Donatello/Donnie or Don's P.O.V.

Sitting next to my brother I counted the seconds between breaths and recorded them in my notes. He mostly sleeps now, withering away in front of my eyes as we see less of Master Splinter who's traveling to old friends, gathering any new medical information we might not have already.

The bursts of growing rage from Raph was getting unbearable and Leo was starting to worry me...he doesn't sleep much at all. Not healthy for a turtle who trains most of the day and eats like a bird.

A soft cough pulled me out of my thoughts, "Don..? Y-you there bro?" whimpered a sickly voice from a pile of covers; I almost didn't recognize it.

"Yes, I'm here. How do you feel?" I asked as I took his temperature with my hand. His head was hot, as it has been for weeks now.

"Horrible dude...but you...you look like...like...like gas." he replied.

OK, not what I thought he would say. "Gas? Like a fart?" I questioned, hoping to make him smile or even better...laugh. Something other than looking miserable and stuck.

Mikey did smile for a moment than giggled a bit, it was short lived but somehow the room seemed brighter, more cheerful. My joke was a success and it didn't include science!

"Nah...not a fart...more like a cloud shaped flower that's purple...like cotton candy...sweet, sweet cotton candy...I miss junk food." Mikey said, looking sad until a thought popped in his head, "I...haven't seen Raph in a while...is he growing carrots?"

I chuckled as I shook my head, I knew where Raph was at and doing but...I didn't really approve of it. It's Raph though, he does what he wants.

"Take that you piece of garbage! You want some more?! Well DO YA?!" I shouted while beating the purple dragons to a pulp, it always made me feel better to pound some idiots into the ground.

They scurried away like the dirty rats they are out of my sight, screaming about some monster in the ally. I didn't care too much about it, normally I would but...the inside of me ached.

I sighed as I jumped to the rooftops and started to run, jump, leap, soar across the night sky but...it just didn't feel right without my brothers. 'will this pain eva go away?'

I'll never tell anyone or admit it to myself out loud, that I miss hanging out as a family. Beating up bad guys, protecting our city, shell, I miss savin' the freakin' world! As long as we were together...nothing could stop us, we were a team. Were. Now I go solo, and that's how I like it.

"Mikey! Where did you go?! You are not well, come back!" I shouted through the lair, running from room to room searching for my sick little brother. He told me he had to visit his kingdom in Awesometopia when he was awake instead of his dreams since he was the 'Big Cheese'.

"Donatello, what are you doing?" asked Leo, coming out of the training room to see what I was yelling about.

"Mikey is gone! I turn my shell for a few seconds and when I look behind me he's gone with the wind!" I groaned with impatience, he should help me look not ask questions now!

"Don, calm down. Did you look in the kitchen yet? Or look at the floor and follow the blue footprints?" He said patiently, with an amused look in his eyes.

"Blue footprints?" I asked, looking down but they were everywhere! On the couch, the walls, the ceiling, the pipes, even some of the furniture!

"Leo, how did Mikey do all of this so fast and why did he use blue..?" I trailed off as I noticed Leo's eyes were light blue, not the regular dark brown, his feet covered in the blue paint...what?!

"Donnie? Something wrong?" he asked, concerned. I only gaped at him, does Mikey not realize he's pretending to be Leo? Wait where is Leo anyway? Thinking quickly,

"Um...not at all, just worried is all...you know, about Mikey."

He nodded and walked into the kitchen; "Don, did you clone me?"

The real Leo came out of the kitchen and stared at Mikey, then all around the living room covered in blue footprints. Rubbing his eyes, he looked again...the paint was still there.

"What happened?" he asked sternly.

"Not a clue." Said the blue masked Mikey.

"Uhh, I have a theory but I'm not sure how to word it...in this case." I replied, longing for coffee and headache reliever.

"What is it?" Both Leo's asked at the same time, crossing their arms with Leo's infamous 'out-with-it' look. It was a little scary how Mikey did that look exactly and at the same time as Leo.

'This is going to be a long day...' I groaned inside my head as I face-palmed.
