Here we go with part 2 of The Final Trio, a chapter I have been looking forward to for about a week since I started working with things, and the battle for this part. Now before we start, I have some things to say. Make no mistake, Naruto isn't showing his true power just yet, but he doesn't like to lose, (I mean who does) so he'll demonstrate some new skills not expected of a 'fresh' graduate. Also, by popular demand, this will now be a NarutoXHarem only. Now then, on with the show.
-Genin Finals-
"Begin! Come at me with intent to kill!" Kakashi commanded; the three Genin nodding before leaping away in separate directions. Kakashi nodded in turn, approving of their choices.
"A Genin couldn't beat a trained Jounin in a straight fight, so attacking from the shadows was a smart choice, this might actually be fun." Kakashi observed as he pulled out his orange book. Reading the page, he began giggling perversely.
Meanwhile, about 100 yards away, the three Genin were crouched in a circle, Naruto drawing figures in the dirt. "So, we're clear on the plan?" The eldest boy asked, his two teammates answering 'yes'.
"Excellent, now then, shall we go get us some bells?" Naruto asked rhetorically as they split up, Naruto heading to Kakashi's rear left, Naruko got Kakashi's rear right, and Sasuke took front and center.
Deciding to begin his part, Sasuke pulled out three shurikan, throwing two, and then the last one a second later. Charging behind them, he attacked Kakashi. However, the silver haired Jounin was ready as he caught the first two shurikan on his fingers, throwing one at the last shurikan, and the other at the charging Sasuke, who blocked with a kunai, the metal striking with a resounding clang!
"All alone? Hmmm, and I thought that I might finally be able to get a decent team. Oh well, at least I'll get to teach them what being a Leaf shinobi is all about before they get sent back to the Academy." Kakashi mumbled as he caught Sasuke wrists, aiming to throw the boy away, only for him to rotate in mid-air and aim a kick at Kakashi's face, which he leaned to the side to dodge as Sasuke flew away.
Rotating around, Sasuke skidded across the ground, a small dust cloud billowing up behind him, the boy disappearing into it as Kakashi lost sight of his opponent, however, he didn't lose his calm demeanor, after all, a hasty decision costs lives, something Kakashi knew all too well.
"Well, you coming or do I have to come and get you, Scarecrow?" Sasuke taunted, using Naruto and Naruko's strategies of taunting an enemy. He doubted it would work on a high-level Jounin, but you never knew.
In this case, however, he was right, it didn't work; in fact, all he got was a flurry of shurikan sent his way that he struggled to block with his kunai. Several got through and pierced his skin, blood staining his shirt as he winced, pulling the pieces of metal out.
Trying to level his breathing, Sasuke saw the attack had cleared the dust away as Kakashi charged him, a kunai in one hand, and his perverted book in the other. Gritting his teeth, he met Kakashi with a kunai of his own, the two fighters pushing against each other, then Sasuke smirked as he dropped low for a split second, Kakashi's force carrying him forward as Sasuke shoulder checked Kakashi's gut, the older man coughing slightly as his breath got knocked out of him.
Reacting quickly, Sasuke leapt back, taking a defensive stance of the Uchiha. As he calmed his breathing, Kakashi looked at him with mild interest.
"Where did that move come from, it wasn't part of the Uchiha's Taijutsu katas?" Kakashi asked, the raven haired boy chuckling lowly as he swung a leg at Kakashi, the man blocking with his hand, Sasuke spinning around to send a punch at Kakashi's face, which was also blocked, finishing the maneuver, Sasuke reached for the bells strapped to Kakashi's pouch. Realizing his intentions, the Jounin moved his lower body just out of Sasuke's reach before throwing the boy into a tree for good measure.
He started to move towards the younger Uchiha when a red haired figure blocked his path, a sword clutched in hand in a style faintly reminiscent of the Flying Crane style. The girl glared with eyes filled with intentions to defend her friend from further harm as Sasuke pushed himself to his feet, leaping into the trees to recuperate.
