Chapter 80

Deasura charged right at Edward who just watch coming forth. She raised her hand with sharp claws and attacked, Edward leaped above her missing her attack. "GIVE HIM BACK!" She screamed in anger. Edward landed perfectly on the ground behind her. She turned around and see him unharmed. Above the both of them Lord Midas appeared watching the mishap without the two noticing him.

"So Edward has awakened the sealed hatred. Now what will he do?" He said to himself, having no faith on Edward what so ever. Deasura charged at him again but stopped quickly right in front of his face. She looked at him deep and hard, realized something and backed off. Edward has his face in confusion.

"Give him back!" Demanded the mermaid goddess. She went above the trees and looked around for any evidence of life. She looked and looked until she saw a group of young ladies walking back to the cottage. "GIVE HIM BACK!" She charged right at their direction.

"Wait! Where are you going?" Edward panicked. Selina walking back with her group stopped and turned thinking she heard something. She then looked back where she saw Eddie.

Eddie, we're so close but so faraway... At that point Selina seemed like she's going to cry.

"Selina, what's wrong?" Asked Jovana. Selina snapped out of it and smiled back at her.

"Well...the Moon is so pretty. I was gazing into it." Selina looked up into the night sky. Same with everyone else.

"It is pretty, isn't it?" commented Danica.

"So much that it'll make you cry." Selina wiped her eyes dry. She turned to her friends and smiled widely. "Before dinner, I'll take a dip in the hot tub and look at the Moon. See you later!" Selina ran off to the cottage. The other four just watched her run off.

"I just don't understand her." Said Jovana.

"Selina seems completely different sometimes." Added Danica.

"Oh Selina..." Sighed Hermione. As Selina ran, she began to cry.

I can't cry. Even though Eddie doesn't remember me, he'll laugh at me if I cry. In the distance behind her, Deasura was speeding up.

"GIVE HIM BACK!" She screamed. Selina stopped on her track and looked around to see where the sound came from.

"What is that?" Selina wondered. Deasura landed quietly right behind Selina.

"Give him back!" She screeched. Selina turned and...

"What the..." Selina had a blank face. Deasura roared. "No freaking way! This can't be happening!" The panic attack started to kick in. The rest of the group caught up to her and saw the commotion.

"Selina, what the freak IS that?" Shouted Hermione.

"It's a freaking monster!" Flipped Danica.

"A mermaid! I think it's a mermaid." Thought out loud Marcella. Selina ran to them with Deasura following behind her.

"Get down!" Selina tackle her group to the ground and the mermaid swoop right past them and went up to the air regain her position. She dive down and charged right at them. Deasura opened her mouth and let out a black mass of ink aimed at them.

"RUN FOR IT!" Yelled out Jovana. The group followed her and ducked down flat to the ground, avoiding the messy ink. The ink hit the trees around them turning them pitch black and dead like. Selina stood up in anger.

"Okay, now I'm mad! Hey, this is worse than a joke! You can't mess up our trip!" Selina told Deasura.

"Selina, stay back!" Hermione panicked for Selina's whereabouts. Deasura stay still watching them. Jovana took a long thick stick, fit for a fighting staff. She got up, and stood her ground beside Selina.

"Jovana will take care of this." She said confidently. Deasura hissed at her. Jovana backed up a bit. "Mer...Mermaid... Don't you dare touch us..." Deasura began to charge at Jovana, grabbed her by her neck and slammed her against the tree while choking at her.

"JOVANA!" They all feared the worst. Deasura screamed at her face.

"Jo!" Selina couldn't bare to see her friend in pain. Selina took out her belt buckle and started her incantations. "Upon the Rule of Diana, ..." Before she could finish it, something cut across Deasura's face and landed on the dirt. Deasura let go of Jovana by impulse, dropping her to the ground. On that dirt stood up a black leaf. Deasura turned here and there to see where it came from. Hermione ran to Jovana.

"Jovana, are you alright?" Hermione stayed by her side. Deasura found the source of the attack, She saw a man in dark green suit and a black mask, Lord Edward.

"If he's here, we are in big trouble." Assumed Marcella.

"What do you mean? He just saved her... I think." Selina was doubting herself.

"You will not harm those who are not involved." He warned the mermaid. She responded with a hiss. She flared out her fish tail and swung it at him.

"GIVE HIM BACK!" She screamed. The tail ended up hitting the tree turning it into toothpicks. Deasura looked up to see Edward over her head. The group moved further away from the battle.

"Jovana, hang on!" Danica gave supported to Jovana and carried her.

"Oohh my head..." Complained Jovana. Selina looked back to see the action.

"Guys, I think we need to transform and help him out."Selina suggested.

"Run while you can!" Edward yelled as he is still gliding through the air. As he descends to the ground, Deasura found her opportunity to attack. She swung her tail and whack the senses out of Edward. As he lay on the ground helpless, Deasura crawled closer to him and ready for another attack.

"Hold it right there!" Deasura stopped and looked to her side and saw four Guardians. "I'm Guardian Venus!"

