Disclaimer: I do not own Teen Wolf

After hours, and I really mean hours, of fruitless searching in every and any store still open, after looking through empty shelves and bare, stripped shops he finally found each of the things he was looking for. By the time he got back to the Stilinski residence it was 11:00. He left the presents in the car, wanting them to be a surprise for Stiles. When he walked into the warm house his eyes landed on the tree. Brightly lit and trimmed with gifts. He wondered what Stiles had gotten him and, seeing as no one was in the room, he rummaged through the presents until he had looked at every single one. There was no present for him from Stiles. He began to instantly regret buying those things for his mate but then, when would Stiles have gotten him something? Derek had been hovering close to the boy since the...incident. He'd barely left Stiles alone unattended. Derek shook these thoughts out of his head and went up to his boyfriend's room. Still sleeping, Derek'd been gone for hours. He sat down next to the sleeping boy on the bed. He'd been tossing and turning again. Derek felt a scowl twist his face but he pulled Stiles into his arms. He felt him tense at being woken up but then he melted into the embrace, looping his arms around Derek's neck and his legs around Derek's waist.

"I missed you." Derek murmured as he buried his nose in the crook of Stiles's neck.

"Me too." Stiles mumbled. Derek thought about his horrendous wrapping skills and wondered whether he should just give the gifts to Stiles unwrapped. But then what kid doesn't love the thrill of tearing through the paper on Christmas morning? Derek couldn't leave Stiles alone again. Not twice in one day.

"So what're the plans for tomorrow?" Derek mumbled.

"Sleep in." Stiles started off and by his sleeping in he meant 7:18. "Watch Elf. Make pancakes. Open presents. Then dad usually goes to work. While he's gone I make a big dinner." Stiles said smiling.

"Elf? Of all Christmas movies?" Derek grumbled.

"I like the way he makes food." Stiles said grinning. Derek nodded.

"I got you some things but..." He sat back. "I'm horrible at wrapping." Derek huffed.

"You haven't wrapped them yet?" Stiles asked incredulously. Derek shrugged.

"Well I'll play video games on the couch and you can wrap behind the couch so you can keep an eye on me and still get it done." Stiles said smiling as he slipped out of bed and down the stairs with Derek trailing after him. Why was Stiles so perfect in situations like this? Derek finally got his wrapping done and the two were in bed by midnight.

"Stiles?" Derek murmured.

"Yeah Sour Wolf?" Stiles asked sleepily.

"Merry Christmas." Derek mumbled as he huddled closer to his mate.

"You too." Stiles said as he kissed Derek lightly on the cheek.
