A/N: Thank you all for reviewer! I don't have time to thank you individually, but I cherish each and every one of you!
Okay, so, this chapter gets on my nerves only because of how Andy is acting, but I'm doing it for a reason. So try to enjoy this chapter, and I apologize in advance if you're not happy with this either. Oh, and another thing that a reviewer was wondering: there is not going to be anything else with Anastasia, she is dead and is staying that way. Once im finished with season four, the whole doppelgänger mess is going behind them.
Another thing: I had Andy's Halloween costume picked out for this episode LONG before last week's episode of TVD! I did NOT steal the idea!
Poison & Wine - Chapter XLV

"Please don't be angry, but Damon, Elena, and I are crashing Bonnie's trip to Whitmore College," I explained to Matt as I pulled my hair into a ponytail. We were sitting at the bar in The Grill. "The professor that took over her Grams' classes, he invited her so she invited me to come with her... Plus Damon and my therapist said I should get out of town for a day."
"But it's Halloween," Matt argued with a frown. "We always buy loads of candy and have a video game marathon."
"I know don't hate me, but I really think need this," I looked down at the cup of water I hadn't touched. I missed Elijah desperately, but knew I needed to let him go so he would be safe from everyone here. I was trying to stay positive and happy. I wasn't too happy to go with Elena, but I knew I'd have to be around her sooner or later.
"I suppose I'll be okay," Matt gave me a smile. "You'll have to make up for it, though."
"Oh, definitely!" I smiled back at him.
"Andy," Damon said as he walked over to me. "Time to go."
I gave Matt a quick kiss on the cheek and hug before going over to Damon. "Ready for our honeymoon, sweetheart?"
"Whenever you are, love," He said, putting his arm around my solider as he directed me towards the door. I cringed slightly at him saying 'love,' which he didn't miss his chance on calling me out for. "Oops, Klaus still a sore subject?"
"If there weren't so many witnesses, Salvatore, I'd kill you," I shoved him away from me as we exited The Grill.
"Like you could handle all this,"
"Well, I managed in the past I'm sure I could handle it now," I snapped back at him as I opened up the car door. Elena and Bonnie were already waiting in the backseat talking. As Damon got in, I turned around to face Elena to ask, "You're not going to suck my blood if I turn my back on you, right?" Damon snorted, a smirk on his face.
"No, I would never!" She quickly shook her head.
"I'm kidding," I said as I turned around to face the front. "Damon, are you the only one around here who understands anything humorous?"
"Oh, sweetheart, you know it's you and me against the world," He winked over at me, reaching over and putting his arm around my shoulders. "You have comfortable shoulders.
"Yeah, I'm pretty amazing," I said as I pulled out a book of various crossword puzzles and a pen. "Who's ready for some sweet crossword puzzles?"
About forty minutes later, we neared Whitmore College. Damon's arm still rested over my shoulders and I had snuggled up a bit to his side - as much as the bag in between us would allow. We had gotten through a ton of crossword puzzles in the time.
"How are you feeling anyways?" Bonnie asked Elena as I flipped to check the answers in the back.
"Good. I guess I was lucky Klaus is in town,"
"Wait, what?" I turned to look at Elena. "Did you just say Klaus was in town?"
"Yeah," Elena nodded slowly, staring at me in slight wariness. "That hunter Connor spiked the beer at Rebekah's house with werewolf venom and I drank it. Klaus gave me his blood to save me."
My heart was hammering in my chest as I turned forward. "Wow," I murmured, looking down at my hands. "Elijah told me he was in Chicago... He didn't come see me in the hospital."
"Why were you in the hospital?" Damon asked me.
"Just some injuries I was getting checked out," I whispered, looking out of the window. I was wondering why Klaus had saved Elena. Was it for me? I mean, he had no other reason than that to save her... I couldn't help but allow a smile to form. Klaus had saved Elena despite everything we'd said to the other.
Soon we got to Whitmore College and climbed out of the car. As we did so, Elena looked to Bonnie. "Are you sure that you're okay with this?"
"If I could spell you out of wanting blood, I would, but I can't, so better you learn this now than at freshmen orientation," Bonnie responded. I remembered Damon mentioning that Elena was having a blood problem.
"Something tells me that college isn't in my future anymore," Elena sighed.
