Avery woke up the next morning and smiled. She was finally going to get her happy ending. She got up and headed to shower. Once she had, she got everything together to get dressed for the wedding. She smiled at Kate as she came into the room after her own shower.
"Are you ready to get married" Kate asked her. Avery nodded. "We already have our mani/pedis done. So we have your hair and make up."
"I am so nervous."
"Don't be. This is going to an amazing wedding." Kate smiled. "Now, let's do your hair and make up."
Avery smiled. "I was thinking pull some of my hair up and curl it a little. I don't want to go too dramatic with my makeup either."
"I agree. You don't need much makeup because you're naturally pretty." Kate replied. "So, hair curled and minimum makeup." Avery nodded and they got started.
Mike and John stood in one of the bedrooms of the house getting ready. "Relax, man. Everything is going to be good." John said to him.
Mike took a breath and nodded. "I just can't wait for her to be my wife."
"I know." John smiled. "See Kate and I didn't have that nervousness because we got married so fast."
Mike laughed. "Well, you just couldn't wait. I wanted to make sure Avery had the wedding she wanted."
"And she is. And all you have to do is say the vows and start your life together." Mike nodded. "Now let's go get you married."
Mike nodded and they headed toward the backyard where the ceremony was to take place. He saw where Avery's dad was waiting to walk her down the aisle and Kate's dad was standing ready to perform the ceremony.
Avery walked up to Bret and he smiled at her despite the tears in his eyes. "You look beautiful baby." He said when she took his arm.
"Thank you." She said softly. They walked down the aisle and she smiled when she saw Mike standing there waiting. Bret handed her over to him and they stepped in front of Jerry.
"We are gathered here today to join Mike and Avery in matrimony." Jerry started. "Is there anyone who can show cause why they shouldn't be married, speak now or forever hold you peace." He smiled and continued when no one stood up. "Mike and Avery, have you come here today to be married?"
"We have." They said together.
"Do you Michael Gregory take Avery June to be your lawfully wedded wife, forsaking all others, in sickness and in health, do you pledge your life to her?"
"I do." Mike replied with a smile.
"Do you Avery June take Michael Gregory to be your lawfully wedded husband, forsaking all others, in sickness and in health, do you pledge your life to him?"
"I do." She smiled.
"Then each of you place the ring on the other and repeat after me. With this ring, I thee wed."
"With this ring, I thee wed." Mike said as he slid the ring on her finger.
She smiled at him and did the same. "With this ring, I thee wed."
"Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife." He smiled at them. "You may kiss the bride."
Mike smiled and pulled her to him. He gently kissed her as everyone clapped for them. They turned and walked back up the aisle together. "May I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mizanin."
They walked out of sight of the guests and headed to take photos while the guests headed to the reception. "You're amazing." Mike said to Avery.
She smiled and kissed him. "You're the amazing one." She replied. "I'm so excited to celebrate our new life together."
He smiled at her. "I'm excited too. We are going to have a great life together." He leaned in and kissed her. "I promise you." She smiled when he said it.
"Congratulations, you two." Kate said walking up. "I'm so happy for you guys."
Mike smiled. "Thanks."
"You both look so happy.' She smiled and hugged them.
"I've never been so happy."
Kate smiled. "Can you believe we've made it to this point? After everything, we made it here. To having a great life."
"I wasn't sure but I'm glad we did."
Kate nodded. "To having a great life." John said as they raised their glasses.
"To a great life." They said together.
"Now you two need to go on your honeymoon." John said to them. "And we will see you both when you get back."
Mike nodded. "He's right. We should go."
She hugged Kate and took Mike's hand. She walked passed the guests and kissed her dad goodbye. They headed out to the awaiting car and drove off toward the airport.
Mike looked over at her as they did. "I've never been happier than I am right now. I'm glad we were at camp together despite everything."
She smiled. "Me too."
He kissed her and they both looked out the window of the plane once they boarded. Everything had worked out for them all. And camp had proven to be the thing that changed all of their lives. But despite everything, life had turned out good. The four survivors of camp murder, as they called it, had managed to rebuild their lives and were looking forward to the future.
