Chapter 49. Rage

"Raven?…Raven… wake up" said a voice softly.

"She's not waking up… what are we going to do?" said another desperate voice.

"Calm down, she's only exhausted." said the first voice.

"Dead to the world you mean?…" said yet, another angry voice. Her words sipping with sarcasm.

"Raven is dead?… Are we…"

"Enough you two. No, Raven is not dead. Just unconscious for the time being."

"A wretched time for her to decide to be unconscious, don't you think?" said the angry voice again. "If you wouldn't have intervened, I would have been able to destroy the damned mountain and still escape the avalanche."

"I'm sure you would have Red, but it wasn't the right way to proceed"

"Of course it wasn't. if it was up to me, I would have aimed for that whore instead of taking it out of a damned rock." they heard muffled whimpers behind them and Rage turned in its direction with two sets of glowing red eyes "Shut up Timid! This whole thing its your fault" Rage yelled as she approached the whimpering emotion, but Wisdom stepped in front of her, ignoring the death glare aimed her way and grabbed her by the arms with a strength Rage didn't know the other emotion possessed.

"Get. Out. Of my way Blue" said the enraged emotion thru gritted, sharp teeth.

"No!. Timid is not to be blame and neither is Mel…"

"DON'T say that name in front of me. If it wasn't for Garfield, she would be rotting in a far away dimension and avoided all… this. Not to be blamed? That fucking whore is the only one to be blamed and you know it"

"Red, do watch your language"

"Spare me the manners Blue. You know I don't give a crap about that"

"Then you're going to have to restrain yourself and listen to me. Everything happens for a reason. Answer me this Red, if she wouldn't have done what she did, Garfield would have perished and what we have accomplished up until now, would have never come to be but, if somehow, we were to find out that there had been a way to save him, don't you think it would have made you angrier than now? To know that he would have had a chance ? The current events would even be welcomed all in exchange for his life. Don't you think that if she would've chosen not to act upon their desperate situation you would still condemn her for not doing so?" Wisdom said calmly.

"What about the child? It will be a constant reminder"

"We don't know if the child is Gar's even though he feels responsible. But one thing its certain Red, the child is not, has never been and will never be at fault."

"But Garfield is ours… why do we have to share him?" said Rage, still angry but one set of eyes was gone.

"Red? Regardless of a child on the way or not. Or whether Garfield is the father or not. Meliah is going to be a very close part of our lives for as long as we remain with him, which, is going to be for the rest of our lives as we have promised to marry him."

"But what if… he leaves us? What if he decides… to stay with her instead… what if…" said Timid, with glistening eyes.

"Timid? We don't know that. The only thing I know is that we can offer him our unconditional support. Let him decide with a clear head. Right now he's also overwhelmed with the news."

"Is that what I should do then? Ignore my pain and pretend it doesn't affect me?" said Raven quietly. The three emotions turned her way. Wisdom was the first to approach then Timid, and together, they helped Raven to sit. Rage remained behind, arms crossed over her chest with a slightly relieved sigh..

"No Raven, we're not ignoring the pain rather we are approaching the cause, or attempting to with a leveled head. He needs to know that regardless of the outcome, we will be there for him"

"But I feel frustrated, angry, sad. Everything and anything that a shouldn't be able to is revolving inside me"

"Its ok to feel the way you feel right now Raven, just, don't let the wrong… influences guide your actions and decisions." Wisdom said while glancing at Rage who glared back but said nothing and turned around instead. Raven then looked around for the first time. It was dark but there was a certain dimmed light that shone over their heads and that's how she could see her emotions, but beyond their presence, there was an infinite darkness. It was cold, but not as cold as it should have been.

"Where are we?" Raven asked and tried to get up but she felt too weak to even remain in a sitting position.

"We…" Wisdom said while gesturing to herself and the other two emotions. "… are still in your mind. You however, are still trapped in the avalanche."

"Then how…"

"We managed to create a shield of dark energy around you to protect you from the impact but it wont last long. All that penned up frustration you let out, also drained your powers. You need to call for help"

"No one knows… where I went to and… I feel… cold… I cant… breath…" Raven's eyes started to close and her breathing started to be laborious.

"Raven… try to remain…awake…" Said Wisdom with as much difficulty. Timid collapsed first. Rage was walking towards her mistress with obvious dizziness but she held on longer.

