The man produced a gun and motioned for them both to go sit on the couch. "Well, well. I guess this is my lucky day." He smiled at them as they sat down. "I always wonder who's going to show up at my door." He sat down across from them. "You see, I live here all alone with the exception of the occasional lost camper or someone. And now I have two of you here."

"So you're some weird freak who is going to hold us at gun point so you won't be alone?"

"I would watch your tone boy." He said to them. "I'm not going to keep you. I'm going to do what I do to everyone who comes here."

"What's that? Bore them to death?"

He cocked the gun and pointed it at Kate. "I said watch that tone boy. You have no idea who you're dealing with. Have you ever heard of the Wilstone killer? Kidnapped twenty people in the last six months. Held them captive. Tortured them. Then left their bodies to found everywhere." He looked from John to Kate. "That's what you stumbled upon boy."

"You're a serial killer?! You don't seem the type."

He laughed and looked at them. "You never know what people are capable of. Looks are very deceiving, boy. Now, you and your girlfriend here are going to stay here with me until I can figure out what to do." He looked from one to the other. "As for the person after you, you don't have to worry about them."

Kate looked at John. This night just kept getting worse. They hoped Mike and Avery had gotten help and that people would come and look for them.

Mike and Avery walked through the woods hoping it would lead them to someone or something that would help. "There's got to be a path or something somewhere."

"Do you think John and Kate made it out of the woods?" Avery asked.

"I don't know. Right now, we need to focus on getting us out of here and to get help. Then we can think about them." He took her hand. "Stay with me baby."

She nodded and they continued to make their way through the woods. They had to come upon the road soon or a house or something.

Jerry and Bret arrived at the mansion and headed in. Both had gotten a call to come to Jerry's office about the death threats. When they got there, no one was there and they waited for a little bit. Once they realized it was a set up, they rushed back to the mansion.

"Where are the kids?" Jerry asked one of the guards.

"They're sleeping or doing other activities." One of the outside guards said.

"So they're fine?" Bret asked.

"Yes."

Jerry looked at Bret. "Let's go and see. I don't care if we interrupt anything they might be doing."

"Why did you have to put that image on my head?"

"Sorry." Jerry said. "But we have to make sure they're fine." Bret nodded and they walked upstairs. Both hoped they didn't' walk in on anything. They came to Kate's room first and knocked on the door. When they didn't get an answer, Jerry opened the door. "Where is she?" He said when he didn't see her or John.

"Maybe they're hanging out with Mike and Avery." Bret suggested.

"Alright. Let's head to the other guest room and see." Jerry said as they headed down the hall. They came to the door and knocked. Once they didn't get an answer, Jerry opened the door. "They're not here."

Bret looked at him. "Where could they be?"

"Let's check the whole house and I will get the guards to look." Bret nodded and they started looking. As they looked Jerry worried where the kids could be.

"This is ridiculous." John said.

"Do you think?" Kate said as they sat in the bedroom where the person had locked them. "I mean we run from one crazy man only to be held by another."

"Alright, look. We'll sneak out the window."

"How? And what if he is expecting that and has some booby trap there."

John looked at her. "You watch too many horror movies. Let's just go to the window and see. If there is nothing, then we will get out of here." He walked over to the window and saw no traps. "Alright. Let's make a break for it."

"I don't know about this." She said as they stood at the window.

"Kate, I will always protect you. We have to get away from here and get help." He said opening the window. "See? No traps. I'll go first and then help you out. Then we will be out of here." Kate nodded and watched as John climbed out the window and held his hand out to her. "Kate, I will always protect you." She took his hand and he helped her climb out.

Once they were on the ground, they headed back into the woods hoping to come to the main road. They came upon another small house and saw that there was smoke coming from the chimney. John felt Kate shiver behind him and made the decision for them to go in.

"We have to go to that house." He said to her.

"What if it's another serial killer? Or Phil's dad."

"Kate, it's freezing out here and you're cold. We have to go in and get warm. I doubt there are two serial killers in the woods."

"It could happen though."

He sighed and pulled her closer to him. "Kate, we have to take the risk. We have survived so much. We will be fine."

She sighed. "Alright."

"Good." He took her hand and they headed up to the house.

Mike and Avery were huddled in one of the bedroom of the old house when they heard footsteps on the porch. Mike motioned for her to be quiet and she nodded. He heard the front door creak open. They stayed still as they heard the footsteps. The footsteps got closer to them. Mike picked up a board nearby and got ready near the door.

He heard the door open. "Are you sure we should be in here?" He heard in a familiar voice, Kate's voice he realized.

"Yes, no one is here." John said quietly as they walked through the main room.

Mike breathed a sigh of relief when he realized it was John and Kate. "You scared the shit out of me." He said causing them both to jump.

"What the hell are you doing here?" John asked him.

'The same as you." Mike replied. He motioned for them to follow him where Avery was. "We found the house and came in. We have to stay here till morning."

"I agree." John replied. "This is the safest place until we can actually see where we are going."

"You build a fire. I'll gather all the blankets I can find and we will take turns guarding the door." Mike said.

"Sounds good." John said. He turned to Kate. "Go sit with Avery until we get this done."

"She's in that room." Mike said pointing to it. Kate nodded and walked that way. "Now we just have to wait it out until morning."

"Yes, we do." John replied. He walked over to the fireplace that was in the bedroom and started to make the fire bigger. Mike looked around the house and found the blankets.

"Alright. Here are the blankets. Let's get comfortable and wait it out."

Avery looked up as the door opened and Kate walked in. "Oh my God, thank goodness you're okay." Avery said hugging her.

"I'm glad you're okay." Kate replied. "It's just you and Mike here right?"

"Yes. We just stumbled upon this place. I guess you and John did too."

"After we ended up at the house of a serial killer."

"This whole thing is my fault."

"No, it isn't." Kate said to her. "You couldn't have known any of this."

"Doesn't matter. They'll blame me. They already do."

"I don't blame you. John doesn't. Mike doesn't. My dad knows this wasn't your fault. You couldn't have known any of this was going to happen. We all know that." Kate sighed. "Let's just get some sleep and things will be better in the morning."

Avery nodded and they both laid down on the blankets there. Both hoped they all could find help in the morning and be safe tonight.