"Oh, stop with the pity party. If I can go to college, you can go to college," Damon said as he walked over to my side and nudged me playfully.
"You went to college?" I questioned with a raised brow.
"Sure, plenty of times. I always had a thing for sorority girls," Damon smirked at me.
"You're disgusting," Bonnie made a face.
"I know," Damon said.
"Which is why I love you," I said to make him feel better. I offered him my arm. "Shall we be off, my good sir?"
"I'd be honored," Damon said as he put his arm through mine. We walked off from Elena and Bonnie, but they were close behind us.
"Can I talk to you, Andy?" Elena asked on our way to Bonnie's Grams old classroom.
"Sure... " I cautiously eyed her as she fell behind Bonnie and Damon. "What is it?" I asked once there was a good ten feet in between us and them.
"Are you and Damon... together?"
"Oh, my God," I rolled my eyes at her. "Why should that concern you?"
"Because I'm your sister and... "
"...And you have feelings for Damon," I finished in a bitter tone for her. We had stopped walking and turned to face each other. "If Damon and I were together, you shouldn't be jealous. You made your choice and it was Stefan. You don't have any say in who Damon dates. If I want to be with Damon and he with me, then we'll get together. You don't have a say in it whatsoever." I then marched back to Damon and Bonnie - who were stopped waiting for us - and went past Damon.
"What was that about?" Bonnie questioned me as I pulled her arm to start walking with me.
"Warning me about Klaus," I huffed out, glancing over my shoulder to see Elena walking with Damon a few feet behind us.
When we got there, the classroom was almost full. As we entered, we caught the beginning of the professor lecture.
"When I say the word 'witch,' what pops into your head?" The professor, who was a male and actually more attractive than I thought he would be, begun with. "Halloween costume? Villan of a fairy tale? Maybe an ex girlfriend? Well, whatever image it is it's probably not-" he flipped to another slide. "Tanyell Soso of Montego, Cameroon."
We sat down in the dark classroom in this order: Damon, Elena, Bonnie and then me. We three girls stared down at the professor, checking him out. He was medium height and build. He has curly dark-brown hair but I couldn't see his were color from here. He definitely had an engaging demeanor and overall attractive appearance. "Is that him?" Elena whispered.
"Yeah," Bonnie nodded, her expression showing she was completely in awe.
"He's kind of... "
"Hot," Bonnie agreed.
"Remember not to bring out the good China for just anyone," I whispered with a small grin. I heard a small chuckle from Damon, but gave this professor - who I couldn't remember the name of - my attention as he spoke.
"Now, in reality, or in this reality at least, witches appear to cross every culture in history. They're the architects of the supernatural; responsible for everything that goes bump in the night from ghosts to vampires to doppelgängers,"
Huh. If only he knew there were two vampires - one of which is a doppelgänger - a witch, and another doppelgänger.
I heard Damon whisper, "What is this guy, Witch-apedia?" Elena laughed and I snorted at him, but Bonnie nudged us both. "Shhh, shut up," She hissed, obviously captivated by the man.
"Now, if you're a skeptic, you'd call that a coincidence. But, if you're a true believer, you know that there's really no such thing. It scares the crap out of us,"
During the next part of the lecture, I heard Elena whispered to Damon, "What if I'm a Ripper?" They whispered something else to one another I couldn't make out. It was a moment later I could faintly make out Damon's words.
"Now, she is a fun size, a tutor. Geeky girls are inheritantly suspcious of anyone who is nice to them. What you want-" I leaned back in my seat and looked at them from the corner of my eye. He placed his arm around her shoulder and points at a blonde girl. "-is the little blonde, pretty girl. Self absorbed, easily flattered, you just have to separate her from the pack and make your move."
"Am I interrupting you guys?" My eyes snapped to the professor who was looking at Damon and Elena. "Or is it maybe the other way around?"
"Sorry," Elena said sheepishly.
"I was just saying how much I love witches," Damon, being the sarcastic SOB he is, said.
"Yeah, you and me both, brother," There was light bitterness in his tone, but he turned away from them. "Alright, listen, we should probably talk about the readings that none of you did."
