Hello, it's been a while, hasn't it? I'm sorry I've been away for so long! Yet, since I know how much you guys hate just getting author's note chapters, I'm going to post a new chapter. Thank you all for sticking with me this far. The story might end in this chapter, how about that?
On with the story!
Arthur was awoken by Peter jumping on top of him, "Artie, Artie, Artie, Artie, Artie, Artie, Artie! Get up, it's Christmas!" Arthur groaned and turned over. Peter pulled the blanket off of Arthur only for him to curl up into a ball, "Arrrtthhuuuurrrr... Get uuuuupppppp!" When Arthur didn't respond, Peter huffed, "Fine. I'll just go open the presents without you." At this, Arthur groaned, "Fine, fine, I'm up."
Peter grinned and immediately dragged Arthur downstairs, "Yay! Presents!" Once downstairs, Arthur plopped down on the couch and watched as Peter sat next to the tree. Peter picked up the smallest present and opened it, "Yes! I knew you wouldn't let me down! ... Wait, what's this?" Behind the Pokemon X game was the unexpected Pokemon Y game. "Arthur... I love you." Arthur snorted, "No you don't. You love the fact that I got you games." Peter grinned at him, "Which makes me love ya!"
Arthur rolled his eyes, "Just open your other presents." Peter obliged and picked up a rather large present and opened it. In it, was a brand new laptop. "Yo! Arthur, where'd you get the money to buy this?" "I didn't. Our aunt sent it." "Oh..." That said, Peter continued opening presents. There were clothes, school supplies, board games, etc. When Peter got to the last box, he tried to pick it up, but it was a bit heavy.
He looked at the tag on the box. It said, 'For: Arthur, From: Santa'. Peter rose an eyebrow, "Yo, Artie, this is for you." Arthur rose an eyebrow, "Huh?" He then got up and sat next to Peter. He also looked at the tag on the box, "... What could this be?" Then, he opened the box.
Inside the box was a cute little Scottish fold kitten that was sleeping. It slowly opened it's eyes and mewed as it looked up at Arthur. Peter's eyes widened, "Oh. My. God. It's so cute!" The cat jumped a bit at Peter's loud voice before tentatively hopping out of the box and onto Arthur's lap. Arthur frowned, "... Who knew I wanted a cat? I never told anybody this..."
Then, Peter remembered something, "Wait, Arthur, wasn't there someone here last night? Maybe your boyfriend decided to get you a cat!" Arthur spluttered, "W-what!? I don't have a boyfriend!" Peter rose an eyebrow, "You don't? Then, who was here last night? I could've sworn I saw someone kiss you..." Arthur shook his head, "I assure you, I do not have a boyfriend. The person that was here last night was-"
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Arthur rose an eyebrow, "Who could that be?" Peter then hopped up, "I'll get it!" Arthur watched as Peter ran to the door, then his eyes widened, "Wait, Alfred said he would be here..." Just as Arthur placed the cat on the ground, he heard someone at the door, "Hey, sport! Is your brother here?" Arthur quickly stood up and made his way to the door as Peter replied, "Yeah, are you his boyfriend?"
When Arthur got there, he moved Peter out of the doorway, "Peter, go play with the cat, or something." When Peter did as he was told, Arthur looked up at Alfred, "H-hello... Sorry about him..." Alfred grinned, "Nah, it's fine. I kind of like the idea of being your boyfriend." Arthur blushed and looked down at his feet, "Would you like to come inside?"
Alfred stepped in when Arthur moved back, "Don't mind if I do!" After Arthur closed the door behind Alfred, they both made their way to the living room. Once there, they found Peter petting the cat. "Did you give me that cat when you were here last night?", Arthur asked Alfred. Alfred winked at him, "It was Santa." Arthur rolled his eyes, "Well, how am I supposed to take care of the cat without food or anything?" Alfred snapped his fingers, "Oh, yeah! That's what I came here for...", He glanced at Arthur, "... Among other things." "What's that supposed to mean?", Arthur rose an eyebrow. "He's hitting on you, Arthur!", Peter chimed in. Arthur glared at him, "Shut up, brat." Peter stuck his tongue out at him.
Alfred let out a laugh, "He's right! I am hitting on you. Let me go get those cat supplies, yeah? You wait here." Arthur watched as Alfred left the living room right after hitting his leg on the coffee table, causing Arthur to snort and Alfred to grin at him sheepishly. "He's such a dork...", Arthur said with a breathy chuckle.
That's when he heard his phone ring. After picking it up, he answered it, "Hello?" "Ah, cher, I'm surprised you answered. Are you coming to my party?" Arthur was about to say no and hang up when Alfred walked back in the living room, carrying a bunch of cat stuff, "Where do you want me to put this stuff, Artie?" Arthur mouthed to him, 'Anywhere.' Alfred shrugged and placed them on the couch. "Who is that? It doesn't sound like Peter.", Francis asked. "That's none of your business, Frog.", Arthur retorted. "Getting a bit defensive there, cher? Did you finally find yourself a boyfriend?" Arthur thought about telling him no, but he thought better of it. "Actually, yes.", Arthur replied smugly. That'll show the frog. There was a stunned silence on the other end of the phone, "... Sacre bleu, seriously?"
Alfred stood next to Arthur and tried to listen in on the conversation, only to be swatted away. "Yes, seriously." Arthur could practically feel Francis's gape from across the phone line. "... Prove it. Bring him to the party, I want to see him." Arthur scoffed, "Why should I? So you could try to steal him?" Alfred rose an eyebrow at this. "No, of course not. If he's dating you, he's probably not all that good looking." Arthur scowled at Francis's annoying French accent, "I'll have you know that he's quite the looker, you wanker. You know what? I'll come just to prove it to you." Then, he hung up on Francis.
Alfred tilted his head a bit, "Who were you talking to?" Arthur ignored his question as what he just told Francis actually dawned on him, "... I just agreed to go to a frog's Christmas party..."
And that's the end of this chapter! I've decided that I was going to prolong the end a bit more. Whoo! Party!
Arthur: ... I can't believe I agreed to that...
Alfred: Agreed to what!?
Peter: Can I go?
Of course, Peter.
Peter: Yay!
Alfred: Until next time, yo!
