Okay, so I have to torcher Allen a little bit in this chapter. I'm probably gonna cry...
Disclaimer: Oh, screw it! You've already heard it anyways

It had been five months.

Five months since Allen had been taken by the Noah.

Five months, the police have been looking for him.

Five months, since he confessed his love to Lenalee.

Every night, she cried her eyes out. All she could think about were his words, his smile, his eyes, his... everything. Everything about him. Why was the world so cruel?

She had tried to move on, she really had. But she couldn't. She just loved him too much. Every single night, her sleep was interrupted by nightmares.

Sometimes they were of that night. Other times, they were possibilities of what might be happening to Allen. She woke up sweating and crying every morning. Komui did everything to try and help her, but nothing worked. All she could think about, was how she could have let this happen. Over and over, Lenalee blamed herself, no matter how many times Lavi or Komui tried to tell her that it wasn't.

It was their fault, they said. They should have realized what he was going to do. They were blind to what was happening.

Lavi was especially angry. He had noticed Allen was anxious and nervous, but he had brushed it off, thinking that he was just worried about Lenalee. He'd had a gut feeling that something was going on with him, but for the first time in his life, he ignored it. And now look at where it led them.

For almost an entire month, Lenalee wouldn't go to school. They tried to get her to, they really tried. But, she just wouldn't budge.

Part of her world had been ripped away from her. She thought Allen would have been found by now. Kanda had given the police the locations and all of the Noahs identities, and yet, they never even found any clues that Allen had been there.

Soon, they would give up the search. And when that happened, Lenalee would probably lose it, becoming nothing more than a shell.

To her, as long as they were still searching, there was hope. But as soon as they stopped, it meant he was gone. Meant he wasn't coming back. She wouldn't be able to live knowing he had done it all for her. If he didn't come back...

She would basically die.

Lenalee had been skipping a lot of school lately. All of the teachers knew Allen was missing, and they knew Lenalee cared for him, they just didn't realize fully how deeply she loved him.

She couldn't sleep, and she rarely ever ate. She was neglecting herself, and everyone knew it. She blamed herself for what had happened that night.

Eventually, Lavi had had enough. If she kept this up, she would die. When at lunch, and she wasn't eating still, he snapped.

As he walked up to the table Lenalee was at, he slammed his tray down on the table, and grabbed Lenalee's shoulders. "Why are you doing this, Lenalee? Why do you keep neglecting yourself?
Allen may be gone, but you still have friends, you still have people who care about you. Don't you realize, that we're all just as worried about him as you are? Don't you realize how worried we are for you?
If you keep this up, imagine how Allen will feel when he comes back. You know, he cares about you. And you care about him. He wanted you to live your life! He wanted you to be happy! If he saw you right now, he would be ashamed. This is not the Lenalee he knew, I knew.
Don't you know how bad he would feel? I feel guilty, Lenalee, imagine how he would feel. If he saw you like this, he would be heart broken. He never wanted this to happen. Never wanted you to be like this. So why don't you snap out of it? Stop sitting there on your ass, wallowing in your self pity, and do something. If you keep acting like this, you won't be here when he gets back. Then imagine how he would feel.
He loves you Lenalee, and he would die, if he knew what was happening. So, why don't you go back to being the old Lenalee, and make sure he has someone to come back to."

As Lavi finished, Lenalee felt tears run down his face. He was right, Allen would never have wanted her to turn into this. "I... I'm sorry Lavi. You're right, I'm being a spoiled brat. Allen would have never wanted this."

Lavi pulled her into a hug as she cried. He didn't tell her to stop, didn't tell her she needed to be strong.

Sometimes crying, and letting it all out, is a braver act than being strong. Sometimes, you needed somebody to be strong for you.

They stood there for some time, Lenalee crying into Lavi's shoulder. They didn't care that the other students were watching, they were in their own little world.

For the rest of the day, and the days after that, Lenalee was almost back to her old self. Sure she was a little more emotional, but who wouldn't be at a time like this? All of her teachers felt relieved when she walked in wearing her signature smile. It meant the Lenalee they knew was back.

She might not have been who she was before this all happened, but she was definitely better than the shell she was.

As she wept into Lavi's shoulder, she made a promise to herself.

She would walk on, focused on the present and future, not the past. She would not longer wallow in self pity.

She had to be strong, and she would.

For Allen.

A shrill scream echoed through the dimly lit hallways. Anyone who was close enough to hear cringed at the pure horror that sounded from it. All the pain, and sadness, all the fear, came out in that one scream.

Tears streamed down the boys face, the man above him grinning maniacally. He was so afraid, but he would not beg for the man to stop. He would rather die.

As the knife was brought down again, bringing up more blood, his vision began to blur. It was like this almost everyday now. A system. The man would conduct all the experiments, and then leave him in the cold, dark, cell to heal. Then they would just begin again.

He had come to realize that the longer the period of healing time was, the worse the experiments were going to be. He never wanted this, but he had done it to save the one he loved. As long as it was him, not her, he would be okay, he would be able to hold on to at least a small strand of sanity.

As his vision faded to black, the pain began to edge away.

He was breaking, his mind was dying.

Slowly, but surely, he was fading away.

Unless a miracle happened, he wouldn't last much longer.

And his tormentors new that.

The experiments got rougher, more painful.

He was starting to forget who he was.

Who was he?

He was Allen Walker.

Yup, I was right, I cried.
I know this chapter was a little shorter, but it's leading up to something. And don't worry, Allen will survive. This story probably won't have many more chapters. There's probably two more, then I'll finish it, and begin working on the sequel. I know exactly how I'm going to end this story, and exactly how the sequel will be played out. I'll probably end up updating again later today after I finish my homework. I can't help it!

anyways, I'm going to stop blabbering now. Please review and tell me what you thought of this chapter. If you noticed any mistakes, please tell me, it will help me become a better writer.

Thank you to those who reviewed, it really means a lot to me.