"Raven… do you remember who got us in this mess… in this deplorable, pointless and ridiculous situation right? … remember how angry that made you feel?"

"Red… what are you doing?"

"Giving her a reason to fight back, now quiet!…"

"No!… she'll be miserable if you fill her with thoughts of revenge. That wont take us anywhere" Said Wisdom, with an anger of her own. Rage smiled maliciously.

"Its working on you, isn't it?" Rage said with an evil smile and Wisdom frowned at that.

"I have a better idea"

Garfield watched as Cyborg took Meliah away. He felt lost. Numb. Confused. Both Raven and Meliah refused to speak to him. Raven even disappeared in one of her portals without so much as a hint of hope of "I'll be right back"… no, she was hurt and he knew it.

Robin was talking to father Dawa when he saw Garfield walk out of the chamber with his head down. He excused himself from the monk and run to catch up with the changeling.

"Beast Boy, where are you going?" asked Robin with some concern. Garfield stopped but didn't face his leader, instead, he spoke softly over his shoulder.

"I need to find Raven… I need to… fix all this somehow"

"Look Beast Boy, I don't know the details of what's going on, just a general idea but I want you to know that I'm here for you and Raven and Meliah. Whatever it is, you don't have to go through it alone" Robin said while he resume walking next to his friend.

"Thanks dude… I just, don't know what to do right now"

"One thing at the time Beast Boy. Meliah is already being taken care of and I'm sure Raven just…needs some time alone. Give her time. We'll leave as soon as we make sure everyone in the monastery is ok and safe."

"Do you really think Slade found a cure?" asked Garfield after a moment of walking in silence.

"It looks that way. Cyborg is running test on the serum Slade had given Meliah, hopefully from there, Cyborg can find the right components and recreate it. From what I understood, her condition is very advanced but… do you know what he was trying to bargain with? I mean, if he went through all that trouble as to find a cure for a rare condition, that means there's got to be something of equal importance or perhaps more than he wanted in exchange. Do you have any idea of what it could be?"

Beast Boy frown at this. With all the big news, he never thought about what Slade would be asking in return. "He never said what it was. He was trying to convince her why should she make a deal with him but he never got to the part of what he wanted in exchange." they both fell silent again. Each lost in their own thoughts. By then, they had reached the outside.

The snow had stopped falling. There were remains of Slade-bots scattered all over the court. The fires had been put out and there was a small replica of a shuttle just on the other side of the wall where Robin had arrived in, but, no sign of Raven.

"Raven where are you…" whispered Garfield to himself while looking around but Robin heard him.

"Here, lets see if we can pinpoint her exact location" Robin said as he flipped open his communicator and pressed the homing device button to locate the others in his team. After close inspection however, he frowned. "She's not in the monastery …"

"What.. Where is she?" asked Beast Boy with new concern and turned to Robin's communicator.

"Not.. Sure… still in the area but far… she's …" Robin lifted his head, looking beyond the wall, Garfield followed his gaze but his ears picked up a far away, muffled rumble higher up in the distance. When he looked up, almost as high as the peak of the mountain in front of them, he squinted his eyes in the moonlight and saw a cloud of powdery snow rise as it plummeted down the mountain. Robin followed his gaze and when he spotted the movement, pulled up a pair of small binoculars from his belt.

It was far up high but he could tell the massive amount of snow falling furiously. "Its an avalanche… its…" but he was interrupted with the beeping sound of his communicator indicating one of the homing devices had gone offline. Sharply he looked down at the device then back up and whispered "Raven…" then he turned to the changeling, but he was already running across the court then jumped over a pile of robots and transformed into a pterodactyl in mid air, flapping its massive wings to gain altitude and speed.

Robin followed suit and as he run, he opened his communicator again "Starfire! Quickly, meet me outside. Raven is hurt, we need to go atop the mountain."

"Right away Robin" she said and less that a minute later, she came flying out of the monastery. "Star, drop me off where the T-ship is and follow Beast Boy up the mountain, find Raven, I'll be right behind you" she nodded and picked him up by his torso and flew as fast as she was able to without putting him in danger and carefully dropped him next to the aircraft then took off after the green pterodactyl that was already far away.

Robin got in the cockpit, turned on every switch and lever and soon started to hover above the snowy ground before taking off in their direction. And as he piloted the ship, he was also trying to map out the last coordinates where Raven's communicator had been last before it went offline.

