Chapter 14

(Normal Pov)

Levy once again got ready for another date and to be honest she was quite sick of dates even though this was only her third date.

"Lu-Chan, where is my date this time?" Levy sighed.

"It's a picnic at the beach," Lucy smiled.

'Hopefully, this will be the last date.' Levy thought to herself as she headed out the door.

Levy took the bus down to the beach. She walked around for a bit on the sand, trying to find a picnic blanket and a basket.

Unexpectedly, something smashed into her shoulder knocking her to the ground.

"Owie," Levy mumbled rubbing her butt.

"Sorry." The person grumbled.

She looked up to see a hand held out for her to grab. She took the hand and was swiftly pulled up.

She had a good look at the guy. He was well built, had a lot of piercings and had long black hair.

"Hey shrimp, by any chance are you my date?" He rubbed the back of his neck, looking away from the blunette.

"Yeah, and my names Levy, not shrimp." Levy smiled, but pouted whilst saying 'shrimp'.

"Whatever shrimp, I'm Gajeel," Gajeel shrugged.

"STOP CALLING ME SHRIMP!" Levy yelled.

Gajeel chuckled, before he picked her up and placed her on his shoulder.

"Let's go to the picnic area." He grunted.

"Put me down! My legs are there for a reason. They are meant for walking," Levy pouted as she hit Gajeel's back with her tiny fists.

Once they got to the area where the picnic area Gajeel finally put down Levy. They both sit down and start eating the lunch packed for them.

"So Gajeel, what do you do for a living?" Levy asked before biting into a salad sandwich triangle.

"I'm a mechanic, so I fix cars." He grunted before chewing on a metal spoon.

'He's chewing on a spoon! That can't be normal!' Levy mentally screamed.

"Well, I work in the library. I love reading books." Levy smiled, with her eyes sparkling slightly.

"So, you're a bookworm, huh?" he smirked.

"HEY!" Levy shrieked.

Then there was an awkward silence, a long awkward silence. Levy decided to talk up because Gajeel didn't seem like he was going to start talking any time soon.

"So, how did you join the dating sight?" Levy quizzically asked.

"A friend though it would be funny to make me join," Gajeel grunted.

Levy nodded, "That's kind of how I joined, by a friend."

Levy wasn't going to explain why Lucy made her join because that's just embarrassing.

There was another silence after that small conversation but this time it wasn't too awkward.

"Well, I should get going," Levy got up.

"Yeah same," Gajeel stated.

"Well, cya around shrimp," Gajeel smirked and started to walk off.

Levy glared for a moment, and then smirked.

"Bye metal face!" she yelled back.

He turned around and smirked, "Yeah, whatever." Levy heard him grunt.

Levy smiled to herself and started to walk home.

(At Lucy's and Levy's house)

'Levy should be home soon.' Lucy thought to herself.

'Natsu is at work, probably slacking off but still he's not here and it's so boring with nobody here.' The blonde whined to herself.

Surprisingly the door opened and showed a happy looking Levy. Lucy dashed over to her blue haired best friend.

'Yay friends, well friend!' Lucy smiled on the inside.

"So, how was the date?" Lucy asked.

"Well, my date and I had nothing in common and he wasn't very chatty, but there was something that I really liked about him. I mean he looked all tough on the outside but I have a feeling he's the exact opposite on the inside." Levy smiled brightly.

'Hmm, that sounds like Natsu's friend Gajeel.' Lucy tapped her chin.

Unexpectedly the door burst open. Levy and I both shoot our heads towards the door.

"Hey Luce, y'know how I also signed up Metal face to that dating sight, well he's found himself a crush." Natsu was grinning like an idiot.

"Argg Salamander, shut up!" Gajeel grunted whilst walking into the house.

"Oh hey bunny girl, bookworm- WHAT?" he looked at Levy with a confused expression.

"HUH?" they both Levy and Gajeel yelled in unison.