The lecture lasted for a good while longer before it was dismissed. Once it was, Damon and Elena left while Bonnie and I went up to the professor. She didn't want to go up to by herself so she dragged me along. "Professor Shane?" Bonnie said as we walked up to him. He was gathering papers off a desk.
"Yes?" He didn't look up from what he was doing.
"Bonnie Bennett,"
He instantly stood up straight and turned to us. "Oh, hello,"
"This is my friend Andy Gilbert," She introduced me.
"Your witch lecture was very informative," I said, grinning at him and slightly nudging Bonnie. She was watching him like he was Ryan Gosling in The Notebook.
"I'm glad you listened unlike your friends,"
"Well, I've been told I'm a good student,"
He smiled and looked over to Bonnie. I could now see he had greenish eyes. "I found some stuff of your grandmother's in my office, but I'm afraid going to have to dig it up for you."
"Oh, that's cool, I don't mind waiting," She told him with a small smile.
"Okay. You can drop by at nine tonight. You know where to find it, right?" She quickly nodded. "Good. I better go. It was nice meeting you two." We said good-bye and he was off. As we left, I started laughing.
"You could at least wait until I'm not around to start picturing him naked," I teased, poking her side.
"I wasn't picturing him naked!"
"Please, you're as bad as Caroline!"
We laughed as we left the building. As we walked, a guy with spiky blonde hair and a pink polo - that showed off some muscles - walked up to us. He was handsome with his blue eyes, but was no Elijah.
"Hello ladies," He grinned at us, his eyes going down my body to my legs which were exposed in my shorts. Usually I wouldn't have worn this, but I felt like it today. Probably because I wanted the college guys to get a look at me.
"Hello, frat boy," I said, folding my arms.
"You're cute,"
"And out of your league,"
His grin grew. "There's a murder house party at my fraternity tonight. Interested?" He held a flyer out to me.
"Why not?" I took the flyer from his hand, making sure that my hand skimed across his.
"I'll see you tonight, lovely," He winked at me before walking away.
I looked over at Bonnie to see her giving me a look. "What? I made Elijah leave so I'm lonely," I paused a moment, realizing how pathetic I sounded. Shaking my head, I continued walking and she followed. We didn't talk as we looked around for Elena and Damon.
When we spotted them they seemed to be arguing. As we approached, we caught the end of Elena's sentence. "...your master plan to turn me into a super vampire."
"What's going on?" Bonnie asked, looking in between them with wariness.
"Nothing. Elena is educating me on the importance of feelings," Damon basically rolled his eyes.
Elena decided to change the subject. "Did you talk to the professor?"
"For a second. He found some stuff of my Grams' in his office and he's gonna dig it up for me," She answered.
I held up the flyer. "Looky what I got my hands on,"
Damon grabbed it, Elena reading over his shoulder. "Oh, nice, the answer to all of our problems. A frat party: douche central... Which is why, you'll be eating very well tonight." He smirked. Bonnie just looked disgusted, but I kept my face neutral. I had kissed Klaus and Elijah at this point who had both killed their fair share of people.
Damon looked at me. "So, what should we go as? Victims or killers?"
"Well, there's always Jack the Ripper,"
I felt my heart practically jump out of my chest as I turned towards the voice. "Kol!" I instantly threw myself into his arms and hugged him tightly. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I did go to Mystic Falls, but was informed you had gone on a road trip," He said as he sat me down, giving me a smirk. I noticed his hair was no longer spiky like it used to be. It was now like Elijah's when I first met him. I had to admit I preferred the spiky hair to this boy band style. "I figured I'd give you the privilege of my company."
"Which is the highest privilege of them all," I grinned back at him. "Well, of course other than my company."
"Yes, let's go with that,"
I laughed and put my hands on my hips. "You're as handsome as ever, but how do I look?"
"Quite ravishing, if I must say," His eyes go down my body. "Are you still interested in Klaus, or do you want to switch brothers?"
"Like you could handle all this," I wiggled my body slightly.
"What are you doing here, Kol?" Damon asked, his tone hard and better from behind me. I turned to face the three to see them giving me judgmental looks.
"I'm here to cheer up my friend," Kol said as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders and pulled me to his side. I rested my head on his shoulder. "My brother said you bunch weren't making an effort to comfort this beauty after Nik's supposed death so I had to make sure she was still sane."