"Interesting, so that's your plan. Let your teammates try to wear me down, and then you sweep in and take the victory. Well, that is a good plan; however, I'm still going strong so good luck taking my bells." Kakashi guessed as he set himself in a stance designed for unarmed fighters against armed fighters.
"That sounds rather perverse, but okay, since you asked so nicely." Naruko said; a smile on her face that reminded Kakashi of his sensei's girlfriend.
"Now that I think about it, she has the same red hair, same eyes, same confidence, now, let's see if they share the same skill with a blade." Kakashi thought, a slight smile under his mask, although no one could see it.
Seeing as Kakashi wasn't going to move, Naruko struck first, swing her blade in a wide arc from the side, easily blocked, which is what the silver head aimed to do as he reached for her exposed wrist, only for her to flick her fingers down, the blade dropping into her other had just below Kakashi's outstretched hand as she aimed for his gut. However, the man wasn't a Jounin for nothing as he made his body parallel to the ground, Naruko's sword swinging harmlessly under him as he pulled her wrists, pulling the girl into a head butt that sent lights flashing across her vision.
Reeling backwards, she shook the cobwebs loose and tried a different tactic, her blade vanishing into its sheath, its protective seal activating as Naruko swept her feet low, aiming to trip up her opponent, which didn't work as he lifted both feet off the ground again.
"Oh, well, I suppose it still works out right." Naruko mumbled, Kakashi hearing her and wondering what she meant before he saw her lean back on her left hand, lifting her body up and planting both feet in his chest, her leg muscles straining to throw the older man, only for him to grab her foot and spin it, Naruko's whole body barrel rolling in response as she fell in a heap on the ground.
Picking herself up, she glanced at the bushes, pretending to pop her neck with the motion.
"Okay, now let's get serious." Naruko said, throwing a straight punch at Kakashi, who vanished for a second before reappearing behind Naruko, his fingers in the Ram seal.
"You should let your opponents get behind you like that." Kakashi said, only to feel cold steel on his neck.
"No, you shouldn't." Naruto whispered in his ear, the younger male's breathy tone sending shivers down Kakashi's back in slight fear at the boy intentions. "Now then, forfeit the bells, or forfeit your life." Naruto ordered; his tone both breathy and emotionless.
"No, being a shinobi is about dying for your mission, and I have no regrets for falling in battle." Kakashi retorted, confident in his choice of words.
"Really, oh, I wonder what Obito, Rin, or Minato-sensei think about that?" Naruto whispering in his ear, and the man only had time to widen his eyes before Naruto sent a burst of wind chakra into his kunai, severing the man's head from his body. Naruko didn't even flinch at her boyfriend killing a human.
However, within milliseconds, Kakashi's body puffed away into smoke, the memories of the clone going to its creator. When the real Kakashi got the memories, his eyes also widened like the clone's, however, he forced down the urge to gasp, and forced his heart rate to remain a constant rhythm.
Back with the young couple, Naruto helped his girlfriend to her feet, ushering her towards the tree line, where she leapt and disappeared into.
"Well, it appears that I underestimated your skills, and knowledge." Kakashi said, appearing from the tree line across from the blonde. "You managed to sneak up on my clone, not an easy task, I'll assure you. You may have promise; accept you still have some problems to work out. But, it was my mistake in underestimating your experience." The silver head muttered, his book still in front of his face, before he peaked over it at Naruto.
"Say what you want, it doesn't change that you made a mistake. You didn't research your enemies, unlike me, as you could tell. And, I have no problems to work out, unless it is how annoying my girlfriend is at times." Naruto commented offhand, catching a kunai sent at him from Naruko, and using the momentum, tossed it under hand at Kakashi, wind chakra coating it as he blocked with on of his own.
"Really, how about that arrogance that you seem to have plenty of?" Kakashi asked; throwing three kunai at Naruto, however, only two were visible as the third flew in the shadow of them. Kakashi was almost surprised when the young male's hand twitched and shurikan met the kunai in mid-air, followed up by a windmill shurikan that zipped just under Kakashi's radar, tearing into his pants leg.
