The next day, a thunderstorm raged. Now, a thunderstorm isn't usually a big deal, but here, in Darna Village, conditions were almost always just right to fuel long-lasting storms. Everybody was used to these by now, they happened every summer. That was why everybody had a few weeks' rations stored underground in their homes. They could be stuck for days on end sometimes. However, this storm was different. It seemed to trade duration for strength, and raged at ten times the power of normal storms. It destroyed no less than half of the homes, simultaneously burning and drenching them into nothingness. Asarchi's home was lucky; it was just far enough away from the worst of it, so it avoided catastrophe. The storm only lasted for ten minutes, then stopped as abruptly as it began. The villagers left their homes (or remained outside) to assess the damage. The ones whose homes were gone felt no sadness at it, since they had no valuables anyway, as it was forbidden by the Lords of the Elements. And thatch and wood were easy to find and build ''That was some storm, wasn't it?'' Jason asked, walking next to Asarchi and David. ''Yeah. Bigger than usual. I wonder why?'' David said distractedly. Asarchi, on the other hand, was staring at a fixed point beyond the village. ''Who are those people?'' he asked. ''Who?'' Analise (who lived with Jason, though they weren't related) asked. She looked at where Asarchi was looking, at the top of a hill where two figures stood. ''Who in the Bottom Realms was out during that storm?'' Asarchi's POV... The two people began to walk closer to the village. They stopped for long enough to get the rest of the villagers to notice them, and the fact that both of them wore cloaks with the hoods up to completely cover their features, then the shorter one spoke. ''Who here is Asarchi David Ketchum?'' she asked. We didn't know who they were, so nobody answered. The two turned to each other and began talking in a different language, one that they thought we couldn't understand. However, I recognized it as a dialect of Pokespeech, so I could hear everything they said. ''They're not answering. You spoke with Him before we left. Did he describe Asarchi in any way?'' the taller one said in a male voice. ''Yes. He said that Asarchi has the ability to control the violent nature that Pokemon now have. He also said that Asarchi is around 20 years old.'' the girl answered. The two looked back at us, and I could sense them searching for the one that whoever ''He'' was had described. I went back to assessing the damage, hoping that I looked no different from the rest of the villagers. I began to remove broken wood from the closest destroyed house, working with more villagers to clear away the area and begin to fix it. We took the wood to the center of the street, where the least debris had settled. When I went back to get a second load of wood, the two seemed to have decided who they thought Asarchi was, and they walked down the hill toward us. They didn't stop until they stood directly in front of me.. ''Asarchi?'' the girl asked. I looked at David for help, and he nodded gravely. ''Yes.'' I said to the pair. ''Good. You're going to have to come with us. We have orders to bring you to Corrinth.'' the girl said. ''Why?'' I asked, trying as best I could to hide the knot that had appeared in my heart. Corrinth. The headquarters of the Lords of the Elements. What had I done to get them to notice me? I had a feeling I knew what these two were now. ''Because the High Lord wishes to see you. I am Cameron, the Lord of Electricity. This is Krila, the Lord of Flight.'' the girl said.
