Stiles was waiting impatiently by the door, foot tapping, platter of chocolate chip cookies in his hand, backpack slung over his shoulder. He looked over his shoulder as his dad shuffled down the stairs. "Breakfast's on the table. I'm probably going to stay with Dere-" Stiles began but the sheriff raised one hand to stop him.

"It's too early to have this talk. Get your jeep and come home after school. You're still grounded." Mr. Stilinski said as he got himself a cup of coffee and sat down with his omelet.

"But Daaaaaaaad." Stiles whined.

"He's here." The sheriff mentioned as he nodded out the window. Stiles' breath hitched when he saw him. It seemed a life time ago when they were last together when really; Derek had snuck into Stiles' room that night because the boy had a nightmare. Derek cuddled Stiles and they slept together before Stiles hurried Derek out the window and went about fixing cookies and breakfast and preparing for the long Monday that lay ahead of him. Stiles loved the tired look in Derek's eyes, and he loved the way his shoulders seemed to un-tense when he caught sight of his mate. "Your carriage awaits." The sheriff said sarcastically. This pulled Stiles out of his musings, reminding him that air was necessary. Stiles hurried to the car, pushing the plate of cookies into Derek's hands.

"What's wrong?" Derek asked urgently, slipping into the car next to him and sniffing the cookies experimentally. Stiles knew he was blushing, he could feel it on his face.

"I...ah...it's embarrassing..." Stiles said hoping Derek would drop it but it was simply not meant to be. "When I saw you...I had all this...stuff...going on in my head I just...well...I forgot to breathe for a second or two." Stiles said smiling weakly. Derek looked pleased oddly enough. "But who needs air anyway right? I mean what does air think it is? Sittin there like it owns the place. Doesn't everyone forget to breathe every now and then? Well at least when they see you I bet they do. It's not fair. You get to be all perfect and I'm pale and skinny and-" Stiles rambled nervously before Derek cut him off with a kiss. It was light and gentle.

"I missed you too." He murmured as he started up the car and began driving to the high school. Surprisingly not late this time, Derek had time to hide the cookies in one of the drawers of the desk before his first class started. It was going to be a long week. Especially with Stiles grounded.