"Can't you guys just be civil for one night?" I asked, looking at the four of them. "No neck snapping or any other torture of the other, okay?"
"Fine," Damon caved first after a long stare down between Kol and him.
"Fine by me," Kol looked down at me. "Shall we go pick out our costumes, love?"
"We shall," I grinned up at him as we turned our backs on the three who were staring at me in disbelief.
Hours later, just after sunset, Kol and I walked towards the fraternity with our arms linked. Kol had wanted to dress up as Vlad the Impaler but I wouldn't let him. Elena, Damon, and Bonnie were walking right behind us, dressed as Jack the Ripper and two of his victims. They all looked hot, but I think Kol and I looked pretty amazing in our costumes because they were way sexier than what Bonnie and Clyde would have actually worn considering what time period they had been in.
Kol and I had gotten along swimmingly. It went so well, I could already tell what our relationship be like: we would flirt, but we would always be friends. We just had that good natured chemistry. I was actually kind of relieved, because I couldn't handle adding another love interest to the mix.
As we walked into the party together, we were greeted by the guy who I saw earlier. "You came," He grinned at me and checked me out despite Kol being at my side.
"Well, I couldn't miss this," I gave him a sweet smile.
"I'm Frankie, unassuming serial killer,"
"Bonnie," I looked to Kol. "This is Clyde."
"Nice costumes," His eyes once again went down my body.
"Thanks, mate," Kol pulled me closer at Frankie's assessment of me.
Damon stepped forward. "I'm Jack," We all took a drink from a table. I made sure Elena didn't see me grab one. "And these are the two lovely ladies I just... Rippered."
"Welcome to the Murder House, Bloody Marys free until midnight. Enjoy yourselves," Frankie looked to me. "Save time for me later?"
"You betcha," I winked at him which caused him to grin again before he walked off.
"Careful, love, you're breaking hearts," Kol said with a smirk.
"Well, it's either break 'em or have mine broken," I squeezed his arm as I leaned on him. We all looked around the room to see people dancing, talking or making out with another.
"Well hats off to these idiots," Damon said as he took hat off and put it back on. We all noticed Professor Shane. "Oh look, Professor Creepy."
"His name is Professor Shane. And he's not creepy," Bonnie said just as Professor Shane looked at her. She handed Elena her drink. "I'm gonna go talk to him."
"You do that," I said, turning to Kol as Bonnie walked towards Professor Shane. "How would my date like to go walk around as we finish our drinks and then dance to our heart's content?"
He smirked at me. "What are we waiting for?"
We left Damon and Elena standing there as we walked off. I was going to have fun no matter what because I needed this. I needed to let go of everything and do whatever I wanted.
One drink eventually turned into eight, and by the fifth I was wasted. In my drunken state I stumbled outside and dialed a familiar number. It rung a few times, but there was a eventually an answer, "Hello?"
"Rebekah... Does Klaus hate me?" I asked into the phone as I fell to the ground. "Because I really want to see him right now but I think he hates me."
"Andy, are you drunk?" She asked.
"I didn't mean to be so mean, but I felt so alone and I feel so alone right now," A small cry escaped my lips. "I made Elijah go, but Kol's with me now."
A new but familiar voice came on the phone. "Andrea Gilbert, tell me where you are this instant,"
"Klaus... you're there! You're really there!" I laughed with tears beginning to fall. "You really came back. You really are alive."
"Of course, love, I never left,"
"Then why did you lie? Why did you hurt me?"
"Because I was protecting myself,"
"I wouldn't have told anyone!" I suddenly yelled, my clouded mind only feeling anger. "I would have protected you with my own life!"
"I know... "
I hung up then and threw my phone to the ground, watching it break into a thousand pieces. I went back in the house and downed another drink before looking around for Kol. He was dancing with another girl so I marched over and cut in, beginning to dance provocatively against Kol. I couldn't even process any thoughts other than I wanted to get back at Klaus for hurting my feelings, even if he wasn't here.
Dancing our what I believed to be twentieth dance, I threw my arms around Kol's neck and leaned to his ear. "I want you to feed on me," I whispered with a giggle.
Kol, somewhat wasted, laughed. "I don't know if you really want me to, love," He slurred.