Meanwhile, Garfield flew for what he thought an eternity. The faster he flapped his wings, the farther his destination seemed while he thought " please be ok Rae , I'm coming… please, please just… be ok…" but as he approached the highest part, the cold wind picked up. His chest started to hurt and started to get difficult to fly with such massive extremities. Finally he was able to reach the site but as soon as he landed, he sank in. Starfire pulled him out before he was too deep and took him to a nearby rock.

Robin had the last coordinates on the radar, but as he approached, realized how dangerous the slide really was.

"Star, Raven's last location is fifteen degrees north east or your current position but be careful. The snow is not settled yet. We cant risk another avalanche"

"Very well, Robin" Starfire said and carefully approached but as predicted, as soon as she started to move snow around, it started to slide and more snow was tumbling down the mountain in their direction but stopped after a couple of minutes. Robin returned to the radar in hopes of getting a reading on something when suddenly, heard an echo in his head and his vision went completely dark. Robin gasped at the chill of the feeling but his surprise was replaced with relief at the familiar sensation but immediately overwhelmed by the wave of emotion that came with their open mental link. Because not only could Raven see thru his eyes and mind but it was also a two way link.

Raven had explained to him once how it worked after his hallucinations with Slade had gone. The link was permanent, just blocked for privacy. She had also explained that if she was to lose concentration, he would also be able to see and feel what she experienced. And right now, he felt the sadness, frustration but most of all, anger.

"Raven?" he whispered.

"Forgive my intrusion Robin, but I had no other way to communicate"

"Raven! Are you ok? Where are you? We're right above the site. But every time Star or Beast Boy try to get thru the snow, we risk another avalanche that could bury you further"

"I'm… ok for the time being. Inside an energy barrier. But my powers are drained, too weak to keep it up for long"

"Don't worry Raven, we'll get you out of there"

"There is one more thing I can do to which I'm going to need your help with"

"Anything. We're here to help"

"I can get out but when I do, I need Garfield to be as far away from me as he can"

"Why? Raven, you know he's not going to go away"

"Then have Starfire restrain me, because what little energy I have left is from a not so friendly side of me and Garfield is close by, I don't want him to get hurt"

"You're angry with him"

"Not particularly but my anger issues have to focus on something"

"… Very well, whenever you're ready" Robin said and immediately, there was silence in his mind, the overwhelming feelings were not constricting his chest anymore and his eye sight was back. He could see the changeling transforming into a polar bear as he tried to get further in the snow but soon a Saber tooth tiger jumped out and perched back on the rock while more snow tumbled down the cliff.

"Beast Boy!, you need to get away from there" Robin said with urgency and saw the tiger turn back to his human form.

"I'm not going anywhere dude. We need to get her out of there"

"I know, but she doesn't want to hurt you"

"You talked to her?! When? Where is she? Is she ok?" Garfield said. He felt a mix of relief and jealousy but ignored it.

"Mental link. She can get out but…" a rumble deep within the snow was heard. Soon, more snow started to slide and to their surprise, from the spot where they had pinpoint her location, a dark bubble rose that soon dissolved and showed a dark figure, hovering above the avalanche and facing the T-ship where Robin was, but as soon as the hooded figure raised her head, Robin saw with a gasp of surprise, four glowing red eyes with a sinister sneer.

Soon he realized her earlier warning and his eyes moved to the changeling behind her, hoping he wouldn't make a sound, but she didn't miss the detail and a malicious, murderous smile crossed her features and she turned slowly towards the changeling.

Garfield knew somehow that this confrontation would have place sooner or later and Rage was strong enough to take over and get revenge.

"I'm here Raven" he yelled over the rumble the snow made. He stood up on the rock.

"You!" said Rage but as soon as she tried to fly over to him, she was caught in a vise like grip around her shoulders.

"Oh Raven, is so good to see you, I was worried we would not be able to reach you on time"

"Star… let me go" Rage warned. Star lifted her face from Raven's shoulder and made an "Eep!" sound as she realized how angry Raven was. Star had seen Raven like that before. A side of her that Raven always tried to keep suppressed. She also remembered her when she saw her for a brief moment in the roof a few weeks ago but her excitement never falter and was happy never the less for her friend to be healthy enough to be that angry.

