Chapter 13-JJ11 POV- Lucky Day
I wake up feeling groggy and a little discombobulated, I'm used to it now. I pull out the needle, that was giving me the medicine to keep me from turning into a good guy, like what little bird-brain did. I'll never understand why Robin didn't like the Joker. I've heard he's the best of the best. But anyways it's time to go talk to the little arachnid. At least I get to practice acting innocent and scared.
I jump down from my loft and check to see if Sparrow is here. I open her door and she's suiting up. I cough and she turns around.
"Oh, hey Jay."
"Hey", I say walking over to her to give her a hug.
Yeah, we have feelings too.
I pull her into an embrace.
"Well, I have to go talk to that annoying spider to see if he'll talk. Oh and Quinn showed me the video of you killing that old grandma. Impressive." I say, then walk out before she says anything. I don't want to get too distracted. I go into the bathroom and whip up some fake tears and make it look like I'm a hopeless wreck. Then I walk down to the chamber that he's being kept in. I have Harley handcuff me and put on an act to show Spidey that I might actually be scared. She throws me in there and chains me to the wall, she slips off my cuffs and walks out locking the door behind her. What Spidey doesn't know is that I have the keys. I start to cry and put my head into my knees.
"Hey, kid", says Spidey, "what are you in here for, aren't you Sparrows monkey?"
Her monkey? He's going to pay for that.
"W-what?" I say.
He looks at me sympathetically and he says,
"Hey, sorry, what happened, why are you in here?"
"Well, the gas wore off and Quinn doesn't have anymore, so she can't control me, the only way for me to help you is if you tell me where the Bat Cave is, then I could help you out of here."
"Why do you need to know where the Bat Cave is?"
"I heard that the cure is there."
"Well, I'm sorry, I can't tell you."
I silently unlock my chain around my ankle and stand up. I walk over to him and grab his face,
"You better tell me or I'll make you suffer, just like Sparrow made your old lady suffer."
He looks down and I see a tear slip out of his crooked eye.
I kick him in the gut and start laughing, I turn to walk away from him, but he grabs my ankle, not skipping a beat I use my other foot to kick him in the face and when he lets go of me I go up close to his face and whisper in his ear.
"We've found your girl."
And with that I start laughing and walk out of there not forgetting to lock the door behind me.
Now it's time for the real mission: Kill Blunder Wolf.
I grab my grapple hook and meet Sparrow on the roof and he take off, the next hour is a blur, we find Ms. Blunder, but she gets away. This time I'm going off by myself. Painful memories shoot into my brain.
'No, I can't think of those now, I must carry on.'
I leap to the next building and jump down, into the alley below. I run on the street trying to figure out where she went.
"Hey, did you see a girl that looks like a wolf or something like that?"
"Oh, ummm, sure, she went that way." They said almost sounding uncertain.
"Thanks."
I sprint in that direction until I find what looks like to be an abandoned place. It almost looks like a cave.
The pieces click in my head.
"Bingo."
