First day back at East High.

Troy and Gabriella entered East High. The hallway was packed with the students. It quickly went silent, all eyes were suddenly on Troy and Gabriella. Gabriella clutched Troy's hand as she heard the laughter and whispering. She got glares and dirty looks from jealous girls. Troy wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer which made her feel less anxious. She hated the attention. They both ignored it and carried on walking down the hallway.

''Sorry about that,'' Troy said, leaning against a locker.

''Don't. It's not your fault,'' Gabriella shrugged, opening her locker.

''Promise me something?''

''What?'' Gabriella grabbed books from her locker, shutting it before looking at Troy.

''You can't listen to them,''

''Why would I do that?'' I clutched my books.

''Just worried, I guess. That's all,'' Troy stratched the back of his head.

''Well stop. You've got nothing to be worried about,'' I looked at him, giving a reassuring smile.

''I just can't lose you,''

I rolled my eyes, ''Will you shut up? You're not gonna lose me you idiot,'' I laughed, ''Now can you stop being a cheeseball and let me get to class?"

''Yeah,'' Troy chuckled, ''Biology?''

''You been stalking me or something?'' I raised an eyebrow.

''Admiring, not stalking. Admiring,'' Troy teased.

Gabriella giggled, ''What've you got?''

''Basketball so I'll let you get off,'' Troy replied.

Gabriella gave Troy a quick peck, ''Bye babe, have fun!'' She yelled as she ran off to her class.

Troy chuckled and waved.

In class with Gabriella

Gabriella stepped into the classroom, clutching her books. She looked around. There were some unfamiliar faces and then there were the people she has grown up with for the past 2 years. ''Great,'' she mumbled under her breath and sighed. She toke a seat and began to unpack her bag before she heard someone shout her name. She turned her head and practically jumped out of her seat.

''Mia!'' Gabriella ran into her arms. They both screamed and squealed like two little kids recieveing candy.

''I've not seen you for so long! I missed you Gabs,'' Mia said, still hugging Gabriella.

Gabriella smiled and released her arms, ''Missed you more,''

''And you have some explaining to do missy,''

Gabriella looked up at Mia, a blank and confused look spreaded across her face.

''Troy Bolton,''

''Yeah, we're kind of together,'' I smiled.

''Aw Gabsy, honey, I'm so happy for you,'' Mia jumped with happiness.

Alright. I'll admit that I got a tad hyped up with her. Okay, a lot. But it's impossible resist the girly happy dance. You know the one I'm talking about. Like, when you just flail about with your best friend? The one you would die to save from being posted onto Youtube? Yeah, that dance.

''What are you doing after school?'' Sharpay asked.

''Watching Troy play basketball,'' I replied, acting enthusastic in the most sarcastic way.

Mia laughed, ''You're sure lovin' it you. Can't you get out of it? We need some girly time,''

I nodded and smiled, ''I could do with that right now,''

The happy moment didn't last long for Gabriella as she saw Sharpay Evans enter the room. The glares and dirty looks coming from Sharpay didn't help either. Gabriella tried to turn her attention elsewhere but she was trapped as she began to get the looks from other people aswell and for a second, Gabriella felt like she was the most hated person at East High and why? because she's dating Troy Bolton. Like the whole school was dating him, aswell. It was pathetic. But it made Gabriella feel so small and intimidated. Mia's voice quickly inturrupted her thoughts and brought her back down to earth.

''Can see little miss perfect has you down in her good books,'' Mia laughed, lightening the tension.

''More like death list,'' I sighed.

''Ignore her,''

''How can I? When the whole of East High now hate me because of who I'm dating?''

''Don't be silly, not every student hates you,''

''Sure felt like it this morning,''

Mia looked at her.

''I was walking to my locker with Troy and just felt like everyone was whispering, laughing, talking about me. It just made me feel so attacked and got me thinking,''

''About what?''

''If it's even worth it,''

''Gabby, don't say that,''

''Why not? I'm right,'' I mumbled.

''You and Troy are perfect together. You love him and he loves you. You can't let a few little comments and glares off jealous girls ruin what you two have. You'll just regret it and you'll be making everyone else happy but yourself,''

''I do love him, so much. I just wish people would stop acting as if I murdered someone,''

Mia smiled, ''And they will, soon. I promise,''

''I love you,'' Gabriella hugged Mia.

''Love you too princess,''

Gabriella's phone began to vibrate.

''Troy,''

She unlocked her phone and saw his picture appear, ''How'd you know?''

''Oh, it's just a gift you know,'' Mia smirked.

Gabriella giggled and answered, ''Hey baby, how's basketball practice going?''

''Hello beautiful,'' Troy smiled at the sound of her voice, ''it's going good, still a pro at it,'' he chuckled, ''you still coming to the game later?''

''About that, I think me and Mia are going to catch a movie or something you know cause i've not seen her in months,''

''Oh so your abandoning me for a girl? That's cool babe,''

''Shush. I'll speak to you later,''

Troy chuckled, ''Kidding babe, I love you.''

''I love you more,''

''Don't even start this, I love you morest,''

Gabriella was just about to reply when she realized Troy had hung up, ''Uh. Prick,''

''What was that all about?'' Mia stared at her.

''Hung up on me and didn't let me win the i love you more game,'' She frowned.

Mia lightly laughed.

Sharpay walked past Gabriella, with her followers behind her and knocked her books out of her hands. She smirked only to turn around, ''Oops. Should really move out of my way next time,''

''Or maybe you should watch where your going,'' Mia said, raising her voice.

''Mia, don't,''

''No gabby, you shouldn't have to put up with this bitch,'' Mia fumed.

''Well, Gabby's a big girl. I'm sure she can speak for herself,'' Sharpay smirked.

''Can you please just leave us alone?''

