Avery smiled as she looked at the wedding website online. She couldn't believe that she and Mike were getting married and that her Dad had agreed to let her live in her Gran's house.

"Finding anything good?" Mike said walking up.

"Tons of ideas." She smiled. "What's up?"

"Would you accompany me to a wedding?"

She looked at him. "I am. Our wedding."

"No, I mean a wedding today."

"Who's getting married today?" She asked.

"Kate and John."

"They're getting married today!"

"Yes." He smiled. "John called me and said Kate's dad is going to marry them today and they would like us to be their witnesses."

"That's exciting and kind of shocking. But it'll give us a chance to tell them about our wedding."

"I agree. So let's get ready and meet them at city hall." He smiled. She nodded and they headed to get dressed. Once they were, they made their way to city hall.

John and Kate stood there in the main area waiting for Mike and Avery. Once they came, the ceremony would start. They showed up a few minutes later.

"Finally." Kate smiled. "Now that you're here. Let's get married."

"Relax." Avery laughed as they headed in where Kate's dad was waiting. "You have time."

"I know but I'm excited." Kate replied.

"I'm happy for you."

"Thanks." Kate smiled. "Now, let's get me married."

She and John took their place in front of her dad while Avery stood on one side and Mike stood on the other.

"We're gathered here to join this man and my baby in holy matrimony." He said. "Which is an honorable estate and not entered into lightly. John and Kate, have you come here to be married of your own free will?"

"We have." They said together.

"Then we shall proceed." He said. "John, do you take, Kate, to be your wife? To love and comfort from this day forward. To protect and cherish until death do you part."

"I do." John smiled.

"Kate, do you take, John, to be your husband? To love and comfort from this day forward. To protect and cherish until death do you part?"

"I do." She replied.

"The rings." He said as Mike handed them to him. "The wedding ring is a outward symbol of an invisible bond. It shows the couples commitment to each other. John, place the ring on Kate's finger and say, with this ring I thee wed."

"With this ring I thee wed." He said as he slid the gold band on her finger.

"Kate, take this ring and place it on John's finger and say, with this ring, I thee wed."

"With this ring, I thee wed." She smiled as she slid the matching band on his finger.

"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." John smiled as he kissed her. "Well, you're married." Jerry replied. He turned to Mike and Avery. "Are you two getting married too?"

"Yes sir we are. But not today. In a few months."

"Alright." He said to them before turning to John and Kate. "Did you guys have something planned for after the ceremony?"

"Actually we just decided to go to the restaurant and have some food. Nothing big." Kate replied.

"Alright, lets go. Dinner and your hotel room for the night are on me."

"Really?" Kate asked him. "You're letting me out of the house?"

"Yes but the guards will be posted outside the hotel room and they will inspect it before you go in."

Kate rolled her eyes and laughed. "Of course Daddy."

"And you and John need to decide where you're going to live."

She looked at him. "You mean you aren't going to make us live in mansion?"

He looked at her. "You're a married woman now. You need to make a life of your own." He said. "And I was thinking. If you wanted, you could move into the condo downtown. I never sold it like I probably should have. But I just couldn't. So, if you and John want, you can move in there. Plus I know I can handle the security there and make sure you're safe."

"You'd do that for us?"

He smiled and hugged her. "Of course. You're my daughter. I want you to have a great life and I want you to live at the condo."

She hugged him again. "Thank you Daddy."

"Anything for you princess." He replied. "Now, how about that food?" They nodded and headed out of city hall and to the restaurant.

Later that night, John and Kate walked into the hotel room Jerry had arranged for them. "Wow, this is incredible." She said when they did.

"I'll say. Your dad must have paid for the honeymoon suite."

"He did." She smiled. "But it's his wedding present to us."

John smiled. "Well wife, we're married. What should we do now?"

"Well, it is our wedding night." She smiled. "And granted it's not our first time together. But it is our first time as husband and wife. And we should make it special. So, this place is equipped with everything for a great honeymoon. So, I say we head upstairs to the hot tub and enjoy it."

"I love the way you think."

She smiled and kissed him. "I figured you did. So, let's go." She took his hand and they headed upstairs to the second level and the hot tub.

Avery and Mike pulled up to her house. "I'll see you in the morning. Your dad and I are going to get some stuff for the house."

"You and my dad are hanging out?" She asked him.

"Yes, we will be related before long."

"Yeah." She said smiling. He leaned in and kissed her.

"I'll see you later." She nodded and got out of the car and headed in. She was excited to see what they were exactly doing to the house. And she couldn't wait to move in and start their life together. She couldn't believe how things were working out.

Mike arrived at the house and saw that Bret was already there. "Mr. Hart." He said walking in.

"How was the wedding?" Bret asked. Jerry had called him and told him about it.

"It was nice. Very simple."

Bret smiled. "When Jerry called it got me to thinking about how in a few months, my baby will be married. I decided to come work on the fireplace a little. I knew you'd show up here."

"How'd you know?"

"You've been here every night since you asked my daughter to marry you. You've done a great job so far too."

Mike smiled. "Thank you." He said. "This will be our home and I wanted it to be good. I can't wait to make a home here with Avery."

"You really love her?" Mike nodded. "Then that's all I could ever ask for." Bret smiled. "Now, let's get to work so this place will be ready the time comes to move in." Mike nodded and he went to work helping Bret. He couldn't wait until the wedding and the rest of their lives. And he was determined to make sure she knew every day that despite how things started between them, she was his whole world.