"Oh, forgive me. You're Raven's angry side, are you not?" Star asked, still not letting go.

"Yes… and you're on my way" she warned again but her words fell on deaf ears when another round of hugs followed.

"Oh, it is so nice to finally meet you. It is always exciting to know more about Raven… come with me we have much to talk about" Star said and pulled an angry Raven with ease away from the avalanche.

Garfield turned into a falcon and flew towards the T-ship were Robin had open the latch. Once inside, they look at each other in silence. There was no telling what Robin's eyes said but Robin saw the hurt and anger in his green friend's eyes and he knew why.

"Beast Boy. That mental link is been there for years. Its permanent, it cant go away, she told me that. But I promise you this is the only other time we have ever made use of it"

"How did you… you know what? Never mind. She's angry with me, I get it" he said and sat down in front of the control panel.

"Its not just anger Beast Boy. She's hurt." Robin said softly.

"I know man, don't you think I know that?!" Garfield yelled not able to contain his frustration any longer. "You know what?, I never had that… magical connection with her that you have. It took me years of bruises, pain and insults to get where I am now and you know where is that? A place and moment where I can be with the girl of my dreams. But all that is shattering and she thinks somehow its my fault. But you know what? I love her. I wont let what we have go to waste. Or you or Michael or anyone else to get on the way."

"Beast Boy… we're just friends, we have been for years, all of us. You don't have to feel threatened by that" Robin said quietly. Taken by surprise by his friend's sudden outburst.

"We are, but sometimes, I'm not so sure about you" Garfield said and with that, turned around and got out of the T-ship and turned into a pterodactyl once more and headed down to the monastery.

Robin was still taken aback, thinking carefully about Garfield's words. "He couldn't possibly be jealous" he told himself out loud.

"I'm afraid he is" said Raven in his head.

"Raven! Are you ok? Is Star…"

"Star is fine. You know I would never hurt her. She convinced me to meditate and that's what we're doing."

" He's on his way down there, will you talk to him?"

"Yes"

"…you heard everything he said? How did you know he's been mad at me, he's never said anything like it before"

"I found out recently when Starfire told me she's been mad at me for the same reason. Look, I have to go. I can sense him getting close. We'll talk later. Make sure to leave soon and take Meliah to the tower. I'm afraid her condition is more precarious than what Cyborg or her led us to believe."

"What about you?"

"I will stay behind and take care of the monks. I'll take care of Slade as well. I'm also curious about his intentions behind all this. … Gar's here…" and just like that, her presence in his mind was gone. He looked around, he was still in the T-ship, hovering above the cliff. The avalanche had finally stopped and the only sounds were those of the wind and the aircraft's humming engine. Robin took a deep breath. One that encompassed confusion, curiosity but most of all, relief that no one was in anymore danger for the moment. So, he guided the aircraft back to the monastery and hoped that his friends could come to better terms.

Raven had finally calmed down enough to suppress Rage. She remember with mild amusement how the alien handled her demonic side. She had been as friendly and enthusiastic as only Starfire could be, no matter who she addressed. They had landed in the front of the monastery. Many monks had been busy moving the remains of the robots but stopped at the sight of the struggling sorceress in the arms of the alien.

Father Dawa had been among them and approached them but Starfire had given him a smile and had said "Please, it is unwise for any of you to get any closer. Raven is not feeling well" Raven then made a sudden move and was now facing the monk with four red, glowing eyes and sharp, serrated teeth.

"Rage shall consume you! … let me go Starfire, I will reap her apart… let… me… go!" said Rage and struggled some more. The monks backed away. Father Dawa was about to ask if Raven had meant her murderous intentions for Meliah but Starfire wisely stopped him before he could mutter the name. Star knew that if Raven let go completely of her control over her demonic side, she would be no match for her but, as Rage was still subdued in her grip, then knew that Raven was weak, but not lost.

"Friend Raven? Please calm down. You don't really want to hurt anybody" pleaded Starfire.

"I'm not Raven, I'm Rage you fool! You'll be wise and let me go before I hurt you too" her voice was slightly different from Raven's in a malignant way but still, Starfire never let go.

"I'm afraid I cannot do that friend Rage. If I let you do what you want, then friend Raven will be left to live with the consequences…. Friend Raven, please, you're safe now. Whatever troubles you, you're not alone to face. I am your friend that is a girl, you can confide in me… Please Raven" Star said and pulled her into a tighter hug. Rage's struggle intensified along with her need to breath and soon gave in and fell limp. Starfire however, didn't trust the demonic entity and held her tightly still, until a new wave of struggle started. This time, with a breathless, muffled voice that was more familiar.