What did surprise him, however, was when said windmill shurikan puffed in smoke and turned into an exact copy of Naruto, the clone aiming for his head with a falling axe kick. Kakashi could've blocked it, or even dodged it, but he wanted to see just how hard this, this, this shinobi hit, a choice he almost instantly regretted the clone's foot slammed into his head, sending him to the ground, only for Naruto to appear under him, snapping his head skyward, snatching his book from his hand and sealing it away fast enough to avoid detection as Kakashi had his eyes shut from the hit.
Losing his temper for a second, he struck back with a kick, Naruto's neck snapping to the right, blood rocketing out of his mouth as Kakashi punched him in the stomach, finishing the combo with a sweeping kick that tripped Naruto up, before Kakashi planted the heel of his foot in Naruto's gut, more blood erupting from his mouth in a miniature fountain.
Throwing a glance up where he saw Naruko disappear, he expected her to leap down to try to help her significant other; he got an idea as he cast a Genjutsu over her, making it appear as if he killed Naruto. Glancing up, still no response, then, he decided to take it to the next level as pulled out a kunai, cleaving off Naruto's head.
"That should do it, if it doesn't, then at least Sasuke should react, even if by all accounts, he doesn't care about anyone but himself." Kakashi thought before he felt a gnawing on his arm, and glancing down, he jumped in fright as Naruto's head attempted to eat his way through Kakashi's arm.
"You know, killing me really was overkill, I mean, what if I turned out to be your sensei's son huh, how would you feel then?" Naruto's head asked, a second face growing out of the back to speak to Kakashi, who realized the ploy and spiked his chakra,… only for nothing to happen, other than Naruto's body was revealed to be crawling ever closer, two kunai in hand that it used to pull itself ever closer.
Forming the Release seal again, flaring his chakra even more so this time and finding it to fail, he began inching backwards only to run into something. Whirling around, he came face to face with a hobbling man who glared at Kakashi with an empty eye socket. Kakashi tried to get away, only for the man to grasp his arm with an inhuman strength.
"What's wrong, Kakashi? Never seen a zombie before? They say they return from the grave to take back what was stolen from them." The figure said before lunging at Kakashi, clawing with grimy nails at his Sharingan eye. "I regret ever giving you such a gift, its true value is lost on you, you son of deserter, child of a traitor, you'll never be what your father was, because you are so much worse, Kakashi Hatake!" The figure howled, a red Sharingan eye showing as the figure continued clawing at his eye.
Kakashi reacted accordingly, punching the zombie, the undead creature's arm detaching from the impact and falling to the ground with a squishy splat. Jumping back, the Jounin swung his other arm, Naruto's arm flying loose, right onto his headless body, the neck knitting itself back together with fleshy threads.
Cringing as the two 'undead' charged him, Kakashi resorted to Shunshining away into the trees to regroup, only look at the clearing to find neither zombie there, only the prone body of Naruto, who laughed raucously, rising from the ground.
Deciding to go back, if for no other reason than pure curiosity, Kakashi dropped down from a tree, flicking his wrist as several shurikan imbedded themselves in Naruto's body, only for him to vanish in a cloud of smoke, a wind blowing it away to reveal a log skewered by said shurikan.
"So, tell me, how do you like me new jutsu. I haven't totally finished it yet, or came up with a name yet, but I feel confident that it could be a useful tool in the future." Naruto's voice drifted to Kakashi's ears, a faint rustling heard under the sound, barely giving Kakashi time to dodge a dual attack by Naruko and Sasuke, the teens coming in with a classic high/low combo.
"A Genjutsu, he managed to get me with a Genjutsu. I suppose it was partially to once again underestimating him just because he's a Genin, but his file said he failed everything, so why is he so difficult for me to pin down. Oh well, at least these two seem to have figured out the idea behind the bells, too bad for the other one, I would've enjoyed teaching him." Kakashi thought as Sasuke came in with a sliding kick, which the silver head dodged with another small leap upwards, which quickly turned into a leap backwards as Naruko struck downwards with her leg.
