Luna flew thru the cold crisp night air. The rays of the sun bounced off her beloved moon and nestled on the feathers of her blue wings. Her face showed determination mixed with anger. Her anger was well placed. For the most part. She had not expected Sombra to be living in such conditions, and as a prince should be groomed to rule his land. Although Luna could not argue that it may have done Sombra good to live such a hard life. To struggle and rely on the towns people to survive. It would instill trust in the young colt, and when he finally ruled the Crystal Kingdom he would treat his subjects with kindness and the respect Osirus had failed to show to his people. Her heart grew heavy at the thought of Sombra and the subjects of the Crystal Kingdom suffering at the hands of another evil tyrant like Osirus. After all, Luna received very little love from the residents of Canterlot or any part of Equestria other than the night loving crystal ponies.
The castle of the kingdom came into view as Luna drew closer and closer to the home of Osirus. The crystals twinkled and shined in the moon light like a beacon begging Luna to honor the ground with her dark presence.
Luna was more than happy to oblige, and landed gracefully. She expanded her wings to their fullest length and glided closer to the ground, her speed decreasing as she came closer to her landing. As Luna touch the ground she started in a trot in order for the momentum she had built to slowly dissipate. Her silver shoe covering clanking against the cobblestone roads that winded there way across the entire kingdom.
A few guards had noticed her presence, and ran over to assist her. Their metal armor scraping against their crystal bodies. Their armored hooves clanking against the ground as each heavy hoof made contact with the ground.
"Princesses Luna," The guards bowed. "How may we assist you?"
"I wish to converse with the king," The guards nodded and lead the way. "We have much to discuss." The princesses followed the guards as they made their way to the throne room. The room was monumental in size. Large enough to house twenty ponies with no comfort sacrificed. The throne room was carved out of pure alabaster with crystals placed symmetrically throughout the room. Fire lite the room in a bright blaze held in the air by magic. A red silk carpet ran from the opening to the throne itself where Osirus sat. Osirus held a look of boredom as he toyed with one of his two concubines that sat on either side of him.
"Well Luna," He smiled. "What reason could you have to grace my kingdom with your presence?" As he spoke he placed his hoof on top of the right concubine's head. "I don't suppose you seek to warm my bed tonight."
Luna tried her best to keep the bile down her throat. "We are here about Prince Sombra!" She scowled. Osirus's snout curled is annoyance.
"That little cur," He snarled. "He has no right to bear the title Prince. If one of these worthless mares would bear me a child worthy of my crown I would crush the little disappointments skull beneath my hoof." As he mentioned a new child the two mares flinched from the memories of their previous activities with the foul ruler. Luna notice the collars around their necks; chains slithered their way from their bondage to the throne. Luna forced herself to look the monster in the eye.
"If you despise Sombra so much," Luna said coolly. "Why not let him leave with me? Let me take him under my wing, and teach him. He could be the next prince of Sadlearabia; the king is without an heir and would be delighted to take Sombra. With Sombra as the prince, trading could be open between the nations once again. It will be beneficial to everpony."
"No."
"Why not?" Luna demanded.
"Because he is mine and I will not relinquish what is mine." Osirus roared. Luna's gaze grew stoney and cold.
"Is that all he is to you?! Is that all your subjects are to you?!" She stamped her hoof in anger. Osirus's smile grew in amusement.
"Yes," He answered. "Mares to fulfill carnal pleasures, and stallions to die for my amusement in war. Is that not what they are good for?" He asked his last question with genuine curiosity. He obviously considered only himself worthy of any form of respect.
"We have tried to reason with you, and we grow tired of you." Said Luna.
"Then leave," He ordered. As Luna was walking away Osirus ordered a new pair of mares to replace the two he had already grew tired of. Two guards unshackled the two mares and lead them out. As they walked their back legs limped from the pain of Osirus's assaults. Two new mares took their place, both with tears flooding from their eyes. Luna left the room and as she did two large wood and iron doors slowly closed with a loud echo. Even as Luna walked farther from Osirus she could her the mares moan and cry out in pain. Luna could not help but to vomit. Her insides burned as she heaved. Two guards ran over to help her.
"How?" She questioned them. "How can you willingly serve him?" The two stallions were taken back by her question.
"We have to," One answered. "He has family of ours. Sisters, daughters, brothers, and even sons. He will kill or 'use' them unless we serve him. If we do then they are only prisoners, and not slaves."
"I'm sorry I didn't know." She lowered her head. "If only I could stop him." Luna wanted nothing more than to dethrone the narcissistic king, and have him executed for his crimes. If she did however she would break the treaty that she and her sister had made with every ruler of Equestria. If she broke that treaty then nations could wage war with each other. A war that even Luna and Celestia could not stop.
"Its okay princess," the second guard reassured her. "He is not immortal like you are. Time will do what we cannot."
Luna left the castle behind her saddened by what she had seen. She could only imagine what the two mares had been thru. The torture they would go thru on a daily basis as Osirus would rape them until one conceived a new heir. Or the pain the guards dealt with as they served the pony that held their family captives. Luna could still feel bile burning its way up her esophagus.
"Osirus, you will pay one day for your travesties." Luna swore.
