Hi everyone!

So here's the second chapter of my Demetri story.

The reason of why it took me this long to update is because I haven't got as many reviews as I wanted.

So , I'll only update if I get my reviews, simple like that.

This chapter wouldn't be possible without the help of my super beta Lift the Wings.

I Hope you like it ;)

I never liked humans, even when I was one. But, there are some things I must admit that they did right. Like sciences and arts. I admire all kinds of works; and celebrations of course. Such as today, they are celebrating Saint Marcus Day. Marcus himself could care less, of course. But I'm one of the few that are strong enough to be out there among the crowd and not kill anybody. Believe me, this is something to be very proud of.

One of the things that attract me the most about this day is that they look so happy with the smallest of things. We have dances, singing, and other types of activities here in Volterra, especially today, and everyone seem so caring and free. Indeed is very nice to look forward to. But I won't ever say that out loud... only Aro knows that because he invades my mind for any reason he thinks is best.

However, just because I said that I like to watch some very rare good moments that humans have, doesn't mean I like them. That would've been a disgrace for someone in my position to the guard. In fact, this is one of the best days to feed. A celebration means tourists, and this means fishing.

I look up to the La torre dell'orologio, where I could see Jane's teeth glowing in the dark. She doesn't like to be around many people, not because she can't control herself, she's just one of the most anti-social vampires I've ever met. But it doesn't matter, more blood for me then.

It wasn't a sunny day, but I was still wearing my cape proudly I may add, and kept looking for a snack before I came back to my home. As usual when there are tourists involved there is always some that doesn't share the traveling spirit and are here for robbery. I don't pity them; there is a reason why Volterra is one of the safest places in the world. No human or vampire crime goes away without proper judgment; and in case of human felonies, the punishment is very clear: feeding.

It wasn't very long and I found a small group of pickpockets surrounding another group of tourists. Shame on them, someone should teach these kids some manners. That was such an easy task, my dinner is practically screaming eat me with a sign on their heads. Who am I to say no?

Having chosen my meal, all I had to do was wave to Heidi and she would've brought them to the palace. I decided to wait until the theatre reenactment of the children to end so I could feed. Like I said before, I may not like humans, but they have their moments.

In the middle of all the screaming little brats and people taking pictures, the nagging and natural human disorder that I saw the most beautiful mirage.

And I smelt it.

She appeared just like that. How could I not notice her before? It was like a dream, if I could dream of course. The most delicious aroma surrounded by a woman that I could only describe as gloriosa. Her curly hair was everywhere, but she didn't seem to mind. Her focus was only on the music that was in front of us now. She didn't even notice me! And that's impossible! EVERY PERSON looks to the hooded people of Volterra. But not her.

I was enchanted, forgetting about the thieves the moment I laid my eyes in her. She'll be my perfect meal, I won't let anyone touch her, only I can savor this beautiful flavor assumed that she must taste even better than she smells. There is no way to portray how delicious her scent is, all I know is that she's mine.

I walked with caution and poise, as always, this is a sign to intimidate but at the same time allure humans. This won't be too difficult, and she's alone just looking at the crowd at a distance.

Humans are just so pathetic! It is so easy just snap their necks with one hand and they still think that they are invincible. If they knew what real power is, they would have more respect for things.

Anne's POV

I particularly like this part of the festival. It's the time when the town children make a spectacle based on the miracles of Saint Marcus; it's a wonderful thing to watch. All the proud parents and the joy on their faces when they are up there, even the little ones who look so scared, in the end are waving when the applause begins.

It really is a notable thing to watch; too bad not many people see that.

"Mi scusi sinhorina, sono in grado di assistere con festa con te?" I looked away from a moment to see a man beside me that I didn't notice before. He was taller than me, with a black cape and a very interesting hair.

But there was something in his voice that I didn't like.

So what should I say to a strange man that talks to me in a festival?

"No" was my reply. I spoke very little Italian, but this little that I knew was enough to talk to this stranger.

"E perché no?"He seemed amused and angry by answer at the same time. What, is he not used to hear a no? Some people are just too full of themselves!

"Perché non mi fido di te," With that I turned around and walk away, my mood completely ruined now.
