Pick Up Lines

"So you're saying you've used pick up lines before?" Reyna asked with a raised eyebrow.

Leo wiggled his eyebrows at her jokingly. "Yeah, babe." They were walking near the lake of Camp Half Blood. Leo and Reyna became close friends bonding over their mutual hatred over falling in love, even though both of them were slowly falling in love with the other. Reyna and Leo had a big bowl of jellybeans with a spoon.

"I'd love to hear an example." Reyna put a spoonful of jellybeans in her mouth.

"You're so sweet you put Hershey's out of business." Leo grinned excitedly.

"Heard that one before," Reyna murmured. "Pity, I thought you could do better."

Meanwhile:

"That's where they had been sneaking out after dinner for a week." Jason whisper-exclaimed. He had a camera, recording the whole thing.

"They hadn't been sneaking out." Piper said logically. "They both…oh ok, they were sneaking out."

Piper, Percy, Annabeth and Jason were hiding in the bushes behind Leo and Reyna. Percy snorted as he heard Leo's cheesy line. Annabeth kicked him in the shin.

"Not so loud, Seaweed Brain." She muttered. "They had been dating for how long now?" She asked Piper.

Piper shrugged. "I don't think they're dating. Are they, Percy?"

Percy shook his head. "They talked with each other a lot."

"And Leo always talked about her. When he wasn't in his work shop, of course." Jason remarked.

"Shut up, both of you," Annabeth ordered. "Let's watch."

"This is good." Leo talked with his mouth filled with jellybeans.

"No it's not." Reyna argued back. "And swallow before talking."

Leo swallowed. He then leaned closely to her and looked at her in the eyes. Both were unaware that the others heart was beating faster than normal. "Babe," Leo breathed. "Can I get a map? Cuz I'm getting lost in your eyes."

Reyna's breath hitched. For some unknown reason, she wanted Leo to kiss her.

No she didn't.

It's Leo Valdez.

Leo was debating whether or not if kissing Reyna would be worth dying. Of course it would. But it wouldn't be worth to lose a friendship.

"They're gonna kiss!" Piper almost shrieked in excitement.

"I should've brought some popcorn."

"Or something blue to eat." Percy said dreamily.

Jason looked at Annabeth, Percy and Piper. "I just hope Reyna wouldn't kill us if we caught them kissing." The three shut up.

Reyna pulled away her face which was inches away from Leo. Leo shook his head and got out of a trance.

"That was…okay." Reyna said slowly. She resisted the temptation to say that she loved it.

"I have some more Reina," Leo smirked.

"Do tell," Reyna shoved some jellybeans in her mouth.

"If the stars fell every time I thought of you," Leo paused. "The sky would be empty."

Reyna gave out a twinkling laugh and Leo's heart jumped at the sound of it. He wanted to record her laugh and then play it later. But it still wouldn't be as sweet as the original laughter.

"Can you do that again?" Leo's mouth slipped out the question before he could stop it. He covered up his mouth and his eyes widened.

Reyna looked at him, confused. "Do what again?" She asked.

"Uh, nothing…um, I mean…." Leo stammered.

"Valdez," Reyna gave him a look. "Tell me."

"I-uh, well, um can you …. Laugh again?" Leo asked nervously

Reyna's mouth twitched up and her eyes rose in challenge. "I don't know, can I?"

"I take that as a challenge, m'lady." Leo smiled.

"I think Leo should have kissed her." Percy recommended.

"You kissed me after four years, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth hit him on the head. "And that was because I made the first move."

"That's new. Percy always told that he made the first move." Jason said looking at both of them.

"Did…I now? Uh, I, um… I don't think so." Percy stammered. Annabeth secretly grinned.

"W should watch the show, don't you think?" Piper asked and the four of them turned to see them.

"Are you McDonalds?" Leo went on, easily getting back on track. "Cuz I'm lovin' it."

"Heard it." Reyna said.

"When did people become courageous enough to shoot pick-up lines at the gorgeous Reyna?" Leo jokingly asked his eyes widening.

"It was a mortal." Reyna said looking at the lake.

"What?"

"It was a mortal." Reyna repeated. "Jason and I were on a quest. Somehow we ended up in the streets and a mortal used that line. Jason had to hold me back from beating him up with my bare hands."

There it was. Jason Grace. Leo knew Jason was his best friend and he shouldn't hate him. But during these times, he couldn't help but hate him. The son of Jupiter. The guy every girl had a crush on, including Reyna.

"It was never like that, between Jason and me" Reyna said suddenly like she had read Leo's mind. Leo wouldn't be surprised if she had some training reading minds. "It was just a stupid crush from my view. I never knew what it was from his view, maybe I was a friend."

Reyna shrugged. "I realize that there's more to life than the son of Jupiter." Her voice hardened. "Plus, I moved on."

Leo was silent for a moment. "You know he was an idiot not to like you, right?" He asked.

"What?" Reyna asked her calm demeanor slipping a bit.

"Duh, look at you!" Leo exclaimed. "You're beautiful. Maybe you don't have the obvious Aphrodite prettiness Piper has. But you're frigging beautiful. You know how your eyes shine when you're battling. It's like watching a something coming back to life Yeah, I noticed. The way your lips curve up when you're accepting a challenge? That's beautiful." Leo was getting closer at each point and Reyna stood there dumbfounded.

"Then when you almost killed me after the battle in Athens was finished, because I fired on your camp? That's when I realize I'll fall for you. And I have fallen for you." Leo finished. They were nose-to-nose

"They're gonna kiss!" Piper squealed.

"Shhh," Three voices shushed her.

"Okay, okay."

"Did you hear that?" Reyna jumped back. Leo's heart fell. He was facing rejection in the face.

"What." He said glumly.

Reyna was standing in a stoic position, like a panther about to attack. "Behind the bushes." She slowly walked behind the bushes, Leo behind her. "AHA!" She shouted.

Leo walked behind her and found Jason, Piper, Percy and Annabeth standing there looking sheepish.

"You guys were spying on us!" Leo exclaimed.

"We were not!" Piper argues back shrilly.

"We were um…" Jason started started.

"Passing by." "Came for a swim!" Annabeth and Percy said at the same time.

"Or maybe…" Reyna started. "You were spying on us."

"CUE RUN!" Jason shouted and the four ran.

Reyna looked at Leo. Leo was blushing furiously. He was sure getting punched by her, or worse she was going to walk out. But she kissed him. On the lips. It didn't last for more than a moment – or Leo thought so.

"I expect a proper date," Reyna said.

"Yes My Queen," Leo dazedly said.

"Now go and chase them, idiot!" Reyna shouted and Leo ran.

Leo found out Piper declaring the whole Aphrodite cabin that the Leyna ship has sailed. Percy and Annabeth laughing like spying on unaware campers was a regular occurring. Jason was the only one who looked embarrassed.

Leo was pretty sure that they recorded it. Confirmed later when Leo and Reyna were opening their wedding presents.

I know it's OOC. I got the idea from Mannequin by ThePraetorLady. And the last line was from a story called The Wedding Video by Tinkbell90
