chapter 16 - a bird with a broken wing
Alyn's POV
I gasped as someone feel on me. Thinking it's some homeless person or a drunk again, I quickly shove them off. But then I see its Robin. Its Robin!
I pull out my pager and batman quickly appears. He's fast. "Take him to the cave. " he growls and goes to look for a door. I nodded and pulls robin onto my back. I try to run to the cave without tripping and end up stumbling some.
When I get inside the cave, I set Robin on the couch. I hesitate but then pull off his mask to show a boy I go to school with. His face Ian how I see it in school though, it's beat up and thinner. I brush hair out of his face to look at it more. I wish he showed it more when he was here. It a shame. He kind of attractive.
He'll look more attractive when he's in better health.
I shake my head fast and start undoing his cape. I lift him some to pull the cape out from under him. I remove his belt and boots. I sit there before running over into where I keep my extra clothes and grab some shorts.
I come back and roll him onto his side and tug at the zipper but then become hesitate but then think 'no, this isn't bad if I'm doing it to help him.' And yank the zipper completely down. I move him back on his back and yank the robin suit off and slip the short onto him.
I run off again and return with a blanket and toss it over Robin and move it so his face isn't covered. I need hospital stuff.
I hear a click behind me and turn to see the butler guy standing there. I scramble to pick up robin's clothes and hand them to him. "Could you wash these for me and then watch robin for about 10 minutes." He nods and I await his return from the washer machine before I run to the nearest hospital.
I slip into the place where they keep everything. The storage place. I grab the stuff I need and run back without being seen.
I quickly get the bird boy patched up and hooked up the one of those water bag thingys. I hook a string to the ceiling and it hangs down to a few feet above robin with is low enough and I attach the bag to it so the water will drain into Robin.
And then I wait. Wait for Robin to wake up. Wait for batman to return. Wait to see if they had Spider-Man and if they did, if he's okay. Wait to hear how bad Batman kicked they're asses. Wait to hear that they're in jail now.
I wait.
