"Jack, you need to get inside!" Tooth pleaded. Jack was shivering, his paper-white skin turning even whiter, almost a dark gray. The ice had spread, leaving half his body solid. A burning pain slowly spread, making Jack wince with pain periodically.

"B-b-but-" he tried weakly, his mouth half leaden, barely opening to form the words, let alone speak.

"Don't try to talk, mate," Bunny said, ears twitching, "it will only make it worse." Often, he and Bunny had had arguments and competitions, disagreeing on almost everything. But just this once, Jack had to agree- there was no use trying to talk, no use trying anymore.

But Elsa…. Jack thought forlornly, blue eyes downcast, I promised Anna that Elsa would come home… before she freezes…

That was when it hit him.

Elsa, trapped in her own storm.

Kristoff, searching blindly, unable to find her.

Anna- She's with Hans though, she'll… she'll be okay… Jack remembered. Once Hans kissed Anna, the spell would be broken, and she would be saved, waiting tirelessly for Elsa to come home.

But who would save him?

He shook the thought away- he couldn't think about it now. Anna's and Elsa's lives were at stake, now Kristoff's as well. And it was all his fault. He should have carried Elsa home the entire way, no matter how much she would have protested. He should have made sure he kept his promise to Anna.

He groaned, trying to get North's attention. Sandy was currently trying to cheer up Tooth, who's feathers looked as if they were losing their color, her wings becoming less of a blur as she hovered. Kristoff's shawl was still around her, keeping her as warm as the worn out fabric possibly could. North though, was busy arguing with himself, how the engines on the sleigh were starting to freeze over, and how they would stay that way if he didn't get the thing started. Jack felt his head loll to one side, the ice on the one side weighing him down until he found himself crashing to the ground, hearing a loud crack as ice collided with his skull. Bunny jumped, the Sandman sliding his way over.

"Looks like you took a bad fall, mate," Bunny clicked his tongue, Sandy swirling golden dream sand over his head.

"You think?" Jack wanted to say, but the ice did not allow him to. Instead, he rolled his eyes as best he could, wincing as Bunny picked him up gingerly. Jack wouldn't have liked to admit it, but feeling Bunny's warm fur against his cold skin was overwhelming, and he felt eh warmth flood through his unfrozen half as Bunny carried him to North's sleigh. Sandy meanwhile, was trying to distract Jack, weaving sand in and out of his field of vision.

So, Jack obliged, taking the time to admire the curls and tendrils that floating in the air. Jack blinked, memories suddenly flooding his brain fighting for his utmost attention.

His sister, on the ice.

Himself, crashing through, freezing and drowning to death, only to be resurrected by the mysterious Man In The Moon.

Pitch, stealing Tooth's teeth, turning her palace into a dungeon.

Being thrown into a chasm.

Regaining who he was, realizing who he was destined to be.

Helping Jamie fight of Pitch, getting Sandy back his dream sand.

Meeting Anna…

Meeting Elsa….. He smiled- or at least tried to. It looked like his face was a mirror, showing one thing, but giving another. Nonetheless, he grinned. Although it had been unfortunate circumstances, he thought Elsa was…. gosh, he thought she was beautiful. The fact that she had built her own castle was impressive, but all he could remember was how she had helped rescue herself back at her castle, turning Pitch's head into a popsicle. Sandy was still at work, trying to make sure Jack stayed distracted. As he looked, he remembered how he and the other Guardians went searching for teeth, to help children believe in Tooth before she disappeared completely.

They had been around the world in a single night- something north always did that one day of the year. All of them had made a contest of it, trying to pick up the most teeth and leaving the most extravagant gift before the night was over, before the child woke up. That was so much fun… Jack reminisced, shoulders shaking as he tried to laugh, resulting in pain shooting gip his face, down his arms and leg.

Noticing this, Sandy waved his arms faster, a surplus of sand shooting from his small chubby fingers. Jack heard Bunny sneeze as sand wafted into his nostrils.

"What is happening?!" he could hear North say, as Bunny approached the sleigh, laying him down gently. Bunny shrugged.

Jack knew he was saying something, but it didn't matter. He was still lost in thought, his eyes glued to the glowing sand….

That night, on the hunt for teeth, he remembered Jamie had woken up, as well as his little sister Sophie, who promptly began playing with North's magic snow globe. Of course, the little excursion to try and get them back to sleep resulted in Sandy using his sand on everyone- leaving Jack to watch what sort of things they dreamed of, what they wished for.

He and remembered Bunny was dreaming of carrots once he fell asleep, the fat vegetables dancing in his head like stars were in his eyes after a bad fall.

I wonder, Jack narrowed his eyes at the sand, what would Elsa dream of?

Immediately, the sand begun to spin, until it created a silhouette. The Guardians watched in amazement as the sand formed the dress, the dainty body, the long cape… At this point, Sandy had stopped weaving, leaving the sand to work its magic.

"Is that….?" Tooth asked, flying over. Bunny and Sandy nodded, North crossing his arms. Jack's blue eyes were wide with what the others could only describe as rapture.

They all knew whom the sand was depicting, what Jack was wishing for.

Jack was wishing for Elsa.

And deep down, as his body froze, he was wishing Elsa was dreaming of him.
