A Royal Capture

Chapter Ten

A/N: I'm on a plane. owe (Well, I was when I started writing lol.)

It was... dark. Something was prodding at him, at his mind... but the skylark couldn't fight it. He was conscious enough to know he was unconscious, and yet all the same, he couldn't get himself out of it. He told his eyes to open, but they wouldn't. He told his fingers to twitch, but they continued to be disobedient herbivores, just like the rest of his body...

The prodding grew more intense, until there was a sharp pain in the back of his head.

Mukuro...

I love Mukuro...

Except... did he love Mukuro? Wait... what was love, again? Who was Mukuro, again? Oh right, the pineapple herbivore. What about him? Hate?

Right, hate.

Mukuro was that guy that broke my pride... I hate him. Yes, I hate him very much... He's nothing but a messed up herbivore. I want to bite him to death. I want to break his bones.

That's what he is.

That's who Mukuro is.

My enemy.

"Tenth!" the silverette bounded over, gave Tsuna a quick hug, then moved back to Takeshi as the swordsman stepped out of the plane.

"Ahaha, Tsuna! Wish we could've met under less 'Mafia' terms, you know?" Yamamoto laughed, before seeing Squalo. "Oh! Squalo!" he said excitedly. "You're okay!"

"OF FREAKING COURSE I'm okay!" the shark screamed, walking over to the Rain, before punching him across the face. "You damn baby, grow a few more brain cells. AREN'T YOU STILL MISSING A FEW?"

"Oi, don't talk to... don't scream at my boyfriend that way!" Gokudera hissed, sliding a pair of dynamite sticks from his pockets and holding them up threateningly.

"You guys!" Tsuna protested. "We're here to help our friends, not attack each other! We can't be fighting right now! Hayato, Takeshi, Ryohei come inside. We've got to get you in on the plan!"

Romario stepped out last, chuckling as he walked over to Dino, who had fallen over at some point during the exchange. He started to try and help Dino up, when the blond snapped back to his feet, protesting, "I'm fine, I'm fine! I was just... checking out the ground is all. Great to be back on my homeland's soil, yup!"

"Oh, boss, you never change," Romario chuckled.

"S-stop worryin' about me, I'm fine!" the blond replied, folding his arms indignantly, a blush on his face.

"Come on, now, everyone, inside," Tsunayoshi said. "We need to talk about this. We're heading out tomorrow morning."

"Morning, sir?" Romario questioned.

"That's right. We'll explain everything tonight, you guys will get some rest, and then, before the sun comes up, we're going to set out."

"Hurry now, everyone," Reborn said gravely. "This is actually a decent strategy, so we have to have you listening well."

The others nodded, and everyone filed into the Varia base, Squalo leading them to the best battle-plan development room in the world - the Varia dining room. As everyone sat down, Spanner laid out the blueprint of the base that they'd developed using Squalo and Byakuran's sparse knowledge, as well as the information that they had collected from surveilling the outside of the base. "This isn't the most accurate model, of course," Spanner sighed. "But it's the best we could hope for. Unlike the last big infiltration, none of the people we have inside are able to leak information to our computers."

"All right, well...," Gokudera growled. "It's a doodle, so what kind of a really good plan could you get just from that?"

"I developed the plan mostly, Hayato, working with Squalo, Spanner, Shouichi, and Reborn," Tsuna told him, smiling. The silverette perked.

"O-oh, really? Then it's probably great! Th-the best plan ever! For sure!" he said, blushing in embarassment. Takeshi chuckled and patted his back.

"Cute."

"Sh-shut up, baseball idiot."

Tsuna sighed. "Okay, to begin with, everyone will be wearing communicators. Chrome will lead Takeshi, Spanner, Shouichi, and Kusakabe into the base under the veil of illusions, and they will try to find a computer system and get us a more detailed map. Hayato, Ryohei, and Byakuran will remain outside of the base on standby. The second there's reports of a fight breaking out, they will attack from three sides of the base, try and break it down from the outside. I know that sounds really dangerous, but if you look at the map, you'll see that most of the cameras are along the innermost halls. We suspect that our members are being held at the heart of the base, which means attacking the outside will mean only the Spiaggia members are attacked. Once we've broken in from those three sides, we'll rush in. Everyone, try to get to the center of the base as fast as you can. Ryohei, if you reach a prisoner's room, use your Sun flames to help them. Gokudera, if you find someone, use Sistema C.A.I. to protect them while fighting off others. If Byakuran finds someone, he will simply defend against others and try to exit the base with the captive.

"Once that first wave of attacks is overwith, depending on our progress, Colonello, Lal, Reborn, and I will move in together," Tsunayoshi answered. "We've developed new attacks, which we will use to go after the guardians, as well as our primary target, Andrew Spark. Dino and Romario will come in as a separate force. We're hoping to have them be a more stealthy team that will only attack when needed, and with hope that they'll catch the Spiaggia off guard."

"I didn't expect Lal nor Colonello to help out," Reborn said with a small smirk. "But they ended up coming through for us."

"Where are they now, then?" Yamamoto asked. "It's been a while since I've seen the two of them."

"They're deeper in, getting a few of the other box weapons," Tsuna replied. "They'll be back soon. We're going to have backup box weapons that we've never used before. I know it sounds crazy... but since Spark's specialty is absorbing the attacks of others and copying them, the more attacks we have at the ready, the better of a chance we'll have. This afternoon, you can train a bit with them, or you can just wait. Hayato, Takeshi, Ryohei, Romario... you all must be tired from the trip."

"N-not at all, Tenth! We'll be fine!" Gokudera cried out.

"Either way, once morning comes, we all need to be ready," Tsuna replied seriously. "Xanxus has helped us plenty times in the past. It's our turn to help him. Mukuro, Hibari, Fran, all of them!"

"Except Levi," Squalo tagged on in a gruff voice.

"We're going to save everyone. Even take them back to Japan if need be," Tsuna muttered. "Even when Xanxus scares the crap out of me, I know that he'll be grateful for our help."

"Usheshe! If by 'grateful' you mean he'll insult you and smash crap on your head, then yeah, he'll be grateful as freaking applesauce," Rasiel snickered.

"Wow, you really are Bel-chan's brother," giggled Byakuran.

"Hey, I need to step up when the real weirdo's not here," Rasiel chuckled proudly, folding his arms.

"And you did a great job of it," Squalo huffed. "Now, I'm gonna go grab some box weapons before all the me-worthy ones are taken by you babies. Colonello and Lal are taking too damn long." He stormed off at that, and Tsuna sighed, soon looking to Gokudera.

"Thanks for coming, guys. I know I seem stressed... well... I am. But I don't want to worry you guys. This is a family we've never even heard of before, of course we'll be able to defeat them. I can't imagine a small family being incredibly strong. Then again... they did capture the Varia, who are really strong and scary..." The boss shuffled a little and sighed. "But that's not the point! Even the Varia couldn't stand up to Byakuran in the past... although... the Spiaggia apparently could..." He paused, a bit awkwardly, before saying, "The point is, I know we're gonna win! I have faith in us!"

"YEAUH! TO THE EXTREME, WE'RE EXTREMELY GONNA EXTREMELY KICK THEIR EXTREMELY EXTREME ASSES!" Ryohei shouted.

"What he said!" Tsuna announced.
