Now, it has been at least a month since the Titans had stopped Killer Moth. Terra was making leaps and bounds with her training, and recently had been okayed to go into several missions. Mostly she dealt with the smaller criminals, but her powers were now well in her control. No more minor earthquakes, or random rocks breaking through the windows of the tower.
The rest of the team continued to grow together in power and skills. Unfortunately, that didn't mean they had their little hiccups. For example, only a few days ago, Starfire began wearing more accessories to hide certain parts of her body, such as the large green hat, the red-striped scarf, or the blue oven mitts. Solor became rather worried about his friend, and felt that she was avoiding him especially for some reason. Finally, enough was enough, and he approached the Tamaranean's door at a time when she was for certain in her room, and knocked three times.
"Starfire? It is Solor. Is everything alright?" he asked, making sure his ears were very alert. He wanted to make sure he could gauge her condition depending on her response. And needless to say, he didn't like what he heard one bit. The minute he finished talking, he heard a high pitched squeak, and what sounded like something hitting the floor rather hard. There was a slight groan, before an unsure voice finally replied.
"I am fine!" Starfire called, her voice muffled by the door… and probably her blanket. The dragon frowned at that.
"Are you sure? You and I have not done any sparring in a week… you have not pestered me to take you to the mall of shopping as of late, and… I heard that you ate Beast Boy's four week old tofu. Are you certain everything is alright?"
This time the answer was a bit more hesitant. "Yes, friend Solor. I am certain. I wish to be left alone."
That convinced him otherwise. Starfire almost never wanted to be alone, even when she embarrassed herself. The dragon growled a bit. "Kreinyol", he began, slipping into his native language, "you will open this threshold or I will break it down!"
It took only seconds for the door to open, and Starfire, still garbed in her new accessories, was soon standing in front of him. "What does that mean?" she asked, as if it really mattered all of a sudden. "What are you saying to me?"
Solor immediately put up his hands. If there was someone he didn't want to get mad, it was Starfire. "Nothing", he said, quickly dispelling her anger. "It is just your name. Krein means Sun, seeing as the sun is a star, and Yol means fire."
Starfire suddenly understood, and lowered her eyes. "Oh… I was wondering why the future Solor always referred to me as such… I did not think much of it back then, but now it makes sense."
"What did you think it meant?" Solor asked, sounding very concerned. "You only asked me a few things about my language, and it has always been because of genuine curiosity. This time… something is wrong."
Starfire turned, walking into her room, followed closely by the dragon as she crossed her arms. "I am… concerned. Strange things have been happening to me as of late… and Raven said at first it was a zit, but then… more things started happening to me, and it is changing how I look, and I am afraid I'm turning into a monster, and-"
Solor silenced her by removing her hat, throwing it to the other side of the room before he forced her to turn around before she could register what happened. "Um… that wasn't there before", he said, pointing at the bump on her head.
It finally registered what happened, and the alien quickly pulled away, covering her head with her oven mitted hands. "No, you must not look! I am becoming a monster!"
At that, Solor frowned, and gently took a hold of her hands, guiding them down before he gently removed her mittens, this time with her grudgingly letting him. He stared at her hands and nails, before looking at her scarf. He then removed it, revealing her tusked neck, and making her wince slightly. At that, more seemed to happen to her. Her ears became pointed, her skin was covered with small scales, and her feet grew large and hairy, breaking through her boots. As this all happened, she looked more and more depressed, and he wasn't sure what to say.
"… it cannot be that bad."
Starfire looked up at him, staring at him with a slightly annoyed look.
"Okay, it is a little… much… but think, Starfire", Solor said, looking her in the eyes. "If you were becoming a monster, would you not have hurt us by now? Would you not become more cruel and heartless? Did you not say long ago that a monster would have destroyed the city by now?"
Starfire heard her own words being thrown at her, and did not answer, looking ashamed.
"Starfire, you are my closest friend. And I am here to help you", he continued, moving her to the bed and sitting down alongside her. "Now, think. What usually happens naturally in the growing body of a Tamaranean that can spark such a change?"
The way he phrased the word "naturally" really struck her as odd, and she concentrated on it for a while. After a moment, her eyes suddenly went wide, and she looked at her friend with a relieved smile. "You think that… I am going through Transformation?"
"… I am assuming that is the Tamaranean term for puberty, so, sure, let us say yes."
Starfire giggled a bit, and shook her head. "Transformation is when an individual comes of age, and goes through a physical change before they are considered an adult. It can last any number of days and cause a wide variety of physical changes during the duration. My sister only turned purple for two days before her Transformation was complete."
"So basically it is the final stage of a tamaranean's youth before becoming a mature adult", Solor said, summing it up. He then glared a bit. "It is still a ways off before I become an adult in the eyes of my people…"
Starfire then giggled lightly, and poked his shoulder, lightly. "Then I suppose that means that I am the elder of us!"
