The Demigoddess were forced to take a break and attend Goode high school for their senior year. None of them were too much happy about it. To protect their identity they were forced to take disguises, no wonder they want to kill Apollo.

18. The Night After

Reyna woke up as she smelled slight motor oil and whiskey. She also noticed that she wasn't in her own bed and there was a bare skinny back sleeping soundly beside. Oh my gods, Reyna thought as she scrambled up.

Ow. Her head ached. Hangover.

Suddenly everything from last night came up.

Reyna was drinking—drinking—in a party in Camp Jupiter. It was late about 1 am when all the love birds went to their own happy little business. Leo came and talked with her.

And from there…..

I can't fucking think. Reyna wouldn't have mind an aspirin and water or hot chocolate. But right now she needed to get out of here. She just did the unthinkable. She had a one night stand with Valdez.

Valdez! LEO VALDEZ!

She hopped out of bed too fast and stood there a few minutes, dizzy and a throbbing pain inside her head. Then she scrambled for her clothes. She found them lying around the ground.

She still couldn't believe it. A one night stand with Leo Valdez. He got under her skin every time they met.

"Reyna?" Leo mumbled from his side of the bed as he slowly opened one eye to look at her. Leo wasn't surprised to find Reyna getting dressed. But he asked anyway. "What are you doing there, you could lie here for a few minutes, you know?" He smiled at her sleepily.

"I…I have responsibilities." She stumbled before glaring at him. "If you dare mention this to anyone, I'll kill you."

"I believe you." Leo murmured. "Though burning wouldn't be a good option." He suggested. "You can try drowning me. Or…. Your dagger. Your dogs will work too." He propped up on one elbow and looked at her. "Maybe you can come and sit down." He didn't know why he suggested that, it just seemed like a good—brilliant thing to do.

He didn't believe that he had a one night stand with Reyna Arellano. She scared the shit out of him. With her posture and Roman behavior. Just to forget Calypso for one night. But, as pieces came flooding back to him, he was sure that it was a side of Reyna that she didn't let anyone see.

"I don't remember much." Leo admitted to her. For some reason Reyna came and sat beside him.

"You have any aspirin by and chance, do you?" Reyna asked. "I have a nasty hangover."

"Wait a minute," Leo clicked a button and suddenly some aspirin and water popped uo in front of her. Reyna looked at it.

"What's this?" She asked him.

"Aspirin, Praetor. You asked for some, I believe?" Leo grinned at her.

"No, the table that popped up in front of me." Reyna said as she took the aspirin. "You need some?" She asked.

"Nah," Leo said in the reply to her question. "It's one of my latest inventions. It's suited to meet my needs. Whenever I need something I click a button and it pops up."

Reyna knew that look on his face. He was trying to hide that he was proud of it but he wasn't doing a very good job at hiding his pride. "You're proud of it." She acknowledged it.

"Yeah, even though." Leo paused for a moment. "Even though Jason and Piper never appreciated it." Leo winced at the look on Reyna's face. It was anger, jealousy and hurt mixed into one.

He was surprised to admit that he wanted to kill Jason and Piper for this. For hurting her. It looked like a crime to him, breaking Reyna. Calypso vanished from his mind in an instant. Leo took her face in both of his hands. Reyna flinched but didn't pull away. Leo kissed her. Reyna responded with a fire Leo didn't knew she had. Perhaps he did acknowledge last night.

Leo deepened the kiss pulling her to his lap. Reyna almost smiled under him as she wrapped her arms around his neck. After a few minutes both were breathless as they broke apart.

Leo grinned at her. Reyna stared at him for a moment. "Wow," She murmured. "I'd love to remember last night."

"Yeah, we can have another repetition of last night, you know." He smiled at her.

At that moment, Leo made a vow, that whatever he does he'll never hurt Reyna Arellano. After all, his girl deserved the best.
