So here's the final! :D I have mixed emotions right now. I am sad that I have to end it, and at the same time I am happy that this was my 1st fanfiction ever, that I wrote until the end.

Shadow The Hedgehog opened his eyes, as he looked at the bat, who was looking at him.

He decided he should tell her everything that is bothering him. The hedgehog hoped that Rouge would help him.

"It's just...It's just this feeling..." He started, looking at the ground.

Rouge sat next to him under the tree, listening carefully.

"Nothing I've ever known, has made me feel this way..." He continued, looking into the distance.

"My heart almost jumping form my chest, this warm and cozy feeling inside my heart..." Shadow put his hand on his furry chest.

"It's happening even now!" He put his hand on the grass again.

"And I was asking mostly everyone I knew about this...But all they did was just laugh." He then looked at his comrade.

"What is happening with me, Rouge?" His eyes were pleading and full of hope.

The bat began thinking. She had one thing in her mind, but that could not be the right thing. It wasn't just possible, or was it...?

"Shadow, how often do you feel that way?" She asked, looking at him.

"How often do I feel it...?" His heartbeat increased.

"Everytime...Everytime when you are around me..." He muttered, embarrassed.

The ivory bat's ears immediately perked, as her cheeks grew warmer. Her suspicions were correct now. There was no doubt anymore.

But how could she tell it to him? Rouge thought it would break their friendship, erase everything that happened with them, their missions and other adventures they had together... But this feeling is pretty natural and what is natural isn't embarrassing, right?

Rouge bit her lip, as she sighed.

"So?" Shadow cocked an eyebrow at her, waiting for the answer.

"Shadow...I-I have to admit that I have the same feeling that you do..." She started, her cheeks slowly reddening.

He felt his own cheeks grew warmer.

"And?" The hedgehog asked, impatiently.

"It was there since I've met you..." Rouge hardly continued, slowly leading to the aim.

"Shadow, listen to your heart..." The voice inside the ebony hedgehog's head rang. Shadow immediately recognized the voice.

"But I already am listening, Maria...It just doesn't help...Makes everything more complicating and confusing..."

"Then look deeper in your feelings...And..." Then the voice faded away, leaving an echo.

"So all these days since I came here, since that fight with Meterex, since you let me stay in your Club, I was questioning myself about this whole situation..." Shadow spoke again, breaking the silence.

"I was too foolish to realize it all. This redness on my cheeks when you are near, this fire igniting in my heart whenever I hear your soft, angelic voice. This charming beauty of yours." He was speaking from his heart, all that was inside of it.

"I've always respected you. How could I be so blind, when I tried to take my mind of you. All that I needed to understand were these three simple words..." Shadow looked at her, exiting from his trance.

Rouge's eyes were shining in awe. Her lips formed an 'o' shape, as the blush was not going to leave her tan muzzle. Her heart skipped a beat, as she was listening to him ever so closely.

"The three words that I...I love you..." He whispered softly, but her sensitive ears couldn't skip that information.

Rouge came closer to him, her eyes full of tears. She hugged him closely, sobbing quietly.

"S-Shadow...All that you've said is... Is so beautiful...I-I love you too, and I'll always will, Shadow~"

Suddenly, the sun shone from the dark gray clouds, as the heavy raining stopped.

And Shadow felt like all the bad energy and bad memories slowly faded away. He felt free, like wings had just grown on his back.

Blushing, he hugged her back, as his lips formed a smile of happiness.

Shadow slowly lifted Rouge's chin, to his own level. He didn't need to question others what to do next. He was trusting his instincts from nature.

He pulled her closer, their lips brushed together.

The couple felt a chill running down their spines, as they both felt this whole new sensation. Everything was crystal clear now, there was no need to hide their feelings now.

Then they slowly parted, breaking the kiss.

Their eyes met, as Rouge smiled a him.

Shadow blushed redder, realizing what had happened. He kissed her. He kissed her.

They stood motionless for a while, their arms wrapped around each other.

That was a day they both will remember forever. The day, that moment that they shared together as a couple for the first, and of course, not the last time, will always bring this warm and cozy feeling forever- the feeling of love.