"Do it," I insisted, leaning my head back to give him better access. "Kol, go ahead. I want you to." Kol was convinced by that and leaned down to my neck. I felt the sharp fangs pierce my neck and I gasped in pleasure, clenching a fistful of his coat in my hand. "Klaus... " I moaned, closing my eyes.
After a second my eyes snapped open, realizing this wasn't Klaus or Elijah. This was Kol.
Just as I was going to push him away, I noticed Elena and Damon in the distance, dancing with two girls. Damon bit the neck of the girl he's dancing with and drank from her. Elena continued to dance with her girl and grabbed her by the shoulders, saying something to her before tilting the girl's head over and biting her neck and drank. She stopped a moment, blood dripping down her chin. She let go of the girl and began to dance again.
Sobering quite a bit when I felt Kol's fangs pull out, I ran out of his arms. I had tears streaming down my face. I made to the front porch before I had to use the wall for support.
I felt like a cheap blood slut. I cannot believe I just allowed that to happen with Kol, of all people.
"Hey you," I looked over to see Frankie standing nearby. I turned my back to him and continued letting my tears fall. "How about that time you saved me?" He grabbed my wrist.
"Get off of me," I snapped, trying to yank away, but he wasn't giving up. He turned me to face him and smashed his lips against mine, his sweaty hands moving across me. I mustered up all my strength and shoved him back, punching him in the face as I did so. I heard a crack. "I said get off of me!" I shoved him down to the ground just as an upset Elena came running out the front door, except she went past me. Bonnie was following her so I decided to as well.
She walked across the lawn, wiping the blood off her mouth. Bonnie and I followed close behind her. Elena turned to face us. "Who am I? Why am I acting like this?"
"Because you listened to Damon and Damon makes everything he wants sound like a good idea," Bonnie said.
"I should be here with Stefan. I shouldn't be here with him. I should be going through all this with Stefan," Elena looked like she was on the verge of tears.
Damon cleared his throat from beside me. "Guessing we should hit the road,"
Bonnie strided over to him. "You were supposed to help her and you let her get completely out of control,"
"She's not out of control. She was having fun," Damon argued.
"This isn't fun. She's acting like a completely different person!"
"She is a different person," Damon snapped in her face. "She's a vampire. We're a predatory species. We enjoy the hunt, the feed, and the kill. When the guilt too bad we switch off our humanity and we revel in it." He looked over at Elena.
"Is that what you want? For her to be like you?" Bonnie demanded.
"She already is like him," I spoke up from my spot. They all looked at me. "I saw her almost attack April and I saw her feeding in there. Call it whatever you want, but Elena isn't exactly who she wants to be. She can either live the life she chose when she started dating a vampire or hold onto her old damsel in distress self."
I sauntered off from them, but it wasn't long before I collapsed on the ground, my body beginning to convulse like a fish out of water. My heart felt like dagger was being stabbed through it. My vision became blurry and my ears were ringing.
"Oh, my God! Andy!" Elena cried from somewhere beside me. "What's happening to her?! Andy! Andy!"
"Rebekah!" I sputtered out before I lost all feeling in my limbs. My head fell back against the hard ground, a low whimper escaping my lips.
"No, Elena, vampire blood doesn't work on her," I heard Damon say from somewhere around me.
"Kol bit her!" I heard Elena squeal.
"Kol... " I whispered, managing to move my neck to look back at the frat house. I saw him walk out of the house at the same time and then within a second he was by my side.
"Get away from her!" Elena shouted, going to hit him but he shoved her back. Damon moved but was shoved back just as far.
"Kol," I gasped. "You have to take me home, now! Something's wrong!"
He instantly picked me up in his arms. "Close your eyes," He instructed and I did so. I felt the sudden rush of wind but no movement. My head was a bit foggy still but I could properly worry about Rebekah now. I don't know how long it was or if it was even a minute, but Kol announced that we were back in Mystic Falls and asked me where I wanted to go. I said the Salvatores.
Another however long it took vampire run, I heard a new voice. "What's wrong?" I heard Stefan's voice.
My eyes snapped open to see Stefan and - my heart started beating quickly - Klaus walking towards us. We were in the doorway of the Boarding House. "Rebekah," I immediately looked to Klaus with wide eyes. "Where's Rebekah?!" I demanded.