"Star… cant ..breath…" the alien carefully lifted her head to face her friend. The second pair of eyes were gone and the ones that remained were purple again. In her excitement, Starfire pulled the sorceress into another, yet brief hug and finally let go.

"Friend Raven, you're back. Friend Rage is not very friendly but I knew you were there all along!" Raven fell on her knees and breathed in deeply, still unable to speak. Star followed her to the ground and waited patiently for her friend to recover.

"Yes, Star. She's not very friendly but I'm glad you didn't get hurt"

"Raven, why were you in the mountain? Why did you want to hurt friend Beast Boy? Is he not your beloved?" she asked innocently. Raven took another deep breath. She knew her questions were out of worry but still she wished she didn't have to answer them.

"Because I was upset and when I'm that upset, its easier for Rage to take over. I didn't want to take my anger out on anyone so I went up there. But by then I was too exhausted to escape the avalanche. I had to remember why I was angry in the first place to be able to get out with what little energy I had left"

"Are you still upset?" Starfire asked with concern and Raven nodded but the alien took her hand and gave her a gentle squeeze. "Would you like to meditate? We can do it together like before. It will help you feel better" she said with a smile. Where does she get all that optimism? Asked Raven to herself but instead, gave her friend a tiny smile and nodded her agreement.

Both girls crossed their legs into a lotus position and hovered above the snowy ground. Chanting Raven's mantra quietly over and over. Starfire opened one eye to take a peak at her friend and with relief noticed Raven was visibly more relaxed, more like herself.

Garfield was glad Raven was ok. Perhaps she had never been in danger and she had been just too upset. He also knew she was blaming him for something he wasn't blame. Its not like he cheated on her or that whatever happened with Meliah had been with his consent. Heck, he had been unconscious for crying out loud. But he also knew that that didn't mean Raven wouldn't be upset by it.

Meliah was also in his mind. Why keep her illness a secret? Her pregnancy? didn't she know he would never abandon her to her fate? Regardless of the child being his or not, he would never blame her for anything or send her away. Why would she want to go thru all that by herself when she obviously needed him? If Slade was right and his blood held the key to her cure then he would drain his vain to keep her alive.

But regardless of all that. Regardless of the outcome, he loved Raven and he would be with her as planned. He knew their love was young and vulnerable but he would do everything and anything to save it. He would show her she's got nothing to worry about. Even if it meant to face her angry side.

He was close enough to the monastery now. He slowed down his flight and softly landed a few feet away. Starfire was the first one to noticed him. Apparently she had been trying to concentrate on meditating like Raven did but with no success. Probably as a precaution in case Rage took over again. Starfire gave him a nod and silently flew away inside the building.

He approached Raven slowly. Didn't want to disturb her unnecessarily. She seemed calmed and breathed in and out slowly. He tried to reach her cheek but stopped halfway, closed his hand and retrieved it. Looked down and closed his eyes for a moment, not sure of what to say. But then, he felt her hand in his. When he opened his eyes, she was no longer hovering in the air and her eyes were open. They looked at each other in silence for endless seconds until she closed the gap and kissed him.

He was taken by surprise, he expected anything but this but he wasn't about to complain. He kissed her deeply and when they pulled apart, he didn't let go and pulled her in a hug.

"Don't ever do that again Rae. I don't know what I would do if I lost you"

"I'm sorry… I'm sorry , I just didn't know what else to do. I was too upset and then… I know its not your fault, I really do, its just that it took me by surprise and I didn't know how to handle it. But I also know that if she hadn't done anything I would have lost you and I cant even consider what would have happened then."

"I'm sorry for everything … " he started to say but she interrupted him with another kiss. A brief yet full of hope kiss. When they pulled apart, he smiled and said "I love you Rae"

"I love you too Gar, but first things first. You need to take Meliah back to the tower where Cyborg can start her treatment. If Slade is right, her condition its much too vulnerable to keep waiting around."

"You're not coming?" he asked with some concern.