''For now. But let me tell you this, nobody steals my boyfriend and gets away with it,'' Sharpay smirked at Gabriella, ''Come on girls, let's not waste anymore time with these losers,'' She said, walking off.

''Good practice today man!'' Chad high fived Troy.

''Tonight's game is gonna be sick,''

''Yeah man,'' Chad grinned, sitting next to Troy on the bench. ''So is your girl coming to the big game?''

''Nah, she's blowing me off for her best friend,'' he laughed.

''Good girl you got there,'' Chad chuckled.

Troy laughed, ''She's the best,''

''It's that Montez girl, isn't it?''

''Yeah. Gabriella Montez,''

''I'm happy for you bro,''

''Thanks man,'' Troy smiled.

The bell rings

''How'd you end things with Sharpay?'' Chad asked as the two walked out of the gym.

''Told her straight. It's over,''

Chad chuckled, ''Oh man, can imagine her reaction was dramatic,''

''It was. You know her, nobody breaks up with Sharpay Evans,'' he said, sarcastically.

''Queen B,''

''Exactly man,''

Troy and Chad burst out laughing.

They entered the cafeteria. Chad headed over to the food court as Troy headed over to his table. He high fived all his boys and shared some jokes before spotting Gabriella. He shouted her name several times before he ran up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, picking her up and spinning her around.

Gabriella gasped, giggling. ''Troy Alexander Bolton, put me down!''

''Or else?'' Troy smirked, still holding her.

''Or else, I won't give you a kiss,'' She smiled.

''You won't be able to resist,'' Troy laughed.

''Wanna bet?'' Gabriella smirked.

''Fine,'' Troy groaned, putting her down on the floor.

Gabriella turned around, ''Hi,'' She smiled, leaning in for a kiss.

Troy pulled away, entwining their fingers. ''What are you doing sat over here?''

Gabriella looked over Troy's shoulder, ''I'm not sure if I wanna sit with all them,''

Troy looked over at the table.

''It's Sharpay isn't it?''

Gabriella nodded.

''Stay here,'' Troy began to walk over to Sharpay. ''Sharpay,'' he yelled.

''Hey Troysie,'' Sharpay grinned.

''Cut the crap Pay. Stop harrasing my girlfriend,''

''Oh is that what she told you? I was just being friendly,''

''I know you,''

Sharpay stood up, ''You said we could talk, remember? I need to tell you something,''

''If it's about us getting back together, I don't wanna hear it,''

''It's not. But I can't tell you here,''

Troy Sighed.

''Can we go somewhere a bit more private? The gym?'' Sharpay asked.

''You've got 5 minutes,'' Troy began to walk out of the cafeteria, Sharpay following him.

Gabriella watched them leave the cafeteria. ''Thanks,'' She mumbled to herself as she joined her friends again.

Troy and Sharpay both toke a seat on the bench.

Troy stared at Sharpay, ''You needed to tell me something?''

''Troy, I'm still in love with you.''

''Shar,'' Troy sighed before being inturrupted.

''No, You need to hear this. I'm in love with you and I have been from the first day I met you,''

''I'm with Gabriella,''

''You may be with Gabriella but nothing can compare to the history we have, the memories, the chemistry we have, Troy,''

''What are you saying Shar?''

''I'm saying I miss you and I want you back,''

''I can't,''

''Shush,'' Sharpay put her finger on his lips before leaning in for a kiss.

Troy placed his hand on her cheek as Sharpay placed her hand on his neck. The kiss got deeper and more passionate. Sharpay pulled away and sat on Troy only to reconnect their lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck, sticking her tongue in his mouth. She ran her hand up his shirt before unbuttoning it and pulling it off. Troy's lips moved down to her neck, making Sharpay let out a moan. She toke off her shirt, leading Troy down to her breasts. ''Knew you missed this baby,'' Sharpay mumbled as she straddled Troy. He layed several kisses on her chest. She smirked, unzipping his pants.

Troy stopped her, ''I can't do this,''

''Oh come on, it'll be our little secret,'' She smirked, getting on her knees.

''I can't do this to Gabby,''

''No one has to know,'' Sharpay smiled. ''Besides, you just made out with me and nobody forced you do that. Your actions say a lot,'' She said, smirking.

''My actions were a mistake. You were a mistake,'' Troy stood up, throwing his shirt back on and pulling his pants up.

''Whatever,'' Sharpay crossed her arms, ''Won't be long until you come running back to me! Gabriella will never give you what I gave you,'' She yelled as Troy began to walk away.

''Gabriella's the best thing that ever happened to me,'' Troy yelled back before leaving the gym.

''Oh, this is cute!'' Mia held up a light pink cardigan.

''Want want want!'' Gabriella squeaked. She picked one up in her size.

Mia and Gabriella continued to search the store.

''Oh hey Gabby, I found something perfect for Troy,''

''Yeah?'' Gabriella looked over at Mia and saw her holding a black tight corset with straps and tights. She rolled her eyes playfully.

Mia laughed at her reaction.

''I quite like that,'' Gabriella pointed to a floral maxi dress.

''Get it,'' Mia encouraged her.

Gabriella smiled and picked it up.

The two payed for their items, leaving the store. They went to the movie store to pick out a film and some sweets for their movie night, later arriving back to Mia's apartment. They both changed into something comfier. For Gabriella, it was sweatpants and an over-sized jumper. For Mia, it was leggings and a loose t-shirt. She put 'bridesmaids' on and put the bag of food on the table. They settled down on the couch, wrapping themselves in blankets, all snug. The two couldn't stop laughing the entire movie, expressing their love for the film. Gabriella's phone suddenly started to ring.

She answered, still laughing. ''Hello?''

''Gabriella? It's Sharpay,''

Gabriella contained her laughter, her face turning serious.

''We need to talk,''