Klaus and Stefan met eyes for a moment before Stefan came over and took me away from Kol. "Where's Rebekah?!" I demanded again, unable to move my arms or legs because they still were numb. As Stefan turned his back on them, I noticed a daggered Rebekah to the side. Looking back to Klaus, I noticed a dagger in his back pocket. "Kol, no! Kol! Run!"
Stefan brought me into the living room and laid me on the couch. He touched my bloody neck. "What happened, Andy?"
"What did you do to Rebekah?" I demanded, tears soaking my cheeks.
"Andy, you have to understand―"
Suddenly pain ran through me again. My vision blurred until it was completely dark and my I could feel my body convulse though I didn't have any control over it. Everything in me was in so much pain. All there was was darkness and all I could think was that I was dying.
In this darkness, I could hear a voice calling out my name. It continued to repeat it until I was coming back to. My vision slowly returned to me and though everything was blurry at first, soon all became clear. Klaus and Stefan were standing over me as I laid on the couch in the library of the Salvatore Boarding house. "Andy," Klaus said in a relieved voice.
"Rebekah," I gasped out as I sat up. Thankfully I could feel all my limbs again. "Kol." I looked around, not seeing either. I looked back at Klaus, my eyes narrowing. I felt no joy of being near him, I only felt anger. "You daggered them!"
"I did for a plausible reason," He sat at my feet. "Perhaps we should talk about that after we talk about what just happened to you."
"I had a seizure, I'm fine," I swung my legs over the couch and tried to stand, but my legs gave out and I was immediately back on the couch.
"You're not fine, Andy," Stefan reached towards me but I slapped his hand away.
"I just need a moment," I insisted with ragged breaths, putting my head in my hands. "I feel like I'm being suffocated. How could you dagger them?"
"Daggering them has never had an effect on you like this," Stefan said as he sat on the other side of me.
"It's happened too frequently, the daggerings, I mean," I murmured. "Maybe I'm more connected to all of the Originals than I realized."
"Where did you get that bite mark?" Stefan questioned.
"I let Kol feed off of me, though the vervain gave him a little trouble,"
Klaus' face distorted in anger. "You let Kol feed from you?"
"Yes," Mission accomplished: Klaus was jealous (his eyes gave him away). I had lied about the vervain part since I actually had none left, but they didn't know that.
He looked over at Stefan. "Stefan, shall you or I?"
"I'm on vervain, if compulsion's what you're referring to," I said as I lifted my head to look at him. "I fortunately have my own personal stash so it didn't get burnt up with the council." I lied with the straightest face.
Klaus looked over at Stefan and had an irritated look on his face. I looked forward for a moment before standing up, this time keeping my balance.
My body wasn't handling the daggering anymore like it used to. I felt like I was an eighty year old with arthritis. Slowly making my way to the door I called back, "Rebekah is a better person than the both of you put together. Don't force her to be daggered for long,"
I walked outside and looked around a moment, realizing I had no clue how to get home since I couldn't even find my phone. I think I distantly remember dropping it or something. I started to walk, feeling drowsy as I did so. It wasn't long before I felt something oozing out of my nose and touched it with my fingers then looked at my hands to see thick red liquid on my fingertips.
Something was wrong, terribly wrong. I stumbled quite a few times as I wiped the blood on my costume's sleeve. Tears started coming down my cheeks and I did my best to stop it from bleeding, but it took a few minutes.
As I got farther and farther away from the Boarding House, I could feel Rebekah, Kol, and Klaus. I could sense that they were still back there, but I got a warm feeling from Klaus'... whatever this was. It wasn't anything like I'd experienced before, it was like we were actually connected now.
My head was becoming more and more clouded as I walked, and soon I couldn't even walk. I fell on the ground, landing right on the cement. I had fallen on my side but rolled onto my back, staring blankly up at the dark sky which looked beautiful with all the stars.
I allowed my eyes to close and felt the darkness slowly creep into me, but not until I felt strong arms lifting me up.

The End of Chapter XLV
The only thing that I'm going to say is that the person you think found Andy is not actually who found her. But, if you guess it, I'll post two chapters in the same day (probably Thrusday). Hint: it's not someone who has been introduced in THIS STORY yet but is anti-Silas. Someone has to get that. If not, I'll probably post two in the same day anyway.