Solor opened his mouth to object. He was over 700 years old, after all. But in the end, he opted for the less revealing path. "Yes, I suppose you are", he said, sighing. He got up, looking over at her. "Starfire, if it bothers you that much, then perhaps you should stay here for a while… until your transformation is over."
The alien nodded, standing up as well. She pulled him into a tight hug, mumbling her thanks into his neck, then ushered him over to the door, where he was kicked out just as the alarm went off. He couldn't help but look back at the door with a small smile, before turning around and heading for the living room, ready for whatever trouble was heading their way.

"Seriously, guys, how did you come up with that combo? I never thought of anything like that before!"
Solor and Terra both looked a little embarrassed, with the latter scratching the back of her head while the former was looking more annoyed than anything else. "It was nothing, Beast Boy", Solor said, shaking his head. "I figured the sludge that Plasmus was made out of was flammable, and set him on fire with my flame breath. While he was distracted, Terra decided to try and contain him within the earth, which worked. The lack of oxygen made him lose breath, and he passed out without any harm or foul." He then looked at his student, and couldn't help but puff out his chest in pride. "And thanks to my teaching, Terra has become much stronger, and more in control of her powers. I would not be surprised if at some point, she could take on Slade without any aid whatsoever."
Terra blushed, understanding the dragon's compliment. "It was nothing, guys. I wouldn't be so well off if it wasn't for smoke breath's training." The nickname caused the dragon to deflate and grumble a bit.
"My breath doesn't smell that bad", he said, looking a bit down. Terra only giggled, before turning to Beast Boy.
"So, we're on for that movie now, right?" she asked, and the changeling quickly nodded.
"Movie? What movie?" Cyborg asked. "Don't tell me you said yes…"
The two in question both blushed and glared at Cyborg. "What's wrong with her saying yes?"
"Yeah! I mean, yeah, he's green. That doesn't mean I can't like him", Terra said, defending her choice.
Solor waved his hands. "Wait a moment. What are you talking about? I have no idea what is going on here."
"Isn't it obvious?" Raven said, rolling her eyes. "Beast Boy and Terra are going on a date."
The word sent Solor reeling, before he puffed up in rage. "W-what?!" He turned to the two of them, glaring. "You decided to do the dating when you know we have team sparring with the coming of the dawn?! Are you-?!"
"Serious? Yeah", Beast Boy said. "I mean, why can't I?"
Solor only glared, before growling angrily and turning around. "I am retiring for the night. Do not disturb me."
The rest of the team watched in confusion, as the dragon passed by. It took a moment, before Robin finally figured out what made the dragon so upset. "I think you two dating is what set him off."
"Well, that's kind of obvious", Terra said, huffing as she crossed her arms. "What's got his shorts in a bunch?"
Cyborg finally got it as well, and shook his head. "Um… I think he's jealous of you two." When he was met with looks of confusion, he clarified. "Solor said that with his people, dating is a luxury he can't afford. Whether he wants to or not, he has to wait until he becomes an adult before he can even think about getting close to any girl like that."
"Well, boo hoo for him", Beast Boy said, glaring. "Just because he can't have a good time, we're suddenly the bad guys?"
Terra nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I mean, I appreciate him for everything he's done for me, but he needs to lay off. What we do is none of his business."
Robin frowned at that, as did Raven. "We won't stop you, but maybe in the future you should be a bit more sensitive to Solor's traditions. He may have expected more from you two."

Then dragon growled, beginning to lift his weights again. Since the issue with Robin back when Slade was public enemy number one, he had managed to use the Titan's tab to purchase himself his own weight-lifting equipment. Each set of weights on the bar weighed a good 2000 pounds, which were well under his limit. Now that he could exercise in peace, he was expecting no more interruptions this night.
"Friend Solor?"
Except from his best friend. He sighed, lowering his weights and rolling his shoulders. "The door is open, Starfire. Come on in."
The door opened, and the radiant figure of Starfire stepped in, back to her old self. "Is everything okay? I heard you yelling, and wished to make sure you are alright."
"I am fine… just a little upset from Terra", he said, grunting as he began doing pushups. "Tomorrow is our big team exercise day, and she and Beast Boy are going on a date." "I mean… I am happy for them, that they have found each other and are willing to spend time together, but they are cutting into an important exercise, and they will not be at full capacity when they do go into the exercise."
Starfire nodded, watching him workout. "Solor, Beast Boy and Terra are not children. They are bound to do things that will not aid them, but they have to learn from their own mistakes."
"I know, I know", Solor grunted, flipping over and beginning to do situps. "It still bugs me, though. If they are going to end up against me, I want them at their fullest, not exhausted from a night of… I believe the term is 'making out'?"