"Guardian Jupiter!"

"Guardian Mars!"

"Guardian Mercury!"

"And I'm Guardian Moon! The Guardians of Olympus has arrived!"

"For peace and justice, the celestial warriors will stop you!" Said Marcella.

"That's not what I usually say!"

"Well it's pretty damn close."

"GIVE HIM BACK!" Deasura screams and charged after the Guardians.

"Quicksilver Haze, Surround!" Hermione fogged up the whole wooded area and slowly weaken the fish goddess. Deasura tried to fan out the fog by waving at it but it obviously didn't work.

"Now it's a good time to take Guardian Earth to refuge." Selina advised her team.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Danica asked.

"No, but be careful anyway." Selina warn them. Danica ran to Edward's aid.

"Alright Edward, time to move and fast." She said to him while giving him a boost and moved him behind a group of trees. Selina ran near the monster, jumped to a tree branch and clapped her hands.

"Hey, goblin, come this way!" She yelled for Deasura's attention. The Goddess looked up at the tree and saw Selina in a firm pose. "You will not get away with terrorizing innocent campers and disturbing a girls group vacation! Under the name of Diana, I will defeat you!" Selina leaped off the branch and rejoined her group. Guardian Earth, you defended those girls." Edward stood up and listen in. "You're a good man after all. I've always loved for that." Without realizing, Deasura swung her tail and struck at Selina. The tail hit the ground creating a force that pushed Selina against the trees.

"Guardian Moon!" Her team worried.

"Copper Beam, Blast!"

"Tin Strike, Crash!" Jovana's electricity wrapped around Danica's beam of energy. Both attacks together blast dead on Deasura. Her body became into ash. "Got it!" Jovana cheered. The ash scattered around the air, grouped together and Deasura's body solidified. The Goddess screeched.

"The Copper Beam doesn't work?" Danica was shocked and the same for Jovana.

"Okay, let's try this. Silver Moon, Watch My Aim!" Selina flung the discus at the monster. The disk sliced through and the body went back to ashes. "Got it this time!" Selina's smile quickly became a frown. Deasura's body came back. "That's not fair! You can't do that, you cheating monster!" Selina complained.

"No, it's not a monster. It's an entity, formed from an age-old rage." Marcella explained.

"That is correct. Guardian warriors, I am responsible for awakening this ancient spirit. You must not fight it." Explained Guardian Earth.

"If it's a spirit, I can do something about that." Marcella took out her rosary beads and began to pray. "Castificantes passionem, et ab hac per exorcismi gratiam immundos spiritus. Spirit, begone!" Marcella placed the beads around Deasura's neck causing her to stay still. "Iron Fist, Collide!" Marcella punch the ground and created a powerful force weakening the goddess.

"Amazing!" Selina commented.

"Now, Guardian Moon!" Danica reminded her.

"Oh yeah." Selina took out her wand. "Moonstone, Heal!" The shine of the stone covered the mermaid monster entirely. The glow dissipated and appeared a beautiful woman but only the soul. She glided up in the air as she looked to the sky.

"She's ascending to Heaven after being released from the bonds of eternal rage." Marcella explain.

"Beautiful..." Said Selina. The spirit smiled and waved to the Guardians, even Edward, and drifted off to the sky. Selina saw Edward gazing up to the sky, she took her chance. "Guardian Earth!"

"I am tempted to say that this was none of your business. However, I owe you for this one. Farewell." Edward vanished into the woods.

"Wait!" Selina tried. "Eddie." Above them without any disturbances, Lord Midas appears watching over them.

"Lord Edward, a peculiar man." He said to himself.

Later on, "Selina!" Called out Hermione.

"Hey, Selina!" Danica did the same. "Hurry up, we're going to miss the moon glow."

"Any slower, we're going to end up watching the sunrise." Marcella added. Jovana smacked at the back of her head.

"Don't be such a sour puss! Today has been 'much' for her. She's lucky to have us around or else god who knows what she'll do." Said Jovana.

"You guys better stop talking about me now." Selina yelled out as she get closer.

"About time!" Said Hermione

"Come on, we don't have all night!" Said Marcella as she stormed off.

"I'm sorry for catching my breath." Said Selina My brave friends from left to right...We laugh, cry and fight together...My friends, no, my family. I love my family.

"Ahh, this feel so good." Said Hermione as she dipped her body in the Jacuzzi and watched the moonlight.

"Now that's a view." Said Marcella who was the first to be in the tub. Everybody eventually got into the tub. Selina gazed at the moon and wondered.

Eddie.

"Selina. Cheer up. You still have lots of chances." Said Jovana.

"Thanks, Jo. I'm alright. After all, I've got good friends like you. But why should we watch the moon in the jacuzzi?"

"Better than watching it in the cold." Hermione mentioned.

"So we decided..." Marcella continue.

"...we didn't want to let any chances of having a cold." continued Danica.

"And to have fun!" Said all. The four started to splash at Selina and do all sorts of things.