Kakashi expected her to hit Sasuke, and possibly cause them to bicker, but instead she tucked her leg under her body, somersaulting to land on Sasuke's feet as he somersaulted as well, lifting his feet in the air and supporting her with his back to the ground. The redhead pushed off of his feet, his bent legs adding in extra force as she hurtled at Kakashi, the older man resorting to a quick Kawarimi to escape, the log covered in explosive tags which exploded at a non-lethal level, still throwing Naruko back into a tree, the girl utilizing the same jutsu to escape as Sasuke replaced her, ready for the impact as he planted both feet into the tree, pushing off and running through a stream of hand seals before launching a giant fireball at Kakashi.
The Jounin reacted quickly, using his own jutsu to block the fireball, a water dragon erupting from the nearby river. The resulting contact caused steam to cover the makeshift battlefield, Kakashi using the cover to run at Sasuke, a well placed punch followed by a straight kick to the gut sending the boy crashing into a tree, spider web cracks appearing across the wood. Sasuke had forced all his chakra to his back to cushion the blow, but it still hurt, the boy howling in pain as he fell in a crumpled heap on the ground, shooting glares at Kakashi, who seemed ignorant to the hatred in the eyes.
Turning to Naruko, he charged the girl, channeling chakra to his feet as he appeared right in front of her, punching straight into his face before she vanished in smoke.
"Shadow Clones huh, both she and that other boy can use them with varying degrees of usefulness, it's too bad they don't know the true use of the Shadow Clone Jutsu or this would be even more difficult." Kakashi observed, right before two blades imbedded themselves in his neck and stomach, the older male barely reacting in time to replace himself with a log covered in explosive notes.
Landing on one side of the clearing, the Jounin saw Naruto and Naruko exit the forest, both clutching blades at their side before they released them, allowing their swords to stay put as they glanced at each other, nodded and both tossed a series of kunai and shurikan at Kakashi, who chuckled at the straightforward attack.
Still, they had two supplies of shurikans and kunai to his one, so he resorted to block a majority of them with two kunai, the signature clang heard around the area before Kakashi tossed a fast set of shurikan back at the young couple, who split up, Naruto to the left while Naruko took the right, both blocking more attacks with kunai as more clangs were heard, the ground becoming littered with pieces of metal, a fact Naruto noted with looking as not to give away his idea.
Naruko apparently was aware of it as well as he replaced herself with one of the kunai that Kakashi had let past, planting her foot in his back, and sending him into the metal covered center of the field. The Jounin caught himself rather easily, flipping over to land on his feet, only for them to land on pieces of metal and slide, dropping the man on his butt.
"Ready, my beloved?" Naruko asked, Naruto smirking and nodding as they flew through hand seals, their hands mirroring each other as they finished at the same exact moment. A wind quickly swept through the clearing, swirling around the center, making a twister, which doubled in size as they hit each other, the pulling force from the winds lifting Kakashi up, the sea of metal following him as he grabbed a pair of kunai to try and block the many hits.
Smirking, the young couple both used Kawarimito put themselves inside the twister, kunai clutched in both hands as they 'teleported' around, using the Kawarimi repeatedly to put themselves in new positions where they struck at Kakashi, the older and stronger man almost struggled to block the vast multitude of strikes, managing to block all the major ones, but his body was still littered with tiny cuts, either from the wind or metal zipping around, or the two troublemakers working in tandem.
Kakashi tried to replace himself several times over the course of his flight, only to not be able to, and he wasn't given enough time to think about it as all his attention went to blocking metal.
Finally, having enough, Naruto and Naruko replaced themselves with logs on the ground, the logs being destroyed instantly inside the hurricane force winds. The pair smirked once more before spiking their chakra, the winds increasing tenfold just long enough to send Kakashi flying into the air, higher than he had chakra to replace himself with something.