Starfire looked surprised at Solor, ignoring the making out comment completely. "You are planning on sparring with the others? I thought you chose not to fight them?"
Solor sighed, and lay down on the ground, looking up. "Star, let us face it. I am going soft. A lack of a challenge has left me… complacent with how life has been going for me." He sat up, grunting a bit. "So, I shall challenge the others in my human form. I believe Raven shall be a good sparring partner." He then noticed Starfire's crestfallen look, and quickly added, "but should I go against you, I shall fight you with full strength, as usual."
That seemed to make her feel better, as she smiled at him. "Well, I shall leave you to your warming up. Good night, Solor."
"Good night, Star", he said back to her. "Oh, and I am glad I could help you out earlier."
Starfire smiled back at him, and only nodded in thanks before turning away, heading back to her room for the night.

Needless to say, when Solor offered himself as a sparring partner, everyone happened to be rather surprised. Robin immediately was shot down, though, when he tried to take him up on his challenge. Although Solor did have a good reason for doing that.
"Robin, I am considerably weaker in my human form, and I don't have the advantage of years of hand to hand combat. If anyone is going to spar with me first, it would have to be Raven. Beast Boy and Terra, as I assumed, stayed out too late last night, and are no longer at full power", he said, pointing to the exhausted couple sleeping in the corner, "and I can't physically do any damage against Cyborg due to his metallic body. Raven is the only person that I can spar with that I have a fair match against."
"Fine… but you two have to go first", Robin said, pointing to the sparring area they had chosen. Right at the base of the tower was the remains of the obstacle course, and instead of fully repairing it, the Titans decided the mix of nature and industry left the place as the perfect sparring grounds for all of them.
Raven glared at the dragon. "Nice. Now I have to fight before my meditation."
Solor only rolled his eyes. The two had a mutual feeling of respect for each other, but that didn't mean they got along all of the time. "You can meditate when we have finished",he said, growling as he shifted into his human form.
That was when it all went to shit.
Just as the two were about to start, Raven growled in sudden pain, clutching her head. The dragon, who was in a battle stance, suddenly stood up straight, alarmed at her reaction. "Raven? Are you alright?"
"S-Solor… run! S-Something… or s-someone is… enhancing my rage!"
"What?!" Almost immediately, he realized what was going on, as his thoughts reflected back to the words again.
Darkness extinguish light.
When Raven's eyes opened, they were blood red, and another set had appeared above her primary eyes. She held up her hand, which was covered in a dark energy. And when she spoke, it was in a language the others had never heard, but Solor could understand her easily.
"Il mii koraav vir pogaas do hask hi los fod hi los voluk nol agosend, mal Kun pusojur! Voth daar gein, Zu'u fent oblaan hask midrak faal Al, ahrk drun lein wah Vulom! Bex nu! Luv do Oblivion!" she roared, casting a very old spell that should have been impossible for her to form at her skill level. But it wasn't her fault; something was controlling her now.
And it was hell bent on getting rid of him.
"Let Raven go, you cowardly worm!" Solor roared, running forward. But it was too late; the spell was cast, and the perpetrator was gone from her body, leaving her dazed and unable to cancel the spell. Behind the dragon was a black portal, and like a vacuum, it began sucking him in slowly, even as he ran as fast as he could. Eventually, he crouched to the ground, attempting to grab something that could hold him in place.
"Solor!" Starfire cried, attempting to get close. However, she stopped when her friend raised his hand.
"Starfire… I can not fight it! And if I concentrate to turn into my normal form… I shall be pulled in!" He roared in agony, hating that he was going to lose this battle. "I… cannot believe it… but I will not be winning this battle!"
The rest of the Titans were scrambling, trying to find a way to destroy the tear behind Solor, or pull him to safety. The longer he stayed there, though, the more powerful the vacuum became, and he knew it wouldn't be long before the others were in danger.
He had no choice.
At the shock of his friends, the dragon turned human let go, allowing his body to fly through the air towards the tear in reality.
Not even he knew where it would end.

And so… this story has come to a conclusion. I felt that it was time for this story to end, since I'm like… most of the way done with the second season of Teen Titans. This story was never meant to go this far, and I'm actually fairly surprised that it was received so well.
Do not fear, though. Solor will be back… in two different stories this time! One, I'm planning a crossover with my fellow author, Splinter1. He and I have talked it over, and have decided that we're going to do a crossover with our characters, due to the amazing similarities our draconic Titans have. Don't worry, they will have differences as well. And as for the other story… well, I have to continue this one somehow, don't I? I'm not just gonna leave you guys hanging.
But, this is the end of Banished Titan. And hopefully, the beginning of an all new threat.
