough.

"I like singing, isn't that how I came to being?

Saying that you like my voice, you've really made me happy!

I didn't understand anything but the binary 0's and 1's, but you taught me the meaning of "I."

From that day on, my heart's empty space is always filled up by you..."

Miku's voice is rather high, it's actually the highest singing voice I've ever heard, and I could be considered "cute". Not that I care about that. The thing I care about is that she can sing. She should take some lessons, there are some repetitive mistakes, but her voice isn't bad on it's own.

And that's the problem. Her voice is a voice you'll remember, it's unique. I'm almost sure she'll pass the test, and that's the problem, I don't want her to pass. One week ago I was fine with it, but that was before I noticed Len's strange behaviour around her. It's not official yet, but I'll tell you, I'm seriously afraid of losing my dear brother to that girl. I'll make her wish that she never joined Vocaloid if she becomes any closer with my brother. That's the promise I made to myself, and I intend to keep it.

First off, I like Rin, I don't think she's like this, this behaviour is purely for story purpose. Secondly, I don't own Electric Angel. Personally, I like the duet of the twins better than Mi,u's version, my opinion. It's probably one of my favourite songs, I'm always trying to sing along. xD

I've chosen for Electric Angel as Miku's artist name. Every time I was thinking about it this came up first, so I decided to roll with it. Oh well, whatever.

I hope you guys don't hate Rin too much because of this chapter, so far she seems to be a bitch who only cares about her own brother, and doesn't want to share him with anyone. But she's probably the most complicated character in this story, besides Len, there're so much great thing you can do with twins, I love writing about twins!

Thanks for reading, and please leave a review if you feel like it. :p

(1) I know Miku's version came first originally, but in this story the twins' duet came first for story purposes. Both are awesome, but in my opinion the twins' version takes the cake. ^_^