"Not yet. Someone needs to stay behind and help the monks clean up this mess. And with Meliah, I wish I could say my healing powers could help but her problem is in her blood. I can repair muscles and tissue, even regrow bones with some effort but blood is different. Besides, right now I'm calm enough but not entirely. I need time"

"I want to stay with you" he said as he caressed her cheek. She leaned into his hand and gave him a weak smile.

"I wish you could too but she needs you more than ever right now. I'll be fine, its only for a few days."

Then they heard the T-ship land on the other end of the court. Robin emerged and smiled when he saw them in each other's arms . Instinctively, Garfield pulled her closer .Robin nodded once before continuing on his way inside the building.

"Does he know?" Garfield asked nodding towards their leader once he was out of sight. Raven nodded.

"Only out of necessity. Meliah needs proper medical treatment soon. All of you are leaving tonight." he nodded but avoided eye contact. He knew she noticed his possessive gesture, his insecurity and made him feel embarrassed.

"Gar… look at me" he shook his head and buried his face in her shoulder.

"I'm sorry, I cant help it" he said and buried his face even further in her neck, causing her to have goose bumps.

"Gar, you have nothing to worry about, from him or anybody else, I promise" she said in his ear then placed a soft kiss on his neck. This gave him a jolt of nerves and hugged her tighter.

"Ow, ow, not so tight, I haven't been able to heal the bruises Star left when she tried to contain Rage earlier" they both laughed at that, distracting them from the tension for a moment. When they pulled apart he gave her a chaste kiss on the lips before letting her go.

Behind them they heard movement. The others were coming out. Cyborg was carrying the equipment, Robin carried a crate with vials in one hand and the bag that contained the serum still attached to Meliah's arm on the other and Starfire helped Meliah walk with an arm around the girl's waist to keep her balanced.

Meliah gave them a small smile. She was truly happy Raven was not mad at him anymore. As they ascended into the aircraft, Garfield took Raven's hands and placed a kiss on each one.

"I'll see you soon" he said. Raven nodded and watched him run towards the others. Once everyone was inside, the aircraft levitated and took off. She watched them disappear in the distance and once she was sure they were out of sight, she opened a portal and disappeared on the ground and reappeared in the chamber that held Slade captive in his own body.

The bracelet slowed his healing but didn't stop it completely. With a flick of her hand, the bracelet was encased in her dark energy and snatched from his wrist. Soon after, he was encased in a dark, reddish aura as he levitated above the cot he was laying on. The process seemed slow and she proceeded to recite an incantation and bonds of rock were formed around his hands, feet and chest so by the time that his healing ended and he fell back on the cot, the bonds would immediately fuse with the surface, containing him until she got the information she needed.

She left him in the chamber, and headed towards the bigger room where the monks would be gathered. She assured father Dawa she was feeling better but needed a place to meditate and heal herself further. Once he showed her a quiet place, she gave instructions of not engage him in case that somehow he woke up or managed to escape her spell.

After almost a day, she was finally healed. She had checked on Slade but was still in a healing trance. She occupied her time by helping the monks clean up. The remnant of the robots were sent into another dimension not wanting to bury them in the snow for someone else to find. Robin had left her another communicator and he called her as soon as they arrived right after Garfield. Meliah was already in the medical bay.

After the third day, she opened her eyes with a start interrupting her meditation. She disappeared in a portal that took her to Slade who was now struggling to escape the rock shackles.

"Hello Slade… comfortable?" she asked as she leaned against a wall with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Ah, Raven. I wonder what compelled you to et me heal so soon"

"I want to know what kind of deal did you want to make with Meliah. What does she have that made you find a cure to her illness, unless you were lying… either way, you cant go anywhere until I find out, so save me and yourself the aggravation and tell me what is it that you want"

"I wasn't lying. There is a cure for what she has but I can assure you Cyborg wont be able to find it without my help"

"And why is that?"

"Because not only requires your fiancé's blood but another key component that I wont tell you about until you help me"

Raven pushed herself off the wall and with a flick of her hand, Slade was slammed against the wall behind him. The bonds melting into the rock there as well. He grunted briefly at the sudden pain but said nothing.

"So let me get this straight. You wanted me to help you all along and yet you tried to make the deal with her? Help me understand, how would that work in your mind, because sure as hell it doesn't make sense to me"

"it doesn't matter now Raven. All I can tell you is that if you don't help me, your father will visit real soon and this time, he wont give you the chance to consider how to defeat him"