Falling down, he crashed into the ground as he was shoved into the ground by the winds, not having long enough to find something to replace himself with. It was only by landing in water that his managed to stay conscious as he swam to shore, glancing at the sun to find it about one hour away from noon.
"Okay, that was a good move, but you still didn't get the bells so you could still fail." Kakashi said, only to realize that no one was around, the clearing empty of people, the silence a bit unnerving as he expected something big and flashy to happen any second.
Suddenly, he heard a rustling to the side as he spun in that direction, a kunai already on its way, which was blocked by a stone-faced Naruto with a wind coated kunai.
"You know, I think you may be…" Naruto started, sitting down calmly in a meditative stance.
"Underestimating us just a tiny bit, after all…" Naruko started, rising from the river as she seemed to appear from nowhere, sitting on a rock in the center of the flowing water.
"Just because we don't look like much…" Sasuke continued, leaning against a tree as the sun sifted through the leaves, causing half of his face to be shrouded in shadows.
"Doesn't mean we aren't…" Naruto continued, his tone level and light, like the wind as it calmed.
"Because a shinobi's best weapon…" Naruko mumbled, her tone rising in pitch before dropping too low to be heard.
"Is deception, being the dead last is a true testament…" Sasuke said as he began forming seals, Naruto and Naruko also started, although Kakashi prepared himself to counter the attacks.
"TO A TRUE SHINOBI"S SKILLS!" The trio shouted together as they slammed their hands down, water swirling up behind Naruko to from a giant whirlpool that floated in the air. Naruto did his part, using the wind to separate the water and carry around the water in small streams as the swirled up like strings of a rope before being bound. Sasuke also finished his part, a beam of Lightning chakra spreading among the water as the wind carried around the field, slowly closing in on Kakashi, who couldn't find a way out, other than to resort to an Earth style defense, which he tried only to find it fail.
"Uhn uhn, we wouldn't want you to escape with out seeing our true power combined!" Naruto yelled over the howling winds, a clone stepping out of the woods to show him holding a Seal sign, which was connected to the Chakra Suppression Seal Naruto had placed on Kakashi back during on of their short bouts.
"Now then, all together, we fight because together, we can't lose!" Naruto shouted to the others, his two teammates yelling in assent as the winds closed in on the silver head like a trap.
"STORM SURGE!" The attack washed over Kakashi, both cutting into him, freezing him due to the water being cold, and electrocuting him simultaneously before the three Genin let the attack fall away as they crouched down beside Kakashi, who groaned in pain.
"Oh well, it is a shame… for three such children…to fail at the finish line." The Jounin said as he released the Genjutsu, the sun showing to be directly overhead signaling the end of the trial. "And since you fail to get the bells from me before the time ran out, I'm afraid I must fail you." The Jounin declared as Naruto placed his hands on his chest, a faint green glow surrounding them as he healed his new sensei.
"Oh, the bells, I took them before we ever began. Remember that woman who bumped into you in the street, that was one of my clones in Henge, it had two other clones Henge'd to appear to be your bells which replaced when you were ogling her/my tits. I knew that you would protect the bells zealously, so the clones wouldn't be dispelled, I even took the precaution of adding extra chakra to allow them to survive these attacks." Naruto admitted as the two bells on Kakashi's belt vanished in a puff of smoke, appearing in both Naruko and Sasuke's hands, the faint wind causing them to jingle.
"Well then, I suppose… you pass." Kakashi said, before crying out in pain as Naruto kicked him between the legs.
"Ever, ogle my or Naruko's tits again, and I'll tell Anko that you spy on her and the other kunoichi in the bathhouse. Got it, Pervy Scarecrow?" Naruto said, a faint smile on his face as Kakashi nodded furiously.
A/N: Another one bites the dust as I finish a giant battle chapter. Thought it isn't as long as the previous chapter, I already stated the reason for the giant size. Have a good day my loyal followers and readers.
