A few months later, the house was all fixed up. Bret and Mike had even gone and bought furniture and everything else they would need.

"I'm so excited." Avery said as she and Kate were sitting in Kate's place. "It's hard to believe I will be married soon."

"I know. But married life is good." Kate smiled. "So when do I get to see this house?"

"Tonight. That's where the rehearsal dinner is."

"Awesome. I can't wait to see it. I bet it's nice."

"It's everything I've ever wanted. Mike and my Dad did such a great job."

"That's awesome." Kate replied. "Is it weird that we are not even twenty and we're married?"

"No. When it's right, you just know it."

Kate smiled. "Yeah you do. I honestly didn't know John and I would end up here when we started dating. I really was just trying to get a reaction out of my dad. But it wasn't long until I was in love with him. And it wasn't just to get to my dad anymore."

"Mike and I didn't start out in the most conventional way but I couldn't picture my life without him."

"Well, we should probably head out. We don't want to be late." Kate said to her.

"Are you sure I look okay?"

"You look beautiful." Kate replied. Avery nodded. "Now let's go before we're late."

They grabbed their things and headed out. Avery couldn't believe that soon she would be married and she and Mike would start their life together.

Mike smiled as John walked up. "Thanks for being here man." He said to him.

"Where else would I be? I'm glad I get to help you celebrate your happiness. And this house is beautiful."

"Thanks. Bret and I worked hard on it." Mike replied. "And now I get to share it with Avery. I'm ready to get married."

John laughed. "It can be great." He replied. "And here comes the beautiful bride to be."

Mike smiled and kissed her. "You look beautiful." He said to her.

"Thanks. You looking pretty handsome yourself."

He smiled again. "Well let's get married." He replied. "I have the rings. So we have everything."

"You have to wait until tomorrow. This is just practice."

"I know." He smiled. "I was just saying we have everything. Plus I'm excited to be married to you."

Avery smiled. "This house is gorgeous!"

"I'm glad you like it." Mike smiled. "Your dad and I worked really hard on it." He kissed her cheek. "Because we both wanted to make you happy."

"I am happy." She smiled. "I'm so happy."

"This house is amazing you guys." Kate said to them.

"Thanks. I just wanted it to be everything Avery wanted."

"It is." Avery smiled and kissed him.

"Kids, we have a rehearsal to start." They heard Bret say from the door. Avery looked over at Mike and smiled. She kissed him and then walked over to her Dad.

"Then let's get started." She smiled. He nodded and everyone headed to where the ceremony would take at the house. She looked up at Bret. "Thank you for everything."

He smiled and hugged her. "Anything for you baby. I love you and I want you to have a happy life."

"And I'll have that Daddy. I know I will."

"I know." He smiled and offered her his arm. He walked her down the make shift aisle to where Mike and the officiant was waiting. He kissed her on the cheek and handed her over to Mike.

"Welcome." The officiant said. "This is the rehearsal of the wedding. So I will go through everything and make sure we go over anything that might go wrong."

They rehearsed everything and sat down to dinner. "This all looks good." Kate said as they sat there.

"Do you miss that we didn't' do this?" John asked her.

"Nope. I was happy with the way we got married. It was exactly like I wanted it." She smiled. "But this suits Avery and Mike."

"Yeah, it does. And this house is awesome."

"It is awesome." She replied. "Avery has always wanted to live here. I'm glad her dad and Mike went through all the trouble of fixing it up for her."

"Yep." He replied. "It will be a beautiful ceremony and reception tomorrow. And I'm ready for it to be over with."

"Mike driving you crazy?"

"Yes." John laughed. "He's a little nervous about the wedding."

Kate laughed. "Why? After everything we've been through, they're finally going to get their happy ending. Just like we did."

"I think that's a little bit of it. He's worried something will go wrong."

"Nothing is going to go wrong."

"I've told him that repeatedly." John replied.

"Thanks for coming guys." Mike said as he and Avery walked up.

"Nice rehearsal. Now I can't wait until the wedding." Kate replied.

"Me either." Mike said looking at Avery.

"You guys will have an amazing wedding." Kate added.

"Thanks." Avery replied.

"And you'll have an amazing life after that."

"Thanks Kate." Mike replied. "So, my future wife here is set on the not seeing each other after tonight until tomorrow. Any chance you can stay with her Kate and I'll go hang out with John."

"Sure." Kate laughed.

Avery looked at him and smiled. "It's just one night. After tomorrow, I'm all yours for the rest of our lives."

"Good." He said before kissing her. "Because I can't wait for the rest of our lives."

"Me either. Now you better go."

He laughed and kissed her again. "See you tomorrow. I will be waiting at the end of the aisle."

She smiled as he left with John. She turned to Kate. "So, what are we going to do with the rest of our night?"

"Facials, and mani/pedis."

"Sounds good to me."

"Great. Then let's get to it." Kate smiled. Avery nodded and they changed and started their mani/pedis.

John and Mike walked into the condo and sat down. "So, what do you want to do on your last night of freedom?"

"Get some rest."

John laughed. "How about a movie and some beer? And then you can rest."

"Throw in a pizza and you've got yourself a deal."

"Deal." John said picking up the phone and ordering. "Pizza's on the way. So which movie do you want to send you off to be an old married man like me."

"Back to the future?"

"Sounds good." John said walking over to the entertainment center. "Back to the future it is." John looked over at him. "To getting the woman you love."

"Thanks." Mike laughed as the doorbell rang. "And that would be the pizza. I'll get it." He walked to the door and paid for the pizza.

"Let's get this party started then." John said as Mike sat the pizza on the coffee table.

"Let's do it." John laughed and they sat down and had the pizza and watched action movies.

Kate looked over at Avery as they watched a romantic comedy. "So, in just a few short hours, you will be married. I'm so excited for you."

Avery smiled. "Me too. Mike really does love me if he'd go to all the trouble of helping Daddy fix this house up for me."

"I know he loves you." Kate smiled. "And I know you will like marriage." She replied.

"Oh yeah, why is that?"

"Because you get to spend the rest of your life with the man you love plus married sex is so much better."

Avery laughed. "If Mike had his way, that's all we'd do all day long."

Kate laughed. "Men. If they didn't have to work or do anything, they would keep us in bed all day. Not that I would mind that all that much."

Avery laughed too. "Yeah but we have other things to do than that."

"So, true." Kate smiled. "Well, how about some junk food?"

Avery nodded and they got out the junk food. Avery had to smile. It was nice to have some girl time before her wedding tomorrow. But she was excited to get married. She couldn't wait until she and Mike were married. There was nothing she wanted more.
