Cute Valeship for Riestarr!

Jenna pouted jealously by her dock, her tiny bare feet still quite a ways from reaching the river's surface. It wasn't fair. Why did her brother have to be born first and get to do older things like kiss someone he liked?

Jenna had seen it! She had seen Kay kiss her brother's cheek! Felix told her she was making it up, and her parents just gave a stupid smile saying she was too young for that. Her brother was only two years older than she was! And she was just as grown up as him. Why shouldn't she get to kiss a boy on the cheek too?

"Hi, Jenna!" A happy voice called on the wind.

Jenna's face contorted into a reluctant half-smile, still wanting to seem a little upset, but when her best friend in the whole world was running to her with the biggest smile she had ever seen, she couldn't help but feel happy.

"Hi, Isaac!" She called back happily as the six-year old raced to her, waving to him with her small hand.

"Look! Look!" The boy urged quickly, shoving his arm forward toward her.

The young-pigtailed girl leaned back slightly to gaze at the object in question. It was a tiny flower growing from a small bit of earth in his palm. She was about to speak up when she looked back at the huge proud grin plastered over her friend's face.

"I grew it myself! I can do Psynergy!" He announced proudly, demonstrating this by shutting his big blue eyes tight in concentration. Jenna's mouth dropped when she saw the rings of power circle her friend for a second and the petals in the flower grew a tiny bit more.

"Wow! That's amazing! How do you do it?" She asked, poking the now slightly bigger flower.

The boy shrugged, "I… I dunno! I just can!"

"No fair!" Jenna pouted again, returning to her sulking position on the edge of the dock.

She stared sullenly at her moving reflection in the water's surface, fuming over not being able to do yet another thing.

Then the flower was shoved in front of her.

She glanced at it to Isaac's smiling face several times.

"I want you to have it." He smiled, urging her to take it from him.

Reluctantly, she did so, scooping the earth carefully into her own palm. As she did she felt a gentle heat in her face and Isaac sat beside her.

"I can keep growing them and giving them to you until you figure out how!" The boy said happily, ignorant of her elemental limitations.

This only made Jenna's face grow hotter and she could think of nothing to say. Isaac continued to babble happily and proudly of how he'd be the best adept in the world and fill it with flowers for her.

But he was soon left dumbstruck and silenced when Jenna smacked her tiny lips against his cheek and said "Thank you" before quickly running off afraid someone might have seen them.

Isaac touched his cheek softly, now the same colour as Jenna's hair, and promised to grow her all the flowers she could want.

Years later, she tossed those very flowers over her head as they became husband and wife.

Yeah, hope you like this too!
